I know I had a thread for this when it was originally announced, but I can't find it so here's a new one with some gamplay footage from E3. From Naughty Dogs, the dev famous for Uncharted, and really it looks like this game has the chance to be GOTY when it comes up. Not much detail about the story from the trailer, seems like it's more about survival and stealth though, as your not going to have a ton of ammo.

This looks fantastic. I got goosebumps just watching the trailer live on G4. Another realistic approach on a post apocalypic world. I really enjoyed it in I Am Alive and I hope this learns from that games flaws and expands upon it. Nice in your face realistic type action. I can tell I'm going to love this game.

I remember you told me about this game not long ago Ben and it looks fantastic. It seems pretty fun and the gameplay looks very smooth and fluid and the graphics look great as well. My type of game but too bad I won't be getting it as I'm not a PS3 player.

Yea so reviews are coming in for this already and there's already a bunch of 10's and it's rocking a 95 metacritic and few reviews have called it the best game ever on PS3. I will fully buy into this hype and I can't wait for this to drop, ND took storytelling and gameplay to a whole different level with Uncharted and this apparently is better than that :wank:

Almost done with the game...put in about 14 hours so far and this game really is worth all the praise it's been getting. The story and just the way they present the environment that your in is the best I've seen in 20 years a gaming. You actually have to scavenge for supplies and ammo is actually hard to come by, like the fact that all the combat really gives you the option to go the stealth route or go out there and attempt to shoot it out. If you have a PS3 and your not playing this step you game up and pick this up.

My cousin is saying this is what The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct should have been.

From the lets play I have been watching the gameplay seems extremely generic and looks like they just recycled everything from Uncharted. Story is sexy though, I hear multiplayer saves it.

I've read this game is all about the cinematics and storyline and not so much the gameplay. Anyone want to agree/disagree? I was thinking about getting this game but I've always really disliked zombie games.

It's not your typical zombie game. Trust me. This game is cool, I think it's great. Again, dat gameplay. I was just kind of hoping for something new. In terms of gameplay that is.

Pretty much. I really like the story.

It's really the opposite of Uncharted. There's not a ton of crazy platforming and for the most part there's not a lot of huge firefights. There's a lot of strategy involved in how you approach combat you can go in a use your guns but ammo is scarce....so going in stealth style is often the ideal approach or bypassing enemies altogether. Like I said earlier the story and just the shear awesomeness of the environments makes this game....the Winter portion of the game impaticualr was just amazing. About to start my second play through of the game and that's something I never do so it says something about the quality.
