Alvarez is beast. Glad to see Joey Bats is heating up just wish the guys behind him would start being threats again so that he wouldn't get walked so much.

Well Edwin bats after him and I'd say he's about equal to Bats in terms of threat potential. Arencibia has maintained his threat status as well, but his plate discipline is a little lacking.

But Edwin hasn't been hitting this year at all...so people are pitching around Bautista....I know his OBP is ridiculous right now

For average no, but he's always a home run or multi-rbi threat. Keep in mind that I watch almost every game so I don't just base it on stats. He's definitely got some intangibles right now that you need to see first hand. He's on pace to be as good as or better than last year as well.

Meh, Braves had their eight game win streak snapped. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Definitely over the last few weeks he has, I haven't seen him swinging for the fences nearly as much as he did in the first month of the season.

Annoyed that the Phillies lost to the Nationals yesterday.

I can't see them winning at Fenway on Tuesday.

Gerrit Cole called up for the Pirates yesterday and goes 6 innings and getting the win. Drove in two of his own runs too. Looks good for the Buccos.

Yeah, 7 in a row...all while I was on vacation. Maybe I should have stayed in Cuba?

I haven't even checked since the Pirates here have a make shift pitching staff with everyone on the DL. AJ Burnett 15 Day, Wandy Rodriguez 15 Day DL, James McDonald DL no wonder these AAA guys are up and kicking ass that we wouldn't see til after the AS break.

So with all these guys coming off of the DL and getting hurt again how many of them need to hang it up?

Jeter plays what 3 innings and is back on the 15 day DL with a quad strain and he is like what 59

AROD cant get back up and will probably get suspended for at least 100 games here soon.

Matt Kemp comes back today and injures his ankle after hitting a HR at some point in the game.

oh I am sure that there are more out there.

Should these guys just put the cleats up for good or what?
