I've just been saying to some of my buddies, I wasn't a fan of this episode.

It all felt so forced and over the top. Like a blatantly obvious ploy to incite more hate towards the EVIL LANNISTERS. I spoke of this when poor old Ned lost his head, but the show can be so black/white sometimes. I know certain characters aren't so clear-cut, but the main structure of the show has always been based round the EVIL LANNISTERS and the EVIL THINGS THEY DO. Then on the other hand, you've got Denny, who's hellbent on freeing all slaves en route to conquering the world.

I couldn't use this comparison with my (non-wrestling fan) friends, but it's like watching wrestling. The Lannisters are the heel Jericho smashing a bottle of Jack Daniels over babyface CM Punk's head and making him drink it.

I think something more subtle would have sufficed, but nope, they had to go with the most brutal scene possible, with regards from the Lannisters.

It's like it's written with the idea of pissing people off so much, that they just keep reading in hope of some payoff. Something tells me there will be very little till the last series.

It's weird watching this show really, and I don't know if I'll be able to explain this very well. But it's like, I don't like or dislike things that happen, I just want to know what happens next to each of the characters. I don't like it when someone I like dies, but I just feel like it had to happen, IDK it's weird.

It is kind of like a heel show, but power is the name of the game (no pun intended) and all the players have to do some questionable (and often dastardly) things in order to win. I'd like to pull the quote from Little Finger right now, but can't quote it verbatim. Of course, the Lannisters are in power right now, so they are the most openly corrupt. If it were the Starks, the Frey's, or even if the Targyrions were still in power, the roles would be reversed.

The moral of the story is one we've seen and heard a million times. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Did nobody else watch this?

Varys & Shae's interaction was one of my favorite parts of the episode, as we are shown Varys is looking out for King's Landing, and Westeros. Still cant figure out if Dog is breaking Arya, or if its the other way around, but the 2 of them together has been very intriguing. Just no Baelish!

Arya and The Hound together has been fucking awesome so far. I was a little underwhelmed by the episode though, but I feel as though it was just because of how crazy episode 9 was. No Baelish was sad :(

I do agree it really didn't feel like a finale, and probably would have been better suited as a premier especially after the wedding gift.

They put the wolf on Robs head awesome. Lot of bitching about this episode but I loved it. Shed light on a lot of stuff and sent everything in motion for next season. Only thing I hated was the end with Danny and the slaves just came off as really corny to me. 10 more months til new episodes.

I agree with the end. Wish we'd got a little more of what Arya is thinking doing at this point.

I like what they did with her though....showed a change in that's been building where she killed the guy. Saw her father killed her brother with a wolf head sewn on her body her mother is dead and she has no idea where the rest of her family is and whether there alive or not. She was slowly loosing her innocence and her first kill was officially the end of the old arya.

That was the first man she killed not her first kill but I agree. I can see her trying to get to Bravos now to train with Jaqen since she has no family to reunite with. I could be totally wrong though but I like these pairing that everyone's doing. Brienne and Jamie, Hound and Arya, Snow and Ygritte even though that's over. Considering the past two seasons enders, I can definitely see why people feel a bit let down at the end but I don't mind. I think this was a very strong consistent season. Could have done without most of Theon's torture but besides that it was an excellent season. I really liked this past episodes theme of what family means to everyone. It's a great way to end the season. Also the war of the five kings seems like it'll be on hold until is White Walker business gets death with.

Maybe I'm just a sick fuck, but I loved those parts.

I don't mind gore. I actually really love gory movies but in Game of Thrones it just seems so off putting. Mainly it was just boring. Three torture scenes would have been plenty enough. The first one, Theon thinks he escapes and the last bit with the girls but that should have been no more than 2 minutes long. The torture scenes were basically just there to say "hey remember Theon?"
