I just got off the phone with someone like, right before this. My ID I had expired a good while back, like that’s part of what I meant by making mistakes, I didn’t get it renewed or taken care of way way sooner like I should have, so when I last had one it wasn’t a REAL ID, or whatever it is now. But that the ID Place, I’ll call the Social Security place later, once I have had time to calm down and relax, and maybe they can help me. I know my SS Card is here somewhere in my house, I’m just not sure where. So I’m hoping I can get lucky and find it.

That would be best but even if you can't, I would try to focus on SSC regardless. I could be wrong but I think that's your best bet of getting one without the other. IDs are stupid

I really hope so. Cause like, I really just want to be able to get my life on a better track, something that I should have did along ass time ago, but better late than never I guess.

Past is the past, my biggest argument with my mom was one time when I was stressed bc I had so much stuff planned (bc I procrastinated terribly) that I should have had done years prior and she was like "well if you would have just done...." And I was like shut the fuck up, tell me what to do right now because I'm doing everything I can lol I can't go back in time

Yeah, I’m glad my dad isn’t like that. He told me we’ll get it figured out, and he knows I wanna be able to help out, but it’s not worth stressing out over. Hearing that is helpful, and y’all here are definitely helpful. So thanks for trying to help and everything, you too @Comrade Khan and you as well for that number you provided @Sabretooth love you all

^^^^^^^^^ so much this

Yes the past sucks a lot when it's your own doing. But you can't time travel and beating yourself up forever is just gonna make you continue to feel like shit. Everyone makes mistakes and none of yours are irreparable damage. One fucking step at a time. You got this blaze

This cheesy line from agents of shield is used for a big reveal in the show so it's always stuck with me bc of that but rewatching now it really has

"The steps you take don't have to be big, they just have to take you in the right direction"

Blaze, if it comes down to it, don't be afraid to lie to get the SSC. Friend of mine had a long history of making some poor decisions and couldn't get anywhere with requesting a new one until he told them that he lost his in a house fire. Getting the SSC will make getting the ID significantly easier.

So I went to my cousins for Thanksgiving. I saw about half of the 20 people in attendance either before or at my Moms memorial service. The other half I hadn't seen since before she passed. While I was looking forward to seeing everyone, I was dreading the idea of constant condolences and recollections. Hell even the 90 minute drive was weird because my Mom would always drive and instead my brother and I split the drive.

The day went well. Obviously condolences and memories and stuff were difficult but a great time was had. But it was a great time. Thankfully the gathering was a dry affair (no alcohol it was pouring until like 2) as I would probably had indulged too much otherwise.

Grief is a fucking bitch. And it'll never end.

Hope you feel better soon man. Condolences to you and your family. Also thanks for the kind words about my mum too. When I posted last week. My mum's caught COVID again same as last year she went in ok and her health seems to be deteriorating again. Sure it's the hospital she's at. Can't even go see her as with having a little one at home just can't take the risk.

You've hit the nail on the head about grief when my dad passed away a couple of years back , I've still not processed he's not here but I've cried a bit and it's still not sunk in.

Hope you feel better . Just remember the good times. I find talking aloud when no ones about helps me, like telling him how much I love him and it helps a little bit.

My Mum's outta hospital now. She's doing much better since she had the box with worse rods and pins Holding her leg together. She had the same operation last year and nearly died then too. Now she's away to dialysis with having stage 5 Kidney disease.

Thanking @Storm Trooper for all the positive messages . I sincerely mean that and also others who I can't think of too.

Now we've got her home for Christmas, she wanted us to buy her a Bread Maker and I've just ordered one for my mum. Other family members wanted Lush ( it's a shop that sells a ton of nice aroma therapy and various of other things ) Bought her husband a Bottle of Rum as well.

Gonna text my half sister later and send them some money .

I dunno what's wrong with me lately but I've been feeling more down on myself and also getting an intense feeling of general loneliness.

For a long time I've been kind of skittish when it comes to relationships but lately with my meds and psychiatry appointments I've been longing more for some sort of companionship, so I guess my new year's resolution for next year is to finally get a girlfriend/partner.

I was worried about Christmas this year. Thanksgiving was somewhat manageable given it was spent with 20 members of the extended family.

I survived Christmas. Gifts with my Dad and brother was fine. Decided to go to church (was debating going to work today just to do something but church was a better option). Then did fuck all the rest of the day until dinnertime. Honestly that's not unlike other years, but the difference is my Mom would be here.

I miss her. She loved Christmas.
