Finally watched Wolf Of Wall Street.

Good movie, but fuck me it's long.

I honestly never felt that way with Wolf of Wall Street. I mean yeah it's obviously long, but never did it FEEL long for me. At over 3 hours they really did a great job of keeping that movie extremely entertaining continuously over those 3 hours, never a dull moment.

Wolf felt really long to me on first watch but rewatching it doesn't feel as long. It's so good and fun that the run time doesn't bother me.

Saw Interstellar last night:

+Amazing special effects and top notch cinematography (as expected from a Nolan film)
+An ambitious, clever and moving journey
+Hans Zimmer channeling his inner Philip Glass and delivering his most different soundtrack to date. The music fits with the film like a glove.
+Excellent acting from nearly the entire cast. McConaughey completely nailed the role. Worthy of an academy award nomitation for best actor. Same for Jessica Chastain (best suppoting actress).

-Same problem as Dark Knight Rises: It's far too long. Whoever edited this film and DKR needs to be fired. Some scenes in the first act had nothing to do with the rest of the film. With a running time of 150 minutes instead of 170, the film would have been marginally better.
-Perhaps TOO ambitious. The final 30 minutes will polarize the entire internet.
-Sound mixing issues. The music was way louder than the dialogue in a number of key scenes.
-The addition of a certain character 2/3 into the film feels like an afterthought. It's as if he was just there simply to set into motion the action and suspenseful scenes of the final act (which are remarkably well directed, to be fair)
-Ending spoilers:
I'm satisfied with the ending, but Cooper not saying farewell to his grandchildren was beyond idiotic.

Alas, it is the end of 2014 and year end lists are starting to come in. SO let's start with Empire's. Note that Empire is British and therefore works on UK release dates.

1. Boyhood
2. Nightcrawler
3. The Wolf Of Wall Street
4. Inside Llewyn Davis
5. Guardians Of The Galaxy
6. Edge Of Tomorrow
7. The Grand Budapest Hotel
8. What We Do In The Shadows
9. Dawn of The Planet Of The Apes
10. Her

Wow, I was sure Empire would give Chris Nolan their usual blowjob and put Interstellar in the top spot. The fact that it's not even on the list makes it so much more legitimate.

Anyhow, Her should be much higher up on that list but I don't disagree with the majority of the films on it.

I haven't seen it yet; how different would you say it is from the original?

Ah... I can't compare. I haven't seen the original or any of the other Leprechaun movies. Although this Leprechaun doesn't talk and I heard the originals are good for the one liners the guy said.

I watched High School Musical 1 again last night, that movie is seriously exceptional.

Way different, more of an actual horror instead of a comedy disguised as a horror movie. There's one death scene that's off the charts. Definitely worth the watch.

Watching Barefoot in the Park for the first time. It's real good, kinda surprised. Read the wiki real quick and it's weird discovering Redford did this on broadway, dude's so good. Kinda wish Natalie Wood would've taken the role of the wife because I love her but Jane Fonda is perfect.

I don't have time to read all 628 post so idk if this has been talked about. Has anyone seen Freedom Writers? This is a really good movie, I saw it first back in High School and I liked it so much that I had to get the DVD. If you haven't I suggest you watch it.
