I think Kevin Martin might surprise some people.

He probably wasn't the best option as a the #1 or #2 option but with OKC he's gonna be the 3rd or 4th option on the court. I think he'll thrive at that role.

Yeah he's probably thrilled to finally be on a winning team that can contend. That said this is pretty much a one year deal for him since I doubt they resign him in the offseason and Jeremy Lamb and Percy Jones will be the guys who will make OKC forget about Harden. Will be quite scary if they somehow get Nerlens Noel (assuming he comes out) in the draft since they need to draft a big next year.

Calling it. Kevin Martin to Utah for Al or Millsap, and then Perk gets amnestied in the summer.

That said the Rockets are going to be lol worthy since Lin and Harden both suck ass defensively, and their offense doesn't compliment one another. The pg who can't convert at the rum anymore off that knee and without a 3 ball, who needs to dominate the ball despite being turnover prone. The SG with no mid range game at all, who can't post up, and whose right side is more dead than Odom or Ginobilis ever was, and who now faces the Reggie Miller rules penalizing drawing fouls by kicking your legs out.

Rockets had an ass tasting offseason with Asik being paid that price despite not even being a 15min a night player for a full season, paying Lin a mil for every good game he has had in his career, now reportedly giving Harden a full max bigger than OKC could have ever offered, and having to pay Delfino more than the min to meet the league basement for a team salary. They won't even be as good as they would with Lowry, Dragic, Martin, and Scola had they started them all. I feel sorry for Mchale

Only thing I see happening with what you said is the Perk part. Do think Al Jefferson and/or Millsap will get traded just not in that deal.

if they somehow get a pick from 4-6(since they can't get top 3) and get good defensive big then they'll 100% become a dynasty. they already have so many players with such high potential like Jones and Lamb, while Westbrook/Durant are STILL improving. like fuck.

Why exactly would they do that? I don't see any reason at all.
The Thunder team lacks a post scoring presence. Utah has a ton of bigs to the point they are still thinking of Paul at SF and Gordon at SG despite both being out of position. They could free up time by moving Al or Paul to OKC and at the same time put Gordon at his true position and get a starting SG in Martin.

Yeah considering how awesome OKC is at drafting it is quite scary for them to be a young as hell championship contending team with a deep team as it is and possibly have 2 top 15 picks in a draft that will probably have some good big men to choose from.

Utah would not do that, dude. Their only reason for trading Millsap is because his contract is expiring - why the hell would they take a major step down in talent and take on Martin, who's also expiring? It doesn't make sense.

Thunder have made mistakes, ones that people like to forget.

like drafting Cole Aldrich.

and starting Green over Ibaka for so long, but they fixed that rather quickly by trading his bum ass. smart decisions is why they will contend as long as Presti remains competent.

Esp doesn't make sense when they drafted Alec Burks who is a 2 guard.

Is crazy to think Houstonnwill maybe invest over 30M a year starting next year in 3 guys who if you combined the number of games they started together, still wouldn't be close to 82.

Thats dumb ass management at its finest

It's so sad how much irrational and unwarranted hate Jeff Green gets.

And yeah there's no way Utah trades Millsap or Jefferson for Martin. Terrible deal for Utah and really no point in the deal for OKC.

Cherry-picking stats is fun. This statement works fine as applied to Asik and Lin but to classify Harden by his number of starts is pretty Blue.

Clearly Harden is the best player in that deal but Martin will give them a good year and to be honest I think Lamb is exactly the kind of player they need. Harden and Durant as perimeter defenders together just didn't work well. Lamb is solid on the perimeter and is the pick and pop 3 point shooter designed for that offense. When you add in the picks they definitely got their money's worth.
