Really sweet opening ceremony with the titles being represented, I like Del Santo putting down the tag belts. If Haybusa didn't already have to be apart of the huge main event then a I could see a tag title match tonight, instead maybe we'll see it in the future? Though who knows now that Santo has to deal with Jig next week!

The title spot really is heating up! When Santo is done with Jig he'll have to take on Psicosis, Mysterio, or Tursas? I'd give Jig the belt, none of those options sound good! Though Santo is a great sneaky old school heel champion! I wonder where all this will leave Generico?

I was shocked to see Shark Boy defeat UMB, he's got a new member coming to his stable I figured this would just be a match to help build him up even more so that his group becomes even bigger! Instead He loses Hydra to Shark Boy? I've got to say, I actually am a big fan of that move! Hydra & Shark Boy are a perfect match!

INSANE main event! I like that Hayabusa was there with all the monsters so it wasn't just destruction but a nice bit of aerial assault as well! I mean Pheonix splash from the balcony?! Awesome! Interesting ending with Excaliber coming into play once again, maybe we won't see Mankind vs Dragon one on one but could we see Excaliber get back into the ring to join Dragon in a tag match?! Possibly one of your best shows dude.

Thanks for all the feedback, appreciate it. Just to follow up a couple of points.

- The problems in Faceless are closer to breaking point than you think. Big plans for this storyline.

- I honestly didn't realise the genius of a Shark Boy/Hydra team until I started writing that match, and it did play a role in switching the winner. UMB still has a big role to play it upcoming events, don't you worry.

- Mankind/Super Dragon still has a couple of twists and turns to play out yet. Keep reading.... ;)

- Tursas was a last minute edition to the triple threat match, I realised he had as much right to be there as anyone. Plus, the match has a whole new dynamic now.

Episode 8

Excaliber welcomes us to the show and hypes tonights double main event, as the Open Champion defends and his next contender is named. Excaliber also promises the debut of the latest star to join MWW!

Match 1
Dragon Kid
220px-DragonKid.jpg

vs.
Green Ant
green-ant-head.jpg

The resilient rookie asked for this match following the Colony’s tag title loss two weeks ago. Green attempts to keep the match on the floor, negating Kid’s high flying tactics. He works the shoulder but is caught with a freak roll up for three by Kid.

Post match, Carpenter Ant and Worker Ant run down and stomp away at Dragon Kid whilst a conflicted Green Ant looks on. Hayabusa runs down to try and end the assault but Green Ant then blindsides Hayabusa. The Colony lay out the tag champs as Worker Ant yells at the camera “that was for Fire Ant & Soldier Antâ€.

Ebessan makes his way to the ring, joking with and high fiving fans at ringside. Excaliber introduces his opponent....

“The American Nightmare†Cody Rhodes!

Match 2
Cody Rhodes
codymask.jpg

vs.
Ebessan
ebessan.jpg

Ebessan offers a handshake which is promptly ignored by Rhodes. Rhodes gets caught with an arm drag and back drop early on, and Ebessan tries to bring the match into slow motion. Rhodes is having none of it and assaults Ebessan with headbutts before sending him into the ring post. Rhodes nails the beautiful disaster kick and goes for the cover but pulls Ebessan up at two and adds the CrossRhodes for the three count.

Match 3
Deep Sea Danger
Shark-Boy-tna-superstar-15-1.jpg

vs.
The Neo Solar Temple
ultramantis-head.jpg
imagesqtbnANd9GcQ5mwk0LX6AyZofAU9SotENyhnjo5RzEhrI tSxVbjrwSnKnF67gahpUTOiHSg.jpg

UMB demanded this match following last week’s events. Shark Boy & Hydra have to work together to overcome Crossbones, whilst UMB directs his monstrous comrade. Hydra is beaten down by NST but manages the tag to Sharky. Finish comes as Hydra tries for the Hydralock on UMB but throws him into Shark Boy and the chummer instead.

Post match, UMB voices his frustration at another loss and says things will change soon, just watch.

Excaliber welcomes, to his displeasure, Office Space. Mankind says that the stipulation made it seem like he never wanted to face Super Dragon. But people forget that he likes the pain, the punishment, the torture that another human being can dish out, especially from someone as twisted as Super Dragon. He says the stipulation simply means that he now has control over the meeting between the two of them, and offers to drop the stipulation that the two shall never meet in MWW. Excaliber voices his surprise at this offering, but Mankind adds a condition to his offer. Mankind must get the match he’s wanted for weeks now, the match he has been craving, a match between himself and Excaliber! Office Space stares intimidatingly at Excaliber before grinning and leaving, as Excaliber is speechless.

Match 4
Rey Mysterio
Rey-Mysterio-masks-57.jpg

vs.
Psicosis
25_MaskedMen_.jpg

vs.
Tursas (w/Kim Chee)
imagesqtbnANd9GcTO9ShTfaCVGKxLm-1aseMFW3TfAiWzsorV3oMfUiewyfPwxSmP-FaYcf7r.jpg
14_MaskedMen_.jpg

Winner gets the next shot at the Open Champion. Mysterio and Psicosis put aside past differences to double team the massive European warrior. Tursas gets an impressive spot though when he gorilla presses Mysterio into Psicosis, taking both down. Tursas is able to dominate BOTH guys at once for a period, before missing a turnbuckle splash. Mysterio & Psicosis take the opportunity to get Tursas out of the contest for a bit with a hurricanrana combined with low-bridging the top rope to send the big man to the floor.

Mysterio & Psicosis renew their feud from Mexico and perform counter after counter. Mysterio looks like he has the win when he counters a powerbomb in splash mountain, but Tursas pulls the referee from the ring. Whilst the ref argues with Kim Chee, Delirious runs down and throws Mysterio into the turnbuckle shoulder first. He attempts to take down Psicosis but is thrown over the top rope onto Tursas and Kim Chee. Mysterio waits for Psicosis to turn around but is blindsided surprisingly by Crossbones. Psicosis is confused, but heads up and hits the Guillotine legdrop for the three count.

Post match, Ultramantis Black claps his approval in the aisle. What the heck is going on here? Either way, Psicosis will face the winner of tonights main event for the Open Championship in the coming weeks!

Excaliber announces from the interview area that he will not cave to Mankind’s demands, and books Super Dragon vs. Leatherface for next week as well as Tiger Mask II vs. The Great Sasuke and finally, Incoherence will challenge Trust! for the tag team titles.

Match 5
Faceless
Hellinacell.jpg

vs.
The Super Smash Brothers
unodosprofile.jpg

Both teams need wins, Faceless are on a bit of a losing streak following their final loss to Trust!, and SSB have been inconsistent in MWW, but have a beef with Faceless going back to the first few shows. The communication problems between Sin Cara Azul & Negro aren’t getting any better with Negro refusing to tag in repeatedly. When he finally does, Azul cleans house with a series of impressive aerial moves. The SSB manage to slow him down though after a superkick from Dos. Cara avoids Fatality and dives for his corner but Negro steps off the apron! Sin Cara Azul continues to fight valiantly by his self but falls to a second attempt at Fatality and the SSB get a big win.

Post match, Sin Cara Negro hops back into the ring to pick his partner up, only to throw him to the floor. He throws Azul into the metal barricade and then grabs a steel chair and delivers repeated shots to him. Negro whips Azul into the steel steps as Azul is in bad shape, bloodied by his tag team partner. Negro then rubs salt into the wound by tearing Azul’s mask off his head and leaving him lying in a bloody heap at ringside.

Main Event: MWW Open Championship Match
El Hijo del Santo w/Octagon
hijo-del-santo-300x350.jpg
octagon.jpg

vs.
Jigsaw
jigsaw-head.jpg

The two survival of the fittest finalists meet again, as Santo defends the Open Championship for the first time. Jigsaw outwrestles Santo to begin with, but is tripped by Octagon at ringside. This leads to El Generico coming to ringside to counter Octagon and support Jigsaw. Octagon just bullies Jigsaw around in the ring, relying on methodical, old school offense. He makes the mistake of arguing about a two count though, leaving him open to a superkick from Jig. Jig takes back control and looks to have the match won with Jig & Tonic but Octagon distracts the referee from counting the fall. This leads El Generico to fight Octagon at ringside. Sadly, this gives Santo the opening to land a low blow and roll up Jigsaw for the three count. El Hijo del Santo gets out of dodge again as we conclude another edition of Masked Wrestlers Wrestling!

First off, I'm glad that this is back. Second, nice move bringing in Rhodes and even tie in the mask to make it work properly. I'm now sitting here trying to think of other guys you could bring in under some sort of mask. I can see Ultramantis getting pissed and I can't wait to see what he comes up with, since its clear the Neo Solar Temple can't continue losing.

Mysterio/Psicosis/Tursas sounds great even though I'm bummed that Tursas didn't win. I hope he becomes even more prominently featured here though, because he's a really great talent and hey, I can't get a Tursas fix anywhere else. :( I remembered that Faceless was in the midst of imploding back when you were doing this originally, so its nice to see that finally come to a head. Looking forward to seeing what's in store for their inevitable feud.

Nice to see you have a couple of solid matches for next show already. Super Dragon/Leatherface should be delightfully brutal and I'd never complain about Misawa vs. Sasuke.

Coming up on the next edition of Masked Wrestler's Wrestling

If you want violence we've got it, as Big Van Vader & Abyss clash in singles competition. The Monster as awoken by Vader back during episode 3 and the two have waged war ever since. It's a battle of the super heavyweights that you'd only see in MWW. Meanwhile, Super Dragon goes one one one with the psychotic Leatherface. The accomplice of Mankind has beaten twice by Dragon so far in MWW, will he get that elusive win this time? Or is a pissed of Super Dragon too much for the Office Space member to handle?

Our main event of the evening promises first class tag team wrestling as MWW Tag Team Champions Trust! defend the titles against Incoherence. Can the crazed team of Hallowicked & Frightmare bring an early end to the reign of Hayabusa & Dragon Kid?

All this, plus the first women's match in MWW, and words from "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes & Sin Cara Negro. Tune in for the 9th episode of Masked Wrestler's Wrestling!

Episode 9

Excaliber welcomes us to the 9th edition of Masked Wrestler’s Wrestling, and is about to introduce the opening match but his microphone is snatched by Mankind. Mankind reminds Excaliber of his little proposal and promises not to go too rough with him if he accepts. Mankind then introduces his ally in chaos and destruction, the nefarious and handsome, Leatherface!

Match 1
Leatherface
leatherface.jpg

Vs.
Super Dragon

SuperDragon.jpg

Dragon walks to the ring and suddenly starts laying into Mankind! Leatherface gets the upper hand and throws Dragon into the ring to officially start the match. Leather stomps away and pounds at Dragon before exposing the top turnbuckle and slamming Dragon’s head into it. Mankind tries to get into the ring and get himself a receipt but is ordered to the back by the referee. Excaliber comes down to ringside to help command Mankind to the locker room, while Leather takes the opportunity to low blow Dragon and bite his head. Mankind stares down Excaliber in the aisle before laughing as he’s escorted to the locker room. Meanwhile, Leatherface attempts a powerbomb but is backdropped by Dragon. Dragon manages to mount a comeback and hit repeated curb stomps. After the fourth, the referee stops the match out of concern for Leatherface’s safety.

Post match, Dragon hoists up Leather and drops him with a Psychodriver. Mankind appears at the aisle with a microphone and says “it’s not exactly fair you get to play with my friends while I don’t get to play with yours, is it?†He grabs Excaliber and reminds him of his offer, before pointing at Dragon and telling him he can get what he wants if his friend his willing to get his hands dirty for once.

Match 2
Volador Jr. & Kendo Nagasaki
2vazb5k.jpg
kendo_nagasaki203_203x152.jpg

vs.
Los Guerrero’s del Infiernal

u_guerrero.jpg
1192112686_f.jpg

A unique combination here as Volador & Kendo combine forces to battle one of MWW’s top tag teams. Unfortunately their inexperience teaming together shows as they’re unable to keep up with the fluidity of Bucanero & Guerrero. Guerrero finishes off Volador with a powerbomb from the second rope for the three count.

Excaliber welcomes to the stage “The American Nightmare†Cody Rhodes. Excaliber welcomes Rhodes to MWW & asks him about his goals here in the company. Rhodes says “that’s a stupid question, as it’s the goal of anybody to be the best in the company. And to achieve that, I need to win the MWW Open Championship. What makes me different to every other wrestler who wants that title? Courage. I’m not a coward like every other wrestler, and yourself Excaliber, because of one reason: my mask. My mask hides nothing, I hide nothing, everyone else hides their true selves behind colourful patterns and designs. I am reality, and the reality of MWW is going to be exposed very soon.

Match 3
Saturyne
saturyne-head.jpg

Vs.
Raisha Saeed

raisha-saeed-shimmer.jpg

The first women’s match in MWW is now! Both women go straight at it at the bell, with Saturyne getting the upper hand by sending Saeed to the floor with a dropkick before teasing a dive. Saeed regains her composure and takes control in the ring, grounding the inexperienced intergalactic luchadora. She really exerts her control with a curbstomp, showing there’s no holding back from these ladies! Saturyne manages to regain herself with a sweet hurricanrana and flying crossbody, but makes a mistake in going for the “Rings of Saturyneâ€, as she’s easily countered by Saeed. Saeed hits a German Suplex and follows with an Air Raid Crash for the three count.

Match 4
Tiger Mask II
tiger_mask2_01.jpg

Vs.
The Great Sasuke

great-sasuke.jpg

Tiger Mask remains composed at the bell, refusing to get suckered in by Sasuke. Sasuke tries to use all the cheap tactics in his book to make Tiger lose his cool, but Tiger keeps calm and nails a beautiful dropkick right on the jaw of Sasuke. Sasuke shouts obscenities across the ring as he continues to try and throw Tiger off his game, but is greeted with a wicked roaring elbow. Tiger almost gets three count off of that, but Sasuke just about gets his arm up. Tiger is quick to follow with a Tiger Suplex. Tiger stares down at Sasuke, does the cutthroat motion, and nails a Tiger Driver for a surprising three count!

Post match, Sasuke flips off the crowd and shouts at the camera that Tiger got lucky.

Match 5
The Colony (Fire Ant & Soldier Ant)
fire-ant-head.jpg
soldier-ant-head.jpg

Vs.
Aerial Xpress

ScorpioSky.jpg
imagesqtbnANd9GcTqGIbwIk8SlAopyvwPGlI9PTfqd781YxV6 uH7QsztbZd8FT_l5LpJ3ONO6.jpg

Scorpio Sky & Quicksilver are quick to go on the attack, with repeated dropkicks cause The Colony to regroup. The ants are able to control the match with submission moves targeting the arm of Sky, possibly setting him up for the CHIKARA special. During the match, Carpenter Ant joins Excaliber on commentary, and promises a confrontation with the tag champs at the end of the show. Meanwhile, Quicksilver is in off the tag with a springboard lariat followed by an electric chair drop. He goes for the Silver Bullet but Soldier Ant breaks that up. The Colony goes for the double corner dropkicks, but Sky is pulled out of the ring by Scorpio Sky. Sky goes for a corkscrew-like move but misses either ant, landing badly on the injured arm. This leaves him vulnerable to the CHIKARA Special, as Carpenter Ant laughs manically on commentary. Clearly got a screw loose that one.

Excaliber is on the stage to talk to Sin Cara Negro, who is quick to usher Excaliber away. Negro says he’s sick of trying to get along with people, sick of trying to be something he’s not, sick of being held back by partners who have no killer instinct. He takes off the Sin Cara mask to reveal a new mask, and renounces the Sin Cara name, telling everyone it’s now Hunico’s time, before throwing the mic down and leaving.

Excaliber reclaims the microphone and announces an 8 man tag match as next week’s main event: Rey Mysterio, Jigsaw, El Generico & Psicosis vs. MWW Open Champion El Hijo del Santo, Octagon, Tursas & Delirious!

Match 6
Abyss
promo_abyss.jpg

Vs.
Big Van Vader

Leon_White.jpg

It’s an expected brawl to begin with, with Vader stiffing Abyss with several shots to the face. Abyss manages to defend himself and toss Vader into, and through, the guardrail, taking out several people at ringside in the process. The fight continues through the crowd as Vader fights back by launching a few chairs at Abyss before taking him down with more punches to the head.

The battle eventually returns to the ring, where both men grab each other by the throat. Vader wins this battle and nails a chokeslam for a two count. He drags Abyss to the corner and goes for a Vaderbomb but Abyss intercepts and uses Vader’s position on the second rope to not just chokeslam, but throw Vader across the ring. Again, only a two count. Abyss goes to the outside retrieve his bag of tricks, and pours thumbtacks into the ring. He throws Vader to the ropes in a Black Hole Slam attempt, but Vader just mows him down instead. He attempts a powerbomb onto the tacks but is backdropped onto them instead! Abyss then seizes the opportunity to chokeslam Vader again and scores the win. Abyss gets redemption from his opening show loss.

Main Event: MWW Tag Team Championship Match
Trust! (w/Sexy Star)
220px-DragonKid.jpg
hayabusa.jpg
STAR.jpg

Vs.
Incoherence

hallowicked-head.jpg
frightmare-head.jpg

First title defence for the champs, and not an easy one. Dragon Kid and Frightmare attempt to out manoeuvre one another, but after no advantage is made, they tag in their partners. Hallowicked & Hayabusa are more blunt and go right at it, with Wicked getting the upper hand with a big boot catching Hayabusa coming down from the top rope. Incoherence work over Hayabusa in the corner with several double team moves, stopping Hayabusa from making the tag repeatedly.

Eventually the tag is made, and in comes Dragon Kidd to turn the tide. He’s able to fight off Incoherence for a while with his high flying offense, but is caught during a crossbody by Hallowicked, who hits Go 2 Sleepy Hollow for a two count. Hayabusa dropkicks ‘Wicked to the outside, and follows him with a Shooting Star Press from the top turnbuckle! Meanwhile, Frightmare hits Kneecolopsy for another close two count on two count on Dragon Kid. Frightmare then heads up top, but is caught out by Kidd, who hits an astonishing Dragonrana from the top rope! The three count is academic!

Post match, The Colony make good of their promise and hit the ring en masse to assault both teams. Worker Ant holds back Sexy Star as she tries to help her charges, but the effects on the match have taken their toll on Trust! & Incoherence. Suddenly.....

Ultimo Dragon arrives in MWW! The trainer of Dragon Kid & long time friend of Hayabusa clears the Colony from the ring, apart from Soldier Ant, who’s left to suffer a running Liger bomb for his troubles. The Colony retreat as Dragon embraces his friends. The sides have evened out in this feud for the tag titles!

If I was watching this on TV, I'd probably mark for ultimo dragon. And the Abyss vs Vader match sounded awesome. Another good show. Looking forward to the next one
