Scared? No. It is possible to not want to be lynched as town as well as scum.

I think it was evident to me that Ekko was trying to slip me up and even if I think he’s scum, so? Say he is successful and I do accidentally make a mistake (which town players can do because bad play does not ALWAYS mean scum) and then I get jumped on by everyone else? I can’t be aware of that? Just because I think Ekko is spouting tripe doesn’t mean that everyone else will, does it? He did those things as a guise to “getting me involved” when he was the only person really saying that I wasn’t by taking issue with a post no one else seems to have a problem with.

Then as soon as I’d pushed back on him enough and disproved most of what he was saying because players such as Sky and Evans were disagreeing with him, he actually backed down because he knew he wasn’t going to get anywhere.

The reason he needed to try and put me in the positions where I could trip up is because he didn’t have enough basis in the first place and he needed to justify himself.

It’s not news that this is how I play. I take time to consider things and I am careful with my votes. This is how I have played near every game I’ve played here and in other places since I developed my meta over on WC. I have spent most of the games here defending myself because people will still use my play style as a reason to go after me even if there’s nothing wrong with what I’ve said. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with explaining a read - even if it is null - and Ekko using that as a basis to go for me was weak.

And of course I was implying that his play was scummy, but he was acting like I was ranting and raving about it and calling him scummy like he was to me. I never actually called him scummy at that point in the game.

It’s the weekend so I’m busy with family today. Will be back this evening.

So do you think he is scum or just playing a scummy game?

I dont have a vivid memory but what I do remember is he kinda blends into the background and just chimes in from time to time. What I do remember tho is that the posts he does make are usually solid as either alignment. Not sure I've seen too much of a contrast between his play as alignments, but what I noticed here is the posts he was making were pretty much all window dressing. I didn't really like him asking what a ML was as it seems fairly obvious in context when you've played mafia before, but it just struck me as "here's an easy post i can make" ditto his observation about blaine "jumping in early" but when asked to expand he didn't really take any opportunity to ponder what it would mean for blaine's alignment, just that he posted more words than usual. Didn't really seem like he wanted to get involved in game solve talk, and all of his posts were either not game related or just casual observations and I expect more insight from him

I still don't know what ML is or maybe I am being dense, but that neither here nor there.

Now the Blaine stuff I am still trying to figure out. His posts seem like they are generated and have more thought involved. When he made the longer entry post, I was shocked like I said before. It could be that since he has matured and graduated high school he has changed his play up and is more engaging. I still need to see if this is something that he keeps up because in all of my time playing with Blaine he has never made super long posts or expressed his thoughts in that manner.

Is this just a prediction on what? Haza has one post and Lethal has none that I recall? Just trying to get a feel for why you think that.

i just said the post would be fine if she has other relveant conetent in thread. that post being her sole contribution is not good

and idk her history with blain..i just know that what she presented has no value considering blain could have grown over this time too. and she didnt have to make that post if all she got from it was a null. she could just have scrapped the draft and start doing something else with her time in the game

I believe she has some history with him in the past but not overly sure how much. I know he played here for a little bit and stopped probably due to being a senior in school and not contributing. No Clue.

Ibam going to jump on on this before going back to where I last read.

I must ask how you have nothing to give on me when we have played together for the past what 5 years possibly give or take? Other than Man, Grim, and OMB you have the most out of anyone in this game. So I find this post very odd.

got incredibly sidetracked because i got left to handle this house all by myself + had an essay i desperately needed to work on butlet'smoveonfromthere

it's been 3 years at the most, I joined WC around September of 2020 (jesus it's been that long) and here around December of 2020. There was a huge period of time where I just wasn't playing and if I was, I wasn't really "playing" the game rather than sitting around and floating.. I'm trying to do more now, but I have major room to improve

this post also confuses me slightly because i don't know if you're directly addressing me. i'm not sure how much mafia you've played on here but I don't feel like we've played all that often. like i said, I didn't "play" the game enough or show enough care previously to really get that previous player read.

Because your play was getting increasingly scummier and it eventually arrived at a point where I became more confident you weren’t just acting on a bad read and we’re more likely just scum.

Im not sure about evans personally. I've seen him get caught up on dumb shit so many times. I do think he looks the best direction if mando is scum tho. If mando is town then I just don't know. I'd probably say he's playing more in line with what I expect of him as town tbh

So if Man is scum you think Evans is scum? If Man is town you believe he is town then?

And it’s funny that Ekko keeps referencing how I’d be stronger with a team behind me or whatever because I think it’s possibly more than a coincidence that his worst posts come around when Poyser isn’t here.

Poyser has in the past as scum been able to come up with reasons to justify a vote on someone, and he has done this to me before. His line of me looking alright up until a certain point and then the voting of me and his reasoning supporting Ekko’s narrative reminded me of that.

If Ekko flips scum then I think it lends a lot more credence to Poyser being on the team as well.
