My gf recently had issues with her job and a lot of law offices are at least willing to read your case in an email for free. If there's something in there that's an easy out for him they'll at least be able to let you know so you won't waste anymore time or resources.

November 24, 2024, my grandmother has passed away.

She was born in 1936 and served in the Navy as a mechanic on Aircraft Carriers during the Korean War, and later became an EMT before her retirement in the mid-2010s.

I'm gonna miss you Grandma "Boots".

Loss is never ever easy, you get so use to someone being in your life, and when they are gone it hurts. I love you man, stay strong and know we’re all here for you.

I don’t know what to fucking do man. I’m trying to fucking better my life. I made a lot of dumb mistakes in life where I currently don’t have my ID, or my SS Card. I can’t get one replaced without the other, I don’t fucking know what to do. I just want to be able to do something with my life, I wanna be able to get a job and I can’t without both of those things. Life sucks. I’m close to a mental breakdown.

I think the SS card might be the easier first route to try and get done despite this. You've gotta somehow get a person on the phone (I don't know how easy or hard this is with them it might all be robots) and explain everything you don't have and see if they have any solution. Some that might work would be a birth certificate, you should be able to get some record of birth from the actual hospital if it's still around even if you don't have that.

Also there should be some record of your previous ID even if it's expired, I don't think that data would have been purged yet. I'm not sure how that would work but you don't need the ID to be valid necessarily for proof for the SSN if they're not being assholes that day, a copy of an expired one should still work

It might be even better if there's anyone you can email and explain the situation too. If they respond then you have that in writing if you do what they say and someone else tries to say that won't work. I hate phone calls for official things bc of shit like that

I just got off the phone with someone like, right before this. My ID I had expired a good while back, like that’s part of what I meant by making mistakes, I didn’t get it renewed or taken care of way way sooner like I should have, so when I last had one it wasn’t a REAL ID, or whatever it is now. But that the ID Place, I’ll call the Social Security place later, once I have had time to calm down and relax, and maybe they can help me. I know my SS Card is here somewhere in my house, I’m just not sure where. So I’m hoping I can get lucky and find it.

That’s gonna be the easiest thing to get, as I’m 99% sure my dad can help me with getting that, if it’s not already in his lockbox lol.
