A very deserving Mick Foley is expected to be announced as the first member of
the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on 4/6 in Madison Square Garden,
which makes the induction doubly great since Foley has written in great detail
about being inspired to become a wrestler based on seeing Jimmy Snuka come off
the top of the steel cage on Don Muraco during an event he hitchhiked to.

Obviously, Foley got to surpass that moment when he came off (and then went
through) the WWE Hell in A Cell structure in June 1998.
The official announcement is expected for this Monday's 20th Anniversary of
Raw. The HOF tickets officially go on sale this Saturday.

Excellent choice by WWE. He is a legend and definitely deserves to be the head inductee. Smart choice as well since WM is in his hometown this year. Terry Funk has to be the guy that inducts him.

Funk would probably be Foleys first choice. Rock and Taker would also make sense.

oh wow. The first inductee is usually reserved for someone HUGe, so if it's Foley, then this year's class isn't going to be groundbreaking.

Mick wasn't already in it? Well, good news, he deserves it. Funk inducting him would probably be a big deal to Foley, too.

Personally I wish it wouldn't have been leaked but oh well. Looking forward to seeing the announcement video they put together, those are always top notch in my opinion. I've seen people suggest that Mick Foley induct himself as one of his alter egos which raises the question is Foley's induction going to be a four-in-one? He doesn't necessarily have to appear as all of them but it'd be cool if they were all inducted with him.

It would have been better if the announcement was saved until RAW but we will still get a good video package from WWE on RAW to promote his induction. I assume that all his characters will go in, don't think there is a need to differentiate between them for the HOF.

I still think that Funk will be best because he has worked with Foley all over the world and in all the promotions that Foley has been in. Rock did have that great feud with Foley and they had some classic moments as a team but I just don't think he should be the guy to induct him. I get that he will be wrestling the next night and he would be a big draw for the show, just think that Funk has more history with Foley. Taker won't induct anyone until he retires, it would mean he would have to break character on a WWE show and I can't see him doing it.

It's 100% confirmed, WWE.com has it on there.

Worthy induction and it was just a matter of time before he was entered into the HOF and there was no better time than the present with the HOF being at MSG.

Definitely makes sense for this year. Worthy headliner in my opinion but interested to see the rest of the class.
