Do I really need to ask which films you want to see this weekend.
The movie that's coming out this week that looks the best is The Place Beyond the Pines. Unfortunately it doesn't come out here for another couple of weeks, but I'll be going to see it as soon as it does. I've seen Room 237 (it's a doc about different theories regarding The Shining) and it's pretty boring.

The Place Beyond the Pines has Ryan Gosseling in it if memory serves me correctly and if so that look pretty freaking decent and probably an early oscar contender based upon the rest of the year.

I watched Olympus Has Fallen and G.I. Joe: Retalition all this past week. Enjoyed both, with the latter being far better than expected.

Saw Thale at TIFF, it was pretty fucked up but I liked it (big surprise there). I'll probably check out Evil Dead and we've already got tickets for Jurassic Park on Monday afternoon.

technically the mrs. asked to go see GI Joe so I will take her to that and want to go see Evil Dead. JP doesn't interest me. I have seen it already 5000 times so it can stay where it is

Here are the movies opening this week which ones do you want to see:

Oblivion Apr 19
The Lords of Salem Apr 19
In the House Apr 19
Home Run Apr 19
Errors Of The Human Body Apr 19
Pawn Apr 19

Oblivion looks decent and one that I might like so that is on my radar to watch.

Downloaded Pawn the other day, haven't watched yet but it has a good cast so I'll probably check that out sooner rather than later. Oblivion is directed by the guy who did Tron: Legacy, so I really want to see it but I can't stand Tom Cruise, which sucks for me.

But it has Morgan Freeman and a hot chick.

Yeah, but it'll also have Cruise in nearly every shot. Oh well, I downloaded the copy that's been kicking around the web, so if it seems decent I may go check it out.

Not this week but I'm looking forward to the upcoming Great Gatsby. Partially because I've read the book and seen the original. They were both pretty mediocre but I see the potential for a great movie if done right. The main reason though is because of Leonardo's performance in Django Unchained. I see him playing a great Gatsby and with Toby Maguire (or wtf ever) as Nick... seems like it has a shot to be good. Also "No Church In The Wild" was used on the previews so I gotta see it now.

Pain & Gain Apr 26
The Big Wedding Apr 26
Mud Apr 26
Kon Tiki Apr 26
The Numbers Station Apr 26
At Any Price Apr 24

Pain and Gain for me this week. So Dwayne has 1 more movie until he climbs in a car with Vin Diesel. So looks decent to me.

I'll take Mud or Kon Tiki, nothing about Pain and Gain interests me in the slightest. I was actually going to joke that Mud would be better but then I read about it and it sounds really good.
