This whole thing has just been shitty, and i don't think I've changed my opinion on him as a fighter but as a person? He proved that everything Rasahd Evans said about him was true.

Seems like he has that attitude that he's bigger than the sport of MMA. Really reminds me of Tito back in the day when he and Dana were feuding.

He knew the show was going to be cancelled if he didn't take the Sonnen fight.

For anybody who hasn't listened to the media call with Dana White, you need to get on that he rips Jones to pieces.

Almost done with the call and sounds like if Jones turned down the Machida fight he would actually fire Jones lol or at least that is what he alluded to.

What did Evans say about Jones exactly that made it seem like Jones would do something like this?

Basically called him fake, and that once he became champion he'd turn into a whole different person which in the media call with Dana he said he thinks Jones has changed as well.

Like i said before though, my opinion of Jones as a fighter will stay the same but Jon as a person it's changed. I figured he'd have released a statement by now explaining everything him self instead of having his trainer do all the talking for him..

I laughed hard at how much he buried the trainer and in a way can't blame him since I don't see his statement of "If you take this Chael fight it'll be the biggest mistake of your career" making a lick of a sense since I'm pretty sure being the first champ to turn down a fight and causing the whole event to be pushed back fits that statement a lot better as the biggest mistake of his career.

Yeah and not only that, Chael had already came out and said that Jones was afraid to fight him weeks ago. Even though I don't think Jones is afraid of him, turning down a fight with the guy doesn't really say much in his defense.

How is Chael a threat to Jones anyway?

Jones already had people turning on him after his holier than thou routine started creeping around.

Jones is a RAGING PUSSY for refusing to fight the G.O.A.T Chael Sonnen.

So i was just reading that Anderson Silva had called the UFC asking if he could fight on UFC 151 against Jones or any other LHW just to save the PPV. But by the time he got ahold of Dana it was too late.

whoa.... Anderson Silva proposing to step up to save the show? Dana must be pissed that he missed out on the opportunity to create that dream fight.

I read that Anderson was willing to fight someone at 205... but not Jones. Would make more sense.

Jones definitely made a stupid decision by not taking the fight against Chael to save the card. Dana White can certainly hold a vendetta and I don't blame him because Jones just cost the UFC a LOT of money. I get that he'd been training for Henderson but he claims himself to be one of the best, if not the best fighter in the world and the best fighter in the world should be willing to fight anyone, anywhere at anytime no excuses save for injury. I never liked Jones's attitude, but now I really don't like his attitude. If Anderson and Chael were both willing to fight him, he should've taken the fight. Honestly, either of those fights would've been huge and a win for either guy would have helped their careers immensely.

I was thinking they might have been able to put together Anderson/Chael for another match, but neither of them are walking around at middleweight right now. There's no way either of them are weighing in at under 200 in between fights.

Can't believe that this whole PPV is cancelled. I thought that Jones would have been up for the challenge of Sonnen even on such short notice. He would have the advantage over Sonnen anyway because he has been in training camp for so long already plus Sonnen is fighting up a division. This is going to give Sonnen so much ammunition for interviews over the next few months, looking forward to how he deals with it. Really disappointing by Jones, he is a great fighter but this is a shit thing to do to the fans, the other fighters and all the people that work to set up an event like this.

Just kind of thinking and I'm not sure anybody else suggested this idea but one way they could've saved this card was having Jones fight at Heavyweight. He had yet to cut weight the day the show was cancelled so he was walking around 225-235 anyways. Jones doesn't have the title on the line nothing to lose he gets to test the waters at HW which he wants to do. Fans get to see Jones fight and interesting opponent still. UFC 151 doesn't get cancelled and cost Zuffa millions of dollars, and everybody is happy.
