Actually the Southern Bros would clash nicely with a tag team I had created, but meh...Pesinger's flying solo for now.

Also, if it's possible, I'd like to bring in a third character, and maybe down the line tag up one of the current ones with another (so I'd have two singles and a tag or three singles). Is this possible?

(Andy, you know who I want to bring in ;) )

Again, we had a way to do it in the PWA that sort of worked. Ask us if you want to know how we did it.

You don't want to bring in too many of your own guys. It gets the roster cluttered. It'd be better if you stay with just two guys on the roster.

I have this one face though that I would like to bring in. But if not it's OK too :)

Did you fix the spambot issue?

Changes?

So, we've got the divisions down in that other topic; what now?

Rating system methinks. They/we need one.

Also I would prefer the RPs to be separate topics like we used to do on PWA, but maybe Slim prefers it that way.

I'm down for the new rating system and the seperate roleplay topics.

Ratings system... bleh. Bleh bleh bleh.

The points system is flawed because going by points means the system can be cheated.

I say keep what you are looking for as far as creativity, descriptiveness, grammar/spelling, including the opponent, relevance, realism, story telling... keep all of that but remove the points and no word counting to determine because that can easily be quantity as it can lead to a long boring promo that takes 2 days to read. I've had that problem before and it sucks.

But those things are actually things you are to look for and grade for a promo so ... no points. If they have a question as to why they lost their match they can send a pm but other than that yeah... rating system... bleh.

I haven't seen the spambot issue yet... but we do need more face characters so bring that one in.

Not having points can be more of a danger, it least when it comes to flaming. Points display what the person got as opposed to their opponent. Without them, it could easily be assumed that they lost because the grader favored them over their opponent. It's a big pain in the ass and one of the only reason we really use them.

I haven't ever seen a problem arise without points. Points just seem like more of a hassle to me than anything. But if they really have a problem they can get with the staff and find out why. Points could also lead to a lot of problems too... probably more so than not listing them because then when you give a specific grade for one thing if you waver off of that even by one point in another match later down the road then there will be grounds for what they could consider favoritism being shown even if it wasn't blatant because they didn't receive the points the other person did when they could have even improved on what the person did.

Flaming is going to happen regardless with some people and with those it can be nipped real quick. Not really a factor.

But points... just seem like more of a danger.

I don't know, still. We used points for the last 8 years on both sites I've been on (SDGL, and its continuation, ITR) and we only had a problem 2 or 3 times.
