David Bradley did such a wonderful job playing William Hartnall that they were able to cast him to play the 1st doctor (Don't remember when you started but it was at the end of Peter Capaldi's run).
Matt Smiths run is still my favorite, as his version of the character was so much fun. Also, as Wangman Page said, the 50th anniversary Special (Day of the Doctor) is really fun. Can't wait for you to get there.
Yeah he was really charming in the TV Movie awesome he got to play the role further. One Scene has David Bradley as Hartnall in the Park with his Wife and all these kids come up to him wanting to hang out and explore with the Doctor. It had me tearing up. As for Smith as the Doctor I do believe she had at one point had a love for the Doctor further than just a friend or a person she considered family. Eventually that was erased for me but don't think I didn't miss Amy believing in the Doctor's Word when she needed that you're going to be okay way more than Rory.
