CODY RHODES(C) VS RANDY ORTON
The first match announced for the WWE Clash at the Castle II: Scotland, premium live event concerned the WWE Championship. Coming hot off the heels of successfully retaining the championship in a triple threat match at WWE Royalty of the Ring. The current champion, the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes(c) didn’t have to wait too long to find his next challenger.

A man he knew all too well in the form of the “Apex Predator” Randy Orton. Who beat Rhodes in a Championship Eliminator match on an episode of Friday Night Smackdown to earn the title match.



WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DAMIAN PRIEST WITH TJD(C) VS DREW MCINTYRE
The second match scheduled for the WWE Clash at the Castle II: Scotland event was announced by RAW GM Adam Pearce. It revolved around the World Heavyweight Championship and came about after Drew McIntyre scored back to back victories. Over who you might ask? The first was Cm Punk and the second was Seth “Freakin” Rollins.



WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
SHAYNA BASZLER(C) VS RHEA RIPLEY
At the WWE Backlash: France PLE the “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler entered the event in the role of challenger. As she faced off with the then Women’s World Champion, the “Annihilator” Rhea Ripley. She would leave the event as the new holder of the title after defeating Ripley. This victory also meant her first reign as a Women’s Champion on the join roster. Ripley confronted Baszler on an episode of Monday Night RAW and told her she would see her in Scotland ​

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
CREED BROTHERS WITH IVY NILE(C) VS AUTHORS OF PAIN
The last Monday Night RAW presented match announced for the Clash at the Castle II: Scotland premium live event was for the World Tag Team Championship. Between the champions, Brutus and Julius Creed aka the Creed Brothers(c) and the challengers the Authors of Pain. The duo of Akam and Rezar(A.O.P) got this match after Akam beat Julius and Rezar beat Brutus in one on one action.


WWE US & WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
LEGADO DEL FANTASMA(C) V STREET PROFITS(C) & CEDRIC ALEXANDER
Smackdown GM Nick Aldis announced that a six man tag team match would take place at Clash at the Castle II. This wouldn’t be an ordinary match as it would be for both the WWE United States and WWE Tag Team Championships. As it would be Santos Escobar(c) and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma against the trio of Cedric Alexander and the Street Profits(c).


WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
BAYLEY(C) VS PIPER NIVEN
The final match added to the card of the WWE Clash at the Castle II Scotland PLE. Was a one on one women’s division match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Between the reigning and defending current champion Bayley(c) and the challenger Piper Niven.​

The commentary teams of both Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee and Friday Night Smackdown, Corey Graves and Wade Barrett welcomed the WWE Universe to the show.
Creed Brothers with Ivy Nile(c) beat the Authors of Pain to retain the World Tag Team Championship. Brutus Creed hit a Brutus Ball on Akam for the pin.


Backstage pre-recorded promos from the current WWE US Champion, Santos Escobar(c) and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma. And the trio of the current WWE Tag Team Champions the Street Profits(c) and Cedric Alexander aired.
Legado Del Fantasma with Elektra Lopez(c) beat the Street Profits(c) and Cedric Alexander. To retain the WWE United States Championship and win the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Backstage a split screen showed World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest(c) and Drew McIntyre preparing for the main event.
Shayna Baszler(c) beat Rhea Ripley via Cobra Clutch Driver to retain the Women's World Championship

Cody Rhodes(c) beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship. He countered an attempted RKO into Cross Rhodes for the pin.
Pre-recorded promos from WWE Women’s Champion Bayley(c) and Piper Niven aired.
Bayley(c) beat Piper Niven to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. It took a Belly to Bayley and a Rose Plant to get the win.
Money in the Bank was announced for July 6th 2024 in a video package.
Damian Priest with TJD(c) beat Drew McIntyre via the Razor’s Edge and help from the rest of TJD. To remain the World Heavyweight Champion.​

The first match announced for the 2024 edition of the WWE Money in the Bank premium live event. Regarded the top prize of Friday Night Smackdown, the WWE Championship. The brand’s General Manager, Nick Aldis announced that the championship would be contested in a six pack elimination match. The lineup of the match was revealed to be the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes(c) defending against AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, LA Knight, Randy Orton and Solo Sikoa.

The second match announced for the WWE Money in the Bank PLE, was a fatal four way men’s division match. For the World Heavyweight Championship. RAW GM Adam Pearce revealed that it would be Damian Priest(c) taking on Cm Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. He also added that if any other member of the Judgment Day was at ringside, they would be suspended.

In regards to the 2024 Men’s MITB Ladder match was announced to have eight men involved in it. From Monday Night RAW, Bron Breaker, Finn Balor, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn defeated Braun Strowman, Bronson Reed, Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston to qualify. Meanwhile from Friday Night Smackdown, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, WWE US Champion Santos Escobar and Shinsuke Nakamura beat Apollo Crews, Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano and Grayson Waller to qualify.

When it came to the 2024 Women’s MITB Ladder match, like the Men’s variant before it would have eight participants. From Monday Night RAW the quartet of Alba Fyre, Kairi Sane, Zelina Vega and Zoey Stark, beat Isla Dawn, Ivy Nile, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan to qualify. While from Friday Night Smackdown, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi and Tiffany Stratton beat Candice LeRae, Chelsea Green, Nia Jax and Piper Niven to do the same.


WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The final match announced for the 2024 WWE Money in the Bank premium live event, came from Monday Night RAW. As the brand’s GM, Adam Pearce announced a one on one match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Between the reigning and defending champion, “Alpha American” Chad Gable(c) and the challenger the “Beast of the Black Forest” Bronson Reed. ​

Chad Gable with AA(c) beat Bronson Reed to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Reed attempted and missed a Tsunami Splash. Which led to Gable hitting a Deadlift German Suplex for the pin.

Damian Priest(c) beat Cm Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth “Freakin” Rollins to retain the WHC. Priest pinned Punk with a South of Heaven
Summerslam was announced for the 3rd of August 2024 in a hype video.
Cody Rhodes(c) beat AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, LA Knight, Randy Orton and Solo Sikoa to retain the WWE Championship. Styles eliminated Corbin and Knight, Sikoa eliminated Styles and Orton. Rhodes put Sikoa down with Cross Rhodes. Post-match a debuting Jacob Fatu and the Togan’s of Destiny laid waste to Rhodes.
Backstage it was confirmed that Blair Davenport would challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship and Gunther would challenge for the WHC at Summerslam.
Finn Balor beat Andrade, Bron Breaker, Carmelo Hayes, Finn Balor, Jey Uso, WWE USC Santos Escobar(c), Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura to win the 2024 Men’s MITB Ladder match.​

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DAMIAN PRIEST(C) VS GUNTHER
Back at WrestleMania XL the then Mr MITB Damian Priest, cashed in his briefcase to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. From there he would successfully retain the title against the man he pinned to become the new champion, Seth “Freakin” Rollins at Backlash: France.

Then at the Royalty of the Ring PLE, he faced off with and defeated Cm Punk to remain champion. He wasn’t done there as he would also defeat Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle II Scotland event. From here he would also retain the title at Money in the Bank against the trio of Punk, Rollins and McIntyre.

The “Ring General” Gunther entered the 2024 edition of the King of the Ring tournament. In which he would defeat WWE ICC Chad Gable, Sheamus and Jey Uso and finally Randy Orton to win the tournament. As a result of this victory he earned a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam and the match was made official.​

WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
BAYLEY(C) VS BLAIR DAVENPORT
2024 saw the return of both the KOTR and QOTR tournaments as previously mentioned the “Ring General” Gunther won the KOTR. On the other side of things the 2024 QOTR tournament saw the duo of Becky Lynch and Blair Davenport to make it to the final. When it was all said and done and the dust had settled only one woman could be crowned the victor, and it was Blair Davenport who earned that honor. It was confirmed at Money in the Bank that Davenport would challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship at Summerslam.


WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - STREET FIGHT - SIKOA LAST CHANCE
CODY RHODES(C) VS SOLO SIKOA
In 2024 the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes set to work to make sure he would have another shot at the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. He accomplished the first step of his plan by winning back to back Royal Rumble matches. Joining a select few who have achieved this. At WrestleMania XL Rhodes was able to do what he couldn’t do a year previously and defeated the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns to capture the WWE Championship. From there Rhodes retained the title against both LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in a triple threat to retain the title. He would also defeat Randy Orton at Clash at the Castle II Scotland to remain champion.

At Money in the Bank in his toughest challenge to his reign so far, Rhodes was barely able to retain the title in a six pack challenge. SD GM Nick Aldis announced that he was sick and tired of the Bloodline’s actions and so he said he was going to put an end to things. At Summerslam it would be a street fight match between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes(c) and Solo Sikoa. It would be for the WWE Championship, however if Sikoa lose’s he would not get another shot at the title as long as Rhodes is champion.​
