Exclusive: Why Lex Luger Isn't Being Inducted Into WWE HOF
After speaking with sources, WZ has learned several details as to why Lex Luger isn't being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year along with The Four Horsemen.

Luger not being included stems from some negativity that surrounds his legacy, due to his close relationship with Miss Elizabeth at the time of her death. In 2003, Elizabeth Hulette passed away as a result of a drug and alcohol overdose at the age of 42. Luger had been living with her at the time of her death and was linked to involvement in heavy drug use with her, as well as several documented incidents with the law leading up to her death.

We have learned that Luger's name was brought up in a conversation when WWE was deciding on inducting The Four Horsemen, but his name was later scrapped as there are many people in the business that view Luger as an enabler to Elizabeth prior to her passing.

This contradicts what many people assume is the reason for Luger's lack of acknowldegment from WWE. It is often believed that him leaving WWE and appearing on the first episode of WCW Nitro in 1995 ruined the relationship between the two sides. While this may still hold some weight, we can confirm that Luger's link to the tragic death of Miss Elizabeth was the reason he was left out of this year's Hall of Fame.

What's everyones thoughts? I'm not a WWE fan who knows a lot of the old stuff but yeah. If that's the case, he shouldn't be inducted and WWE would get negative attention they don't need or want.

Well if Luger got inducted as a Horsemen that would have been a tragedy anyways since he spent most of his time feuding with them not apart of them.

I'd disagree. A lot of the guys in the 80's were using some already undoubtedly in the hall of fame so thats just as excuse. I mean of course he was enabling he was using too. The Hall of Fame should be based on in ring abilities not the out of ring demons that a lot of guys are known to have.

Seems like you never know what you're going to get from the WWE as last year they were perfectly fine inducting Abdullah into the hall despite all the controversy surrounding him and the HIV shit.

Lex Luger shouldn't be inducted because hes flat out not worthy, never mind any controversies.

There was a time he was a mega over face, and it lasted all of two weeks.

If WWE want to trash Ultimate Warrior on DVD releases calling him a flash in the pan, it would be hypocritical to induct Lex. Also, he killed Liz Savage, so +10 piece of shit points.

As bad as it sounds I think that Luger's best chance of going in is after he is dead. I just can't see WWE putting him in once he is still alive since they will hold some grudges for how he left WWE for WCW and because of the Elizabeth death connection.

Just a strange thought I had.

I hope Goldberg never makes another appearance in WWE. In fact, I want shit to REALLY hit the fan and the two parties have a big falling out kinda thing.

... Then WWE can take a hilarious jab at Goldberg by inducting Gillberg into the Hall of Fame.

Make it happen, WWE!!

More on Flair's WWE HOF Status
Despite Ric Flair claiming on a number of occasions that he will be present for the induction of The Four Horsemen at this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that in reality Flair being allowed to appear is far from a done deal.

Flair has admitted privately that he has a long way to go in making sure that all legal issues are avoided with TNA. It should be noted that although Flair did attend the ceremony last year, he was not shown on WWE TV as he was under contract to TNA.

I'm sure he'll end up appearing some way or another.

HOF Tickets Selling Well
Tickets are said to be selling very well for this year's WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, as they were nearly sold out after going on sale last weekend.

Nice.

Luger Says He Would Be Honored To Be Inducted Into "The Hall of Fame"
During a recent public appearance, Lex Luger was asked what being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame would mean to him.

“It would just be a tremendous honor if someday I was inducted in the Hall of Fame, but really, we’re here to get down to glory to God now with our lives and serve others and use open vessels for him to bring people to Christ,” says Luger, who in 2006 declared himself a born again Christian.
Lex continues, “But, would that be an honor? It’s something that would also help to use as a platform to continue ministry as well. It would be wonderful, definitely.”

It was reported last week that Luger not being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year as part of the Horsemen clan stems from the events surrounding Miss Elizabeth’s death, who passed away on May 1, 2003 in the home they shared. Her cause of death, according to the coroner’s report, was “acute toxicity” brought on by a buffet of prescription painkillers and vodka. Many people in WWE blame Luger for her tragic death as he’s seen as her enabler. Luger himself has admitted to being a negative influence on her life.

“I take a lot of responsibility for that—my influence in her life,” he told ESPN.com in 2007 regarding his heavy drug abuse, which rubbed off on her during their relationship. “Her little heart and body couldn’t take what I was doing.”

As said, as much as it'd be an honor to be inducted whilst you're alive, the only chance Luger has is probably after he's dead. Sucks, it's the same with guys like Savage.

With Flair I am sure that he will find a way to get on the show. There is no way that he will miss this event.

No surprise that the tickets are selling well Edge and the Four Horsemen are both big drawcards and caters to the young and old audience.

Warrior Trashes HOF, Says He Turned Down Vince's Offer

The WWE released "The Self Destruction of the Warrior" and then wants to put him in their Hall of Fame? I wouldn't accept it either and it shows that Warrior has balls to stand up to Vince and turn him down.

So, by the looks of things, has the Warrior and Kevin Nash feud stopped?
