re: 2013 WWE HOF Discussion

Mike Tyson was inducted last year.

They normally induct 6/7 so with four already announced I can see them inducting one celebrity and one team to close out this year's list.

This they were WWF's answer to the Road Warriors and nearly as sucessful.

Have to agree with most that this is one of the best HOF lineups ever, am glad Bruno is being honored, but also suprised as I felt if it hadn't happened until now then it never would.

re: 2013 WWE HOF Discussion

Lauper would be a good celebrity inductee. Better than some of the ones they have.

Not totally in favour of the celebrity wing, but do agree that if it has to exist then she should be in it, its just history right. Also she is not a rapest like some..

Mr T, Trump, Mayweather, and Barker should all be considered too.

Keep the MSG theme going and put in Lauper and an old school tag team. Not sure who other than Demolition but they were after the MSG days. All the great teams from that era are already in.

Curtain call happened at MSG ... I'm just saying

NAO can go in as a team separate from the Kliq, or they can just do DD with the outsiders separate.

re: 2013 WWE HOF Discussion

WWE will be inducting a celebrity into this year’s Hall of Fame class. There was actually talk of inducting Madison Square Garden as a building. This year’s class will be larger than usual.

MSG deserves it actually. It has always been a good place for WWE but is it normal to induct a building to Hall of Fame?

re: 2013 WWE HOF Discussion

That is a really interesting idea, never even thought about it. MSG has played a huge part in WWE's history and I think that it actually does make sense to induct a building as strange as it sounds. They would run the old building every month decades ago and it has hosted countless PPVs featuring many important moments in WWE history so if they were going to induct any building it would be MSG.

Inducting MSG as a whole is actually a pretty cool idea. It is iconic and a big part of the companies history, although the building they used mostly has been replaced.

Who should headline HOF this year...

Foley, Backlund and Bruno all hold valid claims to that top spot, but I think it will be a run between Bruno and Foley. Meltzer has just said Bruno is getting paid what a typical WM main eventer will be paid which is a huge sum, so will WWE want to put him in that top spot to justify it?

Re: Who should headline HOF this year...

Foley should headline. I respect what Bruno did, but he's been gone from TV for decades. That shouldn't be the only reason for somebody to NOT be the headliner, but Foley is more relevant for today's fans.

It's also the marketing campaign that they'll need to do for USA in order to get some viewership. I think the WWE can justify to the sponsors that advertising Foley as the headliner of the HOF ceremony tv taping will draw more viewers as opposed to Backlund and Bruno headlining.
