Why would you wear a specific color every time you lose?

Not every single time obviously, but Flair was known to don the red trunks when he was losing. You can see the evidence in many matches he lost in. It kind of became an in-joke for awhile. If he wore Green he won almost every time (color of money) but if he wore red (color of blood) he lost.
