Could you sell guns to vendors in 19th century America?

I ask because in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can sell just about anything you acquire, but not firearms. Rockstar deliberately did not include the option to. Was it because in 1899 / 1907 it was illegal or not common practice to sell used guns?

    Disturbing trends in design

This question might seem a little weird because it's about a figure that was released almost twenty years ago, but I want to ask it because I can't figure the answer out on my own . Lucidique was one of, and the only female action figure of the first series of the Tortured Souls figures by...

    Mark Carrano

I'm rather shocked by the recent actions of Mark Carrano. I saw him often in Total Divas and he seemed like a good person. How he delivered the belongings of a wrestler who was being released in a trash bag seems below the kind of man he was portrayed as. Do you think what we saw on tv was a...

    The Demi Monks

The name of this thread might seem unusual, if not somewhat eccentric. I came up with it because I believe some of the competitors in WWE, even AEW, fit the bill to a certain extent. AJ Lee, Cm Punk, TJ and Natalia, Jonathan and Eva Marie all are married couples, yet they have no children and...

Did he, or did he not?

The flight attendant said he made her touch space mountain. He denies it. Tommy Dreamer said Flair had never forced himself on any women. What do we believe?

    Bizzare events thread

I've sometimes seen things happen that I can't reason too well. I'd like you to help me out with this. One event that springs to mind is when Stone Cold gave a stunner to Ken Shamrock on Raw, June 9th 1997, after he and Shamrock cleared the ring when the Hart Foundation ganged up on Mankind...

    The Lord of Darkness thread

I'd like to dedicate this thread to an era in the Undertaker's career, in which I truly believe he brought darkness to the World Wrestling Federation. His actions made it clear his intent was sinister. Namely... Throwing Mick Foley from a great height, inevitably breaking bones and injuring...

    Men vs. women

Back in 2000, WWE had Val Venís fight Chyna for the IC title in an attempt to introduce the concept of intergender competition. It didn't last too long and over the years they tried again with a number of people, but the idea wasn't adopted as a full time practice. My question to you is: should...

    2013 thread

I enjoyed 2013. It was one of the more exciting years of the company, not to mention one or the more colorful. The Funkadactals were at the height of their popularity, Brock Lesnar's return created excellent tension, the woman's division was heating up. What ingredients did WWE throw into the...

Suffer the engaged and married couples

WWE has always had the tendency to pick on the newly wedded, the soon to be wed, or on occasion, the already wed, to entertain it's fans. Undertaker, Randy Savage, Daniel Bryan, are but a few examples. This makes me want to ask one, simple question... Why didn't WWE leave them alone?!

    Heel Mabel's rap songs

After Men on a Mission were turned heel, Mabel would began to rap on the mic as he and Mo came down to the ring for their matches on TV tapings. I tried to listen to the lyrics, but I couldn't follow them too well, I heard something about a trigger, but that was about it. Can anyone tell me...

The choice to work with people or not

In present day WWE, do wrestlers have the option to refuse to work with someone. I understand many of them can't refuse to loose, that's been well documented in various sources, but can they say I don't want to wrestle with this person?

    Scape goats of wrestling

There have been a number of times when someone was put on the whipping post to presumably redress the balance. It was often done because the fans got upset by power shifting too much in favour of a stable or individual. One of the most graphic examples was the build up to the Great American...

    Self-improvement before family

If there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that you've got to make sure that you and your partner are both, and I can't stress the word both enough, settled down and happy with your lot in life. I'll give you an example: I used to have young neighbours who looked like they were happy...

    Negligent accidents

It started in 1997 and stopped for a while, before happening again. Here are some examples... First, Vader was concussed after getting thrown by Kane's pyrotechnic engine, not having been told about it beforehand, when they asked him to hide under the stage. The Undertaker was almost blinded...

    Submissive enemies

In the RE2 and RE3 remakes, Mr X and Nemesis both do the one thing that blows my mind - they go down on one knee and bow their heads after they've taken enough damage! Now let's consider the facts, both are tall, powerful entities that possess many times the endurance and strength of a human...

    Truth and lies

I've read half a dozen autobiographies of the wrestlers. They've been good reads, for better or for worse, but sometimes I've read of things that made me very uncomfortable. Like, in Sunny's bio, she says at one point in time, Paul Bearer would bring his son to WWE house shows and the...

Randy savage - the love of confrontation

In the classic era of wrestling, there were a number of wrestlers who got into trouble because of their tempers, but few could compare to the Macho Man. In 1978, after wrestling a 45 minute match in Nashville, Savage went to a waffle bar to grab a bite to eat before turning in for the night. It...

    Returning members

Hey everyone, I left this forum a couple of years ago, thinking I wouldn't want to post here again. It turns out I miss this place and would like to take part in the discussions here again. I thought I'd spin this thread to welcome old faces back, seeing as some people have a change of heart and...
