Re: Unpopular Wrestling Opinions Redux

Jobbing is what those people did to Brodus clay on superstars

Why are we still having this conversation?

Re: Unpopular Wrestling Opinions Redux

Because its finished. We've defined what a job is and what jobbers are. It's over and done with.

I just realized over and done with is a totally redundant statement.

Also, to get things back on track, this may be a really unpopular one with some people, but the fact that Vince Russo gets blamed for destroying WCW is beyond laughable.

Re: Unpopular Wrestling Opinions Redux

A jobber is someone whose sole purpose is to lose. But someone who loses a match is still doing the job, they're just not a jobber. If you can't understand that then you're an idiot.

I wouldn't completely blame him but he has to take some of it.

Re: Unpopular Wrestling Opinions Redux

Some sure, but people who say he's directly responsible are ignoring history. I just don't get all the Russo hate when nobody even knows for sure what he did or didn't do. Hell, he's not even booking TNA anymore and people still say he's to blame for their problems!

I believe TNA should only use independent stars. This way they can bebrought onto TV and built however they want.

It also looks really bad having someone like RVD fighting for a world title after jobbing (don't question it) in the 'E!

WWE can't be used as the measuring stick as to who should or shouldn't be pushed. If WWE are too stupid to push great talent or let them go, TNA should hire and/or push them.

That's the beauty of having more than one mainstream promotion. Talent isn't appreciated one place, they can go to the other. Just like the WWF/WCW/ECW days.

Then, making the company itself look weak to the average fan.

Making booking decisions based off another companies' booking makes your company as a whole weak. WWE isn't the be all, end all of all wrestling.

That promo just made me an Eddie Kingston fan. I'd never heard of him before.

Really? He's awesome man, and talk about being able to literally talk people into a building. He may be the best in the business right now. If you haven't seen the match between him and Quack at High Noon I highly recommend it. Made my top 3 for MOTY.

Wow, this thread has been dormant for far, far too long. I'll start us off with a new one....

WWE currently blows dicks and I can't sit through more than five minutes of their programming without wanting to vomit.

So how can they improve?
