NXT STAND & DELIVER 2024
The event kicked off with a fatal four men’s division elimination tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship. It featured the defending champions the Wolf Dogs(c) and three other teams in the role of challengers. Those being the former champions the Family, the Good Brothers and the Supersonic Duo. The order of eliminations were the Family then the Good Brothers and finally the Supersonic Duo.

Next Oba Femi(c) put the NXT North American Championship on the line against Wes Lee in single’s action. Despite being at a distinct size and strength disadvantage the challenger aka Lee was able to hold his own. In the end though it would be Femi who got the wine with a huge Doctor Bomb.

In the third match of the event the NXT women’s division took center stage as the NXT Women’s Championship was up for grabs. As Lyra Valkyria(c) the champion attempting to defend against the challenger, Cora Jade.
The latter aka Jade poked her opponent in the eye and then proceeded to hit Fade to Jade to capture the title.

After that the penultimate match of the night was a one on one men’s division match for the brand’s top prize the NXT Championship. As the “Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov(c) went to war with the self proclaimed “Unwanted” Joe Gacy. This match was a brutal brawl that saw both men savage each other in the end though Dragunov hit his opponent with the Torpedo Moskau for the win

Finally the show closed out with a brutal street fight that had the future of the brand in its grasp. This match wasn’t just a normal street fight as the winner would be the man next in line at the NXT Championship, while the loser would be forced to leave the brand. As soon as the bell rang the two men who were once as close as brothers now the bitterest of enemies aka Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams beat the shit out of each other. In the end Williams hit the Trick Shot to emerge victorious. ​

ROMAN REIGNS WITH TBL VS CODY RHODES
At WrestleMania 39 the winner of the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match the “American” Nightmare” Cody Rhodes attempted and failed to win the WWE Championship.

Fast forward to 2024 and he found himself once again in the Men’s Royal Rumble and once again he won the match. The same event saw the “Tribal Chief” and current reigning and defending WWE Champion Roman Reigns(c) retain the title in a fatal four way match.

Rhodes later made the decision the only decision in his mind that made any sense, to challenge Reigns again for the title which was made official.​

The current reigning and defending World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins(c). Began the new year by retaining the title against Cm Punk at the Royal Rumble PLE.

After the winner of the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes chose to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL this left the role of challenger to the WHC vacant. At the WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth PLE.

Six male superstars from Monday Night RAW stepped inside the Elimination Chamber for a shot at the title at WrestleMania. It came down to Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre with the the former getting the win, making the match official for the show of shows.​

IYO SKY(C) VS BAYLEY
Bayley entered the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match at the number three spot and went on to win the whole thing by eliminating Liv Morgan. When it was all looking up for Bayley having a guaranteed shot at the Women's Championship at WrestleMania XL her world came crashing down.

As the rest of Damage CTRl decided to expel and banish her from the group. She didn’t waste time in deciding to challenge Iyo Sky(c) for the WWE Women’s Championship at the show of shows, however she got some revenge as she cost Damage CTRL the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.​

The company has revealed that they are planning on splitting the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship back into two separate sets of championships going forward. The current champions the Judgment Day will be defending the titles at WrestleMania XL. Plans for the match or matches at WrestleMania XL will be revealed shortly

WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
RHEA RIPLEY(C) VS BECKY LYNCH VS LIV MORGAN
Coming out of the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event it was revealed that the winners of both the men’s (Rhodes) and women’s(Bayley). Had picked the championships they would be challenging for at WrestleMania XL. For Rhodes that was the WWE Championship and for Bayley it was the WWE Women’s Championship.

At the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, six women stepped inside the Chamber to crown a number one contender to the Women’s World Championship. When it was all said and done the match ended in a double pin situation and as a result both Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan were crowned as co-number one contender. The triple threat for the title was announced for WrestleMania XL by RAW GM Adam Pearce.​
