The only guys I remember him beating post-Shield break-up were ADR, Orton and Rollins. This was pre-injury, actually. And these were some good matches, honestly.
One of the things I noticed that kind of blows my mind is Daniel Bryan got injured and was out for what....6 months? He returned and his momentum was as high as ever (with the crowd anyway).
Reigns comes back from a 2 month absence - kills his momentum with the crowd. Sup with that?
You are looking at this entirely too smarky. Look at the list of kayfabe shit Punk just posted. He has done a lot more than Rollins or Ambrose in that capacity.
So crazy to think all this heat towards Roman is because people want to see Daniel Bryan succeed so bad. WowI guess people were still emotionally connected to Bryan.
He was getting screwed by The Authority all the way through 2013 (well, since SS), then in 2014 he didn't win the Rumble, he got screwed at the EC PPV, but finally got to win the WWE-WHC at Mania. People loved it!
So, then he gets injured and his father dies. That was some shit luck, right there. He had to forfeit the title due to injury and people weren't happy with that.
That's my take on it.
We've talked ad nauseum about Reigns' promos, most agree it isn't his fault he is getting the "ADR, WWE is too interested in my and fucking up my swag" treatment.I can't argue how I'm viewing it. You're definitely right, but I don't find justification in the way he's been booked besides that he's hot. Steph throws out the number 1/3 of wrestling fans are female. Maybe appeasing them. I dunno. I don't get Reigns yet. If he's a badass let him be one. Those promos are so cringe, and his matches plain suck in singles.
And I don't see how he ranks higher than the other two. Because post Shield I don't think he has not caught up with his two bros. And? You just asked why Reigns compared to the other two ffs.
Don't think his father dying has to do with anything. Just really bad luck.I guess people were still emotionally connected to Bryan.

As for the matches, that is your opinion. I enjoy Reigns singles matches. I recall a match w/ Punk on Raw that was dank as shit, and that was his first big singles match. His FCW work is all good. The "reigns can't wrestle" myth is just that, a myth.
I think you make a concerted effort to not care about Roman, as did the Philly crowd and all the smarks who are against him. You are all mad that WWE is making it obvious who the hand picked golden boy is so you are resenting it.And I don't see how he ranks higher than the other two. Because post Shield I don't think he has not caught up with his two bros.
His resume as Punk brought up is impressive. But his character is still real bad. I need a reason ta care for him. He's a wrestler, he's supposed to make me either root for him or want to see him beaten. Not shrug my shoulders and go "meh".
As you said earlier I should probably hold off with my final judgement until after mania, and that is my plan. But right now I ain't feeling Brock vs Roman, because I don't care about Roman.
I'd rather watch guys I care about like Rollins, Bryan, Wyatt or Ziggler. Or guys I generally enjoy the work off like Cesaro or Harper, than a guy I just can't find a reason to care for.
I'm certain people want Reigns to fail, not because they hate him per say, but because they want WWE's golden boy to fall flat just so they can say "haha WWE, your golden boy fell flat! Can't tell us who to root for na na!'Legit question: Does anyone here really hate Roman Reigns?
Seems like all I see everywhere are people hating the WWE related aspects, but liking the performer.

As for the injury, more like bad timing. Pretty sure Kane injured him actually.
