Not really. It was just an example to display the amount of roleplays I would rate with Chris, Claressa, Nick, or BDC on a weekly basis.

None of them were drones either, unless you consider BDC's characters as dbproject drones.

Think it's time to drop it two mod and the admin say it's not happening that way at this time.

I personally don't see the problem with the system we have now. Although I always enjoyed coming up with names for my RP's, I can live with this.

The system we have now is better. If I was on creative and had to look through 30+ threads to pick the winner of a match it would take forever. They would have to open so many windows up on the intertent to compare the RP's instead of scrowling up.

Only thing I don't like is the two or more RP's in a match. I think RP's should be the best they can be and you can fit two RP's into one great RP. I don't get the point of them.

On that same topic, if I only write one RP and my opponent writes two, does that count against me and give him more points?

Roleplays are based upon stories and stories in roleplay form come in installments. The more roleplays a person does within a week, the more of their character's story they can tell within a week.

Technically speaking, yes. However, if both of the roleplays are really bad, and your single roleplay is really good, you have a chance at winning.

It only counts against you if his two were better than your one.

My opinion rp caps are completly unnecessary if I do 5 rps more than like my five rps are going to be of lesser quality and each one would be a chance for me to hang myself while my opponent could do one outstanding rp. But the flip argument is what if I did 5 outstanding rps to one shitty rp but in my opinion if the guys going to be shitty it doesn't matter how many he does.

I'm just wondering if creative would give him points for doing 2. I'm saying I have a good RP and he has a good RP and a horrible RP if he would get the extra point for writing the other RP even if it sucked.

Character Development is very important but you can do it over time. People don't need two RP's in a week to get their point accross. Nothing good comes up with multi-rp's. It allows people to piggyback on other RP's that were posted before theirs and that's not a fair way to win.

Yeah, he would get those extra few points.

Yeah, you can do it over time, but you can't do that much with it. Most feds have more than a 1-3 roleplay cap per match if they have caps. And this is not a trash-talking so piggybacking is harder to do, but it's still possible. That's another reason why I don't like having them in one thread.

Yeah, he would get those extra few points.

Says who? If I were writing the match and he did one that was great and one that was horrible I'd give him an average like 3/4 so if the other guy did an rp equally good to the one guys first rp then the guy that did two would lose cause he didn't know when to stop.

I'd love to do some chaining but nobodies really tried it too much closest we had were me and Allen referencing each others rps but they weren't really a direct continuation like a chain.

Yeah. I'd love to chain too. However, the single roleplay thread kind of hinders that too.

The multiple RP caps are there to encourage people to RP (for the exact reason you stated, 1 X 2, the person with two would win if they were of comparable quality, which means they would both have to put extra effort into it) and to separate main-eventers from curtain jerkers. It makes no sense for everyone to have the same RP caps - they're not giving John Cena the same time limit as Justin Gabriel, so why should we?

For now, the system is staying this way. Again, we talk a lot in Creative, and are still coming up with ideas. But for now, this is how it will be done. Some people want more RPs in their caps, others want less, so we had to find a middle-ground. We're not giving anybody bigger caps if we don't think they can do it.

Really? A 2 rp cap is too much for you? ok...

I did that this week to everybody because we had a freakin week and a half!!!! BUT everybody is so insecure in their rping that they wait last minute to rp. Oh, someone might piggy back? Really? I put the best rp I can for the moment. If I lose to better quality, fine. But I'm not gonna hide in the shadows and wait for my opponent to rp so I can squeak a win by bettering them. Believe in your ability and RP, for cripes sake!! And I posted ...at the bottom of the card (you know that part apparently no body reads) that if you have issues with the cap...let me know. We ARE flexible.

It does separate the main eventers from the rabble. And, if someone makes the cap and the other guys slacks, he should win...period. How about don't' be lazy and just make the cap? Sorry I'm sounding belligerent (cause, if you know me, I'm not), but sheesh. It's NOT THAT HARD. I personally want to know all I can about your character. It builds the show. WHICH IS THE POINT TO ME. The more I know about your character, the more I can build him or her on the show.

And I would rather have a couple of concise, well written and organized rps than one jumbled mess that has no point other than to tell us the play by play of the character's life. I try to make my rps have a point. They say something about my character and his opponents. They loop everything back to the match. Not just...hey, I had a sandwich and then it's the next day and I tried to kill some guy. IDK, I'm probably being too harsh.

How about we do this, because I really don't want a lot of ranting and crap on the discussion. PM me and let me know how you feel about the subject and the Staff will get together and make a decision, ok?

PERSONAL NOTE: I am guilty this week of not Rping till today. This is not because I'm jockeying for position, but because I became rather busy on the first week. That is the only reason I see that someone could be against the cap. Just send me your thoughts. I'm going to personally be doing SIX rps between here and Friday. I wont' wait around to the last minute. I won't be playing the game here. I will shoot them straight and let the wins or loses fall where they may.
