The favourite seasons of your Top Shows

Just an idea to get some debate going. Give me a list of which seasons you like the best of your favourite shows and also reasons if you like and we can compare and contrast.

Friends Season 1

To be fair love Friends fullstop but I dunno what it was about Season 1 but ever since I bought them all on DVD years ago this was always my favourite. Maybe it's because they seemed to have rather awesome lives and it was just good seeing the whole journey begin. I bet if you watched Friends when it originally aired you'd never have guessed how huge it would have become and that 10 seasons would have been made of it.

South Park season 13 - I dunno, maybe because I began watching the show once again at that point. Because I've stopped watching it around season 9, mostly because I started thinking it sucks, but a friend made me watch the show again and I'm a South Park fan once again.

Angel season 4 - If I'm not mistaken, it's around that time when Angel's son Connor appeared as a badass teenager which I personally dug.

Life season 2 - Charlie Crews was a badass dude and I loved the way he expressed his feelings to his partner, who's name I cannot remember, but I remember she was played by Sarah Shahi.

How I Met Your Mother season 1 - I dunno, maybe because it all began, and I have realized how awesome Barney Stinson really is.

Buffy S3 - Would be Doppelgangland althrough Lovers Walk would push it close the ending with Spike doing My Way is a gem!
Seinfeld S6 - The Beard which is my favourite ever episode full stop
The Office US - The Fire "Ryan started the fire!"
The Office UK - The Comic Relief episode
X-Files S2 - This was a tough one but I went with Die Hard die Verletzt in the end, Firewalker, Duane Barry and 3 would have all pushed it close.
Dexter S4 - Blinded by the Light

Still haven't watched any Angel, would you say its as good as Buffy? Wasn't sure about it as I always found his character one of the duller ones at least in the early seasons, then again anything Wheldon does has to be worth a look.

Scrubs Season 8 - the ending was magnificent! Also Season 2. Generally the odds beat out the evens, except for Season 1 and Season 6. Fav episode the last one. Should have wrapped up right there as planned, instead of crapping out that abortion of a ninth season.

The Middle - Season 2. It really hit its stride at the beginning of Season 3, but then began to suck, so can't really give S3 the award. Fav episode is probably the S2 Xmas Special, the one where Brick isn't talking because Mike told him if he whispers to himself Santa won't come. Any of the early S3 episodes is also on my list.

Prison Break - Season 1, the only good one IMHO. No favourite episodes in particular.

Not that many more shows I watch regularly enough to know the Seasons.

Dexter Season 4 - Just my favorite season for some reason, this got me very interested into the show and I loved the story that went with the season. Amazing acting from all. Especially John Lithgow.

The Walking Dead Season 1 - Loved all the action and I also instantly got hooked from the first episode. Very intriguing and makes you want to keep watching and find out what happens next. Excellent directing and likable characters and not so likable characters.

The Sopranos Season 5 or Season 2 - AWESOME show.

Chuck Season 1 - This was the type of show for me and how the creators came up with this idea I'll never know. The concept of the show was unique and I really liked it. It was a refreshing show. I loved the characters and you could really relate to some of them and they all have some likability to them. I got hooked to the show.

Prison Break Season 1 - Got hooked from the first episode. Great action, drama and more. Liked the concept of the show.

Modern Family Season 1 - Just about all the episodes were funny. Really good comedy and even the smallest things can get you laughing.

Jersey Shore Season 1 or Season 4 - I'd say season 3 is also up there but thinking back there was too much drama but it was interesting. Season 1 was very good and I liked Season 4 since it was a fresh change and I liked seeing Italy. I'd like to visit there one day.

Family Guy Season 4 - Damn choosing a season here was hard. The show is hilarious. Not much to say here but it's a very good comedy cartoon I really like. But shows like this have their best moments, not their best seasons.

South Park Season 8 - This was hard. Difficult to choose a season and it's the same as above. I don't know if Season 8 is my fav but I threw it out there. They have their good moments and episodes but idk about all round season. So many eps and seasons too so it's hard to choose.

I think for a lot of shows that the first season is usually the best and some TV shows may not have many seasons. Don't have a lot of shows but I'm gonna start getting into Mad Men and Breaking Bad sometime soon.

Heroes S1 - Where the greatness started.
Heroes S4 - Where the greatness was revived. The plot was twisted than ever and had a great storyline before the motherfuckers shut it down.

Lost S2 - The drama of it all, just hooked up.

The 4400 S4 - Again, one of the shows which was at the peak of its storyline when it got cancelled.

Fringe S3 - Best stories of the lot. All of them are fucking amazing though.

Californication S3 - The college thing was shittingly hilarious.

White Collar S1 - Was much more fun then. Has gone down from there IMO.

Sherlock (BBC) - S2 - Just the ending to the show, the mystery of his survival makes it a steal.

The O.C. S1 - Could relate to a lot of things in this story.

Boston Legal S1 - The original cast was the most hilarious one.

Fringe - Season 1

Best ending I've seen in recent times. Season 5 should be mind numbingly epic.

The Mentalist - Season 3

This is probably the maximum amount of comedy that can be extracted from such a disturbing subject matter. Perfect balance of comedy and darkness in this show.

Californication - Season 1

Self-explanatory. Particularly the ending scene where the apparent "happy ending" is shown in a freeze frame, very symbolic, considering that your average romance movies don't show what happens AFTER the guy and the girl get together, which is usually when everything goes to hell. Haven't seen the recent seasons, but very good show overall.

While I wouldn't necessarily call it a season, the Cell saga in DBZ was quite frankly amazing, especially Gohan's transformation. Everything was done so precisely. Also, I love the Zabuza saga in Naruto. It was almost like watching Goku go SS again for the first time.

The Wire Season 4 - Pretty much love all the seasons and it's really close between all of them but 2 but 4 always takes the edge for me.

The Game Season 4 - Was the most drama driven season of the series thus far that made me wanna tune in the following week to know what went down so it takes it for me.

Drawing blanks for other shows I watched for some reason.

Sopranos season 6 (inc final episodes) - Incredible show and wonderful final season.

Dexter season 4 - The finale, wow.

Lost season 2 - at its most gripping. Shame it went downhill after this.

Am currently on the final season of the Sopranos and think it is wonderful up there with three as my favoruite.
