Commentary welcomed us to the show and ran down the card, especially the main event of Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels for the TNA World Championship.

A hype video played for the three-way X-Division Championship match, highlighting how Kendrick and London both chose to pursue singles careers, but ended up together in this match anyway.

Match 1: Alex Shelley[c] vs Paul London vs Brian Kendrick [X-Division Championship]
Shelley challenged the Hooliganz to go at it on their own, but they turned and both attacked the champion. They bumped him around for a good bit, and London ended up hitting a dropsault that sent him into the ropes, and then Kendrick clotheslined him to the outside. London and Kendrick then did some fancy mat work for a while, but it was all respectful. They had some dueling arm work, but when London missed a dropsault, Kendrick got a quick leg drop to the back of the skull, and he took off with some neck work. They went back-and-forth for a while, never able to stick their big stuff. London tried the Waffle Face, but Kendrick used a headscissors to send him into the corner. Kendrick charged with a flying elbow, but London ducked and Kendrick flew to the outside! He got up, and London took him up with a plancha! London stood up and looked over to see Shelley ducking behind the ring steps! He had been hiding while the tag partners went at it! London chased after Shelley around the floor, and it ended up back in the ring where Shelley took over with a cheap elbow to London’s neck. He stomped at him some and then tried the Shellshock, but London spun out. He came off the ropes and tried a hurricanrana, but Shelley countered into a Spinning Sitout Powerbomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Kendrick made the save! He picked Shelley up and tried the Sliced Bread #2, but Shelley yanked at Kendrick’s arm to break free, and he pulled him back into a Backpack Stunner! ONE … TWO … THR – Kendrick kicked out! Shelley tried to put him into the Border City Stretch, but Kendrick countered into a small package! ONE … TWO … THR – London shoved them, but it only turned the small package to put Shelley on top! ONE … London pushed it again, but they stayed together! He kept rolling them, but they were in a knot and neither guy could/would let go. London finally just broke it up with a standing Shooting Star Press! He hit another one to Shelley! ONE … TWO … THR – Kendrick broke it up! He picked London up and tossed him into the corner and charged, but London flipped him to the apron. He elbowed London away, and then went to springboard into the ring, but London moved, AND KENDRICK FLEW RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK FROM ALEX SHELLEY! Shelley covered! ONE … TWO … THRE – LONDON MADE THE SAVE! He delivered some stuff kicks to Shelley and threw him into the ropes, and caught him coming back with a hurricanrana! ONE … TWO … THR – Shelley kicked out! London stumbled up, AND SHELLEY HIT A SUPERKICK! ONE … TWO … THRE – London got an arm up! Shelley pulled him up and tried a Shellshock, but London spun out, and HE TURNED INTO JUMPING BICYCLE KICK FROM KENDRICK! Kendrick turned around RIGHT INTO THE SHELLSHOCK! ONE … TWO … THREE!

Match 2: Tyson Tomko vs Robert Roode w/ Monty Brown
Lots of Roode stalling and taunting, but when Tomko had him, he bumped him around for the most part. After an undetected trip up from Monty, Roode got off the Northern Lariat! ONE … TWO … THRE – Tomko got a foot on the rope! Roode went to work viciously on Tomko’s neck, and was able to stop his comebacks by going back to it. Lethal got an idea, and asked Creed to give them a beat. He obliged, and Lethal and Booker break danced~ backstage.

JBL came out with a lasso, and he said he’d be watching guard to make sure no dirty Mexicans jumped the barricade to help these lucha scumbags.

Match 3: Los Infernales vs Bailout w/ JBL
The luchas started out on fire, but both Averno and Mephisto got isolated at certain point. Davey killed the fuck out of people, and Burke took some cocky jabs and did some basic offense. Averno countered Burke’s Bankrupt Bomb into a hurricanrana, and he went up top and hit a Flying Crossbody! ONE … TWO … THR – Burke kicked out! Mephisto got hot tagged in, and he cleaned house with lucha goodness. Davey hit a sick shoot kick that reeled him, and Burke threw him into the corner, but Mephisto ran up the turnbuckle and came off with a Moonsault to a standing Richards! Hernandez shoved him away and caught him with a big shoulder block, but Low Ki rolled through the momentum, and got up and went back to attack with stiff strikes! Hernandez got flustered, and actually rolled to the outside, but Low Ki immediately followed up with a Tope Missile Dropkick! He hopped up on the apron and came off with a Spinning Wheel Kick! He tried to roll Hernandez back into the ring, but the big man held his weight and then tackled Ki back first into the ring post. Jeff Jarrett was backstage with Karen Angle, and he responded to accusations that he only made his relationship with Karen public to get inside Kurt’s head. Jeff said he was deeply offended by this, and that he and Karen have been in love for a while now, even before she split from Kurt, and it’s their right to make that public. He said that was a non-issue, and his problems with Kurt are completely separate from the way he emotionally abused Karen. He called Kurt a cancer in TNA, and that now was the time to remove this cancer from the company that he founded.

A video played going over the extensive history between Ravarian and 2CN, as well as them taking Creed out, and Booker T stepping up to team with Lethal to challenge for the tag team titles.

Match 5: Ravarian[c] vs Jay Lethal/Booker T [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Well, that last match was longer than I wanted, so this will be shorter. Booker T and Jay Lethal worked great together at the start, but when Rave hit Lethal with a bulldog on the apron, they played up Jay’s concussion and beat the shit out of him. Kaz put Lethal up top for the Flux Capacitor, but Lethal shoved him off and came down with a Double Axe Handle! Kaz managed to grab him and tried the Wave of the Future, but Lethal spun through and went right for the hot tag! Booker T got in and was as fiery as ever, knocking both guys around for a bit. He tried the Axe Kick on Rave, but Kaz pulled him away, so Booker clotheslined Kaz to the outside. Rave grabbed him from behind and tried the All of Rave, but Booker flung Rave into the ropes and caught him coming back with the 100th Street Slam! He got that look in his eye, AND THEN DID THE SPIN-A-ROONIE~! He pulled Rave up and tried the Book End, but Rave elbowed away and got a quick Snap DDT! Match 6: Kurt Angle vs Jeff Jarrett [There MUST be a winner]
Commentary mentioned how Angle/Jarrett II also happened in Charlotte, NC, so that’s cool. Anyway, no mat work, they immediately went into a wild brawl. It went to the floor pretty quickly, and continued out through the crowd, but the ref let it happen, due to Dixie’s orders that somebody actually win. Both guys eventually fought back, and it all escalated in intensity. Jarrett tried his strategy that worked last time, and he got off the Even Flow DDT for a nearfall, but when he tried a POUNCE~, Kurt scouted it and rolled out of the way! He hit the Triple Germans, but by now both guys were really fatigued, and it took them a while to get up. Kurt struck first with big uppercuts, but Jarrett went to the eyes. Angle turned around, and Jarrett took him out with a chop block! He grabbed Angle’s leg and looked around at the Charlotte crowd! WOO~! He went for the Figure Four, but Angle kicked him away! Angle went for the Ankle Lock again, but Jarrett got up to his feet and hit an enzuigiri to get out! Angle staggered in place, and Jarrett tried the Stroke again, but this time Angle elbowed away. Kurt Angle got up and celebrated in the ring. Jarrett slowly got up in the ring, and he was pissed. Angle celebrated up the ramp and to the back.

AMW and Chad Collyer were backstage, and AMW hyped up Collyer as an All-American amateur wrester. Collyer said he was from Liberty, Indiana, which is about as patriotic as it can get—except Tennessee of course. AMW said that Tennessee is the All-American state, and they spent time putting over BBQs, fireworks, USWA, and apple pie.

Dixie’s announcement of a TV Title played. All of the announced participants in the battle royal came down and got in the ring. The match was about to start, but TYSON TOMKO~ came out and put himself in this open-invitational battle royal.

Battle royals don’t have to be exciting at the beginning, and this wasn’t. Some things to note though: Morley and Lance double-teamed the shit out of Steamboat Jr, but he eliminated both them and himself with a running crossbody, and they brawled to the back. Chuck Taylor got a miracle elimination and took out TJ Perkins, who threw a fit on the floor. Tomko and Monty were fighting virtually the other time, except for when people interrupted their fight, so they would take that guy out together, and then go back at it. The final six were Koslov, Doug Williams, Roddy Strong, Morgan, Tomko, and Monty. Morgan booted Koslov to the outside, but he landed on the apron and rested for a while. Williams tried the Chaos Theory on Strong, but Strong flipped through the German, and got Williams with the Strong Backbreaker! He tossed Doug out of the ring, and though he was in the final four, but Koslov reappeared and dumped him to the outside, thus finishing the match.

Monty and Tomko kept brawling in the ring, and Koslov celebrated like crazy on the apron. Morgan celebrated up the ramp, and commentary hyped up that one of these guys would be the first ever TNA Television Champion.

Team Canada was backstage and they had an American flag with them. Petey said he had the lighter fluid and lighter with him to burn this piece of garbage after they beat AMW and Collyer.

Samoa Joe was in the back strapping up his boots, and commentary hyped up how Joe and Daniels battled over the X-Division Title for years, and now they’ve found themselves main eventing a PPV for the TNA World Championship.

Jimmy Jacobs came out and issued another open challenge. He waited until …

Jacobs stumbled to his feet holding his back, and he walked right into the Cradle Shock! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Sabin (10:02)

Chris Sabin celebrated, shook Jacobs’ hand, and then grabbed a microphone. He said that it has come to his attention that Alex Shelley is no longer in the building, but he was busy having a threesome with a coke-riddled whore and a MANBEAST~. He said that he was back from his concussion, and he would be calling out Alex Shelley on Thursday’s Impact, and if he was at all a man, he would came face him in-person.

Ravarian was backstage, but Elix Skipper came up to them and told them not to talk to Chris Daniels right now, because he was furious at them.

A hype video played, going over Team Canada costing AMW the tag team titles, and how their anti-American rhetoric has stepped it. It ended with Team Canada’s promise to burn an American flag if they beat AMW and Collyer here tonight.

Match 9: Team Canada vs America’s Most Wanted/Chad Collyer
Lots of hate-filled back-and-forth brawling. Collyer shined a lot here, but he was the man in isolation for a good stretch as Team Canada killed at his back and kept trying to fight him into the Sharpshooter. Collyer used his amateur background to constantly fight away from it, and he managed to pull Dux down with him and then wrestle him into a sick Kremlin Suplex! HOT TAG TO COWBOY JAMES STORM! The bigger guy came in on fire and soon Harris joined him in knocking them all around. Harris was up and tried the Catatonic on Young, but he elbowed out and shoved Harris into the corner, WHERE DUX HIT HIM WITH AN UNDETECTED HOCKEY STICK SHOT TO THE SKULL! Harris stumbled out, and YOUNG HIT THE SPIKE PILEDRIVER! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Team Canada (13:29)

Team Canada celebrated in the ring, and they laid out their opponents once more with the hockey sticks. Tyson Dux ran to the back and grabbed the flag, lighter, and fluid, and brought them to the ring. The crowd was going nuts in booing as Eric Young poured lighter fluid over the Star Spangled Banner! He started to light the lighter…

BUT KURT ANGLE RAN OUT! OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST! AMERICAN HERO! FUCK YEAH! Angle tackled Young to the mat! He tossed Dux and Williams out of the ring! He helped AMW and Collyer up, and then Angle held the American flag across his back as the four celebrated in the ring to a big “USA!” chant from the crowd.

Christopher Daniels was backstage, and he said that he’s wanted the TNA World Championship ever since he returned to TNA in early 2009. He said he was screwed over by the Main Event Mafia, he was neglected by the Frontline, but since he’s had the Enlightened to support him, he’s been unstoppable. He talked about how he’s put down Raven, Rob Van Dam, and Booker T, and now it’s time to put down the Champ, and mark a new era in TNA history.

Another video played hyping Bound For Glory VI on October 10, 2010, when TNA returns to its home in Orlando, FL for the first time in six months!

HYPE VIDEO~

Match 10: Samoa Joe[c] vs Christopher Daniels [TNA World Championship]
Daniels was cautious as hell to get too close to Samoa Joe, so he spent a good chunk of the beginning of the match just getting tossed around, but surviving any pin attempts. He eventually found his break when he kneed away from a Muscle Buster, and came off with a Flying Double Knees to the back of the head! Joe hit the mat hard, and Daniels went nuts trying to keep him down. Joe of course had really aggressive comebacks, but Daniels was super crafty in dodging most of Joe’s big stuff. Commentary noted that Daniels never once got cocky with Joe, despite the fact that he’s prone to do so against other guys. Joe managed to shrug off the Last Rites and fought back with huge strikes and kicks, and he dumped Daniels to the outside. He ran off the ropes for a Suicide Dive, BUT DANIELS MOVED AND JOE HIT THE BARRICADE! Daniels didn’t even think twice before going back at Joe’s neck and destroying it on the outside. He finally rolled him in and immediately hit a snap DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Joe kicked out! Daniels picked him up and tried the Angel’s Wings, but Joe body dropped out, keeping the bridge! ONE … TWO … TH – His neck force him to let go of the bridge! Both guys got up, and Joe tried some kicks, but Daniels caught one and countered with a windmill kick to the side of the head! Both guys were down for a while, but Daniels was up first. He tried a piledriver, but Joe shoved him into the ropes and caught him coming back with a snap powerslam! He ran off the ropes for his back senton! ONE … TWO … TH – Daniels got an arm up! They both got up, and Joe went crazy with slaps and elbows! He ran off the ropes, but Daniels caught him coming back AND PUT HIM IN A KOJI CLUTCH! He wrenched back on Joe’s neck, Joe was in tons of pain, struggle to the ropes, etc, and he finally made the rope break. Daniels was pissed at this point, so he tried the Angel’s Wings, but Joe shoved him away. He tried to get him up with the Muscle Buster, but Daniels fell through it with a falling neckbreaker! He ran to the corner! BEST MOONSAULT EVER! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! JOE KICKED OUT! Daniels landed on the middle rope and went for a Springboard Crossbody, but Joe ducked, AND DANIELS TOOK OUT THE REF SHIT! Daniels got right up, and Joe grabbed him from behind again for the X-Plex, but Daniels slipped out and tried for a Victory Roll, but Joe sat on it with the Owen Counter! BUT THERE WAS NO REF TO COUNT IT! Joe tried to shake the ref to life, but it wasn’t working. He turned around, RIGHT INTO THE LAST RITES! Daniels covered, BUT STILL NO REF! Daniels was went fucking apeshit in the ring, and he started choking the life out of Samoa Joe. He pulled him up and tried another Last Rites, but Joe spun out AND HIT THE X-PLEX! Both guys were done for a while, AND AJ STYLES RAN DOWN WITH A STEEL CHAIR! WHAT! He slid in just as Daniels and Joe were getting up, AND HE NAILED JOE ACROSS THE SKULL! Daniels looked stunned, but AJ told him to shut up and cover Joe. Daniels ran to make the cover, BUT STYLES NAILED DANIELS ACROSS THE FACE! He pulled Daniels up! STYLES CLASH ONTO THE STEEL CHAIR! Winner via pinfall and still TNA World Champion: Samoa Joe (17:40)

Styles rolled out of the ring and returned to the back, and Joe slowly got to his feet. He asked the referee what happened, and the ref said that he won. Joe was confused, and when Daniels got up he threw a tantrum. He screamed at Joe and told him what happened, and Joe looked up the ramp and shouted that AJ is a coward. He kept calling for Styles to come out, but he never did. He turned around, AND DANIELS HIT HIM WITH THE LAST RITES! He picked up the TNA Championships and draped it over Joe’s body, then went to the back to close the show.

- The decision to establish a new General Manager came when Dixie Carter expressed her discomfort with being an on-air character. Despite the hype expected to arise from other sources, we’ve received messages that point toward the GM spot going to somebody already in TNA.

- James Gibson, better known as Jamie Noble, has been signed by TNA to be a road agent. He was heavily recruited by Paul London, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe. Gibson sited his desire to return to his permanent residency in Florida instead of the hectic travel of the WWE for his decision to switch companies. That makes a road agent crew of D’Lo Brown, Al Snow, Savio Vega, Dave Taylor, Sean Morley, and James Gibson.

- An effort led by high-level wrestlers within the company to have TNA switch to a four-sided ring may have paid off. Dixie Carter has been open to the idea for a while, and when certain names advocated the idea aloud within the locker room, she seemed to have warmed up to their opinions. When, if ever, this change will take place has yet to be determined.

TNA iMPACT: You Got Alotta ‘Splaining to Do…

A big video package played going over what happened at No Surrender.

Samoa Joe came out to the Impact Zone before anything, and he was irate. He said that AJ Styles was a little punk bitch for interfering in his match on Sunday against Christopher Daniels. He promised Daniels that he didn’t realize Styles had interfered until he was told after the show, and if he had known, he would not have taken advantage and taken the cheap win. AJ Styles came out and mockingly clapped Joe and praised his righteousness. Joe interrupted him and told him to shut up, and warned him that if he stepped into the ring, he would be murdered. Styles objected and said he HELPED Joe last night, and it’s because HE wants to be the one to beat Samoa Joe for that title, and redeem himself and prove to the world that he can beat Samoa Joe, and he can win back that TNA Championship. Joe told him that he’s always ready and willing to destroy AJ Styles, and he wants him tonight. Style smiled and dared him to put the TNA Championship on the line, and Joe immediately agreed, and said it has never mattered in the past, and it would continue to not matter, because his title was not in any sort of danger against AJ Styles. AJ just laughed, and said that he guessed they had a main event then.

Commentary talked about the main event of Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles tonight, as well as the rest of the card: Tomko/Koslov vs Morgan/Monty, Booker T/Jay Lethal vs Ravarian, Angle/Collyer vs Dux/Petey, and more.

--Commercial Break--

Clips of the TV Title Battle Royal played, with the final four survivors being the four in the following match. Commentary said that over the next two weeks we would see Tomko vs Koslov and Morgan vs Monty, with the winners facing each other at Bound For Glory to become the first ever TNA TV Champion.

Match 1: Tyson Tomko/Viktor Koslov vs Matt Morgan/Monty Brown
Neither team worked well together, but there was a bunch of Tomko vs Morgan and Tomko vs Monty, because Viktor refused to get in. Finally Tomko forced the tag, and Koslov got bumped around. Morgan nearly hit the Carbon Footprint, but he rolled under and slid to the outside. He taunted Morgan, but then turned around into a big lariat from Monty!

--Commercial Break--

A replay showed Morgan missing a clothesline to Koslov on the outside, and hitting his arm. As such, Koslov and Tomko had him isolated. Koslov picked him a part on the mat, and Tomko would come in to clean up and hit some big power moves. Koslov tried to fight him into a cross arm breaker, but Morgan tossed him aside and caught him coming back with a sidewalk slam! Hot tag to Monty Brown! The big man bumped Koslov around big, but he tagged out to Tomko and IT WAS ON! Monty and Tomko traded big blows, and Tomko got on fire and hit his Falling Lariat! He lined up for TEH BEWT~, but Koslov elbowed him in the back of the skull from the apron! Tomko stumbled forward, INTO A HUGE LARIAT FROM MONTY BROWN! Morgan celebrated in the ring, but he turned right around into a HUGE lariat from Monty Brown! Monty celebrated some, but Viktor Koslov slid back into the ring and jumped on Monty’s back! Monty just laughed and tossed him forward. He tried for the Pounce, but Koslov slid to the outside, RIGHT INTO TEH BEWT~ from Tomko! With Koslov down, Tomko looked into the ring at Monty, and the two stared off.

Backstage, Booker T was with Lethal. Booker cut kind of an emotional promo saying he was so proud to be a champion again, especially with such a bright young star like Jay lethal. Lethal said that, to make it count, they were going to have to beat Ravarian when they cash in their rematch clause NEXT!

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Booker T/Jay Lethal[c] vs Ravarian [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Same basic structure their No Surrender match, with the heels working over Lethal’s concussion problems. This times Booker’s hot tag did the job though, as he hit Rave with the Book End, and then clotheslined Kaz to the outside. He tagged out to Lethal, who went right up top and came down with the Lethal Elbow to Rave! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Booker T and Jay Lethal! (8:03)

Bryan Danielson and Christian Cage were backstage, and Danielson said that, as of Saturday, he could wrestle for TNA, so he’d like a match on Xplosion. Christian said that Danielson deserves a match on Impact, not Xplosion, so he’ll work on getting him that for next week.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Shane Sewell vs Volador
They did some fancy lucha, but it didn’t get far before Sean Hernandez came out and Speared them both.
No contest due to interference (1:23)

Hernandez chucked both guys out of the ring. He got on the microphone and said that, now that he’s killed both Low Ki and Homicide, he thinks he should get a shot at the TNA Championship. He said he wouldn’t stop murdering people until he got his request. He then pulled Sewell back into the ring and hit him with the Border Toss.

Kevin Nash was backstage in a formal suit, and he officially announced his candidacy for the spot of General Manager of TNA Impact.

Kurt Angle and Chad Collyer were backstage, and Angle said he requested this tag team match with Team Canada because what they tried to do at No Surrender was unforgivable.

--Commercial Break--

He finally managed to break away after floating over Dux’s Brainbuster, and then getting off a Release German. HOT TAG TO BABYFACE KURT ANGLE! He came in on fire, and whipped out his Flying Forearm to Dux. Collyer joined in and they bounced Petey and Dux around, but Dux floated through the Olympic Slam and kicked Angle in the balls, causing a DQ.
Winners via DQ: Kurt Angle/Chad Collyer (6:21)

Team Canada stomped away at them, BUT AMERICA’S MOST WANTED CAME DOWN AND MADE THE SAVE!

Clips from Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles at Slammiversary played.

Winner via pinfall: Rhino (5:53)

Rhino celebrated to the back with Love by his side.

Clips from Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles at Hard Justice played.

--Commercial Break--

Chris Sabin came out to a huge pop and grabbed a microphone. He said that when Alex Shelley smashed his head inside a ladder three months ago, he sustained a very serious concussion. It busted up his head, and it required 35 stitches, and he’s kept his head shaved to remind him of that scar everyday he looks in the mirror; to remind him of the man who tore apart the best tag team in the industry, who robbed him of the X-Division title, who put his career on the shelf for the better part of a year, and who turned his back on everything he stood for. It was essentially a “THIS SCAR WILL BE A SYMBOL†promo. He said he’s ashamed to admit that he once considered Alex Shelley his best friend, and even more ashamed to have once had matching smurf haircuts, but at least one of them got rid of it. He said that he can hardly sleep at night, or think about anything else in life other than getting revenge on that son of a bitch. He finished by saying that he’s said his piece, and now he wants to back up his words with action, so he called out Alex Shelley.

Instead, Angelina Love came out and said that Alex Shelley isn’t here, because he’s defending his X-Division Championship in exotic locations around the world. Sabin was irate, but said he figured that Shelley would cut and run. Love said that he’s not running, he’s just being a fighting champion. Sabin agreed that Shelley enjoys bringing prestige to the belt, but more than he enjoys bringing attention to himself, so it won’t be long until he comes back to Impact to be in the spotlight, and when that happens, he’ll be waiting. Angelina Love just rolled her eyes and left, leaving Sabin alone in the ring.

A bunch of classic Bound For Glory images and clips played.

ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Ricky Steamboat Jr (7:03)

Steamboat celebrated in the ring, but Morley and Lance snuck down and attacked him from behind! They stomped away at him, and Morley kept shouting that Ricky doesn’t have a hero anymore. They pulled him up and hit the Hart Attack, then posed over his body.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: The Hooliganz vs The Redcoats
Formulaic tag match, with two isolation segments for the faces. Kendrick was comfortable in flying around at this point, and the end came when he took Taylor to the mat with a Frankensteiner. Christopher Daniels came out and excoriated AJ Styles for ruining his chance at becoming TNA Champion at No Surrender, when he could feel the title in his grasp. But, he said that as much as he hates AJ Styles, he loves the TNA Championship even more, so that’s his number one priority. Dixie Carter came out and said she had a proposal that could help Daniels cope with both problems: Chris Daniels vs AJ Styles in a number one contender’s match TONIGHT! Daniels looked happy at first, but then said last time that happened, Booker T ruined his chances, despite the fact that he had AJ beat. Dixie said that could be fixed by having the match officiated by somebody who wouldn’t be knocked down so easily… SAMOA JOE!

Commentary talked about the big main event of Styles vs Daniels with Joe as the special guest referee, along with the rest of the card of Booker/Lethal vs Bailout, Tomko vs Koslov in the first semi-final match of the TV Title tournament, Ravarian vs The Hooliganz, and more!

ONE … TWO … THRE – London got a foot on the bottom rope! Kaz pulled him up and set him on the turnbuckle for the Flux Capacitor, but London fought him away with big elbows, and he shoved him down! Winners via pinfall: The Hooliganz (8:01)

London and Kendrick celebrated in the ring, and Ravarian were pissed.

Danielson and Christian were backstage, and Danielson asked who Christian had for him to wrestle tonight. Christian said that he had a HUGE surprise, and he’d reveal it to both Danielson and the world NEXT.

--Commercial Break--

Christian Cage and Bryan Danielson came out to the ring, and CC said that Danielson was going to make history right now. At that, Christian Cage called out…

STING~!~!~!~!~!~!~!

Except nobody came out. Danielson looked confused, and Christian said that he always thought these “call outs†worked. He said Sting must be busy, so instead he called out…

ROB VAN DAM~!~!~!~

And still nobody came out. Danielson was pretty mad at this point, and Christian looked upset. He called any one of DDP, Sabu, Awesome Kong, or Ken Shamrock to face Bryan Danielson, but still nobody came out. Danielson said that was embarrassing, and he went to the back. Christian looked pissed, and he followed him to the back as well.

--Commercial Break--

Angelina Love was walking backstage, when she ran into VELVET SKY~. Love asked why she was here, and Sky said that she just talked to Dixie about becoming the next Impact GM.

Rhino tried the Rhino Driver on Abyss, but Abyss shoved him away and caught him back with the Black Hole Slam! But Monty grabbed him for THE POUNCE~!~!~!~! Period. BUT MORGAN GOT MONTY UP AND HIT THE HELLEVATOR! Morgan celebrated, but Rhino ran at him for the GORE~, but Morgan JUMPED over him! Rhino hit the turnbuckle, and stumbled backwards into the CARBON FOOTPRINT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Abyss/Matt Morgan (10:01)

Abyss and Morgan celebrated in the ring, and Matt Morgan vs Monty Brown in the TV Title Semi-Finals was hyped for next week.

In the back, Eric Young went to Robert Roode. He said that since Angle went rogue and Jarrett got destroyed at No Surrender, he supposed that Planet Jarrett was over. He said that Roode should think about putting his own career first this time, and a return to Team Canada would do just that. EY told him to think it over, and he left.

JBL pumped up Burke and Richards for their tag team title match next.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked a little bit about the big momentum that Bailout has had since JBL came and took them under his wing.

Match 3: Booker T/Jay Lethal[c] vs Bailout w/ JBL [TNA Tag Team Championships]
All four guys took turns on the mat, and Booker/Richards turned into a really heated struggle. Richards pulled out some really stiff chops, and Booker T tried to come back with some of his own, but it was actually Richards that had the advantage. Booker T came back with some arm work to take out the chops, and Lethal got in to continue it. It turned into a solid back-and-forth bout, until Burke pulled Booker T to the outside and threw him into the barricade. Lethal ran over and took Burke out with a plancha, but then Davey climbed out to the apron AND KICKED THE SHIT OUT OF LETHAL’S HEAD ON THE FLOOR FUCK.

--Commercial Break--

Lethal tried the Lethal Combination on Burke, but Burke blocked it and shoved him into a HUGE elbow smash from Richards! Booker T grabbed Richards, but he slapped him across the face, and Booker T stumbled back into a big uppercut from Burke! Bailout got him up for the Bankruptcy, but Booker T flailed about to break free. He clotheslined Burke to the outside and scored with a big Superkick to Davey! ONE … TWO … THRE – Davey kicked out! MICK FOLEY~ was walking backstage, and he told Lauren that he had just talked to Dixie Carter about potentially becoming the next General Manager.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Hernandez cut another promo demanding more competitive matches.

Kurt Angle came out and said that he knows he said he was winding down his career, but when there are some ungrateful pieces of shit running their mouths about his country, it makes him stop and rethink his priorities. He said American is a great place where freedom of speech is praised, so he can’t fault Team Canada for trash talking too much, but when they tried to burn the flag at No Surrender, it went too far. He said that he honestly wants to retire, but he can’t with Team Canada around, and that pisses him off even more. Eric Young came down to the ring alone, and the two traded words for a bit. EY ended up taking a cheap shot, and the two brawled around the ring. In the end, it was actually Young who got the upper hand, and he laid out Angle with the Spike Piledriver!

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Tyson Tomko vs Viktor Koslov w/ The Axis Powers [TV Title Semi-Finals]
Tomko bumped him around big time at the start, but when his leg got caught up on the top rope after a failed BEWT~, Koslov took over. He wore at the leg like a maniac, and it played into all of Tomko’s comebacks. The big man finally made some good momentum after his Falling Lariat, and then some big punches. He got Koslov up for the Argentine Neckbreaker, but Koslov slid down and chop blocked him! Tomko fell to the mat, and KOSLOV PUT HIM IN THE RUSSIAN CLOVERLEAF! Tomko struggled, but made it to the ropes fairly easily. Koslov tried to put him back in it, but Tomko kicked him away. Koslov bounced back, right into a Chokebomb! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov kicked out! Tomko measured him up for TEH BEWT~, but when he tried it, Koslov ducked and swept out his bad leg! He went up top and flew off, but Tomko caught him! Chris Sabin came out to the ring again, and this time he brought a ladder with him. He claimed this was the exact ladder that Alex Shelley used to concuss him and slice his skull open. He said that he wanted the truest form of revenge: to do the same ill to Alex as what Alex did to Chris. Angelina Love again came out and said that this was getting rather pathetic, but Shelley still isn’t here. She did say that Alex told her to send a message, and then she slapped him in the face! She went to kick him in the balls, but Shelley caught her leg and then tossed her to the outside! Love regrouped and the floor and then went to the back in a fluster. Sabin celebrated in the ring, BUT THEN TURNED RIGHT AROUND INTO A GORE FROM RHINO! Rhino said that was also a message from Shelley, and he went to the back.

--Commercial Break--

A short hype video for the Styles/Daniels feud played.

Match 5: AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels [#1 Contender’s Match – Special Guest Ref: Samoa Joe]
Lots of big struggles on the mat, but AJ scored with his dropkick sequence. He and Daniels traded strikes up against the ropes, but Daniels whipped him across and caught him coming back with a heel kick! He jumped on him and just started wailing with stiff punches, but Styles threw him off. They went at it with big elbows in the middle of the ring, BUT SAMOA JOE TOOK THEM BOTH OUT WITH A DOUBLE LARIAT! He tossed both guys to the outside, and called for the bell!
No contest (5:05)

Samoa Joe grabbed a microphone and his TNA Title. He said that, as special referee, he has deemed this match a draw due to unforeseen interference. Dixie Carter came out, but before she could talk, Samoa Joe said that he’s not stupid, and he did this on purpose. He said that he’s sick of AJ Styles and he’s sick of Christopher Daniels, and he wants them BOTH in a TRIPLE THREAT TNA CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT BOUND FOR GLORY~!~! Dixie just smiled and said, “you got it,†and then went to the back. Styles and Daniels got up in the ring, and all three stared across the ring at each other to close the show.

The booth welcomed us, and hyped up tonight’s two big matches: Steamboat Jr vs Lance Storm and The Hooliganz vs Los Infernales.

Match 1: Seth Delay vs Davey Richards w/ Burke & JBL
Richards was fucking pissed here, and Nash attributed it to Bailout barely losing in a title match on Impact. Anyway, Delay got murdered, and Davey continued it on even when he easily could have won. After two Bankrupt Drivers, he finally pinned for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Davey Richards (2:17)

Bailout and JBL celebrated to the back.

ONE … TWO … THR – Koslov kicked out! Taylor pulled him up and tried the Twist of Fate, but Koslov pushed him away and caught him coming back with the Red Scare! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Viktor Koslov (2:25)

Koslov kept up his attack, and then spat on Chuck Taylor.

Team Canada was backstage for a promo, and as usual Eric Young did the talking. He said that Kurt Angle deciding to get involved in Team Canada’s business only helped bring attention to their cause, and soon everybody would be forced to recognize their national superiority when they put out Angle like they did to AMW and Chad Collyer.

A pre-taped Alex Shelley promo played, and he said he was currently defending his X-Division Title in Norway, but he was standing right in front of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Anyway, he said that he heard Sabin was looking for his head, but that just wasn’t going to happen.

--Commercial Break--

Matt Morgan was backstage, and he called Monty Brown the most overrated charismatic African since Frederick Douglas. He said he was going to squash him like a bug with his Carbon Footprint, and then go on to beat Tomko at Bound For Glory to become the first ever TNA TV Champion.

Match 3: Jimmy Jacobs vs Brutus Magnus w/ Patrick Schulz
Jacobs showcase, with some brief Magnus offense. Schulz got involved to help Magnus stay in control, but Jacobs eventually hit his Spear, and then the Flying Back Senton to win.
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (5:12)

Jacobs celebrated in the ring.

Bryan Danielson was backstage and he found Chad Collyer. He said he’s been keeping a close eye on different TNA wrestlers, and he’d love for his first ever TNA match to be against Collyer, this Thursday on Impact. Collyer thought about it, and accepted! Taz marked out huge on commentary.

--Commercial Break--

A TJ Perkins hype video played.

Match 4: TJ Perkins/Scott Lost vs Brandon Bonham/Jerome Robinson
Perkins and Bonham started out together, and Bonham used his size to outwork him on the mat. Perkins managed to grab a sleeper while on his back, and he directed him to his corner, where Lost tagged in. They beat Bonham down on their side, but Bonham countered a Lost vertical suplex into one of his own! Robinson got tagged in and brought it with fiery punches, and he topped it all off with a hurricanrana to Lost! ONE … TWO … THR – Perkins made the save! Bonham ran across to attack Perkins, but Perkins lowbridged him to the outside. TJ turned around, and Robinson tried a heel kick, but TJ swatted him down, and as he sat up, Lost hit the Big Fat Kill! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: TJ Perkins/Scott Lost (5:54)

A pre-taped Samoa Joe promo played, and he put over the accomplishments of both AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, but he said that he’s recently beaten both one-on-one, and he’ll have no problem beating them together.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary hyped the contract signing between Joe, Styles, and Daniels this coming Impact.

Match 5: The Hooliganz vs Los Infernales
It started off really slow with some technical mat work, but it turned into a full-on spotfest sprint. Averno tried the Moonsault on Kendrick, but he moved. London got in, and The Hooliganz hit the Sliced Bred #2/Powerbomb combination to win.
Winners via pinfall: The Hooliganz (7:13)

Both teams got up and shook hands, and Londrick celebrated to the back.

Ricky Steamboat Jr was backstage walking toward the ring for his match.

--Commercial Break--

Some footage played going over Lance Storm coming to TNA to help Sean Morley “teach Steamboat a lesson,†along with subsequent buildup.

Match 6: Ricky Steamboat Jr vs Lance Storm w/ Sean Morley
Storm stretched out Ricky on the mat, and every time Ricky looked like he was about to come back, Morley got involved. This was largely Lance being stiff as hell in beating Ricky around, but Little Ricky bumped big. Lance tried to end it with a Superkick, but Ricky caught it and countered with a roundhouse! ONE … TWO … THR – Storm kicked out! Steamboat kept bumping him around big, and he took him to the outside with a Cactus Crossbody!

--Commercial Break--

They were still fighting on the floor, where Morley provided enough of a distraction for Storm to shove him headfirst into the ring post! He rolled Ricky into the ring and worked over his neck on the ring, and then started to throw him around with some suplex to get some nearfalls. He tried a powerbomb, but Ricky used the Billy Kidman Counter! ONE … TWO … THR – Storm kicked out! Ricky went up top, but Morley jumped on the apron! Steamboat got up and celebrated in the ring, but Morley climbed in an attacked him from behind! Lance eventually got up, and they stomped away at him. Lance pulled him up and held him in place as Morley got in his face and screamed at him, “WHO’S YOUR HERO NOW YOU UNGRATEFUL PIECE OF SHIT?!†Morley smacked him across the face and then pulled him away from Storm and hit the Full Nelson Slam. Morley gave him one last kick, before he and Lance went to the back, leaving Little Ricky down in the middle of the ring.

Commentary ran down tonight’s stacked card: Monty Brown vs Matt Morgan, Chris Sabin vs Rhino, Kurt Angle vs Eric Young, Bryan Danielson vs Chad Collyer, and a contract signing between Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels for the Bound For Glory main event!

Apparently Kurt Angle requested this match, so yeah.

Match 1: Kurt Angle vs Eric Young
They wrestled an amateur-style match for a good stretch, and Young actually looked pretty impressive against Angle. Young really went after the arm, and kept frustrating Angle with a basic hammerlock. Angle went after the head and neck in his offense, but nothing much stuck. He finally shrugged off a hammerlock and threw some European Uppercuts, and a heated brawl broke out. It spilled to the outside, where Young eventually drove Angle spine-first! He rolled him into the ring and worked over his back now, but Angle wrestled his way out and come with big punches. He tried an Olympic Slam, but Young rolled through and escaped to the outside, where Tyson Dux and Petey Williams came down to help him regroup.

--Commercial Break--

Things finally picked up in the ring, and Angle was bumping EY around with a good amount of ease. After a series of belly-to-belly suplexes, Angle called for the Olympic Slam, but Young again rolled to the outside! This time, Angle followed up, but a distraction from Dux helped Young hit Side Slam on the floor! He put Angle back in the ring and bumped him around, but when he went for the Northern Lights Suplex, Angle dropped down and put in the Ankle Lock! Young struggled but made it to the ropes. The pace picked up, and both guys saw their own share of being in control and bumping the other guy around. Angle went for the Ankle Lock a second time, but Young pulled him into a roll up! ONE … TWO … TH – Angle got out! They both got up, and Young went to the eyes, and hit a DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Angle kicked out! Young pulled him up and tried the Spike Piledriver, but Angle went to the ankle! He got the Lock in, but Tyson hopped up on the apron! The ref went to get him to get off, and Petey Williams snuck in! POLISH HAMMER TO KURT ANGLE~! Young rolled on top and the ref turned around! ONE … TWO … THR – Angle kicked out! AMW ran down to take on Dux/Petey, and they brawled on the floor. Young looked out at the brawl, and it let Angle sneak up and hit an Olympic Slam! But the ref was watching the brawl too! Angle had to run over and get the ref’s attention, and then he covered! ONE … TWO … THRE – YOUNG KICKED OUT! Angle pulled down the straps, but Tyson Dux slid into the ring! Olympic Slam! Harris slid in after him, and tackled him out! The ref yelled at them all to go to the back, but they kept brawling. Angle turned around, RIGHT INTO A HOCKY STICK TO THE SKULL FROM YOUNG! SPIKE PILEDRIVER! He called for the ref! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Eric Young (15:53)

Commentary, the audience, and Eric Young all reacted to the HUGE upset of Eric Young pinning Kurt Angle! AMW chased Petey and Dux into the ring, where Eric Young met them both with a shot from his hockey stick! Angle got up and tried to grab EY from behind, but Dux and Petey ran up and tackled him to the mat! Team Canada stomped away at Angle and AMW, and then draped a Canadian flag over their downed bodies.

The Hooliganz were backstage and kind of put themselves over as the most exciting tag team in the business today, and so they challenged Booker T and Jay Lethal to a tag team title match!

The big announcement of Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels for the TNA Championship at BFG played.

--Commercial Break--

Lethal and Booker T were backstage, and they accepted Londrick’s challenges! Booker T said that he’s been in the business for a long time, and he knows a big matchup when he sees one, and Booker T and Jay Lethal versus same crazy white boys is a big match. He said this match was a Bound For Glory match if he’s ever seen one, NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT SUCKAAAAS.

Match 2: Monty Brown vs Matt Morgan [TV Title Semi-Finals]
This was slow to start, with typical big man spots and power-offs, but after Monty dominated for a bit, Morgan had a pretty high-speed comeback. Quick clotheslines and rapid-fire punches, and then even a dropkick and a sprinting avalanche into the corner. He went up top for the Blueprint Crossbody, but Monty moved! Morgan staggered up, and Monty hit the Lariat! ONE … TWO … THR – Morgan kicked out! Monty pulled him up and tried the Alpha Bomb, but Morgan shoved him away and caught him by grabbing his throat! By Monty punched him away! Monty tried another Lariat, but Morgan ducked! CHOKESLAM! ONE … TWO … THR – Monty kicked out! Morgan lined up for the Carbon Footprint, but Monty ducked. Morgan bounced off the ropes, RIGHT INTO THE POUNCEEEEEEEE~!~!~! PERIOD~! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (7:03)

Monty Brown shouted some black gibberish and celebrated to the back.

Lauren was backstage and asked Tyson Tomko for his thoughts on Monty brown winning, and therefore facing him at Bound For Glory for the Television Champion. Tomko said he and Monty are 1-1, and he’s wanted to settle the score for a while now, and this is the perfect opportunity.

Clips of various AJ Styles vs Chris Daniels matches played.

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett called into commentary and said that he had e-mailed Dixie about being the next General Manager a couple weeks ago, and he was waiting to hear back. He put himself over as the best man for the job given his history in TNA. Don West said that he heard Karen Angle had also put her name in the running, and then Jarrett hung up the phone.

Match 3: Jimmy Jacobs vs Dave Taylor
Some fancy mat work at the top, but it eventually turned into a Jacobs showcase. He nailed the Detroit Code and went up, but Hernandez came out and pull Jacobs off the top, then attacked both guys.
No contest due to interfere (4:42)

Hernandez kept beating down both guys, BUT HOMICIDE RAN DOWN MTFO WHAT YES YES YES! Hernandez tried to meet him with a big forearm, but Homicide ducked it and came off the ropes with a flying elbow! He bounced off the ropes and hit another one! He hit a third! He ran off the ropes and hit the West Brooklyn Lariat, AND HERNANDEZ WENT DOWN! Hernandez rolled to the outside, BUT HOMICIDE RAN AND TOOK HIM OUT WITH A TOPE CON HILO~! Hernandez shoved him away to create some space, but Homicide tackled him into the announce booth! Hernandez tried to get away, BUT HOMICIDE NAILED HIM IN THE FACE WITH A TV MONITOR! Hernandez was busted open, AND HOMICIDE PULLED OUT A FORK FROM HIS TRUNKS! He grabbed Hernandez’s skull and motioned that he was going to stab Hernandez, but Hernandez shoved him away and SPRINTED to the back! Homicide had a crazed look in his eye and the crowd was going nuts!

Clips of AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe matches played.

--Commercial Break--

Footage of Homicide returning to attack Hernandez played, and then it cut to Homicide talking with Lauren in the back. He was fucking pissed, and he said that Hernandez is the most overrated sack of shit to embark on a singles career. He said that anybody could get an undefeated streak when facing the guys that Hernandez has been facing for a year, but he’s never faced a crazy motherfucker quite like Homicide, and that spells the end for his Streak.

Chad Collyer came to the ring for his match with Bryan Danielson. Christian Cage came out first and gave tons of hype for the next big thing, Bryan Danielson. Danielson came out to “Final Countdown†and the crowd went nuts. Danielson and Collyer lined up in the ring, but before the match could start, Robert Roode came out!

He said Jarrett told him to inform Danielson that, since he still hasn’t signed a TNA wrestling contract, he would cause serious legal problems for TNA if he were to wrestle, so this match can’t happen. Collyer and especially Danielson were both pissed. Cage got in the ring and said that he just thought of a great first match for Danielson: a “special appearance†match versus Roode at Bound For Glory … with a TNA contract on the line! Roode laughed, and said he’d talk it over with Jarrett, and he left.

Ravarian went to Dixie’s office and said that it was garbage that The Hooliganz get to face Lethal and Booker for the tag team titles at BFG, despite never even having held the titles. Dixie said she’s been toying with an idea, and now might be a good time to go through with it. In order to showcase TNA’s tag team division, there would be an open-invitational Tag Team Turmoil, and Ravarian were now officially the first team in it. Ravarian looked confused, but just went with it.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about Dixie’s newly announced Tag Team Turmoil, and the potential tag teams we could see at Bound For Glory.

Match 5: Ravarian vs The Young Bucks
Formulaic back-and-forth match. The Young Bucks had several nearfalls, but Max fell victim to the Restoration to lose.

Match 4: Chris Sabin vs Rhino w/ Angelina Love

Rhino finally got a hold of him and tossed him around some, but he spun out of a Pumphandle Slam and countered with a Falling Reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Rhino kicked out! Sabin pulled him up and tried the Cradle Shock, but he couldn’t lift the bigger man! Rhino clubbed away and tried a powerbomb, but Sabin floated over and landed on the apron. Rhino charged at him, but Sabin moved to the side, and Rhino spilled to the outside, AND SABIN FOLLOWED UP WITH A MOONSAULT TO RHINO ON THE OUTSIDE!

--Commercial Break--

Sabin was still bouncing Rhino in the ring, but Angelina Love grabbed his leg, and he turned around into Running Shoulderblock from Rhino! Rhino took over with a basic beatdown, targeting the back. He went for the Gore, but Sabin leapt over and caught him coming back with a Superkick! Rhino stumbled in place, and Sabin tried the Cradle Shock, but he couldn’t lift up Rhino with his hurt back. Instead his hit some big elbows, AND THEN HIT THE SHELLSHOCK! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Chris Sabin (10:06)

Sabin immediately rolled to the outside of the ring and pulled a ladder out from under the ring! He shouted that now HE had a message for Shelley, and he proceeded to hit Rhino repeatedly with the ladder! He got on the mic and said that he liked this weapon, and officially challenged Alex Shelley to an X-Division Title Ladder match at Bound For Glory!

Clips from the classic three-way X-Division match between Joe, Styles, and Daniels from Unbreakable 2005 played, in which Styles won to win Daniels’ X-Division title.

--Commercial Break--

Dixie Carter was out in the ring for the contract signing, and she warned the Joe, Styles, and Daniels to remain civil before they came out. She then invited them to come out, and they did so separately. She told them that they each had the opportunity to speak their minds, and then they could sign the contract.

Chris Daniels spoke first. He talked about he returned to TNA in 2009 to fulfill his destiny of winning the TNA World Championship. He said that he did that at Destination X 2009, but it was stolen from him due to power-hungry individuals. He said that after that, he went on a quest to find himself and establish himself a legacy, and he’s done just that. He’s learned that he is morally superior to either of these two, and that his journey is just, and his followers will attest to that. He argued that TNA is where it is today because of the three of them, and somehow, he’s the only one of the three here that has never won the TNA Championship, and that is a travesty of justice. He pointed at that in their last classic three-way at Unbreakable 2005, he stood tall, and he won the X-Division Championship, and that was a prophecy fulfilled. He promised to fulfill another prophecy at Bound For Glory, one that has been two years coming: Christopher Daniels, TNA Champion of the World.

Styles spoke next. He said that he spent a year-and-a-half fighting off those “power-hungry individuals†that Chris Daniels spoke of, in order to defend TNA and what it stands for: good, wholesome wrestling. He asked what thanks he got from Joe, from Daniels, or from TNA management, and the answer is none. He won the TNA Championship last Bound For Glory, and it was robbed from him by the newly formed Planet Jarrett. Since then, he’s had to fight his way back up the ladder and prove that 2010 AJ is the same as 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, and 2002 AJ: The best in the world. He said that this BFG would end in the same way; that is, AJ Styles standing tall as TNA Champion.

Samoa Joe spoke next, and he said that he doesn’t like to talk much, because his fists do the talking. He told AJ that if he wrestles to get “thank youâ€s, then he’s in the business for the wrong reasons. He told Daniels that 2005 was a long time ago, and Samoa Joe has grown faster than either of them. He said he could make all the promises, all the commitments, and all the prophecies in the world, but at the end of the day, the world will see which of them is best by the end of the night on October 10. Joe said he wanted this three-way because he couldn’t decide which of their asses he wanted to kick more, and so he figured the best bet was to kick both at the same time. He signed the contract, and told them to do the same.

Daniels signed next, and then got in AJ’s face, and dropped the pen at his feet. Styles just laughed, pushed him away, picked up the pen, and then signed. He got in Daniels’ face, and they mouthed off, but Joe got between them and started talking shit too. Daniels started to walk away, BUT HE TURNED BACK AND PUNCHED THEM BOTH. A huge brawl broke up, and security ran out to break it up. They all kept breaking free and going at it, rinse, and repeat. Cameras got thrown and punches were stiff. WE GOTTA GO, FOLKS~!

He tried to put in the Britannic Bow and Arrow, but Max elbowed out and pulled out a tilt-a-whirl headscissors, then made the hot tag! Ravarian was watching backstage, and they scoffed at the Redcoats. They turned to the camera and cut a promo about how they’re a part of the most dominant stable in the company, and as such they’re the most dominant tag team in the company, and the world will see as much at BFG.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Sean Morley/Lance Storm vs Ricky Steamboat Jr
The heels beat Ricky down at the start, but when the ref forced Lance to the apron, Steamboat raged on Morley with sharp chops and stiff kicks. He bumped him around some, but a distraction from Storm let Morley capitalize with a back suplex. They took over and kept him grounded for the most part, and kept cutting off his comebacks by distractions and cheating. He managed to get on a roll with chops and arm drags to Storm, but when he tried the Dragon Suplex, Morley stormed the ring. He punched at Ricky, but when he tried a clothesline, Ricky ducked, and MORLEY HIT LANCE! Steamboat dropkicked Morley to the outside! Storm stumbled up, and Ricky climbed up top! FLYING CROSSBO – NO! Morley laughed, threw the chair on the mat, AND DDT’d RICKY ON IT! Lance seemed to like it, so he pulled Ricky up and did the same thing! Ricky was busted open, but they kept punching at him until officials pulled them up and forced them to the back. Some refs tried to help Ricky to the back, but he refused their help and he stumbled up the ramp by himself.

--Commercial Break--

A bloody Steamboat Jr was backstage alone with a camera. He was pissed. He told Morley and Lance to be on Impact this week, because they were in store for a big surprise.

Daniels got in his face and told him to NEVER speak out of line again, but said that he would indeed be his partner tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Chris Sabin/Jimmy Jacobs vs Rhino/TJ Perkins
Sabin and Perkins started off with some fun mat work, but then it turned into a formulaic tag match, with Sabin and Jimmy bouncing around Perkins and Rhino at times, but Jacobs was isolated after missing the Detroit Code. Winner via pinfall: Ricky Steamboat Jr (3:04)

Steamboat Jr celebrated in the ring, but Sean Morley and Lance Storm made their way out! They cornered Ricky in the ring, but instead of fighting, Ricky asked for a microphone. He said that Sean has been freaking out on Xplosion about having been Ricky’s “hero,†and now he’s lost that. He said that, yeah, Sean was a mentor to him, but he was never a hero. Morley said that everybody’s got a hero, and Ricky agreed. But it was never Sean Morley. It’s always been this man …

--Commercial Break--

Robert Roode was walking backstage, and Dixie walked up to him. She asked him if he thought about him versus Danielson at BFG, and Roode laughed. He said that he and Jarrett decided not to pursue the idea because Danielson doesn’t even deserve a shot at a contract. Tomko tackled Monty to the outside, and the two brawled around on the floor. Christian pulled Roode up in the ring and tried an Unprettier, but Roode shoved him forward, AND HIT THE NORTHERN LARIAT! He yanked Christian up and HITH THE PAYOFF! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Monty Brown (7:48)

Tomko and Monty kept brawling up the ramp, and Roode celebrated like crazy in the ring. Commentary put over the fact that Roode just pinned a 3-time TNA Champion, as Christian rolled out and looked pissed, and Danielson followed behind.

--Commercial Break--

Young found Roode in the back and congratulated him on pinning Cage. Roode thanked him, and Young again mentioned joining Team Canada, and Roode said he was still considering it.

Joe/Homicide and Daniels/Kazarian came out first. AJ Styles then came out and introduced his partner … SEAN HERNANDEZ~! Homicide immediately jumped out of the ring and sprinted up the ramp at Hernandez, and the two fought on the stage! Joe tried to call ‘Cide back, and Styles tried to break it up, but the guys fought to the back! The camera cut backstage where security was trying to split them up. Styles continued down to the ring, and both he and Joe were irate.

The referee was going to start the match with Joe and Styles having no partners, but Styles stopped him. He grabbed a mic, and then told Joe that, since he was sorry for picking Hernandez and messing this up, but he had an idea. He suggested that they team up to take on Daniels and Kazarian in a tag team match. Joe thought about it, and hesitantly agreed! Daniels and Kaz looked pissed, and Daniels called for some backup.

Match 6: Samoa Joe/AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels/Frankie Kazarian w/ The Enlightened
Joe and AJ had trouble getting on the same page, so the heels ran stuff up front. Kaz actually got a really impressive control segment on AJ, aided by outside interference. Styles got off his dropkick sequence on Kaz, then tried the Styles Clash, but Kazarian body dropped away, and got off a big jumping high kick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Styles kicked out! Kaz pulled him up and tried the Wave of the Future, but Styles spun out and hit a big roundhouse. He went out to the apron and tried a springboard move, BUT DANIELS PULLED HIS LEG! Styles nailed the apron and then flopped to the mat, and Daniels and Kazarian beat at him. Joe came in the ring and ran off the ropes for an ELBOW SUICIDA~!~!

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe was bumping Daniels around in the ring, but he gouged out of a Death Valley Driver, and tagged in Kazarian. Joe beat him around pretty easily, and Styles got in to do the same. They went into a contest of one-upping each other at Kazarian’s expense, until Elix Skipper grabbed Joe’s leg during a Muscle Buster, and Kaz countered into a falling neckbreaker! He tagged in Daniels, who went at Joe’s neck like a maniac. Joe made aggressive comebacks, but the Enlightened worked together behind the ref’s back to help stop him. Stuff happened, and eventually Styles took out The Enlightened on the floor with his Fosbury Flop! Joe got Kaz up for the Muscle Buster, but Daniels chop blocked him to take him down. He tried to put on a leg bar, but Joe kicked him away, into Kaz! They both charged at Joe, but he ducked and took them out with a double clothesline! Joe had Kaz alone in the ring, and he hit the Muscle Buster, then locked in the Coquina Clutch. Daniels tried to save, but Styles cut him off with a Missile Dropkick, and Kaz tapped!
Winners via submission: Samoa Joe/AJ Styles (14:48)

Samoa Joe and AJ Styles got up and celebrated in the ring. Joe held his belt up in the air, and Styles was perfectly placed behind him to attack, but Joe turned around. WAS AJ GOING TO TAKE THE CHEAP SHOT?! We will never know, BECAUSE DANIELS SLID IN AND ATTACKED THEM BOTH. All three guys brawled around the ring, and eventually the Enlightened got involved! They all laid out both Styles and Joe, and then Daniels held up the TNA World Championship to close the show.

Kevin Nash opened up the show and called himself the next General Manager of TNA, and then ran down a list of his credentials, before Taz interrupted him and switched his attention to the show at hand.

Match 1: Shane Sewell vs Sonjay Dutt w/ Bashir & Saeed
Lots of high-flying, and Dutt won after his Sprinkler Elbow, and then the Hindu Press.
Winner via pinfall: Sonjay Dutt (4:06)

--Commercial Break--

Apparently Chuck Taylor requested a match with Viktor Koslov, but he refused, so he was booked against Magnus instead.

Match 2: Chuck Taylor vs Brutus Magnus w/ The Axis Powers
Magnus jumped him at the bell and wore him out on the mat for a while, before Chuck ducked under a clothesline and came off the ropes with a sloppy but effective crossbody! ONE … TWO … TH – Magnus kicked out! Taylor pulled him up and tried a suplex, but Magnus blocked it and countered with one of his own. He continued the beatdown, but Taylor scored with a Running Neckbreaker off the ropes! He mounted a fiery comeback, but Koslov jumped on the apron to cause a distraction. Magnus was able to grab Taylor from behind and nail a big belly-to-back suplex. He pulled him up and hit the Italian Stallion Kick to win.
Winner via pinfall: Brutus Magnus (5:42)

The Powers all got in the ring and celebrated, and when Taylor got up, they attacked! Koslov hit his Red Scare, and they celebrated to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor was backstage, and he looked very sad. A janitor friend came up and told him to forget the Powers, and come get beers after the show. Taylor said he didn’t feel like it, and he walked away.

Match 3: The James Gang vs Los Infernales
So much taunting by the James Gang, who were clearly just excited to be on TV in a match. When action was taking place, it was mostly the luchadores bumping the Gang around. Averno got isolated for a bit, but he dodged the Fameasser, and ran up the corner for a Moonsault to a standing Kip! ONE … TWO … THR – BG made the save! Mephisto rushed the ring and took out BG with a running hurricanrana! Kip grabbed him from behind and tried a suplex, but Mephisto flipped through and kicked him into a Sitout Facebuster from Averno! Averno went up top and hit a Moonsault, and Mephisto stood guard! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Los Infernales (5:54)

The luchas celebrated in the ring, and commentary put them over as serious contenders to win Tag Team Turmoil.

--Commercial Break--

Bailout was backstage with JBL, and they said that there was no way that some Mexicans or some Emos or some Brits or some generic mat wrestlers were going to win Tag Team Turmoil, and they sure weren’t scared of some random names that may be signed for the match. They said that you can bet your entire hedge fund that Bailout has this one in the bag.

Clips of Joe/AJ vs Daniels/Kaz from Impact played, and commentary reacted to how well Joe and AJ worked together.

Footage from Impact played of Ricky Steamboat Jr calling out Sean Morley and Lance Storm, along with his legendary father, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat coming to rescue played. Taz then said that he had the honor of announcing that The Steamboats vs Sean Morley/Lance Storm had been added to the Bound For Glory card!

Morley and Lance were backstage, and they said they were honored to be booked in a match against Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, yet having to be on TNA’s biggest show against a punk like Little Ricky was disgusting.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Jimmy Jacobs vs TJ Perkins
They started with some really heated mat work and some big struggles, but Jacobs eventually took advantage after sticking some big kicks to the arm, and then working over that limb. Perkins created some space with some elbows, and then kicked at Jacobs’ knee, and went after that. They traded limb work, but when Jacobs went for a high-angle fujiwara armbar, Perkins slid to the outside. He tried to take a break, BUT JACOBS FOLLOWED UP WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!!

--Commercial Break--

Jacobs was bumping Perkins around in the ring, but Perkins scored with some wild punches, and this soon degenerated into a big brawl, with very few holds or throws, and predominantly strikes. After a while, Jacobs started to wear out Perkins, and he scored with a series of stiff elbows. Perkins reeled in place, and Jacobs came off the ropes for a Spear! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (10:56)

Jimmy Jacobs celebrated in the ring to close the show.

Match 1: Brian Kendrick w/ Paul London vs Jay Lethal w/ Booker T
Kendrick and Lethal went to the mat to start, and Lethal mostly grounded Kendrick and stuck to a side headlock. Kendrick started to fly around, but Lethal pulled him back and stretched him out on the mat, and generally followed advice/commands from Booker T from the floor. Kendrick kept reversing stuff, and he pulled out a Flying Forearm. He pulled Lethal up and tried a hurricanrana, but Lethal shoved him away and decided to drop the mat stuff and go with high-flying instead. A dropkick sent Kendrick to the mat, and Lethal tried a Baseball Slide, but Kendrick moved, and Lethal slid to the outside! He stood up, and Kendrick tried a plancha, but Lethal moved, but Kendrick landed on the apron! He leapt off with a Moonsault and connected with Lethal on the floor!

--Commercial Break--

They went back-and-forth in the ring, and it increased in intensity and all that. They traded a bunch of nearfalls, and this was fairly general. Kendrick tried the Sliced Bread #2, but Lethal shoved him off and hit an enzuigiri to the back of the head! Kendrick staggered in place, and Lethal ran off the ropes for an Axe Kick, but Kendrick moved and got him with a hurricanrana! ONE … TWO … THR – Lethal kicked out! Kendrick pulled him up and tried a Brainbuster, but Lethal floated over and tried a Tiger Suplex, but Kendrick elbowed out, and turned it right into a Sliced Bread #2 attempt, again blocked by Lethal. He tried the Lethal Combination, but Kendrick punched away AND HIT A SUPERKICK! He went up top! SHOOTING STAR PR – Lethal rolled out! He climbed up top! LETHAL ELBOW! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jay Lethal (13:42)

Lethal and Booker T celebrated up the ramp.

Backstage, Dixie Carter said that she was impressed by the way that AJ Styles and Samoa Joe worked together last week, so tonight she has booked them together again, along with Christopher Daniels in a six-man tag against Team Canada! Additionally, for the first time in nearly a year, THE MOTOR CITY MACHINEGUNS WOULD TEAM UP AGAINST RAVARIAN. It’s a night of strange bedfellows, and it’s going to be a night to remember.

--Commercial Break--

Samoa Joe was backstage with Lauren, and he said that he was looking forward to teaming with Styles and Daniels tonight, because that’s the best way for them to see that Joe is the best among them.

Match 2: America’s Most Wanted vs TJ Perkins/Scott Lost
Basic showcase for AMW, but Perkins did a good amount of trolling. He and Lost had Harris in their corner for a bit, but it just let Harris run through his offense on him, then make the hot tag. Storm cleaned house and then hit Perkins with the Eye of the Storm. Harris got back in and they hit Lost with the Death Sentence! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: America’s Most Wanted (5:50)

AMW celebrated in the ring, but Team Canada ran down and attacked! Angle rushed down to even the odds, and the Americans sent the Canucks packing.

Ricky “The Dragon†Steamboat found Dixie Carter backstage and said that he thinks he’d be a good GM for Impact. Carter thanked him, but said that she had already decided on the next Impact GM, and she would announce it NEXT WEEK~!

--Commercial Break--

Booker T and Jay Lethal were talking backstage, and Booker said that just can’t lose the tag team titles on Sunday. Lethal agreed, but Booker told him that he doesn’t quite understand the severity of the situation, and that he NEEDS to win at BFG. Lethal was confused, and Booker said he’d explain when there were no cameras around.

Sean Morley and Lance Storm came down to the ring, and cut a promo saying that their problem is with Ricky Jr, not the legendary Dragon. They said that it was going to be a dream come true to step into the ring with Ricky “The Dragon,†and then they called him out. He did come out, and Sean and Lance talked him up some more. Ricky thanked them, but he was skeptical. Sean then got serious and said that there was one flaw in him … he raised a little bitch for a son. Steamboat got stern as hell and got in Morley’s face, AND LANCE ATTACKED STEAMBOAT! They stomped and punched at him, BUT LITTLE RICKY RAN DOWN AND MADE THE SAVE! He chucked Storm to the outside, and then dropkicked Morley to floor! He helped his dad up in the ring, and they taunted Morley/Lance from there.

A pre-taped Homicide promo played. He said that both he and Hernandez were banned from the arena until Bound For Glory, but he would still get his point across. He said that Hernandez has gotten a big head since this undefeated streak, and it’s time that somebody pop that ego by ending the streak. He put over the poetic justice of his former best friend being the one to beat it, and said that BFG would have a storybook ending, with a badass David toppling a dumbass Goliath.

--Commercial Break--

A pre-taped Hernandez promo. He put over his streak, and said that his singles run has shown that Homicide was holding him back the whole time during their time in LAX. He said that he first joined TNA in 2003, and he’s just now starting to get attention, and he blames that solely on Homicide holding him back. He said that Bound For Glory was going to be ugly, because he was going to put Homicide down and out for good.

Some Tag Team Turmoil hype. Commentary said that TNA had signed the Briscoes for the Turmoil match at BFG, and they were competing tonight on a “special appearance†basis.

Match 3: The James Gang vs The Briscoe Brothers
The James Gang did not take them seriously at all, which proved dangerous when Jay started slapping the shit out of Kip in the corner. He and Mark isolated him and stomped the fag out of him, but he ducked a Springboard Crossbody from Jay and tagged in BG. He tossed Jay around a bit, but he eventually got off a Reverse STO, then tagged in Mark. Both brothers knocked around Kip and BG, and Kip ate a Springboard Doomsday Device to lose.
Winners via pinfall: The Briscoe Brothers (5:02)

--Commercial Break--

Some clips of interviews by Tomko and Monty played, saying why they each wanted to be the first every TNA Television Champion. Monty’s wasn’t really coherent.

Match 4: Tyson Tomko/Matt Morgan vs Monty Brown/Viktor Koslov
Tomko and Morgan worked together to clean house at the start, and they really tossed Koslov around. They tried a double chokeslam, but Monty tackled them both from behind! Morgan got worked over, and Koslov was really aggressive in working over his leg to keep him down, while Monty used his power. He finally chucked Koslov away and hit a big chokeslam, then tagged in Tomko! He cleaned house, and hit the Chokebomb on Koslov! ONE … TWO … THR – Monty made the save! Tomko got worked on, but he fought back more quickly, and chucked Monty to the outside. He tried the Argentine Neckbreaker on Koslov, but Monty grabbed his legs, and Koslov turned it into a lateral press, with Monty holding the legs! ONE … TWO … THRE – Tomko kicked out! He laid out Koslov with a powerbomb, and then tagged in Morgan, then went to the outside to brawl with Monty! In the ring, Morgan immediately went up top and hit the Blueprint Crossbody on Koslov! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Tyson Tomko/Matt Morgan (7:28)

Tomko and Monty continued to fight on the floor, until Tomko laid him out with TEH BEWT~!

Bryan Daniels was hanging out backstage with Strong and Collyer. He left them to go meet up with Christian, but Roode attacked him from around a corner! He tossed him into the wall and talked some trash, but some backstage officials pulled him away.

--Commercial Break--

Ravarian cut a promo from the ring about how they were going to show their tag team supremacy at BFG in the Tag Team Turmoil. MCMG never came out, and the camera cut to the stage right behind the curtain to find Shelley and Sabin going at it! They punched the shit out of each other, and it spilled out to the ring. They kept fight, and Rhino came out to help, but Jacobs ran down and fought Rhino to the back! Shelley and Sabin kept brawling, and officials spilled out to break it up. It got violent and shit, and they beat up a bunch of referees to get at each other, and Shelley ended up bashing Sabin in the skull with the X-Division Championship. Shelley then set up a ladder on the stage and posed on it with the title as officials held Sabin back in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Robert Roode/Sean Waltman vs Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong
Roode and Collyer went on the mat, and then Roode and Strong did. Roode eventually fell to the numbers, because Waltman had no desire to get in. The faces had fun stretching him out, and then bumped him around, but he managed to block a Sidewalk Backbreaker from Strong and connect with a falling arm breaker. Waltman got in now, and the two worked over Strong’s arm in brutal fashion for Roode and lazy fashion for Waltman. Waltman tried the Comedown, but Strong countered into a Alabama Slam! Collyer got tagged in and cleaned house with clotheslines and then big suplexes. He tried the Everest German on Roode, but he elbowed away and hit a Snap DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Collyer kicked out! Roode signaled for the end, but Bryan Danielson made his way down! Roode shouted at him, and the distraction let Collyer hit a Gargoyle Suplex! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode kicked out! He rolled away and tagged in Waltman, who went up top and came flying off, but Collyer caught him. He tossed him back for a belly-to-belly, AND HIS BACK LANDED ON STRONG’S PERFECTLY PLACED KNEE! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (6:42)

Collyer and Strong celebrated in the ring, and Danielson joined them. All three celebrated, but Roode snuck back in and took Danielson out with the Northern Lariat!

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Christopher Daniels vs Team Canada
The main eventers bumped them around and tried to show each other up at the start for a good bit. Eric Young eventually turned the tide with big shots to Christopher Daniels and nearly got the surprising win after Dux took a cheap shot from the apron and EY got off the Northern Lights Suplex! Daniels got all flustered and pissed off, and he tagged out to AJ Styles, but then left the ring and stormed to the back! 2 vs 3! We have to take a break!

--Commercial Break--

Joe and Styles were doing just fine on their own until outside distractions got to them, and they both were isolated for certain periods. It was pretty basic for a while, but eventually things got out of hand a big brawl broke out. Petey Williams had the ref distracted, and Tyson Dux lined up to hit Samoa Joe with the hockey stick, BUT KURT ANGLE AND AMERICA’S MOST WANTED RAN DOWN! They chased Dux out of the ring, but Petey jumped on them from the apron! The ref about threw out the match, but EY kept his attention. But why?! IN THE RING! CHRIS DANIELS SNUCK IN! ANGEL’S WINGS TO SAMOA JOE! ERIC YOUNG COVERED! ONE … TWO … THRE – AJ STYLES BROKE IT UP! Young smacked AJ in the face and tried the Spike Pilediver, BUT AJ COUNTERED INTO THE STYLES CLASH! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe/Christopher Daniels (13:20)

Styles and Joe celebrated in the ring, but when Joe grabbed his TNA Championship, Styles looked across the ring at it. He got in Joe’s face, but before anything could happen, the Team Canada/AMW and Angle brawl spilled into the ring! In all the hubbub, Daniels snuck back down and attacked Styles and Daniels! EVERYBODY FOUGHT IN THE RING AND AROUND THE FLOOR! WE’RE OUTTA TIME! WE’LL SEE YOU SUNDAY!

Commentary hyped tonight’s card, with four huge matches the night before Bound For Glory VI!

Match 1: The Redcoats/Jihad vs The Young Bucks/No Limit
Every single guy got good time to showcase, and then each team got to show off some tag team moves. Dissension in the heel team let The Young Bucks hit the MMMBop Neckbreaker on Bashir for the win.
Winners via pinfall: The Young Bucks/No Limit (6:35)

The faces celebrated their HUGE win over the more established teams, and then they took their celebration to the back. Jihad got up in the ring and looked disappointed in the ring, and so The Redcoats laid them out for being pinned.

Roode JUST kicked out, but it was too late! Collyer couldn’t believe it! He regrouped with Strong on the ramp, and they were both in shock! Roode threw a tantrum in the ring, and Danielson was cracking up at ringside! Roode went to chase after him, but he ducked up the ramp and celebrated with his friends Collyer and Strong to the back.

EXCITEMENT~!~!~!~!~!~!~! OMFG WOWOWOW! Commentary was Mike Tenay, Jim Cornette, and Taz tonight, and they welcomed us to the PPV.

Little Wayne Skype’d in from jail to sing the National Anthem for the show.

Back to commentary, they hyped this up as the biggest show of the year for TNA, and the Super Bowl of professional wrestling. They guaranteed a memorable night, and they hyped up the entire card.

From ringside, Jeremy Borash described the rules for Tag Team Turmoil: two teams start off, and when one is beaten, another team will replace them. This will continue until all of the participating have come out, and the winning team is the one left standing.

Match 1: Tag Team Turmoil
Starting bout: The Redcoats vs The Young Bucks
The Young bucks immediately tossed The Redcoats to the floor and followed up with stereo corkscrew planchas. They went back into the ring, but Taylor and Williams quickly took over with stiff strikes and brutal mat work. Max Buck got off a springboard wheel kick and went up top for a missile dropkick, but Doug moved out of the way, then hit him with the Chaos Theory to get the pin.
Eliminated: The Young Bucks (2:15)

Williams and Taylor waited around for a bit for the next entrants, until out came … SHELTON BENJAMIN AND CHARLIE HAAS OH SHIT.

Next participants: World’s Greatest Tag Team (2:20)
WGTT immediately just started bumping them around with big suplexes. It went back-and-forth for a couple minutes, but Haas scored with a huge gutwrench suplex to Williams, and he rolled to the outside. Taylor suffered the German Suplex/Superkick combination to lose.
Eliminated: The Redcoats (5:40)

Next participants: Jihad (5:40)
The quasi-terrorists came right in started literally running around the ring and jumping off the ropes. Dutt tried a springboard hurricanrana, but Benjamin countered it into a powerbomb. Bashir tried an enzuigiri, but Haas ducked it AND PUT IN THE HAAS OF PAIN~! Bashir quickly tapped.
Eliminated: Jihad (6:10)

Next participants: The James Gang (6:10)
BG and Kip used some cheap tricks to take over for a bit, and they had a really aggressive beatdown of Haas. He came back pretty quickly, and this was mostly some more of a showcase for WGTT. Haas did get hit with the Pumphandle Slam at one point and so his back was giving him problems, but Benjamin hit BG with the T-Bone to pin him shortly thereafter.
Eliminated: The James Gang (7:54)

Next participants: Chad Collyer/Roderick Strong (7:54)
Really fucking awesome mat wrestling from all four guys. Collyer and Strong took the advantage, probably due to WGTT being more fatigued. Collyer blocked a T-Bone Suplex from Benjamin, and hit one of his own! Strong got in and worked over his back, and they had him isolated for a while. He floated out of a vertical suplex from Collyer and did his falling neckbreaker counter, and tagged in Haas! He cleaned house, and soon all four guys were just going balls to the wall. End came when Benjamin did his super black guy jump to the top and pulled Strong down with a tossing suplex! He got up, but he walked right into a Gargoyle Suplex from Collyer! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Eliminated: World’s Greatest Tag Team (14:02)

Next participants: The Briscoe Brothers (14:02)
The Briscoes ran right in and started punching the shit out of both Collyer and Strong. Roddy stepped up and traded strikes with Jay, but he got caught him in the corner after missing a Mafia Kick, and the Briscoes took over. They just generally beat the shit out of him, but Strong got a flash backslide! ONE … TWO … THR – Jay got out! Mark got in the ring and charged, but Roddy caught him and hit an STO Backbreaker! He tagged in Collyer, and the two guys cleaned house. They hit their Belly-to-Belly/Backbreaker Combination on Mark, and covered to win.
Eliminated: The Briscoe Brothers (18:48)

Next participants: The Smokin’ Gunns (18:48)
Bart Gunn tried a big right hook, but Collyer ducked and knocked him out with a punch of his own. Kip got pinned by the Strong Backbreaker.
Eliminated: The Smokin’ Gunns (19:01)

Next participants: Ravarian (19:01)
Ravarian was slow to get in the ring, and when they did they lured Strong to their corner and kept him isolated with aggressive neck work. He managed to catch a Jimmy Rave flying crossbody and hit a rolling backbreaker, then tagged in Collyer! He cleaned house with big suplexes and got off a Gargoyle Suplex on Kaz! ONE … TWO … THRE – Rave broke it up! Collyer tried a German on him, but he elbowed away and dropped him with a DDT! Kazarian dragged him to the heel corner, where he was isolated for a bit. Kaz tried the Wave of the Future, but Collyer spun out and hit a big belly-to-belly! He crawled over to make the hot tag, but Kaz made the tag first, and Rave cut off the tag! He tried the All the Rave, but Collyer pushed him away and hit a big lariat! He almost made the tag again, but Kazarian ran across and knocked Strong off the apron! Collyer grabbed Kaz from behind and hit the Everest German, but then he stood up right into the All the Rave! ONE … TWO … THREE!

Young went to the eyes early and tried the Spike Piledriver, but Storm pushed him away and caught him back with a big spinebuster! Harris got in, and AMW did a number on Young’s back, but he managed to break free and tag out to Tyson Dux. He got some brief offense in on Harris, but Angle got in and ruled shit. He tossed Dux around like he was nothing, and then signaled for the Olympic Slam. He tried for it, but Dux scouted it and rolled to the outside for a rest. Angle went to follow him to the outside, but Dux saw it coming and drove him into the apron! Petey took a cheap shot from the outside, and Angle stumbled back into a roll-up from Dux! ONE … TWO … THR – Angle got out! Dux tried to fight him into the Sharpshooter, but Angle wrestled away AND GOT HIM IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Dux struggled but made it to the ropes, and pulled himself all the way out to the floor again. His stablemates got down to help him regroup, but Angle followed them out and took all three on! They started to beat him down, but AMW ran across the ring! STEREO AMW PLANCHAS YEAH! Storm chucked Dux into the ring, where he walked into the Olympic Slam! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Eliminated: Tyson Dux (6:46)
Petey Williams rushed in and started putting boots to Angle, but he overestimated his strength when trying power moves, and Angle struck back. He got off a side suplex, and tagged in a fresh Chris Harris, who came in on fire. He bumped Petey around big, and then bumped Young around when he charged the ring. Young rolled out but came back in to sneak up on Harris, but Storm climbed in and cut him off! Petey stumbled up in the ring, and Harris pulled him up for the Catatonic, but Petey spun through and countered midair into a tilt-a-whirl -> victory roll! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Eliminated: Chris Harris (8:02)
Harris was in disbelief, and even Petey was shocked! Petey flexed his muscles in celebration, but Young told him to focus on the match. He turned around, to a huge flurry of strikes from James Storm! He bumped him around, but Young got a blind tag in. Storm called for the Eight Second Ride on Petey, but Young got him with a roll-up with tights! ONE … TWO … THRE – Storm JUST kicked out! Young tried to put him into the Sharpshooter, but Storm powered away and caught him back with a HUGE jumping backbreaker! He called for the end, but EY saw the Eight Second Ride coming and tagged out to Petey! He immediately came in for a springboard, but Storm caught him in midair! EIGHT SECOND RI – NO! Petey did the same tilt-a-whirl -> victory roll counter! ONE … TWO … THRE – STORM KICKED OUT! Petey ran off the ropes and tried the POLISH HAMMER~, but Storm ducked! He kicked Petey in the gut! EYE OF THE STORM! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Eliminated: Petey Williams (11:04)
Eric Young slowly climbed in the ring and was all “oh, shit” when he saw that it was him versus Angle and Storm. He challenged them both to come at him, so they did, but then he made the ref force Angle to the apron. While doing that, Young snuck in a low blow to Storm! Snap DDT! He called the ref around! ONE … TWO … TH – Angle pulled Young off and smacked him in the face! Young struck back and they got into a tussle, but the ref split it up. Young was pissed, but turned around into a HUGE right hand from James Storm! ONE … TWO … THR – Young kicked out! Both guys were down for a while. Storm tried for the tag, but Young cut him off with a Belly-to-Back Suplex! He pulled him up and hit an Inverted Atomic Drop, and then proceeded to work over James Storm’s groin after the low blow. After getting really cocky (pun lol), he tried for the Spike Piledriver, but Storm body dropped away! HOT TAG TO ANGLE! CRAZY FIERY BABYFACE KURT ANGLE! Flying Forearm! Belly-to-belly! Another! Hot as shit! Fiery punches! European Uppercuts! Young stumbled up! TRIPLE GERMANS! ONE … TWO … THRE – YOUNG KICKED OUT! Angle jumped up and was red hot! HE PULLED DOWN THE STRAPS BABY! Angle stalked EY! He slowly got up, and Angle tried the Olympic Slam, but YOUNG ROLLED THROUGH! He smacked Angle in the face and tried the Spike Piledriver, BUT ANGLE GRABBED HIS ANKLE! He had the Ankle Lock completely in! Young was struggled, BUT HE PULLED ANGLE INTO A ROLL UP! ONE … TWO … THRE – Angle JUST kicked out! They both got up, and Angle tried another Olympic Slam, but Young held his weight and wrestled Angle down into a prawn … SPIKE PILEDRIVER WHAT! ONE … TWO … THREE! WHAT WHAT WHAT!
Eliminated: Kurt Angle (16:43)
Eric Young was losing his shit in the ring, and everybody and their mother was flipping the fuck out. Young started parading around in the ring! Angle stood up and was piiiiiissed, but Storm climbed in and Angle told him to get Young! Young turned around completely unsuspecting! EYE OF THE STORM! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Eliminated: Eric Young (17:22)
Sole survivor: James Storm
Winners via pinfall: America’s Most Wanted/Kurt Angle (17:22)

James Storm and Kurt Angle celebrated in the ring, and Chris Harris eventually came back down to join them. People started throwing red, white, and blue streamers into the ring, and that soooo wasn’t planned.

Backstage, Chris Sabin talked about some very competitive programs he’s had in his 8 years in TNA: with Michael Shane, Low Ki, Jerry Lynn, the World X Cup, AMW, and then some. But, he said, never has he hated an opponent with such fervor as he hates Alex Shelley. He pointed to the scar across his forehead, and he said that this was a microcosm of the pain that he would inflict upon Alex tonight.

Back in the ring, Chuck Taylor came out to clean up the streamers. Commentary was talking over him about the show, but eventually attention went back to him when The Axis Powers came out! Taz talked about their recent problems on Xplosion over the past month. They all got in the ring and pushed Chuck around, but Chuck attacked! He got them with fiery punches, but the numbers game got to him. They beat him down…

BUT MICK FOLEY RAN OUT~!~!~! He took everybody on, and Chuck Taylor got up to join in! They cleaned house, and then Chuck Taylor and Mick Foley celebrated in the ring, and commentary said that Chuck Taylor definitely got some sort of Bound For Glory moment here tonight.

Alex Shelley was alone in the back, with his X-Division Championship over his shoulder. He talked up the X-Title, calling it the most prestigious belt in the company, and saying that it should probably be main eventing tonight. But that’s beside the point. The bottom line is that tonight he gets to partake in what has become a frequent hobby of his, putting Chris Sabin out. He said that tonight would prove what everybody has always known: Alex Shelley carried the Motor City Machineguns, and after tonight, Alex Shelley is going to carry TNA.

A promo played going over the Shelley/Sabin feud.
- BAM! Shelley hits Sabin with the Shellshock two weeks after they won the tag team titles at BFG V, since they lost the titles right back.
- Shelley goes nuts and puts Sabin out at Turning Point 2009.
- Shelley wins the X-Division Championship and becomes a main player in TNA; meanwhile Sabin is quietly released from TNA.
- Sabin returns in time for Lockdown 2010 to counterweight Shelley in the Lethal Lockdown match.
- Sabin nearly beats Shelley for the X-Division Title at Sacrifice, but Shelley took the DQ instead, and then bloodied and knocked Sabin out.
- Sabin’s health was in question, so he was booked with Shelley in an “Unsanctioned Match” at Slammiversary, where the referee stopped it when Shelley crushed Sabin’s head between a ladder, effectively putting him out again.
- Shelley continued on his roll as X-Division Champion, claiming to have put Sabin out for good and moving on with his career.
- Sabin returned at No Surrender to accept an open challenge from Jimmy Jacobs, and he seemed like a man obsessed with one cause: to end Alex Shelley.
- He called Shelley out numerous times, and he said that he wanted to end him with a ladder just like Shelley tried to do to him.
- They were booked in a ladder match for the X-Division Championship, and Sabin said he was going to destroy Shelley with a ladder, and then take his X-Division Champion, and ruin his career.

Match 8: Alex Shelley[c] vs Chris Sabin [X-Division Championship – Ladder Match]
These guys can do spots. I won’t outline every spot, as the assumption is that, if I was booking for real, they would figure that out. On the other hand, they’re not the greatest storytellers, one of them in particular. That’s what this write-up will focus on; a few different directions for the match to give it structure that they wouldn’t have otherwise. Anyway, here goes.

Oh shit. As soon as Shelley got in the ring, Sabin attacked him with big punches. Shelley struck back and then wrestled Sabin into an arm lock and wrung him up on the ropes, then tossed him to the outside. Sabin got back in and kept brawling, and the pattern continued with Sabin trying to fight, and Shelley trying to contain him with holds and cheap shots, and throwing him out of the ring. Shelley finally managed to launch Sabin over the top rope, and he went to the floor for the first time to grab a ladder. A struggle broke out for control of the ladder in the ring, and they ended up locking up through the rungs of the ladder and fighting for an advantage. Sabin finally powered Shelley with it, and gave a big pulse to send him flying back to the corner. Sabin held the ladder up and got a huge grin, and he chucked it out of the ring! Shelley looked confused, AND SABIN RAN AT SHELLEY AND EXPLODED WITH STRIKES! Shelley was overwhelmed and kept trying to escape, but Sabin always reeled him back in. When he finally managed to get off a decent move, he’d go back out and get the ladder and bring it back in, but Sabin would also toss the ladder right back out! While Shelley was trying to win the match, Sabin was more interested in inflicting pain on Alex Shelley! Sabin got on a big roll after a Tornado DDT, and he started delivering huge elbows to the champion, and then tackled him out of the ring! They brawled around the floor for a bit, and Shelley ended up planting Sabin with a Swinging DDT from the apron and onto the hard floor on the outside! Shelley regrouped himself and got the ladder back in the ring, and started his climb. Sabin slowly got up though, AND HE TOOK OUT THE LADDER WITH A SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK! The ladder and Shelley both collapsed, and Sabin continued his momentum and rolled out of the ring. He looked under the ring and pulled something out… a beer bottle? Taz and Tenay were confused as to why Sabin had a beer bottle under the ring, but Cornette was marking out. Sabin climbed back in the ring, and when Shelley got up, HE BROKE THE BOTTLE OVER HIS SKULL! Jim Cornette marked out hard, and explained that a beer bottle shot to the head is what caused Sabin to be pinned by AMW the Impact after Bound For Glory V, and thus what led to Shelley turning on Sabin! POETIC JUSTICE! Shelley sunk like a sack of bricks, and Sabin got a semi-crazy grin and slowly looked straight up… to the X-Division Title hanging above. Shit’s on. He set the ladder up in the middle of the ring and started to climb, but Shelley grabbed him by the arm and yanked him off, going back to the arm that he targeted earlier. He started using the ropes to wear at Sabin’s arm, and then he started to use the ladder for the same goal! Fuck! Sabin fought back decently enough, but it got harder and harder as his arm got more and more impaired, so he started using the ladder as a weapon to even the playing field. When he started having trouble holding that up with both hands, he grabbed a steel chair from ringside, and that became in play. From here, these guys did what a ladder match usually is: both guys now wanted to go for the title belt hanging above, and with that came spots of larger and larger magnitude. I won’t list all the spots. I’m sure there was tons of diving and flying, and probably a LadderPlex, a Flying Leg Drop from the ladder, a few slingshots into the ladder, or some combination of absurd spots. There was only ever one ladder in play though, so nothing contrived with SEVEN LADDER BATTLES~! Anyway, Sabin nearly had the belt after a Detroit Code to Shelley, but Shelley climbed up the other side and kicked Sabin’s legs out, making him fall back and hang backwards from the middle of the ladder. With Sabin trapped, Shelley climbed up on his side, but Sabin ended up slipping into the part under the ladder (“7 years of bad luck!”, thanks Tenay), and tipping it over! Shelley got hung up on the top rope, and he bounced back INTO A SHELLSHOCK FROM SABIN! He set up the ladder again and climbed up once more, and he could reach the belt, but Shelley started tipping the ladder! He used all his strength to push it over, and then fell to the mat from exhaustion. But Sabin fell with the ladder, balanced on the top rope, and kicked off the rope to send the ladder back into the middle of the ring with himself still on it. Shelley started to get up again, SO SABIN DOVE OFF THE LADDER WITH A FLYING CROSSBO – NO! SHELLEY HIT A SUPERKICK IN MIDAIR! Sabin flung back into the ladder, knocking it down, and him landing on top of it. Shelley got up and got a familiar demonic look in his eye… AND HE SANDWICHED SABIN’S HEAD BETWEEN THE LADDER LEGS! FUCK NO! THIS IS HOW HE PUT SABIN OUT BEFORE AT SLAMMIVERSARY! Shelley climbed up to the top rope just like last time, and he leapt off, BUT SABIN MOVED! Shelley hit nothing but steel! He jumped up holding his leg, AND HE TURNED RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! Both guys were down, but Sabin was up first. He set the ladder up and climbed up, but when he got to the top, SHELLEY HIT HIM WITH THE STEEL CHAIR RIGHT INTO THE ARM! Sabin screamed out and held at his arm, and it allowed Shelley to grab him from behind AND DRILL HIM WITH A POWERBOMB FROM THE TOP! Shelley slumped down with exhaustion, but he finally started to climb. By the time he got to the top, Sabin was climbing too, but he was doing so with basically only one arm. Shelley reached up for the title, but Sabin was able to reach up and take shots at his midsection! Sabin climbed up further and started delivering punches and elbows with his good arm, but Shelley threw up both arms to block shots coming from that side. With no other option, Sabin delivered a HUUUUUGE right hand, even though it was his bad arm! Shelley reeled back, with only his legs keeping him up. Sabin held at his arm and was clearly in real pain. He tried to lean forward and shove Shelley off, but Shelley held on! Sabin used both hands to try to push him off, but he got too far away from a stable stance on his side, and Shelley took both his arms, AND PUT HIM IN THE BORDER CITY STRETCH ACROSS THE TOP OF THE LADDER FUUUUUCK! Sabin started tapping out, but of course it did nothing in a ladder match. Shelley finally let go and tried to shove Sabin off, but he wouldn’t go down! He started kicking at his bad arm, but Sabin held on with his good one. Shelley leaned down and grabbed both of Sabin’s arms as he clung to the top of the ladder (Simba-Scar Final Battle Style, baby), and he started ramming Sabin’s head into the top of the ladder! BUT SABIN STILL HELD ON!. Shelley finally lifting Sabin up by the head and onto the top with him, AND HE LEAPT OFF, DRIVING SABIN SKULL-FIRST INTO THE MAT WITH A SUPER DUPER DDT! FUUUUUUCK! Shelley started back on his slow, dramatic ascent, and Sabin wasn’t even budging on the mat. Shelley reached up, AND HE GRABBED THE TITLE.
Winner via pinfall and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley!! (26:49)

An exhausted Alex Shelley collapsed down to the mat, but with his X-Division Championship safely in his arms. He tried to pull himself up, but he was really beat up, so Rhino and Angelina Love ran down to help him to the back and celebrated for him. The champion finally got enough energy to raise his belt up at the stage, and a cocky grin came across his face. Chris Sabin was still down on the mat, and he was being attended to by medical professionals.

Commentary talked about that vicious fight to top off a vicious rivalry, but then switched gears to talk about the main event of Joe vs Daniels vs Styles. Taz said he thought Joe would retain, Tenay predicted Styles would win, and Cornette picked Daniels.

Before tonight’s main event though, a video package played looking back at the past Bound For Glory main events: Jeff Jarrett vs Rhino, Jarrett vs Sting, Kurt Angle vs Sting, Samoa Joe vs Sting, and Christian Cage vs AJ Styles. After the short video, Mike Tenay noted that AJ Styles is the only guy in tonight’s match to have won a BFG main event, and Christopher Daniels is the only guy to have never been in a BFG main event, so maybe those two factors could play in.

In the back, Chris Daniels came out of his room alone, and Elix Skipper walked up. He told Daniels that they’ve been friends for eight years now, and that he would be honored to go to ringside with him tonight and finally see him win the TNA Championship. Daniels thanked him, but said he had to do this alone, and to tell the rest of the Enlightened to stay back as well. Christopher Daniels then went, on his own, out for the main event.

AJ Styles was getting one last stretch in, and Christian Cage came up. He said that one of his protégés failed tonight, but his favorite student of his career has yet to fight. He told AJ that he has done more than he could have dreamed of doing, and he wished him the best. Styles thanked him, but said that this title victory had to be for himself tonight, to reassure himself that he’s right in thinking that he’s the best in the business.

Samoa Joe taped up his fists and looked at his hands, and said it’s clobberin’ time.

An epic hype video played to build up the main event of Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels.
- All three guys were built up as TNA originals, and they touched on their deep history, including the Phenomenal Angels, their three-way feud (including their classic at Unbreakable 2005), and their work together in the Frontline.
- AJ Styles sees himself as being overlooked, and becomes sort of a “tweener” character.
- Samoa Joe beats AJ Styles at Slammiversary in a #1 Contenders match, and then goes on to win the TNA Championship.
- Styles beats Daniels in a #1 Contenders match, but then loses his title match with Joe at Hard Justice.
- Daniels gets a title match with Joe on Impact, but it barely goes 5 minutes before AJ ruins it and lays out both guys.
- Daniels gets a full title match at No Surrender, but AJ interferes and helps Joe retain, saying that he wants to be the one to pin Samoa Joe and win the title.
- Daniels and Styles are booked in a #1 Contenders match on Impact, with Joe as the special guest referee. Joe lays both guys out to throw out the match, and says that he wants BOTH guys in a triple threat match at BFG.

AJ Styles came out first, then Christopher Daniels, and finally the champion Samoa Joe. Jeremy Borash did formal introductions.

Match 9: Samoa Joe[c] vs AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels [TNA World Championships]
As soon as the bell rang, Styles charged at Joe and went for a lock up. Joe was taken aback and Styles took the charge, but it turned into a big power struggle, and Styles looked really impressive holding his own. Daniels stood to the side for a while, but eventually started taking cheap shots at both guys, and ducking away to encourage them to go back at each other. Joe and Styles traded dueling neck work, but Joe threw a smack, and shit was on. They traded big strikes, founded in LAYERED STRIKING~. Joe dominated with chops, but Styles worked in chops, elbows, and kicks to stay in the game. Styles tried an early Pele Kick, but Joe moved and put him into a Dragon Sleeper! But Daniels came in and took both guys out with a Springboard Crossbody! He punched at both guys, but they eventually came back and worked together to send Daniels packing. They went back at each other, but Daniels again kept throwing cheap shots, and Joe and Styles again beat him around some and sent him to the outside. After Daniels tried a Double DDT to them both, they shoved him off and bounced him around for an extended period, getting into territory of one-upping the other. Joe slapped in a Dragon Sleeper, but Styles pulled him off and delivered some big elbows, and a Discus Lariat! Joe went down to a knee, and Styles came off the ropes with a clothesline, and Joe reeled in place. Styles bounced off again, but Joe got him with a Snap Powerslam! He hopped up, but turned right into the Double Flying Knees from Daniels, which took Joe down! Daniels started going after Joe’s neck like crazy, and commentary mentioned how that strategy nearly beat Joe last year at No Surrender before Styles interfered. Anyway, Styles got up and surveyed the situation, and joined in with Daniels in beating down Joe! They also did a one-upping thing, but Joe fought back with wild punches! Daniels got a cheap elbow to the back of the head, and then Styles tried a Discus Clothesline, but Joe ducked and it hit Daniels! Shit broke down and all three guys started throwing big strikes! Moves got traded, and it spilled to the outside after a dive train. Styles hit Daniels with a Rack Bomb on the floor, and that was pretty big. He started to celebrate, but Joe grabbed him from behind and it an X-Please on the outside! FUCK! Joe tossed Styles into the ring, but then turned and started throwing Daniels around the floor some more. He tried an X-Plex as well, but Daniels elbowed away and jumped on the apron and tried a Moonsault, but Joe caught him and ran him into the barricade! He backed up and started an Ole Chant! OLE KICK TO DANIELS! He got pumped up and slid back into the ring as Styles was getting up. HE GRABBED HIM FOR THE COQUINA CLUTCH, but Styles ducked down and pulled him into a roll-up! ONE … TWO … THR – Joe kicked out! Styles immediately hit a roundhouse and tackled him into the corner and started to keep the champion moderately controlled, and he started making desperate attempts to pin Joe, continuously looking out of the ring to make sure Daniels was still down. When he saw Daniels stirred, he started to leave the ring, but Joe grabbed him on the apron and pulled him back in. He started slapping him around, and killed him with a Falling Lariat, and both guys were down. They started to stir, but Daniels slid in and covered both guys for only a two-count. He pulled Joe up and tried the Last Rites, but Joe shoved him off and he ran into Styles. He kicked Styles in the gut and tried the Angel’s Wings, but Styles shoved him away into a powerbomb from Samoa Joe! He turned it into a Boston Crab, but Styles took him out from behind with a Bulldog! He kept tossing Daniels out of the ring and only trying to pin Joe, and Tenay chalked that up to Styles being obsessed with pinning Joe to win the TNA Championship, not just pinning anybody. He nearly had Joe in the Styles Clash, but Joe pulled his legs down and body dropped away. He tried for the Choke, but Styles kicked his leg up to break free, and then nailed a big Enzuigiri! Joe stirred, and Styles tried a Brainbuster, but Joe held his weight, spun him around and put him into a Dragon Sleeper! He pulled back, but Daniels snuck in and hit a Running Swinging Neckbreaker! He tried to put in a Crossface, but Joe rolled out and smacked the fuck out of Daniels! He flew back into the corner, and Joe pulled him out and put in the Dragon Sleeper! He had it in for a long time, BUT STYLES WAS UP AND USED THE PHENOMENAL DDT TO SPRINGBOARD OVER DANIELS AND TAKE OUT JOE WITH THE FALLING REVERSE DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Joe kicked out! Styles went up top, but Daniels came from the apron and shoved him off! He climbed up top and tried a Flying Crossbody, but Styles ducked! Daniels got up as Styles ran off the ropes, but Daniels caught him and put him right into the Koji Clutch! He pulled at it for a while, but Joe got up and put Daniels into the Coquina Clutch! SUBMISSION TRAIN~! Daniels let go of the Koji, and Styles then broke up the Coquina. Styles pulled Joe up, but he exploded with a belly-to-belly! Styles got right up, but Joe hit another! ONE … TWO … THR – Styles kicked out! Joe pulled him up and tried a Muscle Buster, but Daniels broke it up with a chop block, and then hit Joe with his RUNNING STO INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! ONE … TWO … THRE – Styles made the save! He pulled Joe up for the Styles Clash, but Joe pushed him into the corner! He set him up top, but Joe smacked him away AND CAME OFF WITH A FLYING FAT GUY SENTON!! ONE … TWO … THR – Styles kicked out!! Joe yanked him and SHOVED him into the corner and put him up. He put him up for the Muscle Buster … AND HE HIT IT! ONE … TWO … THRE – DANIELS DOVE TO SAVE! He picked Joe up and tried the Last Rites, but Joe threw him off and tried to get him up for the Muscle Buster, but Daniels swung through with a Falling Twisting Neckbreaker! He pulled Joe up for the Angel’s Wings, BUT JOE COUNTERED WITH THE PINNING COMBINATION THAT WON AJ THE MATCH AT UNBREAKABLE 2005! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! DANIELS JUST KICKED OUT! They both got up, and Daniels hit a leg-feed enzuigiri! LAST RITES!!! ONE … TWO … THRE – STYLES BROKE IT UP! Styles pulled him up for the Styles Clash, but Daniels crawled through his legs and tried a backslide, BUT STYLES FLIPPED OVER DANIELS AND COUNTERED RIGHT INTO AN UNPRETTIER! ONE … TWO … THRE – NO! DANIELS JUST KICKED OUT! Styles couldn’t believe it! He went up top and looked down at Daniels, but then turned his attention to Joe! SPIRAL TA – NO! JOE MOVED! Styles held at his midsection as he got up, RIGHT INTO A GERMAN SUPLEX FROM JOE! DRAGON SUPLEX! X-PLEX! ONE … TWO … THRE – STYLES KICKED OUT, but Joe put him right into the COQUINA CLUTCH! STYLES STARTED FADING! HE COULDN’T HOLD ON! HE COULDN’T BREATHE! HE HAD NO CHOICE! AJ STYLES TA – DANIELS HIT THE BEST MOONSAULT EVER TO BREAK IT UP! He covered AJ! ONE … TWO … THRE – Joe dove to save! Daniels pulled him up and hit a SICK superkick! He got Joe in position for the Angel’s Wings, BUT INSTEAD HE POWERBOMBED SAMOA JOE! HE GOT A TIGHT PRAWN! STYLES RAN OVER AND SHOVED DANIELS TO THE OUTSIDE FUCK! Styles climbed up! SPIRAL TAAAAAAAP TO SAMOA JOE~!~!~! ONE … TWO … THREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
WINNER VIA PINFALL AND NEW TNA WORLD CHAMPION: “THE PHENOMENAL ONE” AJ STYLES!!!! (22:18)

AJ Styles slowly got to his feet and celebrated with his new TNA World Championship, and commentary put over that he just pinned Samoa Joe. Styles was going crazy with excitement, to a HUGE mixed reaction from the crowd. He strapped the belt around his waist and celebrated up the ramp, then posed at the top of the stage to close Bound For Glory once again as TNA Champion.

Alright, there it is. I’m gonna be “that guy” and beg for feedback here. I see Bound For Glory (or Wrestlemania or Starrcade, what have you) as the show to end all or most of your headline feuds. Obviously some feuds will spill from this show, and some matches have only been built over the past month of so, but over half of these matches have been built up for extensive periods--anywhere from 4 months to an entire year. So I’d like to know which storylines you dug the whole way through, which didn’t work, which had good payoffs, which did not, and which you possibly want to see go further. 2011, here we come.

TNA Impact: A New Sheriff In Town
Impact Zone
Orlando, Florida
October 14, 2010

A huge video package played going over what happened at Bound For Glory VI last Sunday.

Dixie Carter came out to the ring to start the show, and she put over everybody’s work in putting together BFG, as well as the top-notch competition that took place. She switched gears to talk about her promise to name a new TNA General Manager, and she said that was going to happen RIGHT NOW. So, without further ado, she brought out…

BOOKER T!

Booker T came out with his tag team title over his shoulder, and he grabbed the microphone. He put over his time in TNA and hailed it has the best three years of his career. He put over young names like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Robert Roode, and Jay Lethal as the future of the business. He then said that, as big of an honor as this is, he’s seen a company be run by the people who are actively competing, and it just doesn’t work. As such, he said that he would not step into an active GM role until AFTER he loses his tag team title, and that’s why it’s so important for him not to lose the titles. Because, as much as he looks forward to being GM of TNA, it effectively means a retirement from active competition; so it’s a double-edged sword. But that’s beside the point. What this means is that there needs to be an interim GM, and after talking it over with Dixie Carter, they’ve settled on a name.

SCOTT STEINER CAME OUT~! Steiner stumbled over his words and shouted that he LOVES TNA TOTAL NON-STOP ACTION YES SIR. He put over TNA some as well, until …

KEVIN NASH~ came out, and he was pissed. As soon as he got in the ring, Steiner got in his face, but Booker T pulled him back. Nash told Dixie that he’s more qualified for the spot than these two combined, and that he should be the GM. Dixie said she wished Nash wasn’t such a spotlight hog, because she does have a position open for him, but now he looks like a brat for begging for it. Anyway, given his long history with the X-Division, Dixie Carter named Kevin Nash the CHANCELLOR OF THE X-DIVISION~. Nash thought about it, and said it was good enough. Nash went to the back, and Booker T wished Scott Steiner good luck in the ring. Steiner and Booker T shook hands, and Steiner promised good things for TNA while he’s in charge.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary reacted to the news: Scott Steiner as interim GM, with Booker T to take over when he loses his tag team title, and then Kevin Nash becoming the head of the X-Division. They talked about BFG some, and some fallout there.

Match 1: Monty Brown vs TJ Perkins [TNA Television Championship]
Epic Monty squash, and since Perkins is a little dick, the TV champ actually got some pops. Monty hit a snap powerbomb, and then the POUNCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~! Period. 1, 2, and 3.
Winner via pinfall: Monty Brown (2:01)

Monty Brown celebrated over TJ Perkins.

Samoa Joe went to Scott Steiner backstage, and things were a bit awkward between them. Joe said to forget the past, because he’s looking forward. He said he’d like to cash in his rematch clause, but just then Christopher Daniels came up. He pointed out that Joe was pinned at BFG, not him, and so he should get a one-on-one match with AJ Styles. Steiner told them to go away, and that AJ wasn’t here tonight, so he’d talk to him later.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: The Hooliganz vs Ravarian
The Hooliganz bumped them around at the start, but Kaz went for Kendrick’s back that was targeted on Sunday and they took over. They isolated him for a bit with stiff strikes and plenty of cheating, but Kendrick eventually floated over a Rave vertical suplex and hit a jumping heel kick to the back of Rave’s skull! Hot tag to London! He cleaned house with his high-flying, and topped it off with a slingshot clothesline to Rave! ONE … TWO … TH – Rave kicked out! London pulled him up and tried the Waffle Face, but Rave elbowed him away and shoved him into a Mafia Kick from Kaz! Kaz ran over and knocked Kendrick off the apron, and Rave covered London! ONE … TWO … THRE – London got a shoulder up! The heels knocked him around some, but it wasn’t long before London hit a Snap Rana, and reached out for the tag! Kendrick came right in with a Springboard Crossbody to Kaz! ONE … TWO … THR – Rave made the save! Rave kicked at him some, but London came in with a Springboard Clothesline, BUT RAVE MOVED! London stumbled up, and walked right into an Enzuigiri from Rave! Rave turned around, right into a Superkick from Kendrick! Kendrick turned around and Kaz grabbed him for the Wave of the Future, but Kendrick spun out and hit a big elbow! SLICED BREAD #2! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Hooliganz (6:53)

London and Kendrick celebrated in the ring, and commentary revealed that they’d be competing overseas for the next couple months.

Booker T was talking to Jay Lethal, and he explained that his job as GM is why it’s so important that they retain their belts. He said that he’s excited to become GM, but that wrestling is what he loves most, so having to retire will be tough to do. Lethal promised that he would never be pinned and he would never submit to cost Booker his career. Steiner walked up, and Booker introduced him to Jay Lethal. Steiner said that he wanted a big tag team title match for Turning Point, and that he’d be scouting for their opponents the next few days.

--Commercial Break--

Hernandez was backstage, and he said he’s the most unstoppable force in TNA, blah, blah. His little friend Chuck Taylor came up to him and kind of called him out for being a jerk lately. Hernandez blew him off and told him to get lost.

Christian Cage came out and called out Robert Roode. He called Roode a coward for squashing the dreams of a young guy like Bryan Danielson to wrestle in TNA, but Roode said it was really Christian’s fault for screwing over Danielson, even if it was an accident.. They traded some more words, and ended up brawling. Steiner came out and told them to break it up, because they’d have their chance to get at each other in the main event!

Chris Daniels found Ravarian backstage, and called them awful. He said all they’re good for his interfering, so to make themselves useful.

--Commercial Break--

Bailout cut a promo in the back with JBL and said that Tag Team Turmoil proved they’re the best tag team in the business, especially that part where they beat the “legendary” Team 3D.

Match 3: Christopher Daniels vs Ricky Steamboat Jr w/ Steamboat Sr
Daniels was incredibly brutal, but Steamboat kept holding on in a very strong showing. He even bumped Daniels around at times, and he especially started to rage when Daniels slapped his dad on the floor! Steamboat tried the Dragon Suplex, but Daniels fought away and hit a big roundhouse! He ran to the corner for the BME, but Steamboat moved, and hit Daniels with a Spin Wheel Kick! He climbed up top as Daniels stood up! FLYING CROSBODDY! ONE … TWO … THRE – Daniels kicked out! Steamboat tried the Dragon Suplex again, but Daniels pulled it into a Victory Roll! ONE … TWO … THR – Steamboat got out! They both got up, and Steamboat pulled into a small package! ONE … TWO … TH – Daniels broke free, and hit a quick jawbreaker, and then the Last Rites for the clean win.
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (7:53)

Daniels celebrated up the ramp and stormed past Ravarian.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Little Ricky thanked his dad for helping him out at BFG, and always being there for him. He said that he realized he has a lot of promise, but he also has a lot to learn. He said he wasn’t worthy of using his dad’s name, so instead he’d go by the name that his dad called him as a kid: Ritchie. Ricky Sr wished his son good luck with the rest of his career, and they hugged, and Ricky left.

Commentary put over James Storm for being the one to win the Six-Man Elimination tag match at Bound For Glory.

Match 4: America’s Most Wanted vs Petey Williams/Tyson Dux
This was pretty much purely a brawl on the outside. The ref missed Dux nailed Storm with a hockey stick on the outside, and then Harris got hit with a Double DDT in the ring, and then Petey hit a much-assisted Border’s Edge for a surprising pinfall.
Winners via pinfall: Petey Williams/Tyson Dux (4:33)

Williams and Dux slid out of the ring and celebrated, but AMW was pissed.

Young was watching from the back, and he was so proud of his stablemates. Robert Roode walked by, and Young said he bets Roode misses being in Team Canada. Roode said that he misses leading a stable, but that’s about it.

--Commercial Break--

Eric Young was backstage with Lauren, and he gloated about pinning Kurt Angle at BFG, but then Angle ran up and attacked him! They brawled until security split them up.

Samoa Joe was in the back and cut a promo saying that AJ Styles better be here next week, so he can tell him face-to-face that he’s going to kick his ass and take back his title.

Match 5: Christian Cage vs Robert Roode
They went to the mat, and Roode had a lot more success than he did on Sunday against Danielson. Still though, it was fairly even. They traded basic arm work, but when Roode kept throwing cheap punches, Christian gladly returned them, and it turned into a brawl. Roode got off a big running neckbreaker. He went to go untie the top turnbuckle, but the ref stopped him and went to put it back. With the ref’s attention on that, Roode tried to kick Christian in the nuts, but Christian blocked it and kicked Roode in the balls himself! Roode doubled over, and Christian clotheslined him to the outside! And he followed up with his Triangle Plancha!

--Commercial Break--

Back in the ring, Christian was bouncing Roode around pretty well, and he began to work over his neck a bit. Roode came back after some brief cheating, but Christian pulled out the Triangle Choke like Danielson used on Sunday! Roode finally made it to the ropes and slid to the outside, and Christian tried the Triangle Plancha again, but ROODE MOVED AND CAGE HIT THE FLOOR! Roode beat him up on the floor, using the ground, ring post, and steel barricade. He pulled up the mat on the floor and called for a powerbomb, but the ref stopped. They argued for a second, and it allowed Christian to jump up onto the apron AND LEAP OVER THE REF AND HIT ROODE WITH A FLYING CLOTHESLINE! He tossed him into the ring and tried the Unprettier, but Roode shoved him away and caught him off the ropes with a belly-to-belly! ONE … TWO … TH – Cage kicked out! Roode started to work over his back some, and he kept cutting off Christian’s fiery comebacks and AWESOME punches with cheating and stuff. He tried a powerbomb, but Christian rolled through with a sunset flip! ONE … TWO … THR – Roode got out! They both got up, Christian slower, and Roode dropped him with a DDT! He pulled him up and tried a powerbom – NO HE HIT AN ALLEY OOP BABY~! ONE … TWO … THRE – Christian JUST kicked out! Roode yanked him up and tossed him front-first into the corner and tried the Northern Lariat, but Christian ducked! Roode hit the corner, and Christian hit his Falling Reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode kicked out! Christian kept him contained on the ground for a bit, but Roode snuck in a low blow and hit a Rolling Neckbreaker! ONE … TWO … THR – Christian kicked out! Roode pulled him up and tried the Payoff, but Christian pushed away and exploded with big elbows. He ran off the ropes, BUT RIGHT INTO THE DOUBLE R SPINEBUSTER! ONE … TWO … THRE – CHRISTIAN KICKED OUT! We’ve got to take a break!

--Commercial Break--

Roode was tearing Christian apart in the ring, and commentary put over how impressive that was, especially given that Roode had a match at Bound For Glory, while Christian was completely fresh. Christian managed to low bridge Roode to the outside and take a breather, so when Roode got back in the ring, Christian exploded with punches. He nearly got off the Tornado DDT, but Roode shoved him away. He shoved Christian front-first into the corner and tried the Northern Lariat, but Christian ducked and hit his Falling Reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THRE – Roode kicked out! Christian stayed on the mat out of fatigue, but when Roode started to get up, HE PUT ROODE INTO THE TRIANGLE CHOKE! Roode struggled but managed to get up to his feet and he rammed Christian into the corner! Christian was still sitting up top on the turnbuckle though, and he jumped off for his Flying European Uppercut, but Roode ducked! Cage crashed to the mat, and as he slowly got up, ROODE CAME OFF THE ROPES AND HIT THE NORTHERN LARIAT! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (19:58)

Roode got up and celebrated like crazy, and commentary put over the fact that Roode just pinned Christian Cage AGAIN, this time in a one-on-one match! Cage got up and was absolutely shocked. Roode celebrated in the ring, and then to the back.

Taz and Kevin Nash welcomed us to the show, and Nash announced from the booth that, as the new Chancellor of the X-Division, he’s booked some great X-Division action for tonight’s show.

Match 1: Amazing Red/Shane Sewell vs Kiyoshi/Brutus Magnus w/ Patrick Schulz
This was a basic spotfest. Sewell got isolated by the heels, and Kiyoshi used big JAPANESE~ strikes, while Magnus just kinda did stuff. Sewell almost got the hot tag, but Magnus cut it off with a Springboard Wheelkick! ONE … TWO … THRE – Sewell kicked out! Magnus pulled him up and tried the Italian Stallion Kick, but Sewell ducked! Standing dropkick! HOT TAG TO RED! He used big high-flying and his usual absurd moves to knock everybody around. He missed a corkscrew moonsault, and Kiyoshi tried a running Mongolian Chop, but Red ducked, got a stiff sole kick, AND HIT HIS HURRICANRANA DRIVER! Magnus rushed the ring, but Sewell took him out with a Moonsault! Red went up AND HIT KIYOSHI WITH THE INFRARED! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Amazing Red/Shane Sewell (6:12)

Red and Sewell celebrated in the ring, and the Axis Powers regrouped up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

A replay aired of Booker T being named the General Manager as soon as he loses his tag team title, along with Scott Steiner being named the Interim GM until then.

Match 2: Chuck Taylor vs Sheik Abdul Bashir w/ Raisha Saeed
Taylor took every possible opportunity to use a pinning combination, and commentary talked about how Chuck Taylor still hasn’t won a match here in TNA. After nearly hitting the Twist of Fate, Bashir shoved him away and tried to end it with the Nuclear Ambition (Hammerlock DDT), but Taylor countered with a Northern Lights Suplex! CHUCK TAYLOR DOING REAL WRESTLING MOVES! ONE … TWO … THRE – Bashir JUST kicked out! Chuck hopped up and ran up top and tried a Flying Crossbody, but Bashir dropkicked him out of midair! Chuck stumbled up and got hit with the Nuclear Ambition to lose.
Winner via pinfall: Sheik Abdul Bashir (3:45)

Bashir and Saeed celebrated in the ring, and Sonjay Dutt came out to join them and get ready for his match.

A replay of Robert Roode pinning Christian Cage on Impact and Eric Young pinning Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory, and the growing friendship between Roode and Young.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Brandon Bonham vs Sonjay Dutt w/ Raisha Saeed & Abdul Bashir
Sonjay tried to lure him into exchanging high-flying moves, but Bonham stayed to the mat and brought Dutt down with him. Dutt tried to meet him there with mat wrestling, but Bonham used his height advantage to stretch him out. Bashir and Saeed started to get involved from the outside, and Dutt started to come back with flying stuff, and he eventually started to use it all to target the arm. He bent at it a bunch and tried to fight him into a Camel Clutch, but Bonham lifted him up and hit an Electric Chair! ONE … TWO … THR – Dutt kicked out! Bonham pulled him up and tried a powerbomb, but Dutt used the Kidman Counter! He went to the apron and tried a Springboard Splash, but Bonham moved! Dutt stumbled up, and Bonham hit a Sky High, and Taz dubbed it the High Times! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Brandon Bonham (5:49)

Bonham celebrated in the ring, but Dutt and Bashir attacked him from behind and laid him out with the Roadside Bomb!

Monty Brown had a pre-taped promo where he ranted in Afrikan speak about being the new TNA Television Champion.

--Commercial Break--

Clips of big Hooliganz moments played, along with the announcement that both guys would be away from TNA and competing around the globe for some time.

The big Bound For Glory promo played, trying to get people to buy the replays.

--Commercial Break--

Sean Waltman was backstage and said that, with his best friend at the head of the X-Division, he was the new face of the X-Division.

Match 4: The Young Bucks vs Los Infernales
The Young Bucks continued to get more and more offense in, but this was still mostly a lucha showcase. That is, until Averno missed a Moonsault, AND THE BUCKS HIT STEREO MAFIA KICKS FUCK. They beat the shit out of him, borderline heeling him, though they never cheated. They tried the MMMBop, but Averno shoved Max away and hit Jeremy with a snap hurricanrana! Hot tag to Mephisto, who took them both out with a double Springboard Crossbody! Jeremy stumbled up, and Mephisto hit a spinning powerbomb! ONE … TWO … THR – Max made the save! He pulled Mephisto up and tried a turning neckbreaker, but Mephisto shoved him away and into an STO from Averno! Jeremy got up, but Averno tackled him into the corner, delivered some big elbows, and set him up top! Mephisto came over to join him, AND THEY HIT THE SPANISH FLY! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Los Infernales (6:45)

The luchas celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Scott Steiner was in the back and he said that he had signed a great team to face Booker T and Jay Lethal for the tag titles at Turning Point, so to watch Impact to find out who.

Match 5: TJ Perkins vs Volador vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Viktor Koslov
Typical X-Division spotfest. The best part of this was probably Kevin Nash making up absurd names for all the high-flying moves and marking out whenever somebody did one. Perkins and Koslov started to team up to take the other two guys out separately, but then Koslov hit Perkins from behind with a leg lariat to the back of the head! He put in the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Jacobs came in and took him out with a Springboard Bulldog! He grabbed him and tried the Detroit Code, but Volador was on the top turnbuckle and he came off and took Jacobs and Koslov out with a Corkscrew Crossbody!

--Commercial Break--

Volador was kind of running things, but the other three in turn sort of teamed up and started bumping him around, and began to target his leg. Volador then had to go the rest of the match with a hurt leg, and it prevented him from flying around much. He started throwing punches instead, and Perkins was eager to do the same. It sort of became more of a brawl, except for Jacobs still throwing out high-flying stuff when he could. Koslov used a hit-and-run strategy, and spent as much time as he could on the outside. Jacobs got sick of this and took him out with a Tope Suicida! In the ring, Volador tried a piledriver, but Perkins punched at his leg to get free, and then hit a jumping enzuigiri! Jumping Reverse DDT! ONE … TWO … THR – Jacobs made the save! Perkins pulled him up and tried the Puma Buster, but Jacobs shoved him away and to the outside! He climbed up top, but Perkins got up on the apron and shoved him down. He climbed in the ring and tried a clothesline, but Jacobs ducked, came off the ropes, AND HIT A SPEAR! ONE … TWO … THRE – Koslov dove to save! He tried to put Jacobs into the Moscow Cloverleaf, but Jacobs shoved him away into a REVERSE HURRICANRANA (“Norwegian Backwards Hogtown Fairgrounder” – Kevin Nash)! He tried to cover, but Jacobs pulled him right off. He tried the Detroit Code, but Volador shoved him away. He ran off the ropes, but right into a PUMA BUSTER FROM PERKINS! Perkins got up, AND JACOBS SPEARED HIM! He climbed up top, FLYING BACK SENTON TO PERKINS! ONE … TWO … THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Jacobs (11:56)

Jacobs celebrated in the ring to close the show.
