TNA Impact: A Phenomenal Champion
Impact Zone
Orlando, Florida
October 21, 2010

AJ Styles came out to start the show with the TNA World Championship around his waist, and he got a mixed reaction. He said that he’s won the TNA Championship at Bound For Glory two years in a row now, and this time he’s not going to let it be stolen from him by a few power-hungry hoodlums. He put over the fact that he FINALLY pinned Samoa Joe, and then called Joe out. Joe said that Styles still didn’t, and can’t, beat him one-on-one, but Styles says that’s besides the point because he’s the World Champion. Joe said that would not be for long, because he’s going to take the title back by cashing in his rematch clause at Turning Point. Chris Daniels then came out and made his case, stressing that he wasn’t even pinned, and was continuously screwed over heading into BFG, and in fairness he should probably be the champion right now.

Scott Steiner came out and called them all smurfs, and said that there would be a rematch of the three-way at Turning Point, and that’s that. But for tonight, he said he’s got an idea for a main event. He said that he’s heard Daniels call Ravarian useless a lot lately, and AJ Styles seems to believe that he’s a nice guy now, so he’s putting those to the test by booking AJ Styles/Samoa Joe vs Chris Daniels/Ravarian in a handicap match.

Commentary ran down the rest of the card: Monty vs Christian for the TV Title, Angle vs Young, a big announcement from Kevin Nash, and the aforementioned main event.

--Commercial Break--

Match 1: Petey Williams/Tyson Dux vs The Young Bucks
Formulaic tag match, with Petey continuing to throw around his power, and a few high-paced comeback from the Bucks. They got a really long two-count on Dux after their Stereo Mafia Kicks, but Petey made the save. He dumped Max to the outside, and Jeremy got hit with a running powerslam by Dux, and then he tapped to the Sharpshooter.
Winners via submission: Petey Williams/Tyson Dux (6:12)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, but AMW ran out and attacked them, and laid them out with their respective finishers.

EY found Roode backstage and congratulated him on beating Christian Cage last week. Roode thanked him, and EY asked if Roode saw him pin Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory. Roode just laughed and pointed out that he really wants his attention. Young said they should talk, and they walked off.

--Commercial Break--

Kevin Nash came down to the ring and said that he had made his first big decision as Chancellor of the X-Division. He said that Alex Shelley was still nursing some injuries from his brutal ladder match with Chris Sabin from Bound For Glory, and so he was giving him a month off. Until then, he was putting together a 16-man tournament to determine the #1 contender to the title, and the tournament would conclude at Turning Point. He announced the first two matches would be tonight: Davey Richards vs Ritchie Steamboat and Elijah Burke vs Amazing Red, with the first happening now!

Match 2: Davey Richards vs Ritchie Steamboat [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Davey jumped Steamboat at the bell and beat the snot out of him for a good bit. He came back after shooing away a DDT with an arm drag, and then he went on an arm drag spree. He tried a Springboard Crossbody, but Richards ducked, and came off the ropes with a running back elbow! ONE … TWO … TH – Steamboat kicked out! Richards leaned down, but Steamboat took him right into a small package! ONE … TWO … THRE – Richards got out! He exploded with big chops and got some big momentum, and topped it off with a snap suplex! He went up top for a Flying Crossbody, but Richards hit him in midair with a dropkick! He called for the Bankrupt Driver, but Team 3D came out to the stage! Richards was distracted and Steamboat used a backslide to pin him!
Winner via pinfall: Ritchie Steamboat (5:54)

Team 3D laughed and returned to the back. Steamboat celebrated to the back. Richards got up and couldn’t believe it, and commentary marked out at the Team 3D sighting.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Elijah Burke vs Amazing Red [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Burke squash. He hit the Elijah Express, BUT TEAM 3D RAN BACK OUT! Burke shouted at them to leave, and Red grabbed a backslide! ONE … TWO … THR – Burke kicked out! Burke poked Red in the eye and ran off the ropes, but Brother Ray grabbed his leg! Burke stumbled forward, and Red hit a big roundhouse! HURRICANRANA DRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Amazing Red (3:12)

Red celebrated, and Team 3D climbed back into the ring! 3D TO BURKE! Richards ran back down, BUT HE TOOK A 3D TOO! TEAM 3D CELEBRATED UP THE RAMP AND BAILOUT WAS PISSED!

Backstage, Chuck Taylor asked if Hernandez wanted to team on Xplosion this week, but Hernandez passed, saying that Chuck never wins, and Hernandez hates to lose.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Booker T/Jay Lethal[c] vs Jihad [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Showcase for the champions. Dutt bumped around big, and then Bashir too the fall to the Lethal Elbow.
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Booker T/Jay Lethal (4:30)

The Negroes celebrated in the ring, and Steiner came out. He said that he was re-watching Bound For Glory VI on the replay that can be found on your local PPV network, and he really enjoyed the Tag Team Turmoil match. And one team in particular stood out for their superior amateur wrestler—and art that he holds close to his heart. So, at Turning Point, Booker T and Jay Lethal would be facing…

THE WORLD’S GREATEST TAG TEAM~!~

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas came out to a big pop, and they climbed into the ring. Booker T totally dug it, and Lethal looked excited as well. All four men shook hands, and Steiner said that he liked seeing tag titles mean something.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, AJ Styles finds Samoa Joe. He apologized for being a dick lately, but Joe said it’s easy to apologize when you have the World Title, but to come back and apologize after Joe takes the title back.

Match 5: Monty Brown[c] w/ Robert Roode vs Christian Cage [TNA Television Championship]
This was largely Monty Brown mauling Christian, so Christian started to cheat to take over. He managed to comeback after an undetected low blow, but when he went up top, Roode caused a distraction long enough for Monty to crotch him at the top and Military Press him down! ONE … TWO … THR – Christian kicked out! Monty pulled him up and tried the Alpha Bomb, but Cage floated over and countered with his Falling Reverse DDT! He measured Monty up and tried the Unprettier, but Monty shoved him forward RIGHT INTO THE REF~! It was a light bump, but long enough for Christian to kick Monty in the nuts! Roode slid in and lined up for the Northern Lariat, but the ref saw him and forced him out of the ring! The two argued, AND ERIC YOUNG SNUCK INTO THE RING! HOCKEY STICK TO CHRISTIAN’S SKULL! Christian stumbled into the Alpha Bomb as Young rolled out of the ring! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (7:22)

Eric Young high-tailed it to the back, and Roode celebrated with Monty in the ring.

Angle was backstage WALKING~ for his match.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Kurt Angle vs Eric Young
They did some heated mat wrestling for a bit, and shortly after Roode came down to ringside. When Angle put in an early ankle lock, Roode rushed the ring and attacked, causing the DQ.
Winner via disqualification: Kurt Angle (2:01)

Young and Roode kept stomping at Angle, and they pulled him up, and Roode hit the Payoff! Young went to strap him into the Sharpshooter, BUT CHRISTIAN CAGE RAN OUT! He cleared the ring, and then helped Angle to his feet.

Backstage, Daniels told Ravarian not to mess this up, or else they’d be on their way out of the Enlightened.

--Commercial Break--

Match 7: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe vs The Enlightened w/ Skipper & Daffney
Daniels wanted AJ immediately, and he obliged. They had a long mat exchange, but it reached a stalemate and Joe wanted in. Daniels tried to take him on, but kept it slower. He kept luring Joe into lock-ups, and it ended up being a trap and he lured him into his corner where he was trapped by the Enlightened. They all took cheap shots and took turns keeping him contained, but he exploded out of the corner with a running headbutt to level Rave! He tagged in Styles, who came right in with his Springboard Elbow Smash! ONE … TWO … THR – Rave kicked out! Styles pulled him up and tried the Styles Clash, but Rave rolled him up! ONE … TWO … T – Styles kicked out! They both got up and Rave tried a clothesline, but Styles ducked and hit the Pele Kick! RACK BOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels dove to save! Shit broke down in the ring, and Ravarian ended up double teaming AJ to the outside. He had them hold the Champion in place, while Daniels went out AND HIT HIM WITH THE FOSBURY FLOP. Joe reared back and tried the Elbow Suicida, BUT THEY MOVED AND JOE’S ELBOW HIT THE STEEL BARRICADE! WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK!

--Commercial Break--

The Enlightened were working over Joe’s arm, and but he used his kicks and HEADBUTTS~ to break away and after a few minutes he made the hot tag! Styles used his flying to bump all three guys around, but the numbers got to him, and as he was taking on Ravarian, Daniels snuck up behind with a roundhouse to the back of the head! ONE … TWO … THR – Styles kicked out! Daniels pulled him up and tried the Angel’s Wings, but Styles body dropped away. He got some good momentum, but while Kaz distracted the ref, Rave snuck in an enzuigiri, and Styles stumbled into the Last Rites! ONE … TWO … THRE – JOE BROKE IT UP! Moves were traded in a finishing run, and it came down to Styles and Daniels. Daniels tried the Last Rites again, but Styles spun out, ran for the corner, and hit his Phenomenal DD – NO! Daniels busted him in the jaw with a back elbow! Joe charged at Daniels, but he ducked, AND JOE CLOTHESLINED STYLES! Ravarian pulled Joe to the outside as Daniels focused on Styles! BEST! MOONSAULT! EVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!

The Enlightened celebrated in the ring, especially Christopher Daniels who just pinned the TNA World Champion. They went to the back, and Joe and Styles got up and looked at each other intensely.

Commentary welcomed us to the show, and Kevin Nash hyped up the three X-Division #1 Contendership Tournament matches, and Taz hyped up Charlie Haas vs Chad Collyer in the main event.

Clips of Amazing Red and Ritchie Steamboat advancing to the next round of the tournament played.

Match 1: Petey Williams vs Super Crazy [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
HE’S SUPER~! HE’S CRAZY~! HE’S beat around by Petey Williams for most of the match. Williams caught him from a Moonsault and hit a Running Powerslam, then used the Border’s Edge to end it.
Winner via pinfall: Petey Williams (4:46)

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Jimmy Jacobs vs Scott Lost [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Big back-and-forth struggle. Both guys got a lot of nearfalls. Jacobs spent most of the match softening up Lost’s midsection, whereas Lost targeted Jacobs’ shoulder to prevent a Spear. Jimmy went for one anyway, but Lost moved, and Jacobs drove his shoulder into the post! Rollup by Lost! ONE … TWO … THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Lost kicked at his shoulder, and then used a big roundhouse to take him to his knees. He tried the Big Fat Kill, but Jacobs ducked and caught him coming back with a hurricanrana! He went up top and hit the Flying Back Senton to get the pin.
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (7:55)

Jacobs celebrated in the ring and motioned for the title.

Backstage, Viktor Koslov told Kiyoshi that he better not lose to Sean Waltman tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Clips of last week’s fourway match played, with the brawl between TJ and Volador that took them out of the finishing run of the match.

Match 3: Volador vs TJ Perkins [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Lots of TJ stalling and heeling, but Volador bumped him around for the majority of the match. He almost got the win after a Springboard Hurricanrana, but Perkins kicked out right before three. The lucha went up top and tried a Moonsault, but Perkins moved! He came off the ropes for a Running DDT, but Volador kept his momentum and used it to shove him into the corner. He charged with a big clothesline, and then set Perkins up top. He attempted a Frankensteiner, but Perkins held onto the ropes and Volador crashed to the mat below. He staggered to his feet, and Perkins came off with a Flying High Knee! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: TJ Perkins (6:48)

Perkins celebrated in the ring over Volador.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Kiyoshi vs Sean Waltman [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Kiyoshi played the face here, since literally nobody likes Sean Waltman in 2010. Not even Chyna, and that’s saying something. Kiyoshi delivered the chops, but Waltman cheated to take over. Kiyoshi blocked a Pedigree and got some good momentum, but Waltman came back after an undetected low blow and did a ton of stalling and the crowd shat on it. Kiyoshi came back, until Kevin Nash TOSSED HIS SHOE FROM THE ANNOUNCE BOOTH AND INTO THE RING. It didn’t hit Kiyoshi, but he looked at it and was like “wtf†and he turned back into the Syxx-Factor to lose.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Waltman (4:58)

Waltman celebrated up the ramp as Kevin Nash marked out at ringside and Taz was cracking up.

--Commercial Break--

Koslov yelled at Kiyoshi in the back for losing.

Footage from last week of Dutt and Bashir attacking Bonham after he beat Dutt played.

Match 5: Brandon Bonham/Eddie Edwards vs Jihad w/ Raisha Saeed
The faces run stuff at the top, but Edwards got caught up in distractions, and Dutt nailed him with half nelson bulldog that looked way better than Edge’s. Edwards got beat down for a bit, even despite the fact that Bashir spent most of his time on the apron shouting for Allah. Edwards managed to catch Bashir with a nice Flapjack, and then made the tag to Bonham who came in on fire. They both started bumping around Jihad for a bit, and Bonham nailed Dutt with a Flying Thrust Kick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Bashir dove to save! Edwards ran at him, but Bashir lowbridged him to the outside! Bonham got up and tossed Bashir out of the ring, but then turned into batshit insane Sonjay Cutter! ONE … TWO …. THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Jihad (5:33)

Jihad celebrated in the ring with Raisha Saeed.

--Commercial Break--

Steiner’s announcement from Impact played of Styles vs Joe vs Daniels being booked for Turning Point.

Chuck Taylor was in the back, and he said it was time for him to shock the world, and he was going to win the X-Division tournament, and then beat Shelley for the title.

Commentary reacted to Petey, Jacobs, Perkins, and Waltman advancing in the tournament, and then turned to hype up Collyer vs Haas NEXT.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Chad Collyer vs Charlie Haas w/ Shelton Benjamin
This was predominately a lot of big struggles on the mat, mainly high-pace and high-intensity. Haas started to stick some arm work, so Collyer countered by throwing him around with big suplexes. Haas worked to block some of them, so Collyer used some backbreakers, which Taz attributed to Collyer working with Roderick Strong a lot recently. Anyway, he started to work over Haas’ back some, until he blocked a belly-to-belly with a big elbow, and then used a snap suplex! He came off the ropes with a kick to the back of the knee, and then tried to put in the Haas of pain, but Collyer quickly crawled to the ropes. Haas pulled him up and tried a German Suplex, but Collyer grappled around and tried one of his own, but Haas grabbed the ropes. Collyer tried for a bit to get the Suplex anyway, but Haas managed to elbow away, and then charged with a clothesline, but Collyer ducked and sent him to the outside. He ran off the ropes AND CAME BACK WITH A BASEBALL SLIDE TO THE OUTSIDE!

--Commercial Break--

Collyer was bouncing Haas around and looked really aggressive, but when Haas got off a Gutwrench Gutbuster after some good momentum, he took over. He did a lot of general offense, but he also took aim at Collyer’s leg when he saw any window. Collyer made quite a few comebacks and controlled it at times, but it got harder and harder as Haas wore at his leg more and more. After a while, Collyer couldn’t get Haas up properly for a powerbomb due to his leg, and Haas fought out and hit a big DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Collyer kicked out! Haas called for the end and tried to put in the Haas of Pain, but Collyer pulled it into a small package! ONE … TWO … THR – Haas got out! Collyer tried a big clothesline, but Haas ducked and hit a knee breaker, then put him right into the Haas of Pain! Collyer struggled for a while, but he finally made it to the ropes, though the damage was done. He hobbled around, and Haas got him up for a T-Bone, but Collyer countered WITH A GARGOYLE SUPLEX! He held at his knee, but crawled over and made a cover! ONE … TWO … THRE – Haas got an arm up! Collyer tried to put him into a Boston Crab, but Haas kicked his leg out and quickly put in a Reverse Figure Four! Collyer yelled out in pain, and the timekeeper announced that two minutes remained. Nash recommended that Collyer just try to fight it out in the hold, but Collyer continued to fight to the ropes, and he made it! Haas yanked him up and tossed him to the mat, and tried to put in the Haas of Pain, but Collyer spun him away! Haas bounced backwards off the ropes, RIGHT INTO THE EVERST GERMAN! ONE … TWO … THR – Collyer’s leg gave out and he lost the bridge! He pulled Haas up and tried another Everest German, but Haas mule kicked at Collyer’s knee! Shit! He pulled him into a knee bar, but Shelton shouted at him that there was less than a minute left, so Haas switched it into the Haas of Pain! Collyer struggled to get to the ropes, but Haas held it in tight! Time was running out, but Collyer kept expending himself trying to get to the ropes! He made one last attempt, and he made it to the ropes! Haas quickly pulled him up and hit a Bridging German! ONE … TWO … THRE – Collyer kicked out! Haas picked him up and quickly hit a belly-to-belly! ONE … TWO … THRE – Collyer got up an arm! Haas was pissed, but he quickly tried to put in the Haas of Pain! Collyer resisted it, and the wrestled over it on the mat for a while, but TIME RAN OUT!
Time limit draw (15:00)

Collyer and Haas both slowly got up, and they shared a handshake to a nice ovation. WGTT returned to the back, and commentary hyped their pending tag title match.

Footage played of Interim GM Steiner booking AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels for the TNA Championship at Turning Point.

Commentary welcomed us to the live show and ran down the card: AJ Styles vs Rhino, the continuation of the X-Division tournament, an interview with AJ Styles, and Booker T/Jay Lethal vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost for the Tag Team Titles.

Match 1: America’s Most Wanted vs Jihad w/ Raisha Saeed
This was largely a squashing, but Jihad did enough ducking away to make it go more than a couple minutes. James Storm called for the Eight Second Ride, but Tyson Dux ran out and jumped on the apron! Storm ran after him and knocked him off, and while the ref was look at him, PETEY WILLIAMS SNUCK AND BASHED STORM IN THE HEAD WITH A HOCKEY STICK! Jihad saw it all happen, and Bashir ran over to tackled Harris off the apron as Sonjay went up top and hit Storm with a ridiculously absurd Corkscrew 450 Splash~! ONE … TWO … THREE!!
Winners via pinfall: Jihad (3:43)

HOLY UPSET, BATMAN! AMW was shocked. Jihad was shocked. Commentary was shocked. Everybody was shocked. Jihad ducked out of the ring, and AMW flipped out. Petey and Dux laughed up the entrance ramp, and AMW ran after them, but they got away.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped AJ Styles interview with Mike Tenay played. They talked about Styles’ year-long path back to the TNA Championship, how he doesn’t regret the actions he took to ensure a shot at the title, the feeling of finally pinning Joe, the desire to beat Joe one-on-one, and the embarrassment on being pinned last week in his first match as TNA Champion. In the end, he promised that he was going to be the best TNA Champion that this company has seen.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Chuck Taylor vs Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Chuck kept throwing Koslov off with arm drags, and after ever one he celebrated like crazy. He got the crowd to start a “CHUCK-IE! CHUCK – IE!†chant, but Koslov tackled him behind and started slamming his face into the mat. He had some really brutal offense, not really targeting anything, but just being really aggressive. He tried to put in the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Taylor pulled him into a small package! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov got out! They both got up, AND TAYLOR USED A HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN SHIT YEAH! He jumped to the second rope and came off with a Flying Crossbody! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov got an arm up! Taylor tried a vertical suplex, but he didn’t get him up straight, and Koslov landed behind him. Kiyoshi hopped up on the apron, and Koslov went to whip Taylor, but Taylor reversed it, AND KOSLOV HIT KIYOSHI! He stumbled back, and Taylor got a rollup! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov JUST kicked out! He quickly pulled Koslov up and tried the Twist of Fate, but Koslov spun through and turned it right into the Red Scare! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (5:56)

Koslov and the rest of the Powers celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles found Samoa Joe and forgave him for last week, but Joe said that he never apologized.

Chuck Taylor was in the back, very upset. Hernandez came up and made fun of him for losing again, and for never having won a match. Taylor said it was just a matter of time until he surprises everybody and gets a big win against someone like … YOU! Hernandez instinctively slugged Taylor across the face and told him to never say shit like that.

Team 3D came out and cut a promo. They said that after Tag Team Turmoil, they got that itch for another match, and they both agreed that it should be against Bailout. JBL came out and they traded words, until Bailout snuck down into the ring. They attacked, but Team 3D turned the tide. Richards got hit with the 3D, but Burke escaped.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Kurt Angle thanked Christian Cage for coming to his aid last week. Cage said it was no problem, and the guys talked about EY and Roode for a bit. Angle said that Roode is a dick and a brown-noser, but he’s also very talented. Cage suggested that they work together to take both guys on at once, and Angle agreed.

Match 3: Roderick Strong vs Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Lots of clean mat work at the start, but Williams started to throw stiff knees. Strong caught one and countered with a Dragon Whip, and then pounced on his knee. He got some solid work in, but a distraction from Dave Taylor on the outside let Williams surprise Strong with his Flying Double Knees! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong kicked out! Williams pulled him up and tried the Chaos Theory, but Strong held onto the corner and did a Springboard Dropkick from the turnbuckle! ONE … TWO … TH – Williams kicked out! Strong tried to put him into the Stronghold, but Williams rolled through and escaped to the outside. Williams regrouped with Taylor, but Strong came off the ropes for a Baseball Slide, but Williams moved and it hit Taylor! Strong stood up, right into a big clothesline from Williams on the outside! We’ll be right back!

--Commercial Break--

Back in the ring, Williams was wearing out Strong by targeting the neck, kneeing at it when he could. Strong managed to fight his way out of a Reverse Neckbreaker, and he countered with a Pendulum Backbreaker. He pulled him up and got him in Butterfly position, but Williams pushed away and hit an Inverted Body Slam! ONE … TWO … THR – Strong kicked out! Williams tried to put in the Britannic Bow and Arrow, but Strong elbowed away before it was locked in. Williams whipped him across and tried a body drop, but Strong floated over and grabbed him from behind with a GUTWRENCH BACKBREAKER!! ONE … TWO … THRE – Williams kicked out! Strong pulled him up and tried the Strong Backbreaker, but Williams pulled him into a backslide! ONE … TWO … THR – Strong got out and turned it into rollup! ONE … TWO …THRE – Williams pushed away and put him into a prawn! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong got out and put him into his own prawn! ONE … TWO … TH – Williams turned it into a sunset flip! ONE … TWO … THR – Strong got out and turned it into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE … TWO … THREE!!!
Winner via submission: Roderick Strong (12:49)

Strong celebrated in the ring and signaled for the title.

In the back, Daniels was cutting a promo saying that he should undoubtedly have AJ Styles one-on-one for the TNA Championship, since he wasn’t the one pinned at Bound For Glory, AND since he pinned AJ Styles last week. Samoa Joe came up and said that he wouldn’t even bother arguing against the “logic†that Daniels put forth, since it’s not worth the time; instead, he said, Daniels should put up or shut up. Joe challenged Daniels to get in the ring with him, and Daniels proposed a tag team match, where each guy could pick their own partner. Both guys agreed, and it was set.

--Commercial Break--

Rave, Kaz, and Skipper all volunteered to be Daniels’ tag team partner, but he laughed at them all and left.

WGTT came down to ringside to watch the following match.

Match 4: Booker T/Jay Lethal[c] vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Jay Lethal was in for his team for the most part, and he did a good job bumping the challengers around. He tried the Lethal Combination on TJ, but TJ shoved him away and connected with a jawbreaker! He and Lost kept him isolated for a bit, but Lethal eventually countered a Lost vertical suplex into a falling neckbreaker! Hot tag to Booker T! He came in on fire and bumped both guys around. TJ tried his Diving High Knee, but Booker ducked, and TJ stumbled up into a springboard clothesline from Lethal! Lost staggered into the ring, and Booker T hit him with the Axe Kick! SPIN-A-ROONIE~! He tagged out to Lethal, and then tackled Perkins out of the ring. Lethal went up top and hit Lost with the Lethal Elbow and grabbed the three-count.
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: Booker T/Jay Lethal (6:04)

The champions celebrated in the ring, and Benjamin/Haas looked impressed.

Commentary talked about Collyer and Haas going to a time limit draw on Xplosion, and then they hyped up Collyer vs Benjamin this Saturday.

Chris Daniels found MONTY BROWN~ backstage and asked him to be his tag team partner tonight. He asked if he could beat the shit out of people, and Daniels said yeah, so he agreed.

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe took a deep breath, and then walked into a locker room that read, “KURT ANGLE.â€

AJ Styles came out before his match with a microphone. He admitted that he’s been a real jerk lately, and he apologized. He said that he got his priorities out of whack, and winning the TNA Championship helped him realized that. He said people can choose to believe him or not, but he knows the truth.

Match 5: AJ Styles vs Rhino w/ Angelina Love [Non-Title]
Styles looked really dominant here, and didn’t play underdog at all despite the size difference. Rhino did have a brief pocket of offense following Angelina interference, and he just hit Styles around, but he hit him fucking hard. After some stiff offense, Styles managed to get off the Phenomenal DDT, and grabbed a tight cradle! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (6:53)

AJ celebrated in the ring with his World Title.

--Commercial Break--

Both Joe and Daniels came out to present their tag team partners, Angle and Monty respectively.

Match 6: Samoa Joe/Kurt Angle vs Christopher Daniels/Monty Brown
Daniels and Joe went at it with a slow build, but when Daniels took a cheap shot at Kurt on the apron, he demanded in. Joe reluctantly obliged, and we got some really fast mat work between Angle and Daniels, which Angle eventually dominated. Daniels bitched out and tagged in Monty, and oh shit. Angle underestimated him and tried to take him to the mat, BUT MONTY JUST CHUCKED HIM TO THE SIDE BY THE NECK! Angle was completely flustered, and Joe offered to get in, but Angle refused. He tried to take it to Monty slower, but Monty just kept dominated him with his power! He lined up for his big Lariat, but Angle ducked and managed to get off a German Suplex! He called for the Olympic Slam, but Monty held his weight and PICKED ANGLE RIGHT UP INTO A TORTURE RACK! FUCK YEAH! He finally got sick of it and tossed Angle down. He tried a powerbomb, but Angle floated over. He ran off the ropes for a Flying Forearm, but Monty ducked. Angle staggered to his feet, and Monty FLOORED him with a Lariat! Angle tried to make the tag, but Monty picked him up and tossed him to the outside by his corner. Daniels kicked at him on the floor as it went to the final break of the night.

--Commercial Break--

Angle was still being isolated in the heel corner, and Daniels finally got a lot of confidence in wearing down Angle on the mat. Angle started to fight back with European Uppercuts, but when he came off the ropes, Daniels got him into the Koji Clutch! But before Daniels could wear him down, Angle tossed him off and came off the ropes with his Flying Forearm! HOT TAG TO JOE! HOUSE OF FIRE~! Daniels rolled to the outside AND MONTY AND JOE! MONTY AND JOE! They traded HUGE blows, and Joe started to mix in elbows, chops, punches, and kicks, and he got the advantage. He got Monty in the corner and set him up top, but Monty headbutted Joe away. He came off with his Flying Shoulderblock, but Joe ducked! Monty stumbled up, and Joe hit an X-Plex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels dove to save! Joe took it to him with quick jabs, but Daniels ducked one and drove Joe into the corner wit his STO! He pulled Joe into the middle of the ring, but Angle came out of nowhere and LEVELED Daniels with a clothesline! He pulled him up and tried the Olympic Slam, but Daniels floated over and landed on the apron, and pulled Angle along with himself to the floor below! While Monty and Joe went back-and-forth in the ring, Robert Roode and Eric Young ran out! With the ref’s attention in the ring, Daniels lured Angle to the other side of the ring, where EY and Roode surprised him with an assault! Joe saw it on the outside, and the distraction let Monty hit his big Lariat! He and Daniels double-teamed Joe, and Daniels ended up hitting the Angel’s Wings to win!
Winners via pinfall: Christopher Daniels/Monty Brown (14:02)

Daniels, Roode, and Young kept attacking Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. Monty went to leave, but Roode told him to stay, so he begrudgingly did. Styles ran down to make the save for Joe, and Cage ran down to make the save for Angle. Petey and Dux ran down to round out Team Canada, but that drew out AMW. A huge brawl took place to close the show.

Commentary hyped up four more X-Division tournament matches, along with Chad Collyer vs Shelton Benjamin in the main event!

Match 1: Amazing Red vs Viktor Koslov w/ Brutus Magnus [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Red ran shit up top with his CRAZY ANTICS~, but Koslov managed to turn the Satellite DDT into a tilt-a-whirl side slam. He started to wear over Red’s back, make his comebacks harder and harder. After Koslov shoved Red away from a Wheelbarrow Bulldog, he locked in the Moscow Cloverleaf! After a long struggle, Red made it to the ropes. Koslov pulled him up and tried the Red Scare, but Amazing Red countered into a headscissors takedown! He got a good head of steam, but Magnus tripped him up from the outside, and he stumbled forward into a body drop from Koslov! He went up top and hit his Russian Frog Elbow to Red’s back, and covered to advance in the tournament.
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (6:03)

Koslov celebrated in the ring, and Magnus joined him.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Sean Waltman vs Ritchie Steamboat [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Steamboat tried to end it quickly a number of times, but Waltman kept break free and rolling to the outside. Steamboat tried a Plancha, but Waltman moved! He beat the rookie around the floor and then rolled him down and tried the Pedigree, but Steamboat spun out and hit an enzuigiri! ONE … TWO … THRE – Waltman kicked out! Steamboat climbed up top and tried a Flying Crossbody, but Waltman ducked! Waltman yanked him up for a Spinning Wheel Kick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Steamboat got an arm up! Waltman tried the Syxx-Factor, but Steamboat held onto the ropes! He charged Waltman in the corner, but Waltman got a boot up to the nuts! Syxx-Factor! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Sean Waltman (4:05)

Waltman celebrated in the ring, and Nash called him the future of the industry from the booth.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Roderick Strong vs Petey Williams w/ Tyson Dux [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Strong worked the back. Petey used his “power.” Petey got him in the Sharpshooter, but Strong wrestled it over and put Williams into the Stronghold to make him tap.
Winner via submission: Roderick Strong (5:57)

Strong celebrated in the ring as AMW escaped up the ramp, and Petey was pissed.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Jimmy Jacobs vs TJ Perkins [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Good back-and-forth, and commentary mentioned that they were surprised to see TJ get such good offense on somebody who is generally seen as at least slightly higher up the ladder. Perkins got a nice control segment, but Jacobs made a usual comeback and topped it off with the Detroit Code to win.
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (7:22)

Jacobs held at his nose as he celebrated in the ring.

Now we know that the semi-finals will be Roderick Strong vs Sean Waltman and Viktor Koslov vs Jimmy Jacobs, which will both be on Impact. And the winners of those matches will meet at Turning Point to determine the #1 contender to the X-Division Championship!

--Commercial Break--

Footage of the Chuck Taylor/Sean Hernandez segments from recent Impacts played, and apparently Taylor requested a match between the two, and Steiner booked it for Impact in 2 weeks.

A promo played outlining the growing tension between Daniels and Joe, and commentary speculated as to what it could mean for AJ Styles and his World Title.

Strong and Collyer were in the back. Collyer congratulated Strong for advancing, and Strong wished Collyer good luck in his match up next.

--Commercial Break--

Clips of the Collyer/Haas draw from last week played.

Match 5: Chad Collyer vs Shelton Benjamin w/ Charlie Haas
This week they didn’t go to the mat for as long as Collyer and Haas did. Benjamin went right for the leg that Haas worked over last week, whereas Collyer threw suplexes at the very beginning to try to end it early. He connected with quite a few belly-to-belly suplexes, but when he tried regular vertical suplexes, Shelton countered two in a row with his cool float-over neckbreaker. Collyer finally caught on and started using snap suplexes instead, and then began to work over Benjamin’s back. He tried a Canadian Backbreaker, but Shelton slid down his back and took him down amateur-style, and locked in a leg bar! He pried for a while, and it seemed to do some good damage, but Collyer made it to the ropes. He rolled to the outside, but Shelton followed up there. They brawled some on the floor, and Collyer ended up hit a snap powerslam on the floor! He slid back into the ring and came off for a Baseball Slide, but Shelton moved AND HIT COLLYER WITH A SUPERKICK!

--Commercial Break--

Benjamin was wearing at Collyer in the ring, mostly focusing on the back. He would go to the leg whenever Haas would remind him, but he definitely seemed more comfortable going after the spine. He tried a T-Bone Suplex, but Collyer wrestled away and hit a over-the-head belly-to-belly! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelton kicked out! Collyer continued on a roll and started to control the pace of the match, and really took it to Shelton with a lot of nearfalls. Benjamin managed to roll away from a clothesline and caught Collyer coming off the ropes with a Samoan Drop! He came back with his signature moves that got some good pops—the Dragon Whip Kick, Stinger Splash, and then Springboard Clothesline! ONE … TWO … THRE – Collyer got an arm up! Benjamin pulled him up and tried a T-Bone again, but Collyer elbowed away AND HIT HIS OWN T-BONE SUPLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelton kicked out! Collyer pulled him up and tried the Everest German, but Benjamin wrestled around and hit his own Bridging German! ONE … TWO … THRE – Collyer kicked out! Benjamin tried another Superkick, but Collyer caught his leg, swept out his other one, grabbed him from the mat, AND HIT A KARELIN LIFT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Benjamin kicked out! Collyer tried another, but Benjamin held his weight and pulled Collyer to the mat and locked in a Haas of Pain! It wasn’t as good as Haas’, so Collyer got out of it though and rested in the corner. Benjamin tried another Sting Splash, but Collyer moved and Benjamin crashed into the corner! He stumbled back, AND COLLYER PUT HIM INTO THE CROSSFACE CHICKENWING! He pulled at it like crazy, AND NASH AWARDED COLLYER 9.3 BACKLUNDS OUT OF 10 HOLY SHIT! Haas shouted for Benjamin to hold on because there were only a few minutes left, but Benjamin tried to shake it like crazy, but it only wore him down! He went down to a knee but got one last burst of adrenaline and rushed to the ropes, catching Collyer’s neck on the top! Collyer snapped back, and Benjamin HIT THE PAYDIRT! ONE … TWO … THRE – COLLYER KICKED OUT! Benjamin quickly yanked him up and tried his T-Bone Suplex, but Collyer grappled behind and tried his Everest German, but Shelton grabbed the ropes! They kept going back and forth trying to get their finishers, BUT BUZZ~!~!~!
Time limit draw (15:00)

Both guys sunk to the mat in exhaustion. Eventually they got up and looked really frustrated, but shook hands anyway.

Dark Match: Abyss won a bonus “Halloween Battle Royal” that also included Shark Boy, Curry Man, Suicide, Tatanka, the Yeti, Rellik (“KILLER BACKWARDS!”), and Bob Backlund dressed up as an astronaut.

Steiner was in the ring at the start of the show. First he congratulated Richard Blumenthal on becoming the next Senator from Connecticut, and then he announced a 10-man tag in the main event: Joe/Styles/Christian/Angle/Tomko vs Daniels/Roode/Young/Petey/Monty! And now, this match.

Match 1: Brother Devon w/ Brother Ray vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards & JBL
Devon is fat, but for some reason the crowd likes him, so whatever. Burke only ever got offense in when he cheated, so that’s gay. Burke took a cheap shot at Ray on the outside, but then turned into a big powerslam from Devon. Ray climbed into the ring and wanted the 3D, but the ref forced him out of the ring, which was entirely fair. With the ref’s attention on Brother Ray, JBL grabbed Devon’s leg, and Davey came in and killed him with a shoot kick to the skull. Devon sunk into the corner, and Burke hit the Elijah Express and got the ref’s attention to get the win.
Winner via pinfall: Elijah Burke (6:42)

Bailout and JBL celebrated in the ring until Team 3D ran them off.

--Commercial Break--

X-Division Chancellor Kevin Nash came down to ringside for the match.

Match 2: Roderick Strong vs Sean Waltman w/ The James Gang [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Waltman toyed with Roderick, which was a bad idea. Roddy raged with big punches and then started to kill Waltman’s back, so he continuously bailed to the outside to find aid in the James Gang. This was all Strong offense until Waltman snuck in a low blow and started to use huge amounts of cheating to keep Strong contained. He wore over his neck some, but it was all really lazy and whatnot. He tried the Pedigree, but Strong body dropped out! He got some good momentum, AND HIT A TILT-A-WHIRL BACKBREAKER! ONE … TWO … THRE – Waltman JUST got an arm up! Roddy tried to lock in the Stronghold, but Waltman rolled him up with a handful of tights, and BG gave him a leverage advantage from the outside! ONE … TWO … THRE – Strong kicked out! Waltman tried the Syxx-Factor, but Strong shoved away and caught him back with a POWERBOMB BACKBREAKER! ONE … TWO … THRE – Kip put Waltman’s foot on the bottom rope! Collyer was pissed, but he stayed focused. He picked Waltman up AND HE HIT THE STRONG BACKBREAKER! But both of the James brothers hopped up on the apron! Strong covered and clearly had the win, but the ref was busy with BG and Kip! Strong got up and clotheslined them both off! He turned around and Waltman tried a kick to the groin, but Strong caught his leg, lifted him up, AND HIT THE DEATH BY RODERICK! ONE … TWO … THRE – BUZZZZZZ!!
Time limit draw (7:12)

Everybody looked confused, but Nash said from ringside that this match had a 7:12 time limit, and so this is a draw. But only one guy can go through, so they will refer to Backlund Rules to determine the winner. According to regulation, the person who’s last name comes first in reverse alphabetical order advances, so that’s Sean Waltman. Strong was shocked in the ring, and he turned right around into a kick to the groin from Waltman.

--Commercial Break--

Nash was still at ringside.

Match 3: Jimmy Jacobs vs Viktor Koslov [X-Division #1 Contenders Tournament]
Basic back-and-forth match, with no shenanigans from Nash. Koslov tried the Russian Elbow, but Jacobs moved and hit a big Spear from the corner! He went up top and nailed the Flying Back Senton to win.
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (6:54)

Jacobs celebrated in the ring, but Waltman snuck down and hit him with a low blow! Jacobs doubled over, and Waltman hit the Pedigree! Nash hyped up Jacobs vs Waltman at Turning Point.

--Commercial Break--

Scott Steiner found Roderick Strong backstage, and said that he was clearly screwed over. He told him to stick around though, because he has an idea to make it up for him.

Sean Hernandez went up to Chuck Taylor and said he accepted Chuck’s challenge because he likes winning, but he warned him not to get on his bad side like Homicide and Low Ki did.

Samoa Joe was walking backstage, AND THE ENLIGHTENED (minus Daniels) SNUCK UP AND ATTACKED HIM FROM BEHIND! Rave smashed his head in with a chair, and then they fled away. Officials ran over to check on him, but by then the Enlightened were gone.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T and Jay Lethal came out to watch from ringside.

Match 4: World’s Greatest Tag Team vs Jihad
Basic showcase for the superior team, and WGTT hit their Superkick/German Suplex combination to pin Dutt.
Winners via pinfall: World’s Greatest Tag Team (3:49)

WGTT celebrated in the ring, and the champions eventually joined them to face off. Scott Steiner came out and said that WGTT is a great tag team, but the last few weeks on Xplosion they’ve both had some trouble putting one guy away. And, coupled with his partner being screwed over this earlier tonight, he’s decided to add Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong to the tag team title match at Turning Point to make it a Triangle Tag Match! Collyer and Strong came out, and all three teams faced off.

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles was talking to an agent (JAMIE NOBLE~) backstage about Joe’s condition, and said that he probably wouldn’t be able to compete tonight.

Match 5: Matt Morgan w/ Abyss vs Kiyoshi w/ Magnus & Schulz
This was largely a squash until Schulz snuck in the ring and took a chokeslam, allowing Kiyoshi to chop block Morgan. He did some leg work, but Morgan came back and hit a big sidewalk slam. He went up top and used his Blueprint Crossbody to get the win.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (4:32)

America’s Most Wanted cut a promo from backstage to hype their match with Dux and Williams.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Koslov was pissed at Kiyoshi for losing again. Kiyoshi pointed out that Koslov lost too, so Koslov smacked him.

Samoa Joe didn’t come out for the match.

Match 6: AJ Styles/Christian Cage/Kurt Angle/Tyson Tomko/Samoa Joe(?) vs Christopher Daniels/Robert Roode/Eric Young/Petey Williams/Monty Brown
What you would expect from a ten (well, nine) man tag match. Everybody saw some action at the start, and that took a bit for everybody to run through their stuff. Williams got rocked when he tried to powerbomb Tomko, who then laid the little guy out with a Lariat that knocked him inside out! All the faces took turns bumping him around, and then Styles continued on an extended amount of momentum. He ended up tossing Petey to the outside and then followed up with the Fosbury Flop! But then Daniels took out Styles with a Fosbury Flop of his own! Cage hit his Triangle Plancha, and then Roode jumped on him off the apron. Angle took Roode out with his Flying Flipping Senton to the outside, and then Young came out with a Suicide Dive. Tomko joined the train with by simply walking around the ring and clubbing because he sucks. THEN MONTY BROWN CLIMBED UP TOP AND TOOK EVERYBODY OUT WITH A HUGE BLACK GUY CROSSBODY BECAUSE HE’S AWESOME!

--Commercial Break--

Angle was being isolated for a bit, but he hit Young with his Flying Forearm to get free and make the hot tag to Styles! He cleaned house, and then Tomko joined him and they hit Petey with their Tornado-Plex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode dove to save! Styles took it to him, and then topped it off with a Rack Bomb, then tagged in Cage! He came in on fire and bounced Williams around, but when he tried the Unprettier, Petey slipped through and tagged in Monty, who LEVELED Christian with a Flying Shoulderblock! Christian got isolated for a bit, and when Tomko broke up a pin after a Northern Lariat, all hell broke loose. In the end, Christian had Daniels alone in the ring and he swung out of the Last Rites and hit his Falling Reverse DDT! He crawled over and looked for a tag, but nobody was there! BUT SAMOA JOE RAN DOWN FUCK YEAH! His head was taped up but he was there nonetheless! HOT TAG TO JOE! He came in and RAAAGED on Daniels! I’m talking murder here. Daniels kept trying to escape, but Joe kept bringing him back in and killing him, not even worrying about a pinfall. They brawled wildly, and eventually Styles tagged in and tried to get Joe help him make a pin, but Joe shoved Styles off and kept beating on Daniels! Roode made a blind tag, and stalked it out in the corner. Styles tried to punch at Daniels, but Joe PUNCHED STYLES TO GET HIM OFF! Styles pulled Joe off and shouted at him, SO JOE HEADBUTTED STYLES! MUSCLE BUSTERRRRR~!~! He followed Daniels out of the ring and they brawled up the ramp! In the ring, Roode saw his chance! He picked up a motionless Styles! PAYOFF! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Christopher Daniels/Robert Roode/Eric Young/Petey Williams/Monty Brown (20:03)

WHAT WHAT WHAT! ROBERT ROODE PINNED AJ STYLES! He slid out of the ring, and Young, Petey, and Dux all hugged him on the ramp! Styles got up and was SHOCKED and absolutely IRATE. Angle and Christian tried to calm him down, but he stormed up the ramp and the camera followed him, and he found Daniels and Joe brawling in the back, and Styles joined in the fight!

Back in the arena, Team Canada was still celebrating, but AMW ran down and punched them back down the ramp, to where Angle and Cage were waiting! Monty and Tomko couldn’t give a shit, so they left. AMW/Cage/Angle brawled with Team Canada in the ring, and the camera showed half that, and half of the Styles/Daniels/Joe brawl to close the show.

Tonight’s match event: Sean Waltman/The James Gang vs Jimmy Jacobs/Roderick Strong/Ritchie Steamboat!

Match 1: Eddie Edwards vs Sonjay Dutt w/ Bashir & Saeed
This got solid time for a back-and-forth. A lot of spots going on, but Edwards got some good momentum after a well-placed side kick to the temple. He bumped Sonjay around for a bit, but after a distraction from Bashir, Dutt got of a springboard hurricanrana! ONE … TWO … THR – Edwards kicked out! Dutt waited for him to get up and tried the Sonjay Cutter, but Edwards countered with a belly-to-back suplex! He ran off the ropes and hit a Lionsault, yet to be given another name due to his uncertain future with the company! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Eddie Edwards (6:12)

Edwards celebrated in the ring, but Dutt and Bashir attacked! Brandon Bonham ran down to make the save, and helped clear them out.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Sean Hernandez vs Jerome Robinson
Robinson came RIGHT at him with some quick jabs, but he was stupid and whipped him across the ropes, and Hernandez came back with a big Spear. He pulled him up and hit the Border Toss, and got the pin.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (81 – 0) (0:43)

Hernandez celebrated in the ring.

Chuck Taylor was watching from backstage, and he looked nervous. Taz and Nash hyped Hernandez/Taylor for Impact in 5 days.

Bailout was in the back with JBL, and JBL went on a tirade against garbage wrestling that Team 3D represents. Burke said that he and Davey were going to take out two other garbage wrestlers tonight, and then take out Team 3D tomorrow.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped WGTT promo played. They said that being in TNA has reminded them that tag teams do matter, and winning the tag team titles will reassure them that they’re the greatest ever.

Match 3: Shane Sewell vs Brutus Magnus w/ Kiyoshi
Magnus jumped him at the bell, and cut him off by distracting the ref and letting Kiyoshi take cheap shots. Sewell finally got an extended come back with his white lucha, but Magnus snapped him with the Italian Stallion Kick to win.
Winner via pinfall: Brutus Magnus (5:44)

Magnus and Kiyoshi celebrated in the ring.

A pre-taped promo between Christian and Angle played, and Angle said that Young and Roode had no idea what was coming for them on Sunday. CC then stopped and said that nobody knows what’s coming on Sunday.

--Commercial Break--

Burke now carried with him a pimp cane, because he is awesome.

Match 4: Al Snow/Stevie Richards vs Bailout w/ JBL
Now these guys can make their car payments. Stevie got isolated, and then Snow made a hot tag. JBL distracted the ref and Davey snuck in and tried a cheap shoot kick, but Snow ducked and dumped him to the outside! Stevie tossed Head to Snow, AND AL SNOW HIT BURKE WITH A BOOM! HEADSHOT~!~!~!~! ONE … TWO … THRE – Burke kicked out! Snow pulled him up and tried the Snow Plow, but Burke ducked over and tossed him into the ropes, where Davey hit an enzuigiri through the ropes! Snow stumbled back right into the Bankrupt Bomb, and Davey cut off Stevie as Burke covered! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Bailout (6:02)

JBL got on the mic and said that Bailout just ruined these garbage wrestlers, and they’d do the same to Team 3D at Turning Point.

A big Styles/Joe/Daniels hype package played.

--Commercial Break--

Clips of the X-Division Tournament played highlighting how Jacobs and Waltman got to the finals. It also touched on how Waltman screwed over Strong and Steamboat along the way, and now they’re in the tag match with Jacobs tonight. At commentary, Nash objected to those guys being “screwed over,” saying that Waltman earned his way to the finals and he’s going to earn his way to the X-Title.

Match 5: Sean Waltman/The James Gang vs Jimmy Jacobs/Roderick Strong/Ritchie Steamboat
Waltman refused to get in, so it was basically the younger guys taking turns beating up the James Gang. Steamboat eventually got caught up after a distraction from Waltman on the apron, and he was isolated. Once thoroughly beaten down, Waltman joined in and wore him out some. He tried a low blow, but Steamboat caught his arm and threw him off with an arm drag! He got some good momentum, and hit a dropkick off the second-rope! Hot tag to Strong! He came in and bounced Waltman in for a while, and then Jacobs got in to do the same! All three babyfaces took turns bumping him around, but when Jacobs tried the Detroit Code, Waltman pushed him away and tagged in Kip. He came right in and tried the Fameasser, but Jacobs ducked away, ran off the ropes, AND CAME OFF WITH A SPEAR! He went up top, but BG shoved him down! Steamboat climbed in the ring and ran across to tackle BG off the apron! Waltman started to get in the ring, but when Roddy grabbed him for the Strong Backbreaker, Waltman elbowed away and jumped to the outside. Alone in the ring, Jacobs hit Kip with the Detroit Code, and then connected with the Flying Back Senton! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs/Roderick Strong/Ritchie Steamboat (8:13)

The faces celebrated in the ring after the match. Nash got up from commentary and mockingly clapped for Jacobs. The distraction allowed Waltman to sneak in and got Jacobs with a low blow, and then hit the Syxx Factor! He ducked out of the ring and celebrated up the ramp.

A bunch of hype footage for Turning Point tomorrow night played.

Mike Tenay, Jim Cornette, and Taz were on commentary again, implying that they’re the official PPV announce squad.

They talked a good deal about the USA vs Canada feud, but how it really started with AMW and Dux, but how Petey eventually joined Team Canada by turning on AMW.

Match 1: America’s Most Wanted vs Petey Williams/Tyson Dux
Basic formula, but some good AMW offense got the crowd going. Dux got chucked to the outside twice, once by a fallaway slam and once by a vertical suplex, so that was cool. Petey tried to use his strength to take on AMW, but lol. Storm ran through Petey, but Dux grabbed Storm’s leg, and he ate the POLISH HAMMER~! Team Canada isolated him for a bit, but he came back after catching Dux off the ropes and hitting a sitout powerbomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Dux kicked out! Storm tried the Eight Second Ride, but Petey spun through and countered with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors! He tried to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Storm powered him away and tagged in Harris! Normal hot tag, and he topped it off with a Half Nelson Slam to Dux! ONE … TWO … THRE – Petey broke it up! Storm rushed the ring and brought it to Petey with big punches, then clotheslined him out of the ring, and followed up with a STORM PLANCHA~! In the ring, Dux tried to grab Harris’ legs to force him to the mat, but Harris lifted him right up and turned it into the Catatonic! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: America’s Most Wanted (7:54)

Storm and Harris celebrated in the ring.

Jimmy Jacobs was in the back, and he said that he’s gone through Scott Lost, TJ Perkins, and Viktor Koslov, and Sean Waltman is worse than all of them. He guaranteed a win tonight, and then promised that he was going to do what his good friend couldn’t: beat Alex Shelley for the X-Division Championship.

Backstage, Scott Steiner announced that he had signed Monty Brown vs Abyss for the TV Title earlier in the day.

Burke, Richards, and Bradshaw came out and talked themselves up. JBL specifically called Team 3D garbage wrestlers, and that drew out the Dudz.

Match 2: Team 3D vs Bailout w/ JBL
Team 3D started right off with a bunch of fire, but Bailout slowed it down after a stiff Davey kick spun Ray right into some jabs from Burke, which spun him into a nasty rapid roundhouse from Davey! They beat Dudley White down for a bit, but he made his comeback after moving out of the way of the Elijah Express and hitting the BIONIC ELBOW BABEH~! He hit a belly-to-back suplex and made the hot tag to Devon, who came in with good black man fire. They tossed Burke to the outside and tried the Whassup Headbutt to Burke, but JBL pushed Devon off the top! The ref, suspicious of Devon randomly falling, SENT JBL TO THE BACK! Team 3D got pumped up and they called for the end! They tried the 3D on Burke, but Davey dove to take Ray out, and it turned into just a flapjack. Davey tried a Bankrupt Driver on Devon, but he powered away and HIT THE SAVING GRACE OH TESTIFY~! Burke stumbled to his feet, and Ray hit the Bubba Bomb! Devon came in and they wanted it~! 3D!!! ONE … TWO … THRE – DAVEY BROKE IT UP WITH A CHAIR SHOT!
Winners via disqualification: Team 3D (5:20)

Scott Steiner came out and told Bailout, you want weapons? You got weapons. He restarted the match under HARDCORE~ rules.

Match 2.5: Team 3D vs Bailout
Davey was all flustered, and he turned into a big lariat from Devon! Burke attacked from behind, but then turned into a chair shot from Ray! It went back and forth for a bit, until Team 3D got some momentum and tossed Burke to the outside and hit Davey with the Whassup Headbutt! They both got up, and Ray got that look on his eyes. DEVON, GET THE TABLES~! The black man obliged to the white man’s wishes, and he brought in a table! They whipped Davey across, but Burke grabbed him from the floor and pulled him to safety. Both Dudleys followed them out, but Ray was immediately tackled into the ring steps! Devon charged at Burke with a clothesline, but then turned around into Flying Kick from Davey off the apron! He rolled him into the ring and tried a DDT, but Devon shoved him off and went for a powerbomb, but Davey rolled through and landed on the outside side. He quickly picked up the steel chair, and NAILED Devon across the skull! Burke rolled into the ring and they pulled Devon up AND PUT HIM THROUGH THE TABLE WITH THE BANKRUPTCY! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Bailout (5:43)

Bailout celebrated in the ring, and JBL came out to celebrated with them on the ramp.

Samoa Joe arrived in the back,

Commentary was talking about the show so far, and Taz and Cornette were arguing over the legitimacy of hardcore wrestling – BUT WE CUT BACKSTAGE FOR BREAKING NEWS!

Christian Cage was found laid out in the back, bloodied up! Steiner ran over and asked what the hell happened, but none of the stagehands knew. He was pissed off, knowing that his headlining tag team match was in peril. He shouted for some medical guys to come over and help Christian, and he stormed off.

Commentary reacted to Christian being taken out, but said that the show had to go on, and then sent us to a video package.

Highlights of the X-Division #1 contender’s tournament played, highlighting Jacobs’ desire to get at Shelley and Waltman’s constant cheating to scrape through.

Match 3: Jimmy Jacobs vs Sean Waltman [X-Division #1 Contender’s Match]
Jacobs got a great head of steam and really bumped Waltman around big, trying to end it several times when he could. Whenever Waltman got so much as a headlock, Jacobs threw everything out to break away, determined not to get caught up in Waltman’s slow, plodding offense. Eventually, since Jacobs was throwing out all his stuff at the start, he ran out of unique moves that he had mastered, and when he tried a second Springboard Dropkick, Waltman moved and came off the ropes with a Wheel Kick! He FINALLY started to wear Jacobs down, and he cheated whenever he could to keep that up. Jacobs fought out of an abdominal stretch and threw some wild elbows, so Waltman poked him in the eye and tossed him into the corner. He charged, but Jacobs got a boot up and ran out of the corner with a Spear! ONE … TWO … THRE – Waltman kicked out! Jacobs continued on his momentum, but Kevin Nash ran out! Jacobs shouted at him to the outside, and then turned around into a kick to the groin and a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Waltman pulled him and tried the Pedigree but Jacobs shoved away. He bounced off the ropes, but when he came back, Waltman ducked, Jacobs continued running over, AND HE TOOK OUT NASH ON THE OUTSIDE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! He stumbled up and rolled back into the ring, RIGHT INTO THE SYXX-FACTOR! ONE … TWO … THRE – Jacobs got his foot on the bottom rope! Waltman couldn’t believe it! He tried another, but Jacobs held onto the ropes! Waltman got up, AND JACOBS GRABBED HIM AND HIT THE DETROIT CODE! He went to cover, but Nash hopped up on the apron to distract the ref. Jacobs got up and was furious. He ran over, grabbed Nash by the neck, ran up the turnbuckle on the inside, AND LEAPT OVER TO THE OUTSIDE TO HIT NASH WITH THE DETROIT CODE FROM THE APRON TO THE FLOOR BELOW HOLY SHIT! He held at his back as he climbed back into the ring, and Waltman tried another Pedigree, but Jacobs body dropped away and came off the ropes with another Spear! He went up top! FLYING BACK SENTON!! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (8:48)

Jacobs got up and celebrated big, and motioned for the title. Waltman and Nash got up, and they were both pissed.

Backstage, Scott Steiner found Kurt Angle, who was visibly upset. Steiner started to tell about him Christian, but Angle said he had already heard. Steiner said he was considering rescheduling the match, but Angle insisted that it go on, and said he could take both guys on at once.

Christopher Daniels had just finished praying with his robe on, and he threw off the hood and took a big breath. Lauren ran up and asked for a word, and Daniels said that all he had to say that this could very well be his last chance ever, and he walked off.

Hype for the tag team title match played, and how it got here. Taz sounded like he was going to have an orgasm talking about this match.

Match 4: Booker T/Jay Lethal[c] vs The World’s Greatest Tag Team vs Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Two guys in a time. Lots of fun mat work between several combinations, and when Haas and Benjamin worked tandem to isolated Collyer, they really went after the leg that they both had worked on the last couple weeks on Xplosion. He almost made a hot tag, but he was closer to the champs, and he hesitated, so Benjamin pulled him back and WGTT isolated him further. He finally shook off from the Haas of Pain and blocked a German Suplex from Haas, AND HE HIT THE GARGOYLE SUPLEX! HOT TAG TO STRONG! Backbreakers for everybody, and soon shit broke down and everybody just got solid action in and the IWC fapped. Lethal tried the Lethal Combination on Benjamin, BUT HE COUNTERED WITH THE PAYDIRT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Letal kicked out! Haas came in illegally, so Booker rushed the ring, but Haas tossed him to the outside and followed up with a plancha to Book! Collyer and Strong hopped off the apron and those four brawled on the outside. In the ring, Benjamin tried a T-Bone Suplex, but Lethal hit the LETHAL COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelton got his foot on the rope! During the brawl on the outside, Haas snuck in the ring and WGTT did their leapfrog guillotine! Haas ran for a clothesline, but Lethal ducked AND HAAS HIT BENJAMIN! Lethal got some good fire, but he eventually got NAILED by an undetected running elbow from Haas! Lethal stumbled to his feet, RIGHT INTO THE SUPERKICK/GERMAN SUPLEX COMBINATION FROM WGTT! ONE … TWO … THRE – COLLYER DOVE TO SAVE! Haas and Benjamin pounced on him and tried a double suplex, but he floated over and came off the ropes with a double flying clothesline! He got some good steam, and Strong rolled in to join him, AND THEY HIT HAAS WITH THE BELLY-TO-BELLY/BACKBREAKER COMBINATION! ONE … TWO … THRE – BOOKER T JUST BROKE IT UP! Booker elbowed at Strong, but Collyer grabbed him from behind and hit a big German Suplex! But he turned around into a DOUBLE SUPERKICK from WGTT! They pulled up Strong and went for the leapfrog guillotine, but Lethal intercepted Benjamin with a Flying Missile Dropkick! And then Strong used a headscissors to take Haas to the outside! Strong turned around right into an enzuigiri from Lethal that sent him spinning into the BOOK END! Lethal climbed up top AND HIT THE LETHAL ELBOW! Booker T stood guard as Lethal covered! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Booker T/Jay Lethal (15:46)

Lethal and Booker T got up and celebrated with their belts. Strong got up and offered his hand to the champs, and they accepted. Collyer got in and did the same, and eventually WGTT did the same.

Robert Roode and Eric Young were in the back. They denied having anything to do with Christian being taken out, and said it was probably a nervous AJ, jealous Tomko, or demented Angle. EY reminded everybody that he pinned Angle already at BFG, and now with Roode at his side, it would be even easier. Roode gloated that he pinned AJ Styles this past Impact, and would challenge whoever walks out TNA Champion after he beats Angle here tonight.

SURPRISE MATCH!

Match 5: Monty Brown[c] vs Abyss w/ Matt Morgan [TNA Television Championship]
Lots of power-offs. Monty actually got taken off his feet fairly early after a trip up from Morgan let Abyss hit a sloppy-as-hell German Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Monty kicked out! Abyss kept on him, and this was actually done with Monty as the face and Abyss as the monster. They built to Abyss falling over, and when Monty pulled out his top-rope Diving Shoulderblock to do it, it actually got a pop. He got on a roll bumping Abyss around, and then topped it off with his Lariat! ONE … TWO … THRE – Abyss kicked out! Monty tried the Alpha Bomb, but Abyss powered out and got him up for the Shock Treatment! ONE … TWO … THRE – Monty got an arm up! Abyss pulled him up and tried the Black Hole Slam, but Monty came back to the middle and reverse the whip AND CAME OFF THE ROPES WITH THE POUNCE~~~~~~! PERIOD! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (6:56)

Monty Brown celebrated in the ring.

AJ Styles was shining his TNA Championship in the back, and Lauren came up and asked for a word. AJ said it felt great to be world champion again, and said that tonight would be a repeat of Bound For Glory.

Christian Cage still didn’t come out for his match.

Match 6: Robert Roode/Eric Young vs Kurt Angle
Angle got beat around really well, despite putting up a really good fight. He played it just as one should in a handicap match. He generally avoided going to the outside, stayed away from their corner, and tried not to expend himself too much. When Angle finally started to get isolated, it was really cocky work by Team Canada, but their numbers advantage kept them in control anyway. After shutting down several of his comebacks, CHRISTIAN CAGE RAN OUT, with a bandage on his head, still in his t-shirt and slacks like he had when he first arrived. Didn’t matter though, because he was officially in the match anyway and he stood in the corner! Roode and Young continued their good heeling, and Angle fought off the fatigue for a final comeback and went all out with it, using the Triple Germans, two big belly-to-bellys, and the FLYING FOREARM! HOT TAG TO CHRISTIAN, YES! THE CROWD WENT NUTS. CHRISTIAN SLAPPED HIS CHEST. CHRISTIAN STRUTTED, BABY. CHRISTIAN TURNED … AND PUNCHED ANGLE WHAT NO! It was all a lie! They triple team him, and Angle was FULL of rage to take them all on in a HUGE fury, but it only last a few seconds before they took him down. Cage laid him out with the Unprettier, and then Roode pulled him up and hit the Payoff! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Eric Young (15:44)

Roode, Young, and Christian kept stomping away at Angle, and the younger guys pulled him up for Christian to hit another Unprettier! They posed over him as the crowd booed like nuts.

Commentary reacted to the swerve.

Backstage, Cage, Roode, Young, Petey, and Dux were celebrating. Lauren came up and asked Christian, WHY?! Christian put on his cocky smile and told her, “If you didn’t know in 2000. If you didn’t know in 2002. If you didn’t know from 2004 – 2006. Now. You. Know.†He walked off, and Roode turned to Lauren and said that Team Canada was about to reach it’s full potential.

A big video package played, mainly hyping each guy rather than the feud, though it did go over some basic stuff since BFG until now.

Match 7: AJ Styles[c] vs Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels
Longer match, more spots, less of a story. The underlying thing here was the growing heat between Joe and Daniels, and Styles along for the ride. At this point, Styles had already pinned Joe at BFG, and so he was fine with pinning either guy to retain, unlike last month. Anyway, Joe and Daniels eventually started killing each other on the outside, and after Joe laid Daniels out on the outside with a powerbomb on the floor, he rolled in, but walked right into a RACK BOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE – Joe kicked out! Styles pulled him up and tried the Styles Clash, but Joe body dropped away! He tried the Coquina Clutch, but Styles elbowed away and ran off for the Phenomenal DDT, but Joe caught him midair with a Samoa Drop! Styles staggered to his feet, and Joe hit the German/Dragon/X-Plex Combination! ONE … TWO … THRE – STYLES KICKED OUT! Joe pulled him up and tried the Muscle Buster, but Styles floated over and hit the Pele Kick! Joe staggered, and STYLES HIT THE PHENOMENAL DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – JOE KICKED OUT! Styles went up top AND HIT THE SPIRAL TA – NO! JOE MOVED! Styles held at his ribs as he got up, AND JOE HIT THE MUSCLE BUSTER! ONE … TWO … THRE – DANIELS DOVE TO SAVE! Joe got up, but Daniels gouged his eyes and tossed him to the outside! He covered AJ! ONE … TWO … THRE – STYLES KICKED OUT! Daniels pulled him up and tried the Angel’s Wings, BUT STYLES COUNTERED WITH THE PINNING COMBO THAT WON HIM THE UNBREAKABLE 2005 MATCH! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall and STILL TNA WORLD CHAMPION: AJ Styles (20:10)

AJ Styles celebrated in the ring. Daniels got up and was pissed, and then an IRATE Joe came in and pounded him into the ring. Styles watched on as they brawled out of the ring and up the ramp, but then just celebrated with his title to close the show.

TNA Impact: When A Plan Comes Together
Impact Zone
Orlando, Florida
November 11, 2010

The show started with a Veteran’s Day tribute, then transitioned into the opening intro.

Robert Roode, Christian Cage, Eric Young, Petey Williams, and Tyson Dux call came down to the ring under the unified banner of “Team Canada.†Young spoke first, and he said that when he decided to put Team Canada back together, he never imagined that it would reach this level of power. He said that he feels that he’s done such an honor to Canadian greats like The Harts, Killer Kowalski, Ronnie Garvin, *cough*Chris Benoit*cough*, Player Uno, John Tenta, Earthquake, The Shark, The Quebecers, Pat Patterson and his hunky boyfriend Slyvan Grenier, Rick Martel, and all of the other legends that came from the best country in the world. He said that adding Roode and now Cage to the stable has put them at an unstoppable level. Christian got on the stick and worked the crowd over like he does. He said that Robert Roode impressed him against both Danielson and Angle, and he had to be on the right side of history by finding the best young stars in the businesses. Robert Roode then got on the mic and said that with Team Canada beside him, the sky is the limit. He put over his stablemates, and added that he has taken the liberty to name Monty Brown the official enforcer of Team Canada, despite his … less than average heritage. Roode then went on to talk about how he pinned Kurt Angle last night, and, more important, he pinned AJ Styles last week. As such, he demanded a TNA World Championship match. He kept going, BUT KURT ANGLE~ ran down! He rushed the ring and tried to punch at everybody, but he fell victim to the numbers game.

Team Canada beat him down, but Scott Steiner came out and told them to cut it out, or risk suspensions. Steiner then announced that Robert Roode would be facing Kurt Angle one-on-one next week, in a #1 Contender’s Match! Angle and Roode both looked pleased. Steiner then booked Christian Cage vs James Storm in tonight’s main event.

Commentary reacted to the news and ran down the card: Daniels vs Steamboat, Bailout vs Raven/Sabu, AJ Styles vs Shelton Benjamin, and now Christian Cage vs James Storm.

--Commercial Break--

Match 1: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong vs Jihad w/ Raisha Saeed
Collyer and Strong debuted some nice tandem tag team moves, including seeming to have picked up the Guillotine Leapfrog from WGTT. Jihad had Strong isolated for a bit after some interference from Saeed, but he ducked under a double clothesline and took them both out with a double STO! He made the hot tag, and both guys cleaned house, and pinned Bashir after their Belly-to-Belly/Backbreaker Combination! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via submission: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (3:24)

Collyer and Strong celebrated in the ring, and commentary put over how close they were to winning the tag titles last week.

Christian Cage was in the back explaining that he turned on Kurt Angle because he’s an ignorant American who is a hypocrite when it comes to complaining about cheating and being a dick. He called Eric Young and Robert Roode the future of the industry. He kept going on, BUT KURT ANGLE RAN OVER AND ATTACKED. They brawled until security split them up, and Steiner instructed Angle to leave the arena so as to not ruin his main event.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Christopher Daniels vs Ritchie Steamboat
Daniels was piiiiiissed and he killed Steamboat for it. Just absolute murder, drawn out for a few minutes. He tried to end it with the Angel’s Wings, BUT STEAMBOAT COUNTERED WITH THE COMBO THAT AJ USED TO WIN ON SUNDAY! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels JUST kicked out! They both got up and Daniels tried a wild lariat, but Steamboat ducked and got off an arm drag! He got one some really good steam and started bumping Daniels around, and clothesline him to the outside and followed up with a Plancha! He rolled him back inside and went up top for his Flying Crossbody, but Daniels ducked and connected with the Last Rites! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (6:29)

Daniels celebrated in the ring, BUT SAMOA JOE RAN DOWN AND TACKLED HIM TO THE MAT! He beat the shit out of him for costing him the World Title on Sunday, but eventually the rest of the Enlightened ran down to make the save. They pulled Joe off, and eventually Daniels hit him with the Angel’s Wings, and the stable celebrated to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Roode went to Monty Brown. He said that pulled some strings among the guys in Team Canada, and Monty was officially the enforcer of the group. Monty said he’d rather kick everybody’s ass than guard some punk ass Canadians. Roode frowned and said they’ve been together since Monty returned to TNA, and it should stay like that. Roode said that he’s the future of this company, and the best spot for Monty is right beside him.

Jacobs was in the back and he cut a promo about finally earning a shot at Shelley’s title, and how he’s going to make use of it and end the reign of terror of his former mentor and friend. Kevin Nash came up and called Jacobs a smudge on the beautiful X-Division, and said that he’d be rooting for Shelley.

Match 3: Raven/Sabu vs Bailout w/ JBL
Wild brawling by the extremists, but Sabu botched something and got isolated for a bit. Davey beat the shit out of him, and Burke did some good stretching out and taunting. He eventually got them both with an Asai Moonsault and made the hot tag, and Raven came in LIKE A HOUSE OF FIRE~! He hit a double bulldog, but when he tried the Even Flow DDT on Burke, Davey leveled him with a Mafia Kick! He ran over and tackled Sabu to the outside as Burke got Raven with the Bankrupt Bomb! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Bailout (6:23)

Bailout said that they had taken out the spot monkeys, the illegals, and now the garbage wrestlers, and now they want the tag team titles. Booker T and Jay Lethal came out and said that if one of them can beat Booker next week, they’d have their title shot.

--Commercial Break--

Footage of Monty Brown beating Abyss in an impromptu title match on Sunday played.

Match 4: Monty Brown[c] vs Eddie Edwards [TNA Television Championship]
Squash. Huge strikes, and a POUNCE~~~~~~~~~! Period.
Winner via pinfall and still TNA Television Champion: Monty Brown (2:42)

Abyss came out and asked for another title shot, and Monty said sure.

Chuck Taylor was in the back, and MICK FOLEY~ came up. He told Chuckie to go out there, try his best, and don’t get hurt. Taylor said he was looking for something a bit more positive, and Foley said that he knows better than anybody, if you can survive getting beaten to a pulp, then you’re in the best position to surprise your opponent with a win.

--Commercial Break--

AJ Styles was backstage with his World Championship, and Lauren asked him if he’s concerned about the rise of Team Canada. Styles said that Team Canada did cause problems for him when he was competing in the X-Division, but that he’s grown a lot since then, so he’s not worried about it too much. He added that wasn’t concerned about Angle either because, even though Angle ended his last title reign, this time he doesn’t have goonies to prop him up.

Commentary talked some of Hernandez’ undefeated streak, and his recent violent streak that was revealed with his brutal match with Homicide at BFG.

Match 5: Sean Hernandez vs Chuck Taylor
Taylor did a good job of avoiding Hernandez at all costs, though he never left the ring, just jumped around to escape stuff. Hernandez eventually got pissed with it and went for a Spear, but Taylor jumped, Hernandez hit the post, AND CHUCK GOT A ROLL UP! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! Hernandez JUST kicked out! Hernandez looked to make sure it was only a two-count, and then he raged. He kept running after Chuck, who continued to use pinning combinations to get nearfalls! After almost wining from a small package, Taylor tried the Twist of Fate, but Hernandez shoved him off AND HIT A SPEAR! ONE … TWO … THRE – Hernandez lifted Taylor’s shoulder up and got an evil look on his face. He started just destroying Taylor’s midsection, and it went on for a while, and was really brutal. After Taylor countered a powerbomb into a sunset flip for a long 2-count, Hernandez opted to end it, and he flattened him with the Spear and then threw him with Border Toss to get the three.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (82 – 0) (4:12)

Taylor rolled around the mat holding his ribs, and the ref had some medical guys come down to help him. Hernandez just stared, and eventually grinned, then left.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary said that this was WGTT’s last night in TNA, and Benjamin wanted a match with AJ, and AJ accepted, so yeah.

Match 6: AJ Styles vs Shelton Benjamin w/ Charlie Haas [Non-Title]
Lots of mat work at the start, but Benjamin started to up it with minor suplexes. Styles returned in kind, and it grew in intensity until Styles got off a shoulder breaker! He went after Benjamin’s arm like crazy, but eventually Benjamin shook him off and used a running back elbow to send AJ into the corner. It hurt his arm, so he took a second to shake it off. He ran at AJ for a Stinger Splash, but the champion moved and Benjamin crashed into the corner! Styles ran to the corner and came off with the Phenomenal DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Shelton kicked out! Styles pulled him up and tried the Styles Clash, but Benjamin pulled him down with a headscissors, and then caught him off the ropes with a belly-to-belly, then sent Styles sliding to the outside! Benjamin tried a Plancha to follow up, but Styles moved and ran back into the ring! Shelton slowly got up, AND STYLES TOOK HIM OUT WITH THE FOSBURY FLOP!

--Commercial Break--

Styles was bumping Shelton around in the ring, going back to the arm to shut down his comebacks. Benjamin managed to duck the Discus Clothesline and got off a big superkick! Both guys hit the mat, and eventually wrestled back up to a standing position, where Benjamin sent AJ across the ropes and hit a Samoan Drop! ONE … TWO … TH – Styles kicked out! Benjamin climbed his way up top, but Styles met him there. They traded blows, but Benjamin finally sent him off with a bunch of big right hands. Benjamin climbed down to the apron, and then came in with a Springboard Bulldog! ONE … TWO … THRE – Styles kicked out! Benjamin pulled him up and tried the T-Bone Suplex, but Styles elbowed away and hit the Pele Kick! Styles tried to follow up with a roundhouse, but Shelton caught his leg and countered with a Dragon Whip! Styles staggered to his feet, RIGHT INTO THE PAYDIRT! ONE … TWO … THRE – STYLES KICKED OUT! Benjamin measured him up and attempted a Superkick, but Styles ducked and swept out his leg from underneath! Big roundhouse to Benjamin! STYLES CLASH! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (12:24)

Styles helped Benjamin up, and they shook hands. The champion then celebrated with his title in the ring. He then went to ringside and said he’d like to watch the main event from the booth, and Don West marked out.

AMW was in the back and James Storm cut a promo about how Team Canada has been a stickler in their boots for six months now, and now they’ve gone and made themselves a cutesy little stable. Storm said he was going to beat Christian, send him packing, and show that Team Canada is nothing but a flavor of the month.

--Commercial Break--

Match 7: Christian Cage w/ Team Canada vs James Storm w/ Chris Harris
Christian totally underestimated here, and Storm started out by bumping him around for a good bit. After some Canadian shenanigans, Cage took over with some aggressive leg work. Storm made a few fiery comebacks, but Cage continuously outsmarted him. After putting Storm into the SHARPSHOOTER~, Storm had a big struggled, but finally made it to the ropes. Christian pulled him up and tried the Unprettier, but Storm picked him up from behind and hit a big back suplex! He pulled himself up by the ropes and met Cage with a bunch of big punches, and then a big Running Powerslam! 8 Bulldogs out of 10! He held at his leg but made the cover! ONE … TWO … THR – Cage kicked out! Storm pulled him up and tried the Eye of the Storm, but Cage spun out. He bounced off the ropes and tried a crossbody, but Storm caught him, pulled him up, AND HIT A SITOUT POWERBOMB! ONE … TWO … THRE – CHRISTIAN KICKED OUT! Storm called for the end again, but Petey hopped up on the apron! The ref got distracted, and Petey tried to climb into the ring, but Harris yanked him out. Young did sneak out, but Storm disposed of him with a big Lariat! Storm sent EY to the floor, BUT THEN GOT HIT WITH THE NORTHERN LARIAT! Roode slid out, and Christian pulled Storm up to hit the Unprettier! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Christian Cage (9:22)

Christian celebrated in the ring, and Team Canada joined him. Christian called out AJ Styles, saying the TNA Championship was coming to Team Canada. Styles came out and told him to dream on, and Christian just laughed and said that AJ’s time was running short.

Commentary welcomed us to the show and announced the main event: Jimmy Jacobs/Brandon Bonham/Eddie Edwards vs Viktor Koslov/Jihad!

In the back, Viktor Koslov was with Kiyoshi. He said that Magnus/Schulz better win their match next, then Kiyoshi better win his match, and then of course he’d win the main event.

Match 1: Los Infernales vs Brutus Magnus/Patrick Schulz
Lots of back-and-forth here, and Schulz continued to be established as sort of the enforcer of the Powers. Anyway, the Luchas won with the Spanish Fly after Magnus got tackled to the outside, and Schulz was alone in the ring.
Winners via pinfall: Los Infernales (6:03)

Koslov and Kiyoshi were in the back, and Koslov was pissed. He said that if those guys lost, of course Kiyoshi would lose. Kiyoshi laughed and walked off.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Kiyoshi vs Raven
HUGE strikes by Kiyoshi set Raven back, but he eventually got some good momentum and had a fury of offense. It spilled to the outside, as most Raven matches do, where a Russian Legsweep to the barrier put Raven firmly in control. He continued to run things in the ring, but Kiyoshi caught him off the ropes with a MONGOLIAN CHOP TO THE FACE! CRADLE PILEDRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Kiyoshi (5:43)

Raven got up holding his head and looked impressed. He offered his hand, but Kiyoshi ignored it and returned to the back.

Koslov was watching from the back, and he looked surprised, but happy.

--Commercial Break--

Winner via pinfall: Amazing Red (7:02)

Red celebrated in the ring, and he and Super Crazy shared a handshake.

Jimmy Jacobs was in the back, and he hyped up his title match with Alex Shelley for Final Resolution.

--Commercial Break--

A big video package played going over the history of Team Canada in TNA, and relying on interviews from Lance Storm and Christian Cage about its further history from WCW and WWF.

Footage from Turning Point played of Team Canada forming by the turn on Kurt Angle.

A graphic for Angle vs Roode in a #1 contender’s match on this coming Impact played, and commentary hyped that main event.

--Commercial Break--

Taz and Nash discussed the issues between Bonham/Edwards and Jihad

Match 4: Jimmy Jacobs/Brandon Bonham/Eddie Edwards vs Viktor Koslov/Jihad w/ Raisha Saeed
Two control segments here, with both Bonham and Edwards each getting caught up by heeling shenanigans. Jacobs finally got in to make the big save, and he got a huge run with his hot tag. He tried the Detroit Code on Bashir, but Dutt yanked his legs out, and Bashir scored with a reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Bonham made the save! Dutt springboard in, but Bonham took him out midair with a standing dropkick! Koslov tossed him to the outside, and then caught Edwards charging with a big Calf Kick, and then he baseball slid him to the floor. He turned back to the ring, but Jacobs LEVELLED HIM WITH A SPEAR! ONE … TWO … THRE – Bashir broke it up! He pulled Jacobs up and tried the Roadside Bomb, but Jacobs body dropped away and nailed a big enzuigiri! Commentary welcomed us to the show and ran down some of the card: Monty Brown vs Abyss for the TV Title, Booker T vs Davey Richards, and Robert Roode vs Kurt Angle for the #1 Contendership in the main event.

REMATCH~

Match 1: Monty Brown[c] vs Abyss w/ Matt Morgan [TNA Television Championship]
Lots of clubbering, but when Morgan started interfering, Abyss took over. He’s really fat now. Things spilled to the outside some, and Monty tackled Abyss into the barricade! He rolled Abyss into the ring and went to follow, but Morgan held at his leg. Monty turned and shoved him hard into the announce booth, but when he got back in the ring, he walked right into a CHOKESLAM! ONE … TWO … THRE – Monty kicked out! --Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley made his return by coming out to the Impact Zone. He cut a promo saying that he’s held the X-Title for 11 months now, and he’s beaten everybody from Low Ki to Chris Sabin to, yeah, Jimmy Jacobs. He said he just had the toughest fight in his career at BFG, and now he has to go backwards and fight Jacobs when he should be wrestling guys like Angle, Joe, and Styles for the X-Division Championship. Jacobs came out and they traded words, and then brawled, and Jacobs laid him out with a Spear! Rhino ran out to come to Shelley’s aid, but Jacobs jumped out of the ring. Nash came out and reprimanded Jacobs for interrupting his champion’s return promo, and so as punishment Jacobs would be in a handicap match against Rhino and Sean Waltman … now.

Match 2: Jimmy Jacobs vs Sean Waltman/Rhino
Waltman refused to get in, so Jacobs went through some Rhino beating. Jacobs actually held his own for a bit, but when Waltman got in a cheap kick from the apron, Rhino took over. After being down for a good bit, Waltman tagged in and kept Jacobs contained. Jacobs fought out of a headlock though and used a belly-to-back suplex to break through! Instead of resting though, he had to drag Waltman to his corner and keep him away from Rhino. Jacobs expended all his energy and did a good job bumping Waltman around. He tried the Detroit Code, but Waltman slid down behind and tried to make a tag, but Jacobs caught him and sent him against the ropes AND CAUGHT HIM COMING BACK WITH A SPEAR! ONE … TWO … THR – Rhino pulled him off! Jacobs exploded with elbows, but then turned around into a big roundhouse from Waltman! The ref tried to force Rhino to the corner, and while his attention was there, Waltman kicked Jacobs in the nuts! He tagged in Rhino, who FLOORED Jacobs with a GORE GORE GORE! Waltman cockily tagged back in, pulled up Jacobs body and hit the COMEDOWN! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Sean Waltman/Rhino (6:22)

Waltman celebrated in the ring, and Rhino got in to attack Jacobs. Shelley climbed back into the ring to joined Rhino, and he ended up hitting him with the Shellshock, and raising his title belt.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Petey Williams was summoned by Scott Steiner. They had an awkward stare-down, and Steiner eventually told him that he had booked Petey/Tyson vs AMW for Final Resolution, and Petey said that he’d put AMW out just like the Main Event Mafia never could.

A replay aired of the agreement that if a Bailout guy can beat Booker T, Bailout can have a tag team title match.

Match 3: Booker T w/ Lethal vs Davey Richards w/ Burke & JBL
They went to the mat for a bit, and Booker really stretched Davey out. Davey started to throw big strikes to get off from the mat, but Book was completely fine with meeting him with chops. After he got in a shouting match with JBL, Booker walked into a HUGE running back elbow from Richards, who then took over. He smacked Booker around pretty well, and then started to loosen up his neck. He tried a spinning neckbreaker, but Booker T rolled away and came off the ropes with a big Bicycle Kick! ONE … TWO … THR – Richards kicked out! Booker T measured him up and tried the Axe Kick, but Davey ducked away and hit a falling neckbreaker! ONE … TWO … TH – Booker got an arm up, but Davey pulled it right into an arm-trap headlock! Booker T started to fight it up, but Richards yanked him back with a Side Russian Legsweep! He tried the Bankrupt Driver, but Booker floated over. He came off the ropes and tried another Bicycle Kick, but Davey ducked and exploded with a HUGE uppercut! He climbed up top, but Booker T stopped him, AND GOT HIM WITH A SUPERPLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE – DAVEY KICKED OUT! He tried the Axe Kick again, but Burke tripped him up! He turned to shout, and Lethal ran over and tackled him! Book turned around, RIGHT INTO THE BANKRUPT DRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Davey Richards (7:23)

Richards celebrated in the ring, and Burke and JBL joined them. Booker T went to get up, but Burke pounced on him! Lethal climbed in to make the save, but he got laid out too.

Robert Roode was in the back, and he said that he was Scott D’Amore’s lackey, and then he was James Storm’s lackey, and then Kurt Angle’s, and then Jeff Jarrett’s. He said that now he’s at the head of a stable, and it’s time for him to prove his worth by being the World Champ.

--Commercial Break--

Lauren asked Christian Cage if he considered himself the leader of Team Canada, but Christian said that the leaders were Roode and Young; he’s nearly a support system.

Match 4: Samoa Joe vs Kiyoshi
Kiyoshi EXPLODED with chops and elbows, and Joe was just like, lol, no. He came back with huuuuge elbows, and then went nuts with rapid slaps, and then the German/Tiger/X-Plex Combination! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via submission: Samoa Joe (2:42)

Joe celebrated in the ring, but Daniels and Ravarian ran out! Joe held his own at first, but he eventually fell to the numbers game. They beat him down pretty good… UNTIL HOMICIDE AND LOW KI RAN OUT~!~! They cleared the ring and then helped up Samoa Joe in the ring. They taunted the Enlightened from in the ring, and they were pissed.

--Commercial Break--

Apparently Sean Morley liked the idea of Team Canada, so he requested a tag match with Petey as sort of a “tryout” match to be with the stable.

Match 5: Chris Harris/Chad Collyer vs Petey Williams/Sean Morley
Collyer got isolated here, and Harris played the big man on campus in this match. Williams tried to use his power too much again, and Collyer escaped quickly and tagged in Harris who got a good hot tag. He cleaned house and nailed Williams with the Half Nelson Slam! ONE … TWO … THRE – Petey kicked out! Collyer got back in and used big suplexes, but he got isolated again, and Morley stretched him out some, and then just started punching the shit out of him, nearly getting DQed several times. He eventually tried to lock in the Sharpshooter, but it was really shitty, and Collyer easily got out, tossed him with a German, and tagged in Harris for another hot tag. He cleaned house again, and this time Collyer tackled Petey out of the ring to leave Morley alone to suffer the Catatonic for the three count!
Winners via pinfall: Chris Harris/Chad Collyer (6:30)

Harris and Collyer celebrated in the ring, and Morley looked upset in the corner.

In the back, Kurt Angle cut a promo about how it FEELS SO GOOD TO BE ON MY OWN~! He said that he taught Roode how to be more than an average wrestler, but Roode has no idea what Angle can do. He said he’d beat Roode tonight, and then beat AJ Styles again to become the TNA World Champion for the fourth time.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Viktor Koslov yelled at Kiyoshi for losing again, and he said that Japan is full of epic wrestlers, but he got stuck with a dud.

Match 6: Sean Hernandez vs Jerome Robinson
Skwash.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (1:01) (85 – 0)

Hernandez celebrated in the ring.

Christian was in the back waiting for somebody, and TYSON TOMKO~ walked up. Christian thanked him for coming by, and he hyped up the reuniting Team Canada. Tomko didn’t seem to care, but Christian said that Tomko has always been his enforcer, so he wanted Tomko to be Team Canada’s enforcer. Tomko thought about it … and asked about the pay. Christian smiled, said he had a lot to offer, and the two walked off.

Backstage, Kurt Angle said that he was going to beat Roode tonight for being a prick, and then beat AJ Styles for the TNA Championship, just like he did last time.

--Commercial Break--

Hernandez was in the back, and Chuck Taylor walked up, and his ribs were taped. He asked Hernandez if he really had to beat the shit out of him that much, and Hernandez said that’s what happens when you step in the ring with him.

AJ Styles came down to do commentary for the main event.

All of Team Canada came down with Roode, but before the match, the ref sent them all to the back!

Match 7: Kurt Angle vs Robert Roode [#1 Contenders Match]
A big mat struggle at the top, and after Roode managed to get a little bit of progress, Angle just exploded with amateur tosses. Roode tried to throw some punches, but Angle kept close enough to negate them, and then kept throwing him around even more. After a single belly-to-belly, he tried another, but this time Roode tackled him into the corner and choked and punches. When he finally had Angle contained, he started to work over his neck, but when he tried the Roode Awakening, Angle pulled him over his head and chucked him out of the ring! Angle went to follow him out, but Roode met him right away with a dropkick, folding Angle up and making him fall of the apron and onto the floor! He stumbled to his feet, and Roode scooped him up and rammed him SKULL-FIRST INTO THE RING POST! He quickly rolled him into the ring! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle kicked out! BUT CAN HE SURVIVE?!

--Commercial Break--

Roode continued to beat Angle around the ring, never taking a second to taunt or take a break. Angle finally made a successful comeback after his Flying Forearm, but when he went for the Olympic Slam, Roode held his weight and put Angle into a prawn, the same counter Young did at Bound For Glory! Roode tried a piledriver, but Angle body dropped away! He came off the ropes and tried another Flying Forearm, but this time Roode ducked. Angle got up in a flurry and charged once more, but Roode hit the DOOUBLE R SPINEBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle got an arm up! He yanked him up and tried the Payoff, but Angle shoved away and exploded with a lariat, but Roode ducked, AND ANGLE HIT THE REF! Team Canada sprinted out, laid out Angle quickly, shook the ref to life, yadda yadda. ROODE PINNED ANGLE WITH THE PAYOFF!
Winners via pinfall and new #1 Contender: Robert Roode (14:28)

Robert Roode went to his knees and celebrated like crazy. AJ Styles stood up from the announce booth and held up his title, and Roode just smiled … then told his stablemates to get him! Young, Dux, and Williams all rushed over and grabbed Styles from the booth! They started beating down at him right there at the announce table! They dragged him into the ring, and everybody started to beat him down! But Kurt Angle was up and started to fight off Team Canada! Collyer, Strong, and AMW ran down to help fight Team Canada! HUGE BRAWL~! Everybody got laid out, and Champion AJ Styles was left standing over all the downed bodies – NO! NORTHERN LARIAT TO AJ STYLES! They went to the mat at the start, but when Kenny started throwing cheap punches, Steamboat kept him kept him tight in a headlock. --Commercial Break--

Match 2: Averno with Mephisto vs Patrick Schulz with The Axis Powers
Schulz jumped at the bell and immediately went after the leg, but before long Averno kicked him away and caught him with a KIP UP FRANKENSTEINER! ONE … TWO … THRE – Schulz kicked out! Averno kept on some good momentum, but when he missed a Moonsault and landed awkwardly on his knee, Schulz went right back to the leg. The Axis Powers helped him stay in control, but when Averno spun out of the Wunderbar, he came off the ropes and connected with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog! ONE … TWO … THR – Schulz kicked out! Doug Williams came out first and congratulated Prince Williams on his engagement, and he berated Americans for failing to have such a sophisticated culture.

Match 3: Shark Boy vs Doug Williams with Dave Taylor
Williams was crazy with his knees here, presumably pissed off for not being used very often anymore. Shark Boy managed to dodge the Flying Double Knees to the corner, AND HE BIT DOUG IN THE ASS! They got into it, and Edwards ended up dropkicking Dutt to the floor, but then he turned into a clothesline from Bashir! Bonham and Edwards were in the back PISSED. Bonham said that they wanted another match with Jihad, THIS TIME WITH NO DQ!

Match 5: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost

Chad Collyer doing submission moves! He kept Dux in the middle of the ring, but Petey Williams strolled out. Collyer let go and went out of the ring to attack, but Dux caught him with a clothesline on the outside, and then drove him shoulder-first into the ring post. He rolled him back into the ring and worked over the arm some, but Collyer made a comeback after connecting with a side belly-to-belly! He bumped Dux around some, but Petey tripped him up from the floor! So Roderick Strong ran out and attacked Petey on the outside! In the ring, Collyer turned into an eye gouge from Dux, but when he tried the North of the Border Brainbuster, Collyer floated over and hit the EVEREST GERMAN SUPLEX TO WIN!

--Commercial Break--

In the back, Monty Brown went to Robert Roode and asked why the hell Tomko is also an “enforcer” for Team Canada. Roode said it wasn’t his decision, and Monty said he thought that Roode was the leader. Roode told Monty to calm down, and said he’d take care of it.

--Commercial Break--

Roode went to Christian and said that Monty wasn’t okay with Tomko being in the group. Christian said that Monty was being a bitch, because Tomko said it was fine with a high enough paycheck. Roode objected because Christian said he could make decision. Christian said that Roode could make “big picture” decisions, but he would make the “small picture” decisions, like recruitment. In fact, he’s working on recruiting somebody else now. Until then, he told Roode to calm Monty down and let it be known that he’s just a big body to do hard labor.

Kevin Nash dislikes Jimmy Jacobs, so he booked the following match at Shelley’s request.

Match 3: Jimmy Jacobs vs Alex Shelley/Rhino/Angelina Love
Shelley stepped right up to Jacobs, and they went to the mat for a bit, but when Jacobs stuck a headlock for a while, Shelley cornered him, and then backed up to tag in Rhino. Jacobs took it right to Rhino with big strikes, but frequent distractions by Shelley and Love let Rhino take over. He beat Jacobs around, and Shelley finally agreed to get in after Rhino hit his Spinebuster. He stretched Jacobs out and was really cocky, AND JACOBS EXPLODED WITH A SPEAR OFF THE ROPES! ONE … TWO … THRE – Rhino broke it up! He tried the Rhino Driver, but Jacobs shoved him away and dropkicked him to the outside! Back from the break, DON WEST HAD A LIVE TURKEY IN A CAGE WITH HIM AT THE BOOTH.

Roode told Monty what Christian said, and Monty said that Christian Cage can go EAT A BUCKET OF ANTS OFF A MOLDY EUCALYPTUS LOG. Now excuse me, because I have a goofy goofer to deal with.

Match 4: Matt Morgan vs Ritchie Steamboat
Steamboat tried to use kicks to chop away at Morgan’s legs, but Morgan eventually caught one and then nailed a big Exploder Suplex! ONE … TWO … THR – Steamboat kicked out! Morgan continued his offense, and he seemed a lot more aggressive, even using the ropes to choke Steamboat at certain points. He nearly took Morgan to the ground after some rapid punches, but when he ran off the ropes, Morgan LEVELED him with a falling discus clothesline! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan (5:49)

Morgan celebrated in the ring, but Monty Brown came out and the two brawled around the ring. Monty ended up getting the advantage, and Morgan got POUNCEDDDDDD~~~~~~! Period.

Joe, Ki, and ‘Cide were backstage and Joe said that they’re the most badass sons of bitches in the business, and Daniels and Ravarian were going to feel their wrath.

Match 5: Christopher Daniels with The Enlightened vs Low Ki with Samoa Joe & Homicide
Oh shit. Daniels was super cautious in getting close to Ki, and the violent motherfucker took much delight in watching Daniels squirm away whenever they locked up. Daniels faked inviting a wristlock and then went to the eyes, and then tackled Low Ki to the mat. He tried to contain him, but Ki came back and they had a really heated mat struggle. Low Ki finally got the better and made some headway in working over the ribs, but Daniels started throwing elbows to fight away, and then stuck a really tight headlock. After a bit, Ki shrugged him off and connected with some stiff kicks and charged at Daniels in the corner, but Daniels moved, and Ki’s shoulder collided with the ring post! He turned around, and Daniels immediately hit a shoulder breaker and locked in an ARM BAR~. He moved higher and higher to get a better and better angle, but when he got too far, LOW KI REACHED UP AND PULLED HIM INTO THE DRAGON CLUTCH! Daniels flopped over to the ropes, and then pulled himself out to the floor. Low Ki quickly got up and ran off the ropes, AND CAME OFF WITH A TOPE CON DROPKICK!

When Ki started to add in kicks he got on a big roll, and he topped it off with the Springboard Roundhouse! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels kicked out! ONE … TWO … THRE – DANIELS KICKED OUT! Low Ki went up top, but Jimmy Rave hopped up onto the apron! Joe came over and pulled him off, and then Homicide blocked Kaz with a running boot. Skipper snuck up to the apron as well, but Ki nailed him with a stiff kick to the face. He turned back to the ring, but Daniels crotched him, and brought him down with the FALL FROM GRACE! ONE … TWO … THRE – He got a shoulder up! Daniels ran to the corner for the BME, but Low Ki moved! Daniels stumbled up, and Low Ki tried a Springboard Roundhouse, but Daniels ducked! LAST RITES! Match 6: Robert Roode/Christian Cage vs AJ Styles/Kurt Angle
Styles stepped right up and wanted at Roode, but Christian injected himself in at the start. Styles finally brought it to both guys with big elbows, and then took Roode down with a Discus Clothesline! He tagged in Angle, and the two of them cleaned house, and Angle ended up hitting Christian with the Triple Germans! ONE … TWO … THR – Roode broke it up! He ran off the ropes and came back to take them both out with the FOSBURY FLOP!!!

--Commercial Break--

Angle was going high-intensity with his mat work and suplexes, taking on both Roode and Cage, but he seemed to overexert himself, and he ran into a boot from Christian, who then followed up with his Flying European Uppercut! They isolated him for a bit, but Angle shoved away from the Unprettier and sprinted to take him out by the ankle! He stomped and pried away at it, and after a belly-to-belly, HE PULLED DOWN THE STRAPS! He went for the ankle lock, but Roode rushed the ring, only to be taken out by a Springboard Elbow Smash from the world champion! ANGLE PUT IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Christian writhed around, but finally made it to the ropes. Angle yanked him up and tried the Olympic Slam, but Christian held onto the ropes and used his Pendulum Kick, then quickly tagged in Roode, who rushed in with a big lariat. After Jihad started double-teaming Edwards, Bonham came in to his aid, and it turned into a tornado match. Bonham and Edwards came right at them with big punches, and continued to beat them around the ring. The heels eventually split to the floor, but this time the babyfaces could follow them out and they started a brawl on the floor. Chaotic brawling sent us to the last break of the night.

--Commercial Break--

The heels finally took over after using the barricade to their disposal. Bonham fought away from a Bashir powerbomb on the floor, and exploded with a flying lariat! He pulled Bashir up and tried the High Times, but Dutt hit him with a steel chair to the back! SHIT JUST GOT HARDCORE! He tried to drop Bonham with a DDT to the chair, but Bonham body dropped him away on the hard floor! Bashir snuck up behind with a kick to the groin, but then turned into a roundhouse from Edwards! He yanked him up and tried the Sonjay Cutter, but Bonham countered into running powerslam! Edwards got up in the corner … LIONSAULT TO DUTT! Bashir stumbled to his feet, and Edwards picked up the steel chair and NAILED him in the face, send him right into the HIGH TIMES! ONE … TWO … THREE!

TNA Impact: Pick Your Poison
Impact Zone
Orlando, Florida
December 2, 2010

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DAD~!

Steiner opened the show from his office and he said that there would be a Pick Your Poison stipulation, where Styles could choose an opponent for Roode and Roode could choose an opponent for Styles.

Commentary hyped the Pick Your Poison matches, along with Homicide vs Kazarian and Cage/Young vs Angle/Collyer.

Robert Roode came right out and said AJ Styles’ match would be right now … AGAINST SAMOA JOE~!

Match 1: AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe [Non-Title]
Styles stepped right up with Joe and actually went hold-for-hold with him! Joe flicked him away, but then charged right into a standing dropkick from the world champ. Styles got down and stuck a headlock for a bit, but Joe suplexed him away. They stared off for a bit, UNTIL CHRIS DANIELS SLID IN AND ATTACKED JOE!
Winner via disqualification: Samoa Joe (2:05)

Daniels kept attacking Joe, and they brawled out of the ring and up the ramp. Styles got on the mic and said he was pissed, because he could have pinned Joe tonight. Steiner came out and said that Roode would get another chance to pick an opponent for AJ later tonight, and all parties would be banned from ringside.

--Commercial Break--

Christian Cage was waiting around backstage, and finally somebody arrived in a limo, but the camera cut away before we could see who stepped out.

Match 2: Petey Williams w/ Tyson Dux vs Roderick Strong
Petey overpowered Strong at first, and really tossed him around. Strong made some brief comebacks by going after the back, but with his strength and some help from Dux, Petey stayed in control. He used the Steiner elbow and pushups, and then tried to put in the Sharpshooter, but Strong wrestled out and put in the Stronghold! Williams made it to the ropes, but Strong stayed in control and bumped Williams around. Petey blocked the Strong Backbreaker and lifted him up for a military press, but Strong floated behind and hit a Bridging German! ONE … TWO … THRE – Williams kicked out! Strong tried to put back in the Stronghold, but Petey got him into a rollup, and Dux gave him leverage from the outside! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Petey Williams (5:58)

Petey and Dux celebrated to the back.

A Shelley/Jacobs feud promo played, and Jacobs vs The James Gang was announced for Xplosion.

Angle and Collyer just finished up talking strategy, and they headed toward the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Christian Cage came out first and introduced the man who would be in his corner and the NEWEST associate of Team Canada … BRYAN DANIELSON WHAT.

Match 3: Kurt Angle/Chad Collyer vs Christian Cage/Eric Young w/ Bryan Danielson
Lots of mat stuff at the top, mostly Angle vs Young, Collyer vs Young, and some Collyer vs Cage. Christian took over with some arm work on Collyer, and he and EY worked together to keep him contained. Young tried a high-angle arm bar, but Collyer rolled through and exploded with a belly-to-belly, then tagged in Angle! He rushed the ring and took everybody with clotheslines, and then suplexed Young to the outside! Cage stumbled to his feet and Angle tried the Olympic Slam, but Cage countered into an arm drag, and then clotheslined him to the outside! Collyer came in and tried the Everest German, but Cage grabbed onto the ropes and slid to the outside. Collyer ran across the ring and went for a Baseball Slid, but Christian moved, but Collyer hit Young! Collyer got up on the floor, and Cage dropped him with a falling lariat on the floor! We’ll be right back!

--Commercial Break--

Collyer was being worked over in the heel corner, until he blocked Young’s Northern Lights Suplex, and countered with his Gargoyle Suplex! ONE … TWO … THR – Young kicked out! Collyer dragged him over and tagged in Angle, who came in and bumped Young around big. Collyer eventually regrouped on the apron and joined in, and the two showed good teamwork in bouncing EY around. Angle set him up top and climbed up, but Young poked him in the eye and shoved him down. Young slowly stood up, BUT ANGLE SPRINTED UP AND HIT HIS SUPER BELLY-TO-BELLY! ONE … TWO … THRE – Cage broke it up! Collyer came in to take on Christian, and the two traded blows, but Collyer got the better and tackled Cage out of the ring! He tagged in from Angle, and tried the Everest German, but Young elbowed away and took him down. He attacked Angle on the apron, so Angle came in and tackled him to the mat! Young stumbled up, and Angle tried an Olympic Slam, but Young floated through and turned into AN OLYMPIC SLAM FROM COLLYER! ONE … TWO … THRE – CHRISTIAN BROKE IT UP! Cage tried to slide out, but Angle caught him and hit a big belly-to-belly! Cage rolled to the floor, but Angle followed out with a Plancha! In the ring, Young tried his Spike Piledriver on Collyer, but he body dropped away! He followed up with his Gargoyle Suplex, and then measured him up for the Everest German, but Danielson rolled into the ring! He asked the ref how much time was left in the match, and everybody was all confused. Collyer turned around and shouted for Danielson to get out of the ring, and the distraction let Young hit a low blow! SPIKE PILEDRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Christian Cage/Eric Young (14:39)

Cage and Young celebrated in the ring, and Cage called for Danielson to join them. He did, and Collyer got up and looked confused from the corner. Christian went to leave, but Angle grabbed him and hit him with a German Suplex! Young ran after him, but Angle ducked out of the ring and gave them the finger.

Backstage, Bailout attacked Booker T and Jay Lethal, and a brawl occurred.

--Commercial Break--

A replay played of Christian Cage introducing Bryan Danielson as the newest member of Team Canada. And I can do this because I signed him when he was released from the WWE and the appeal of his future storyline caused him to sign a long-term deal! We have great contract negotiators here.

Roode ran up to Cage in the back and said it was bullshit that Danielson is part of Team Canada when, one, nobody asked Roode, two, he prevented Danielson from winning a contract at BFG, and three, HE’S AMERICAN. Christian said that, one, recruitment is his job, two, Steiner signed Danielson because of his amateur background, and three, Canada is accepting of all nationalities, so long as they admit that Canada is superior. Roode asked if Danielson had done that, and Cage told him not to worry about it. Roode was in a fluster and said he had to go get ready for his match.

Match 4: Sean Hernandez vs Jeremy Buck w/ Max
Jeremy tried to bounce around to avoid being caught, and he did manage to stick some kicks to the legs. He ran to the ropes for a springboard, but HERNANDEZ SPEARED HIM OUT OF MIDAIR! He yanked him up and hit the Border Toss to win.
Winner via pinfall: Sean Hernandez (88 - 0) (0:56)

Hernandez celebrated in the ring as Max checked on his brother.

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor found Hernandez in the back and told him to seriously quit being such a dick. Hernandez dared him to stop him, and Taylor said he would. Next week.

AJ Styles was in the ring and he brought out Robert Roode, and then announced his opponent … MONTY BROWN~!~!

Match 4: Robert Roode vs Monty Brown [Non-Title]
Right away Roode told Monty to lay down for him, but Monty shook his head. Roode kept demanding it, AND THEN SLAPPED MONTY IN THE FACE! He realized he made a mistake, and spent a few minutes avoiding Monty at all costs. Eventually Monty caught him and bounced him around, getting a big pop for every move he did on Roode. He tried the Alpha Bomb to end it, but Roode got out and took out his knee from behind. He followed up with some leg work to keep him contained, and it had some success until Monty EXPLODED with a HUGE lariat! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode kicked out! He yanked him up and military pressed him across the ring, and measured him up, and came across with his Flying Shoulder Block! ONE … TWO … THR – Roode got a foot on the bottom rope! Brown called for the Pounce, but Matt Morgan ran down! Monty jumped out of the ring and took it right to Morgan with big punches, and then chucked him into the barricade! He climbed back into the ring, but Morgan grabbed his leg while Roode distracted the ref. As soon as he let go, Roode ran across and hit the Northern Lariat!! He rolled Monty up and grabbed the ropes! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (7:06)

Roode awkwardly got up and high-tailed it out of the ring without any celebration. Monty got up in the ring and he was PISSED. He turned around and Morgan tried to Boot him, but Monty ducked AND CAME OFF THE ROPES WITH THE POUNCE~!

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Homicide w/ Low Ki vs Frankie Kazarian w/ Jimmy Rave
Basic back-and-forth match, with Homicide doing a lot of stiff hitting, and Kaz keeping on control with some basic neck work. Ending came when Kaz tried the Wave of the Future, but Homicide spun out and came off the ropes with the West Brooklyn Lariat! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Homicide (6:39)

Post-match brawl.

--Commercial Break--

Booker and Lethal were in the back and they told Bailout that now it’s personal, and they were going to get their asses kicked Samuel L. Jackson style.

Robert Roode came out and announced AJ’s opponent … TYSON TOMKO~!

Match 6: AJ Styles vs Tyson Tomko [Non-Title]
Styles tried to step up for a lockup, but Tomko kept tossing him to the side. Styles finally held off and let Tomko charge, and he caught him with his beautiful standing dropkick! He pounced on him with a side headlock and kept it in for a good bit, but Tomko finally just went to the ropes to break it, and then took a cheap elbow to Styles’ chin. He tackled Styles into the corner and started driving into his ribs, and continued the midsection work on the mat for a bit. He started bumping him around, but when he rushed Styles in the corner, the world champion popped up and caught him with a hurricanrana that sent him to the outside! And he followed up with a SPRINGBOARD STAR PRESS TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

Tomko pulled him up and tried the Argentine Neckbreaker, but Styles spun through and hit the Pele Kick! He shook out some cobwebs and crawled over to cover, ONE … TWO … TH – Tomko kicked out WITHOUT AUTHORITY~! Tomko tried the Argentine Neckbreaker again, but this time STYLES COUNTERED INTO A TORNADO DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Tomko kicked out! Styles went up top, but Tomko met him there. He tried to toss him off, but Styles flipped through and landed on his feet! Tomko charged, but Styles used a drop toe hold to send him into the turnbuckle. Tomko stumbled back, AND STYLES HIT THE PHENOMENAL DDT! The world champ climbed up top AND HIT THE SPIRAL TAP! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (13:40)

AJ Styles celebrated in the ring, but Roode ran down to attack! They brawled, and eventually Christian Cage came down to help Roode, but that drew out Kurt Angle! Cage pounced on Angle and tried an Unprettier, but Angle pushed him away and into a Pele Kick from Styles! Roode got Angle with the Northern Lariat, and then tried the Payoff on Styles, but Styles flipped through. He tried the Discus Lariat, but Roode ducked and reversed it with the Roode Awakening! Commentary welcomed us to the show and talked about some big things for tonight. First, Los Infernales requested a match with Lost after Lost disrespected Mephisto last week, and Lost chose Kenny King as his partner, since TJ Perkins has a match. Also, off the heels of a big No DQ rubber match, both Eddie Edwards and Brandon Bonham would be in singles action, with Bonham taking on Tyson Tomko in the main event. Plus, Amazing Red challenged TJ Perkins to a match tonight. NOW LET’S START.

Match 1: Los Infernales vs Scott Lost/Kenny King
The luchas went right at Lost with kicks and chops, but King came in and disrupted it with punches for everyone. He tried a roundhouse to Averno, but he ducked and got King on his shoulders, and Mephisto came off the ropes and HIT A JUMPING DOOMSDAY CROSSBODY THAT RULED! ONE … TWO … THRE – Lost broke it up! They attacked him and tried a double suplex, but Lost shoved them away and chucked Averno to the floor, and then nailed Mephisto with a rolling neckbreaker. He dragged Mephisto to the heel corner, where he and King did a number on him. He eventually fought away from a Lost vertical suplex, and countered with a Brainbuster! ONE … TWO … THRE – TJ broke it up! He stomped at Mephisto, but then Averno took him out with a springboard clothesline! Mephisto pulled him up and chucked him into the corner and followed up with a wheel kick. He set him up top and tried a frankensteiner, but Lost held on, and then came off with a Missile Dropkick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Mephisto kicked out! King tagged in and immediately tried the Crown Jewel, but Mephisto spun through and went for a DDT, but King pushed him away and hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! He started choking him in the ropes, which drew Averno into the ring. Lost intercepted him and tackled him to the floor, where the two fought. In the ring, King tried the Crown Jewel, but Mephisto fought away. He hit a hurricanrana and went up top, but Lost hopped up on the apron and shoved Mephisto to the mat, and King crawled over to cover! ONE … TWO … THREE!
