I like it better as a December PPV name than a January PPV anyway.

Dynamite episode 99 took place from the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, WI and aired on August 25, 2021.

• The Lucha Bros beat the Varsity Blonds in the first round of an AEW World Tag Team Title eliminator tournament

This was the last Nitro before the WCW reboot, and Russo and Bischoff put everyone on break until next week while they work out how to reset the company. That's what it was called. And all the titles are vacated... so you know what that means! Another tournament! A six-man tournament! Oh, by the way, this was the GO-HOME NITRO for Spring Stampede 2000. Resetting the show the week before the PPV. Genius stuff. Wonder why Nitro's not on TV anymore?

• Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Kimberly) beat Lex Luger (w/ Elizabeth) in the first round of a WCW World Heavyweight Title tournament (Buff Bagwell distracted Luger)
• Sting beat Sid Vicious by count-out in the first round of a WCW World Heavyweight Title tournament (The Wall attacked Sid and put him through a table)
• Jeff Jarrett beat Curt Hennig in the semi-final of a WCW World Heavyweight Title tournament (the debuting Shawn Stasiak, as "PerfectShawn", attacked Hennig)
