  • The fact that God of War was released after ME II didn't affect me, though, so was Red Dead and that game was fucking awesome. I can just take the game for what it's supposed to be, I just thought God of War III in general was slightly lacking in direction. It was great until towards the end and then it kinda started to fall apart. God of War's team is kinda fucked up, though, every game, they had a new game director because the previous one quit, the first 2 were much better.
Well, Tali is the principle Quarian of the series and the only one you've had any extended contact with, she's been on your team twice, presumably 3 times, I'd say it's safe to bet, and you can bang her if you choose to take that story arc, so she's the only one who it would make sense to unmask. I suppose they could do a prequel where the Quarians were unmasked but it wouldn't have the same emotional response. I don't think they'll unmask her "just for the hell of it", whatever they do is going to have a big impact and make sense.

I don't think GOW was getting stale, but I'm a little crazier for GOW than you are, I think. I didn't mind the wait, but I agree that I was anxious to play it because of the cliffhanger. In the end, I was a little disappointed with it because the ending was really lackluster, and I was pissed that they replaced Athena's voice actor. The previous one was perfect, the second one was horrible. I hate re-casts. Not happy they did that to Mordin at all.
lol, not a good idea. Not even for ME, you got to be on time for work. I hope you gave them a valid excuse. The game does look sick. It might be the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game. That used to be God of War 3, but I'm not sure anymore. I might have to look at them side by side for a comparison. If you're anything like me, you stopped doing anything and just took a few minutes to just stare at the closest oncoming Reaper. I was awestruck just looking up at those things, it was an epic visual.

I guess you're a more tactical player than me then. I just usually pick the ones I like the most. Most of the time, I team with Garrus and Mordin, and if Legion's unlocked, I use him too. I do use others but not that often. I'll try the Collector base with Miranda and Thane because I hate that level and just want to get out of there as fast as possible.
Well, as long as you have it on PC and can import your choices from 1 AND 2 to 3. If it wasn't for that, I'd have definately got it on PS3, not the 360. I only own a 360 for Mass Effect and Gears of War, don't touch it otherwise, and I won't buy the next Microsoft system.

I know Kratos isn't done yet, but I don't know where you go with him. For ME, how could another trilogy be possible? Where do you go after the Reapers? It's almost like a dead end, like Kratos killing Zeus. You've conquered the most difficult force in the universe, what's next? How could anything be? I suppose there could be a prequel, but obviously Tali isn't going to unmask in a "prequel". But I agree that ME has so many hardcore fans that they could use a few prequel ideas. Maybe a game focused on the Krogan rebellions or something. I don't think it'll ever happen, but hey.
Good to see another Wrex loyalist. Although you've seen Reave, so you do know what a playthrough where Wrex dies is like. I'd like to say I don't even want to know what it's like, but the truth is, I try to see every scenario I can. Some of them I'm still discovering. I didn't know until yesterday that you can actually shoot Grunt (not kill him) after he tackles you. Had no idea. I want to explore 100% of the game, find every little twist and turn, but I'm not willing to do 1 playthrough for every single instance. I've already done way too many, to the point where I'm reciting the dialogue WITH the characters as they're talking.

I know Grunt is a useful ally in combat and whatnot, but I still want Wrex. I care about the story, first and foremost. What Grunt can do in battle isn't much concern to me, especially when I tend to just deal with the enemies myself. I usually just pick my favourite characters to come along with me for dialogue purposes.
Good, good. Hope you like it. I'm a total junkie for Game of Thrones (or as the actual series is called, A Song Of Ice And Fire. GOT is just the tv name, taken from the first book), never been into a drama as seriously as this, ever.
I don't know what's gonna happen with the Cerberus story, but I'm interested. Something is going down, the Illusive Man is obviously a villain of some sort, maybe he's indoctrinated, maybe that's what's wrong with his eyes, but I have a feeling he's working with the Reapers somehow, or he might even BE a Reaper. I don't know why, but I'm just expecting some insane, logic defying twist, like he ends up being a re-incarnation of Sovereign. I don't think it will happen, but I expect something fucking weird.

Well, I guess that makes sense. Obviously the reason the Reapers are putting humans ahead of everyone else on the priority list is because every game does it, they want you to be able to "relate" to the problem. As for a storyline reason, I guess it's because of Shepard. Like the Illusive Man said, the Collectors only started targeting human colonies AFTER Sovereign was destroyed.

Keep going for a while? Huh? ME 3 is the last game, unfortunate as it is.
    LOL, hilarious trailer.

I don't know about the PS store, I got it on 360. What happened to yours? I prefer everything on PS3, but I can't justify getting it on PS3 right now. It'll have to wait. I need the 360 version so that my choices from 1 matter as well, not just the major ones too that you get with the interactive comic. I still haven't decided if I'm gonna go through with playing through the whole thing, I just wanted a peak at it. Maybe I'll give in, I don't know.

Yeah, Maelon's research will have big effects. I have a few playthroughs where I did both outcomes, but I forget which decisions are in which playthrough. The only decision I think I've stuck to across the board is that Wrex lives. I have no Urdnot Wreav in my playthroughs, I saw him on Tuchanka and he was boring. I might try one Wrexless ME 3 playthrough JUST to see what it's like.
We'll watch Game of Thrones together! :mark:

    Here are my favorite characters:

Game Of Thrones: Character Feature - Tyrion Lannister (HBO) - YouTube

Game Of Thrones: Character Feature - Arya Stark (HBO) - YouTube

    No spoilers! :D
My curiousity got the best of me and I DL'ed the ME 3 demo, but I made a point to not let myself see too much. I committed that I would just take a small peak at it and that's it. I had to see what it looks like on my screen, my GOD. The graphics in this game are seriously legit. It looks way better than 2 did visually. I'm not gonna spoil story details for myself, though.

Check the tv thread btw, I sent you some background videos on Game of Thrones. They'll help you.
The Geth/Quarian situation is definately interesting, and I imagine they will go to war. They'll have to get their home world back. Also, if Tali doesn't unmask, I'll be pissed. It's been built up for 2 games. I've seen a lot of debates about it, people say they have to do it, people say they shouldn't do it because no matter what they do, it can't live up to most people's expectations, you're pissing people off either way, etc. I feel like they really have to do it.

What I'm looking most forward to is what's going to happen to the Krogan. The Krogan are my favourite race and I'm dying to see the Genophage cured and see Wrex lead a giant Krogan horde for Shepard against the Reapers. Curing the Genophage is another thing I think they just have to do, it's also been built too much. I'm surprised you didn't mention Cerberus, I'm looking forward to seeing their story unfold as well.
It'd be interesting, that's for sure.

I'd think they all have to be huge, even if they're not as big as Sovereign. After all, they are Reapers, they're supposed to be the most deadly things in the universe. I'd like to see NYC get destroyed too, I just can't help but find it out of place though that you're going to Earth. I mean, we've never been there in the whole series, why is Earth even occupied by humans at this point? We've had space travel as an option for God knows how long and they occupy dozens of other planets. Maybe I missed or forgot something but I don't think they ever explained that.
That wouldn't surprise me, I guess. I know some games have bosses that you can't beat in the way you'd normally beat an enemy and you have to do something different. Maybe you have to find a way to trap them in Dark Space again and they fall through a black hole or...something. I don't know. Going inside them would be amazing. Hopefully we beat them in an absolutely epic fashion that nothing else in the series matches up to.
Yeah, we need the Cain back. Hell, if for no other reason, I just have to know how much damage it'll do to a Reaper (and I mean an actual Reaper, not the Human Reaper). Obviously it wouldn't kill him with one shot, but I want to know if it would take out a good chunk of their life, or if it would only be minimal. If the Cain barely did a damn thing to them, that would really put them over as the ultimate lifeforms of this universe, even beyond what they already are. It would suck, but I can see it happening. I just gotta know, though.

I have used the M-96 Mattock assault rifle, it's a great gun, feels great. I prefer the Collector Assault Rifle, though. Can barely stand to use anything else, it's as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Everybody knows that vorcha.....the son of a bitch. I've sent my squad after him too and he kills them with the flame thrower. I tried various scenarios of dealing with him and he's programmed too well, I had no choice but to whip out the M-920 Cain. That took care of the bastard, I'll tell you that much. The only problem is, he's around the corner so I couldn't see him die. :(

I'm a little surprised it won't kill the Maw with one shot, but it is HUGE, so I kind of understand it, even though the Cain is a nuke. I can definately believe it'll be easier for it to take down a plane than that thing. Nice Jackie Brown reference btw, great movie. Got it on Blu Ray last year.
