Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite is number 248.

Nitro 248

Nitro episode 248 took place from the Metro Park Arena in Billings, MT and aired on June 19, 2000.
  • 3 Count beat the Jung Dragons
  • Big Vito beat Johnny the Bull to retain the WCW Hardcore Title
  • Goldberg beat Horace Hogan (yeah, they're still trying to do heel Goldberg and it's not working)
  • Kevin Nash beat Ernest "the Cat" Miller for Scott Hall's contract
  • Lt. Loco (w/ MIA) beat Rey Misterio Jr. (w/ Filthy Animalz) and The Artist (w/ Paisley) to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Title
  • The Perfect Event beat Rick Steiner/Tank Abbott to retain the WCW World Tag Team Titles
  • Buff Bagwell/KroniK beat the Triple Threat (yeah, it's this 2-second run where Douglas, Bigelow, and Candido are reunited and on the same side)
  • Jeff Jarrett beat Scott Steiner to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Title (Mike Awesome was ref. Awesome tried to attack Steiner so he got put in the Steiner Recliner. This allowed Jarrett to get a guitar shot in. Somehow this show made more sense than the rest of 2000 put together)

RAW 248

RAW episode 248 took place from the Heart of Texas Coliseum in Waco, TX and aired on February 23, 1998.
  • The New Age Outlaws beat the Legion of Doom to retain the WWF World Tag Team Titles
  • Ken Shamrock beat Jeff Jarrett (w/ Cornette)
  • The Truth Commission (w/ Jackyl) beat Disciples of Apocalypse (this is the last RAW appearance of the Truth Commission. They get a cameo in the Mania 14 battle royal but that's it)
  • Barry Windham (w/ NWA) vs. TAKA Michinoku ended in a no contest (Kane showed up, wrecked TAKA, and Paul Bearer called out Steve Austin)
  • Bradshaw beat TAFKA Goldust (Goldust was doing a Dusty Rhodes impersonation)
  • Steve Blackman beat the Rock (w/ the Nation) (D'Lo tossed Blackman his nunchucks by mistake, failing to give them to Rock)
  • The Headbangers beat the Rock n' Roll Express (w/ Cornette) to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles
  • Owen Hart beat Marc Mero (w/ Sable) by DQ to retain the WWF European Title (Mero pushed the ref, then Luna and Goldust showed up for a big old fight)

SmackDown 248

SmackDown episode 248 took place from the Lawlor Convention Center in Reno, NV and aired on May 13, 2004. It was the go-home show for Judgment Day 2004.
  • D-Von Dudley (w/ Bubba Ray) beat Rob Van Dam
  • Chavo Classic (w/ Chavo Jr.) beat Jacqueline
  • Booker T beat the FBI
  • Hardcore Holly (w/ Billy Gunn) beat Rico (w/ Haas and Jackie)
  • John Cena beat Sakoda (w/ Akio)
  • John Bradshaw Layfield beat Rey Mysterio

NXT 248

  • Becky Lynch beat Bayley
  • Bull Dempsey beat Jesus De Leon (aka Mecha Wolf 450)
  • Baron Corbin beat Rob Ryzin (yes, that AEW Dark regular)
  • The Ascension beat Enzo Amore/Colin Cassady (w/ Carmella)
  • Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville ended in a double count-out

Impact 248

Impact episode 248 took place from the Impact Zone and aired on March 26, 2009.
  • Suicide beat Kiyoshi (w/ NO LIMIT) to retain the TNA X Division Title
  • The Beautiful People (w/ Madison) beat Awesome Kong/Raisha Saeed
  • Samoa Joe won a 20-Man Steel Cage Gauntlet match, last eliminating Kurt Angle (this match was to decide the captains for this year's Lethal Lockdown)

That actually looks like a relatively better Nitro lmao but oh God I just remembered the Scott Hall contract story when he never even shows up again

Last night's Dynamite was number 249 and honestly, doing the recaps of the WCW part of this has been sucking the soul out of my body. So much stupid stuff to make sense of.

Nitro 249

Nitro episode 249 took place from the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, IA and aired on June 26, 2000.
  • Mark Jindrak/Sean O'Haire beat Rey Misterio Jr./Juventud Guerrera (w/ the Filthy Animalz)
  • Big Vito vs. Jamie Noble for the WCW Hardcore Title never started (Vito set up an open challenge, Jamie answered, but then it became a 3-on-1 Jung Dragons beatdown. No bell rang)
  • The Perfect Event beat Shane Helms/Shannon Moore (w/ Evan) to retain the WCW World Tag Team Titles
  • Goldberg beat Jim Duggan
  • Kevin Nash beat Mike Awesome
  • Scott Steiner (w/ Midajah) beat Buff Bagwell
  • Lance Storm beat Disco Inferno
  • Jeff Jarrett beat Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner (w/ Midajah) to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Title

RAW 249

RAW episode 249 took place from the Gund Arena in Cleveland, OH and aired on March 2, 1998.
  • Disciples of Apocalypse beat the New Age Outlaws by count-out, failing to win the WWF World Tag Team Titles (Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie chased the Outlaws off)
  • Marc Mero (w/ Sable) beat Tom Brandi (Luna came out, tripped Brandi, and kissed Mero so Goldust could attack. Then Sable came back and Mero didn't want her help)
  • Mark Henry beat Owen Hart by DQ, failing to win the WWF European Title (Chyna interfered)
  • TAKA Michinoku/Headbangers beat Barry Windham/R&R Express (w/ Cornette)
  • Steve Blackman beat Kama Mustafa by DQ (big Nation run-in)
  • Jeff Jarrett (w/ Tennessee Lee) beat Flash Funk (oh btw, Jarrett is back to country singer mode and has disavowed the NWA. Which, as you may have guessed from a previous result, is now an even bigger joke)
  • Steve Austin vs. Kane (w/ Paul Bearer) never started (Austin was attacked by DX, Kane forced the timekeeper to ring a 10-bell salute for Taker, then Taker came back and cut a spooky promo on Kane)

SmackDown 249

SmackDown episode 249 took place from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV and aired on May 20, 2004. It was the fallout show from Judgment Day 2004.
  • Charlie Haas/Rico (w/ Jackie) beat the FBI to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles
  • Billy Kidman vs. Akio ended in a no contest (Mordecai attacked everyone)
  • Rene Dupree beat John Cena by count-out, failing to win the WWE United States Title
  • Chavo Classic beat Chavo Guerrero and Spike Dudley to win the WWE Cruiserweight Title
  • Booker T beat Funaki
  • JBL/Dudley Boyz beat Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio/Rob Van Dam

NXT 249

NXT episode 249 took place from Full Sail University and aired on December 25, 2014. It was mostly a recap show, with only one match:
  • Charlotte (w/ Ric Flair) beat Sasha Banks (w/ Becky) to retain the NXT Women's Title

Impact 249

Impact episode 249 took place from the Impact Zone and aired on April 2, 2009.
  • Sheik Abdul Bashir/Kiyoshi/NO LIMIT beat LAX/Lethal Consequences
  • Team 3D beat Main Event Mafia Security (for the sake of my own sanity, I think I'll digress a bit. I've grown a weird soft spot for the Phi Delta Slam boys, who are playing MEM heavies here. It's probably because of TEW, where I was able to make them into solid midcarders, with a gimmick of my own creation (basically they're fat dirty racist cops). It can't be because they ever hard good matches, because they never did. Funny how these things happen. I'm trying a similar thing with a mini of Vampiro in the same save, making him basically a heel version of Spike Dudley. He's going to be jobbing initially but you never know, some spots open up in the card, he could get an actual push. I'm looking forward to TEW IX, though I feel there is a huge missed opportunity on the cards as they haven't announced the ability to play in the rest of the world yet. I'll be sad if that just never happens. The future of TEW will probably let me find new random dudes who never made it in real life, but whom I'll just push. I'm excited for that. Where was I? Oh yeah, Beer Money were there and acted sus but were respectful all match)
  • Taylor Wilde beat Madison Rayne (w/ TBP) (post-match TBP tried to cut Wilde's hair)
  • Scott Steiner beat AJ Styles (Jeff Jarrett stopped AJ from using a chair, Angle came out to fight Jarrett, the distraction gave the MEM guy the win)
  • Sting beat Samoa Joe by DQ (rage DQ finish, Booker T came out for the save but failed, then Joe stole Sharmell)
