Town is going to have standard protection. Unless there is a counter then i'd agree with Gambit, saying the claim does nothing for you is scummy.

There are more protective roles than bodyguard. Scum can have bodyguards and we have seen this recently.

I agree with Nom that bodyguard is a NAI claim, voting to lynch the claimed BG not even half way through D1 is a bad look tho.

FWIW we have no-lynched 2 out of the last 3 games with the 1 being an awful rushed lynch with 5 minutes left in the phase.

I don't have any problem with Phenom wanting to get a lynch done as either alignment. It's the fact it's on a day 1 claimed BG that is my issue.

unless your play is solely to gain some positive utility from the role and not to survive, you would need to disclose otherwise once people starting being infected you're going to be lynched.

I’ll move my vote when i see something to move it to. I know that seems contradictory to what i said about lethal but at least gambit is about and has claimed where lethal won’t be around to claim for a long while. I would love a lethal claim as well so that’s clear.

BG is the kinda role I don't lynch d1 unless the corresponding play is so scummy it hurts. Which I don't think it's quite that bad here, I still got the scum lean for Gambit but I don't think it's enough to let the hammer fall.

what is this based on? Do you feel this would outweigh the benefit afforded by claiming a top tier role?
