Just watched Best of the Best (1989), this movie to me was really bad, and boring. Was anyone a fan of this movie?

Raises hand. I love the first two Best of the Best Necro. I'm a huge Action/Martial Arts lover like Fuji is and this is a film I see at least once a Year. I still come to tears towards the end when Dae Han tells Tommy I'll be your Brother for killing yours many years ago. Both are Brothers in real life and between that, guys fighting for pride, a fight scene in a Bar, all the ingredients for the perfect soup for me.

Some movies I watched in the past few days.

Funny Farm (1988) 7 out of 10

Love Chevy Chase movies, this movie is pretty slow moving but reminds me of my childhood. There's a lot of underrated fun in this movie.

Midnight Cowboy (1969) 9 out of 10

One of my favorites, if you haven't watched this movie you really have to soon.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) 7 out of 10

This movie gets a lot of shit from people, but I actually really liked it. It wasn't anything scary, but just went by quick, and kept my interests.

Hackers (1995) 3 out of 10

This movie is so damn bad, but it's one of those movies I love seeing to see what they thought the future would be. So hilarious in a cringeworthy way.

I'm in one of those phases where I can't finish many films, anyone else like that? I get through about 30-40 minutes and I'm just like "I can't be bothered"

I'm finding a movie has to really grab me these days, so I've been re-watching a lot of stuff.

Warner Bros. Will Release All Their 2021 Films on HBO Max and in Theaters Simultaneously

Warner Bros. is plotting a sweeping response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has shuttered movie theaters around the country. After announcing that Wonder Woman 1984 will go to HBO Max as well as theaters Dec. 25, the studio has laid out a similar path for its 2021 slate amid uncertainty about when moviegoing will get back to normal.

The studio announced Thursday day-and-date releases for its 17-film slate, which will hit HBO Max for a one-month window that starts the same day they will be available in U.S. theaters. The studio's 2021 slate includes projects such as:
  • The Suicide Squad
  • The Matrix 4
  • Dune
  • Godzilla vs. Kong
  • Space Jam: A New Legacy
  • Little Things
  • Judas and the Black Messiah
  • Tom & Jerry
  • Mortal Kombat
  • Those Who Wish Me Dead
  • The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
  • In The Heights
  • Reminiscence
  • Malignant
  • The Many Saints of Newark
  • King Richard
  • Cry Macho
The unprecedented move is likely to catch theater owners off guard and upsets a model that has been in place for decades. Warner Bros. stresses that these are pandemic-only rules, but once something is broken, can you really put it back together again? This also raises serious concerns about the landscape of moviegoing in 2021.

I should be focusing on the death of theaters, and how this could affect the entire film industry....but I'm more on the "Matrix 4?!?!?! :wtf "

When theaters become a cheap commodity that people go to for nostalgia and I can watch new releases as soon as I want to in the comfort of my own home :banderas:

I'm all for it....fuck theaters.

Eat what I want, drink what I want, not wear pants if I want.....and no assholes talking, cellphones going off or shitty kids ruining the movie.

To be honest I'm not shocked more Companies haven't already done this already. All these Companies pushing back films I'm like come on now the Covid will be still be around when the next date happens. Looking at the slate of Movies for sure MK, Dune, new Conjuring film which I know alot about, and Matrix 4 all I'm looking forward to. Don't forget Wonder Woman is coming out in a few weeks so that is going to be huge as well.

Has anyone here seen the movie Rabbit Test from 1978? It looks like it may be the best movie ever made.

So there is a rumor that Wedding Crashers is getting a sequel. This gives me bad vibes, first was so perfect. With the time in between I have little faith in this, but maybe I should be more positive.

The Tomorrow War. 7/10 - A solid action movie and a decent waste of a couple of hours. Oh, and it stars Yvonne Strahovski too - so there's that.

Three Kings - 8/10

Somehow I've missed this movie, but damn glad I have got round to watching it. Brilliant stuff.

I rewatched Back to the Future yesterday, I swear this movie is incapcable of ever getting old. Idk how it manages to be so entertaining despite practically knowing every line and scene. Unreal.

Self bump:

I watched Stir of Echoes last night with Kevin Bacon. Quite an old film but I'd never seen it. Very effective ghost story with some good scares and a great performance out of Mr. Bacon. Would highly recommend.

Seems this movie didn't do so well because of Sixth Sense coming out, despite it being equally as enjoyable.
