If they think Reigns going over DB at Fast Lane is going to somehow paint him in a more favorable light heading in to face that mania crowd... I'm afraid I've got some bad news...

That's exactly what I'm thinking. He may go over DB, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

If Reigns goes over clean, then the crowd may shit on him even worse than they did at the Rumble.

They may as well have that match end in a DQ Fest or whatever, and then they have DB vs Brock vs Reigns at Mania. No idea what they're truly gonna do.

Every time I think triple threat I quickly retract the thought. As someone else pointed out, I think Punk, you've built this fucking unbeatable monster in Lesnar, the way to truly make a new star is to have him put someone over 1 on 1, not have a gimmicky triple threat match.

I genuinely think they are just going to squash the DB main event sentiment at Fast Lane. Reigns goes over cleanly, gets his big win, DB moves on to smaller and shittier things for Mania.

That's a good point. So yes, the main goal of creating a new star is to go over Lesnar in a 1-on-1 match.

But, Lesnar's been built as this unbeatable monster, as you mentioned, I even created a thread regarding this scenario, because I wouldn't be surprised if either Bryan/Reigns whoever ended up in the ME of Mania actually lost to Lesnar... And considering they teased Rollins/Heyman working together a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Heyman would screw Lesnar (b/c Lesnar is prolly leaving after Mania), so... Rollins would cash in and become the new champ.

But, if they decide to have a clean finish to Bryan/Reigns match at Fast Lane and then they have Reigns dethrone The Beast, then I see Rollins cashing in on the new champ, regardless.

IMO, Roman is currently the only superstar fit to go over Lesnar clean. I can't think of anyone else more cut to do it.
People will obviously say Daniel Bryan, but I don't see the point in doing it. He's already got 3 world title reigns under his belt, he doesn't need a win over Brock Lesnar to "legitimize" him.

I would have preferred to see Brock vs Bryan in a championship match at Fast Lane too, but oh well. Unless Bryan wins or they somehow turn it into a triple-threat, I'm just gonna have to accept that Bryan vs Brock is a dream match that coulda/shoulda/woulda happened, but didn't, much like Cena vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania with the Streak on the line never did.

I really see no upside to Reigns vs Bryan if they want to get as much of the audience as possible on Reigns' side.

I technically agree, but there's a case to be made for Bryan as well. It could have been his own personal "Hogan beating Andre at WM3" moment. I'm not saying it would have been anywhere near as memorable or historical (Hogan body-slamming Andre is the most replayed and relived moment in WWE history, after all), but it would have been the closest equivalent to that in modern-day WWE. I.E, Hogan had been the most over wrestling star in the world for the past three years and was already a made man, but he was still the one chosen to beat the giant. Likewise, Daniel Bryan (he's no Hulk Hogan, but he's still the most over man in wrestling today), while already an established main eventer, is still the man that the people would rally behind the most in a match against Lesnar. And it'd likely be the greatest (or one of the top 3) David vs Goliath type of matches in history.

Rollins already is baby face but no one knows it. RR ppv if a random tuned in, you'd be like, "Well, Rollins is baby face" From reactions, down to moveset in that match.
Well, if he didn't see the video package before the match, sure.
But these kind of reactions only happen in certain cities like Philly I guess, Chicago, New York, etc.
.... word but if u turn off audio, watch a rollins match, he looks uber babyface

Rollins will be a cool babyface. He's just too likeable.

He's been getting cheers lately, just like during his (heel) Shield days, everyone started to cheer for the bad guys b/c they're cool.

Cool would be one of the last words that comes to mind to describe Rolllins' character right now lol
