Last night's Dynamite was 256

Nitro 256

Nitro episode 256 took place from the Sky Reach Palace in Kelowna, BC and aired on August 14, 2000. It was the fallout show from New Blood Rising 2000. I should have refused to follow the script and just not made this post.
  • Billy Kidman/Big Vito beat Shane Douglas/Reno (w/ Torrie)
  • Lance Storm beat Mike Awesome to retain the WCW United States Heavyweight Title (they did another screwy finish with the Canadian winning. In Canada. How is this company not dead already)
  • Jeff Jarrett beat Booker T by DQ, failing to win the WCW World Heavyweight Title (Goldberg interfered)
  • Norman Smiley beat Carl Ouellet to win the WCW Hardcore Title
  • Rey Misterio Jr./Juventud Guerrera (w/ Filthy Animalz) beat Vampiro/The Great Muta (w/ Demon) to win the WCW World Tag Team Titles
  • Elix Skipper beat Kwee Wee (w/ Papaya) to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Title
  • Sting beat Vampiro, the Great Muta, and the KISS Demon
  • Kevin Nash vs. Scott Steiner never started (hoo boy. So Nash came out with a giant box, and it was filled with a Scott Hall cardboard cut-out. He challenged Booker T, who came out, but Steiner attacked Booker. Goldberg then came up on the screen and put Midajah through a table. The camera cut off before we saw the table bump, though)

RAW 256

RAW episode 256 took place from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY and aired on April 20, 1998. It was the go-home show for Unforgiven: In Your House.
  • Faarooq beat Kama Mustafa in a Long Island Street Fight (refs had to clear the rest of the Nation away from the ring, and also stop Shamrock and Blackman from attacking)
  • Dan Severn (w/ Cornette) beat Mosh (w/ Thrasher)
  • Bradshaw beat The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust (w/ Luna) by DQ (Kai En Tai interfered)
  • Terry Funk/2 Cold Scorpio beat the New Midnight Express (w/ Cornette and Severn)
  • Triple H/Billy Gunn/Road Dogg (w/ X-Pac and Chyna) beat Owen Hart/LoD (w/ Sunny)
  • Dude Love beat Steve Blackman (after Vince screwjobbed him into a win)

SmackDown 256

SmackDown episode 256 took place from the Winnipeg Arena in Winnipeg, MB and aired on July 8, 2004.
  • Rob Van Dam beat Mark Jindrak
  • Billy Kidman/Paul London beat the Dudley Boyz to win the WWE Tag Team Titles
  • John Cena vs. Booker T for the WWE United States Title never started (Kenzo Suzuki and Luther Reigns both attacked Cena)
  • El Gran Luchadore beat JBL by count-out (Gran Luchadore this week was Shannon Moore. He switched out for a second Gran Luchadore played by Eddie Guerrero who made JBL look stupid)
  • Rey Mysterio/Spike Dudley/Scotty 2 Hotty beat Chavo Guerrero/Jamie Noble/Akio (an actual fun cruiserweight division match! Also almost a Jung Dragons reunion, just a shame they couldn't get Kaz Hayashi in)
  • John Cena beat Booker T by DQ to retain the WWE United States Title (Kurt Angle and Luther Reigns both interfered, then Angle stripped Cena of the US Title for knocking Angle over)

NXT 256

NXT episode 256 took place from Full Sail University and aired on February 18, 2015. It was the fallout show from NXT TakeOver: Rival.
  • Rhyno beat Elias Samson
  • Enzo Amore/Colin Cassady (w/ Carmella) beat the Vaudevillains
  • Sasha Banks beat Blue Pants
  • Kevin Owens beat Adrian Neville

Impact 256

Impact episode 256 took place from the Impact Zone and aired on May 21, 2009. It was the go-home show for Sacrifice 2009.
  • Christopher Daniels/Suicide beat the Motor City Machine Guns and Lethal Consequences
  • Sting beat Eric Young
  • Kurt Angle beat Matt Morgan
  • Jeff Jarrett beat Samoa Joe by DQ (Joe bumped a ref)
  • Mick Foley beat a cardboard cut-out of Rocky Balboa (yes, this happened. Jarrett's pissed at Foley for making a mockery of TNA, and Angle's pissed at Jarrett for the usual reasons. Sting was playing peacemaker)

Nitro episode 257 took place from the Kansas Coliseum in Wichita, KS and aired on August 21, 2000. This is also the one where Scott Steiner was involved in a WORKED SHOOT where he threatened to RAPE GOLDBERG'S GIRLFRIEND. I'm not saying Russo has issues with women...

RAW 257

RAW episode 257 took place from the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA and aired on April 27, 1998. It was the fallout show from Unforgiven: In Your House. This was also the one where DX got a "tank" and "invaded" WCW. Which I'm told by the WWE Network, was the reason WCW went out of business! Not... whatever that episode above is.
  • Ken Shamrock/Owen Hart vs. The Rock/Mark Henry (w/ D'Lo and Kama) ended in a no contest (Owen turned out to be working with the Nation)
  • The Headbangers vs. Terry Funk/2 Cold Scorpio ended in a double DQ

  • The Undertaker beat Barry Windham (w/ Cornette)
  • Steve Austin vs. The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust (w/ Luna) ended in a no contest (special ref Gerald Brisco wouldn't make the count, then Dude Love attacked Austin. Out of six matches, four had no finish and one was a squash. And the other featured the Harris boys winning)

SmackDown 257

SmackDown episode 257 took place from the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, RI and aired on July 15, 2004.

Tonight's AEW Dynamite is number 258. We're in the home stretch of this thread. Only... 29 Nitros to go.

Nitro 258

Nitro episode 258 took place from the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, NM and aired on August 28, 2000.
  • Vampiro/ICP (w/ Muta) beat 3 Count (Muta went on commentary and was dubbed over with racial stereotypes because Vince Russo. Also post-match Tank Abbott came in and was attacked by everyone until the Demon and Sting made the save)
  • Tygress vs. Major Gunns vs. Paisley ended in a no contest (so, uh... Tygress got the win after Paisley kicked Gunns in the back and pinned her for a clear three in 20 seconds. The ref said it was only two though, so Paisley and Tygress double-teamed Gunns some more and just... left? Vince Russo)
  • KroniK vs. the Harris Brothers in a House of Pain match ended in a no contest (they broke through the cage and one of the Harris' beat up a fan for no reason. This happened in sub-3 minutes. Vince Russo)
  • Lance Storm (w/ Skipper) beat Sgt. AWOL (w/ MIA) in a Prisoner of War Tables match (this match lasted about a minute and post-match Storm stole Major Gunns. Vince Russo)
  • Rick Steiner beat Mike Awesome in a Bunkhouse Brawl (Jeff Jarrett interfered to hand Rick the win in two minutes. This was also the debut of the That 70's Guy gimmick. Vince Russo)
  • Kevin Nash (w/ Russo) beat Booker T to win the WCW World Heavyweight Title (Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner were the special refs. This is basically just the We Hate Goldberg group and they're going to screw everyone. Also, World Title in the midcard again. World Title CHANGE in the midcard. Vince Russo)
  • Jeff Jarrett beat Big Vito (a CLEAN WIN in a non-gimmick match? WHAAAAAAAA?? That isn't Vince Russo at all! Oh wait, it's pushing Jeff Jarrett, so... Vince Russo)
  • The Natural Born Thrillers beat the Filthy Animalz in an Elimination match (eight men got counted out at once then Mike Sanders pinned Tygress. Vince Russo. I'm not saying Russo has issues with women...)
  • Sting vs. The Great Muta never started (they were just brawling in the aisles until Vampiro and the clowns attacked Sting)
The final shot of this show was Bret Hart handing Goldberg a shovel and promising to help him... then hitting him with it because Goldberg killed his career. In-character for Bret, at least.

RAW 258

RAW episode 258 took place from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA and aired on May 4, 1998.
  • The Rock/Owen Hart (w/ the Nation) beat Faarooq/Steve Blackman
  • Dan Severn beat Savio Vega
  • Jeff Jarrett (w/ Tennessee Lee) vs. Marc Mero never started (Steve Blackman attacked Jarrett)
  • D-Generation X beat LoD 2000/Harris Boys (w/ Sunny) by count-out (the two non-DX teams clashed and brawled to the outside)
  • Kane (w/ Bearer) vs. The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust ended in a no contest (the Undertaker attacked Kane)
  • Mick Foley beat Terry Funk in a Falls Count Anywhere match (Foley would get a title shot if he tried hard against Funk. He sure did. Then he accidentally put Pat Patterson in the Mandible Claw too)

SmackDown 258

SmackDown episode 258 took place from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA and aired on July 22, 2004.
  • Spike Dudley beat Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble in a WWE Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender's match
  • Bubba Ray Dudley (w/ D-Von) beat Billy Kidman (w/ Paul London)
  • JBL beat Michael Mayo in a Rocky Challenge (that's future WWE developmental guy Mike Kruel, for the record. Also a "Rocky Challenge" is if the plant in the crowd wins they get a SummerSlam title shot. Post-match Undertaker attacked JBL)
  • Torrie Wilson vs. Sable vs. Jacqueline vs. Dawn Marie in a Lingerie match never started (Kurt Angle made this match earlier in the show, and after they'd all stripped, decided no one wanted to see them wrestle, and fired them all on the spot)
  • Rey Mysterio beat D-Von Dudley (w/ Bubba Ray)
  • John Cena beat Luther Reigns (Booker T tried to interfere against Cena but missed)

NXT 258

NXT episode 258 took place from Full Sail University and aired on March 4, 2015.
  • Tyler Breeze beat Adam Rose
  • Wesley Blake/Buddy Murphy beat Angelo Dawkins/Sawyer Fulton
  • Baron Corbin beat Tony Briggs

  • Sasha Banks beat Charlotte to retain the NXT Women's Title

Impact 258

  • Daffney beat Taylor Wilde (Stevie Richards distracted Taylor)
  • Matt Morgan beat Jesse Neal (w/ Rhino)

I'm starting to hate Russo as much as Cornette does
About time. Russo is a shit booker that thought wrestling should be like Jerry Springer. He's an absolute div , Russo says bro more than I've ever heard one guy say ever. He's an absolute idiot and he's done WCW and TNA into the ground . Luckily TNA is back with bang it's doing so well.

Oh my god that was also the fucking episode where David Flair and Stacey Keibler was also supposed to get married.
