After earth
Now you see me.

I know that there are more opening this week than that but I still have yet to see IM 3, Fast 6, and Star Trek so those take the cake for me still.

Now You See Me looks sweet. Haven't heard much on it yet though, is it doing good?

Vehicle 19 Jun 14
20 Feet From Stardom Jun 14
In the Fog Jun 14

Well which flick do you want to see this weekend? I am looking forward to Man of Steel but will probably hold out til I see the ones from the last few weekends first. They are more important than this one.

I'm so much more interested in This Is The End than Man of Steel.

I am too. I am not all that excited about Man of Steel. This is the End looks like a Hot Tub SuperBad reunion to me.

It was a really great movie with a pretty sweet ending too. I'm thinking about checking out This Is The End for certain.

World War Z Jun 21
Monsters University Jun 21
The Bling Ring Jun 21
Maniac Jun 21
A Hijacking Jun 21
Unfinished Song Jun 21
The Attack Jun 21
The Haunting of Helena Jun 21

World War Z is the obvious choice but I will probably take my daughter to see Monsters University she has been talking about this film for at least a month now and she it 2 so that is probably where I will end up at some point.

I've seen Maniac and The Haunting of Helena already since they've been out on VOD for months, both were good but definitely not theater movies. I'd pick Monsters University as well, since I've already decided I won't watch World War Z based on it having no chance of being as good as the book.

The Bling Ring seems pretty interesting too.

Despite my objections to it, in the name of being socialable I'm seeing World War Z tomorrow. And as if the movie gods weren't punishing me enough, I'm seeing it in 3D too.

On the plus side, my expectations are so low it can only be better.

Honestly there should only be one to see this weekend and that is Wolverine but I know different strokes for different folks so which flick this week excites you most.

Saw Stranded a few weeks back, its a weak-ass Christian Slater movie where they're on the moon and it turns into a poopy clone of The Thing...kind of. So yeah, not so good.

I was hesitant to see Wolverine but it IS based on the old Claremont/Miller mini-series so I'll be seeing it this weekend for sure.

Time to bring this baby back up to speed. Here's the list of movies coming out next weekend....

Closed Circuit
Getaway
One Direction: This is Us
Afternoon Delight
I Declare War
Instructions Not Included
Last Flight of the Champion
The Lifeguard
Our Nixon
Passion
I've seen a few of these already at the TIFF and through download. I Declare War is a pretty nifty little take on Lord of the Flies with some strong child-acting, while Passion has some lesbian action between Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams so yeah, its damn good. If I had to pick one I haven't seen yet, I'd say Closed Circuit, since I love a good little thriller.

Is it bad that I haven't heard of any of these? Wait, Getaway is the Ethan Hawke/Selena Gomez one, right? Yeah, I'll sit this week out...
