Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

Have watched the first two seasons and the four episodes of season 3 in the last week to make me up to date. Absolutely love it.

The jump from watching multiple episodes a day to having to wait a week for one killed me when I did that lol, I finished seasons 1 and 2 in the week before the 3rd season started.

I know what you guys mean. I managed to catch up the day before the season two finale. No week wait for me. I had to wait a whole year haha.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

I have 4 episodes left of the 2nd season and shall be waiting anxiously for the 3rd to be finished so I can download it. I hate downloading single episodes of shows honestly. I don't get HBO, so I'm forced to wait and download...

Think the anticipation helps build shows that week wait is what makes shows like game of thrones and The following.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

OH SHIT! Ygritte finally gets nude in the newest episode :wank:

EDIT: Brienne gets nude too :HD:

EDIT2: Really enjoyed this week's episode, had so much character development, especially Robb and Jaime. The ending scene with the Lannisters was probably unintentionally hilarious just because of the whole father/son and father/daughter relationship you don't ever really think of with Tywin and his children.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

If you guys aren't reading the books I strongly suggest you do. As amazing as the show is the best episodes are the ones that follow the book more closely than when the writers for the show use their own ideas, the last two episodes are examples of great the show is when they follow the book more closely as I'd say the last two were the best of the series. Martin is one hell of a writer and is a mastermind in creativity and both of those statements are vast understatements and not giving him enough credit for how great his story really is.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

So basically you're saying that a TV series that's based on books is at it's best when it actually follows said books?

Fabulous point.

I was looking forward to Hound/Beric but it felt like they failed to capture The Hound's fear of fire as much as I was hoping they would =(.

I don't want to read the books now because then I'll be completely disappointed.

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

Read the books afterwards then, you get to enjoy the show, and then get to enjoy it the way it was meant to be.

Its probably also easier to follow with the amount of characters after watching the show and familiarizing yourself with a vast majority.

Definitely. The episodes that have followed the books closely have been the best.

That's how I feel as well, and to be honest I probably won't even read the books afterwards because I'm lazy.
