I'm just saying now when people are pissed off at Cody - ie the HYPE TRAIN is not in full swing - you can justify turning him anyway.

True. And honestly, I just want him to turn sooner than later so he can go back on his no world title match stipulation. Maybe I’m alone, but as a Cody fan, I want to see him in the hunt at the top of the card eventually.

Nah you are not alone at all. Cody was a great face on year 1 but I think he's simply more suited to be a heel and he's been an OTT stuck up guy all year. His feud also lack meat atm , n he feels less important than last year with Kenny and the bucks feeling the exact opposite. I'd be actually down w a cocky new wave American. I'd welcome a turn and in fact feel in well overdue . I'd have loved for him to lose a big match n snap on Arn.

Hell the way he talked down to QT most of the feud wasn't exactly screaming babyface either right?

I do. Just not soon. I kinda want it to go to Hangman next and then MJF like right after. Like a month later.

Then give MJF a quality run and then we can run back the feud with Cody and Cody then finally wins the belt.

I don't like Cody as a top guy, I don't think he's got that x-factor I want from my top guys. The only thing that makes him being a top guy believable is that he is a VP or whatever. I'd much rather see him heel it up vs up-and-coming faces in the mid-to-upper--mid card.

Agree to disagree there. He’s got the factor in spades.

Agree to disagree there for sure, I think he's got the fire in promos and has proven it before, and can go well enough in the ring to give classics (See: vs dustin, vs Aldis). The whole only believable because he is a VP, with all due respect, is a pretty disrespectful pro-WWE trope (or at the very least, it very much comes off that way). The dude busted his ass in the indies for years and is enough of a draw for TNT to give him his own show. Clearly people see money there, or else he wouldn't be getting such deals in the first place. He was also VERY over with live crowds for quite some time pre-pandemic era. There's nothing about his current presentation that doesn't scream main eventer to me.

The trend here though - Smark is US based.
Jeff and ACE - are Internationally based.

Case and point. An American Face, can also be perceived as a heel by others.

End of the day - Ogogo is King and he covered Cody with the greatest flag in the histroy of the world.

Facts. Man took a Twitter bet from Uncle Dave and managed to have the best drawing crowd for a show not affiliated with WCW or WWE in two decades.

This was even my point. The dynamic of these kinds of feuds where the American babyface becomes the heel outside the US is a cool one.

I dont see Cody as a heel here though - I just saw it as a promo that should never have been adlibbed. I dig Ogogo - but he is a heel.

fantasy 2022 booking : MJF and Cody double turn as MJF is kicked out of The Pinnacle (Cody usurps, ofc)
