  • Yeah, I'm not gonna read anything. I think I'll be amazed, the only thing I'm worried about is that it gets God of War II/AC Revelation syndrome and falls off from where the previous games were, which could easily happen because Mass Effect 2 is the greatest game of ALL TIME. This has big, big shoes to fill. I don't doubt that they can top it, I'm just a little concerned. Some 3'rd games are also the best though, I hope that's the case.

Yes, I knew about Nassana in ME 1. In fact, if you do her mission, when you import your game in 2, it'll get a mention. It's little things like that, and Gianna Parasini from Noveria Internal Affairs and Conrad Verner, the crazed Shepard fan showing up on Illium that make me prefer the game on 360, because those options don't exist on the PS3 version. Only ME 1 players can experience it. I'm wondering how big the change is gonna be in this game for people who haven't played ME 1. I'd like to think big, but I'm thinking small, realistically.
Alright, well I may, or may not try it. I don't know, we'll see.

Anything else? NINE MORE DAYS!!! That's all I got right now, lol.
Let's be clear, I didn't get the outcome I WANTED, I got the outcome I was FORCED into. If there was anybody on this squad I could save, just one, it would be Mordin without a second thought, as long as he was the Mordin from ME 2, and not a cheap copy of him.

I'll look into it. Are you sure that no malfunctions can result from doing this? I mean, obviously they're different models, they were built with a different capacity. I don't know for sure if this system can handle a slim harddrive or if something will go wrong. I don't mean it'll completely stop working but I don't want any issues.
Just finished the suicide mission of my Renegade playthrough, got exactly what I wanted. Mordin and Jack are dead, everyone else survived. Sent Mordin through the vents, his death actually wasn't too bad. Didn't get burnt up, he just caught a bullet in the head when he was trying to close the last door.

As for Jack, took my chance on the random barrier death. I had Jacob do the barrier. Miranda and Thane can fail the barrier as well, but I went with Jacob because I wasn't sure if the barrier falling would also kill them. I wouldn't mind if Jacob died even though I wasn't trying to get him killed. I took Jack and Grunt on my team, but I did what I could to ensure that Jack was the one that got killed. Didn't do her loyalty mission, and I upgraded Grunt to Krogan Warlord status, and Heavy Fortification. Jack had a much worse death than Mordin, she was devoured by Collector bugs. Kinda like those swarm beetles in Uncharted 3 that you have to avoid by scaring them with torches.
I'm not very tech savvy, I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to do it and even if I did, I'd probably fuck it up anyway.
I'm not gonna bother playing the majority of the stuff again to get it back, since I hardly use them as it is. Plus this PS3 doesn't have much memory, which is a problem and why I need my slim back. I had to delete my entire picture folder just to have enough memory to download the ME 3 demo for PS3. Pissed me off. I have a back up, so I can easily add it back, but it's an annoyance I shouldn't have to deal with.
Well, I don't want to, but I have no choice, really. I had to change my PS3 back to my old one. My slim isn't "broken", so to speak, but it's not playing my Blu Ray movies and it takes some work to get most games playing, and I don't have enough to get it repaired or get a new one right now, so I'm on my fat PS3 that has backwards compatibility, old machine, and has no ME 2 data, and no data from the majority of the games I played. No GOW, no Red Dead, etc. As hard as it is to say, even ME 2 gets tedious when you've done it 1000 times. I do still enjoy the game a fuckload, but I've still done it all so many times. I didn't even really want to do the Renegade playthrough on my 360 but I felt like I had no choice since I've never committed to Renegade and I want a Renegade for ME 3 as well as a Paragon.
It's tough but I need time to do another ME 2 playthrough on PS3 regardless, so it's bearable.
Ah, damn. Well, maybe if I take Grunt and Jacob with me, I can let the computer decide who to kill, haha.

Actually, it's not true that anybody who isn't loyal dies right off the bat. I know for the fact because I've gotten everybody through without loyalty, but I didn't use the person for any of the fire teams, vents, escort, whatever. I just took my chances and it worked. It must've been Jack because there's no reason why I wouldn't have anyone elses loyalty and I know I've lost her's a few times and couldn't get enough points to get it back.
I don't want to kill them off "in the worst possible way", I just want to kill them, so that they don't return in Mass Effect 3. Of course I'm going to do a No One Left Behind playthrough of ME 3 first, but after that, I probably don't want Jack or Mordin around. For completely different reasons. I can't believe I want to kill Mordin off but I just can't handle a re-cast. Jack, just, well...sucks.

But yeah, I know you can lose Jack or Miranda's loyalty, or save both if you have enough points. Or I could just not do Jack's loyalty mission, and get the same outcome, right? Have you personally tested this and found that she'll be the only one dead?
I sent Tali back as the escort once, and I still got everybody out alive, though, so I don't know what problem you're having with Mordin. I might have taken him with me but I don't think I did.
Yeah, Kasumi can do the vents too.

Well, I'm glad you clarified that for me. Thank God, he's the only one I need to get rid of. I was wondering if there was a way to only get one person killed, that settles it. I don't want to kill Mordin off but I almost feel like I have no choice, it feels like I'm honoring him more by killing him than to let a second rate one run through Mass Effect 3. I have playthroughs where he's alive anyway, so I'll run in to him at some point either way, but I'm not looking forward to those.

Might send Jack through the vents another time too, wouldn't mind getting rid of her. Too bad I can only guarantee one death at a time. If I could choose, it wouldn't be a problem but I don't want to fuck up a choice on Jack and end up killing Garrus, you know? That's one thing I love about ME, though, if you don't like a squadmate, you can just kill them, lol.
Well, he's loyal right now, but I turned off the game right after I saved that mission, so I can just delete that save and start from right before that point. I tried fucking up his loyalty mission and I failed. I know you can fail some of them, but whatever, maybe not his. The main thing that got me to do it was I didn't know what happens to the cure if you don't run the mission. I was thinking of doing somethng Blue to get rid of him like sending him through the vents instead of Tali or Legion, but I don't know if that would kill anybody else. As for you taking him with you, why don't you just make him the escort? I did that and got everybody through.
