I think the major thing is that, and perhaps I'm speaking out of turn/for others, is that generally people REALLY don't want politics involved in their wrestling. I just think Ogogo draped the flag over him first so that made it a country thing and Cody simply added the stuff bout his family because he’s a proud papa to be.

Yeah that's a fair take. It cuts both ways, and while I'm enjoying poking fun, I'm not going to go out of my way to say the guy is a scumbag or anything. I agree with you he likely had good intentions, and it just came off bad. sometimes the best intentions have shitty results and I do think thats what happened here.
