- Russell Westbrook is an abysmal shooter. 42.8 % from the field and 30.5 % beyond the arc. He's only made 65 treys all season long.
- James Harden is a p*ssy. He draws ticky tack fouls which has boosted his free throw efficiency. He's attempted 159 free throws than Westbrook, who is #2. The difference is, Westbrook draws legit fouls by attacking the rim.
Explain how a jump shooter, not known for his athleticism can have 159 free throw attempts than erratic athlete such as Westbrook. Harden flops, kicks and takes dives. F*ck that a**hole.

- Stephen Curry is shooting 47.9% from the field, 42.2% beyond the arc (which is low for him) and has made a league leading 233 treys. He also leads the league in free throw percentage and steals.
This isn't even close. Curry isn't even trying, guys. He's doing this in his sleep. He's not even playing in the 4th quarter. Dude is in the zone. The other two are struggling and profoundly inefficient.

The numbers don't lie. Don't allow the 'experts' to fool you into the whole Durant/Howard hoopla. If that were legit criteria, then Allen Iverson may as well have earned at least 5 MVP's, instead of the one he didn't deserve anyway.

Kevin Durant announced as being out for the rest of the season.. he will undergo bone graft surgery that has him out of activities for 4-6 months.

So can we just give Curry the MVP already? (Or The Brow, either or)

Anthony Davis is in consideration for top 5 but Curry is like at the tippy top with 10ish games left Harden is like two steps below him and then 5 steps below them is Westbrook with LeBron creeping on him by a step or two.

Iverson is one of my 5 favorite players of all time but he didn't deserve that MVP over Duncan or Shaq. Realistically Shaq should have 3-4 more MVPs than he got.

Iverson was amazing to watch but he was an inefficient chucker. I LOVED him, but he was a bit overrated, much like Westbrook's season has been overrated this year.

You've formed my exact opinion of Allen Iverson.
The only amazing thing I find about Westbrook this year is that he's doing much of his work in only 34.3 minutes per game
I find that number astonishing given his production in such a relatively short period of playing time.

Nonetheless, this isn't a video game yet Russ believes it is. Curry is averaging only 32.8 minutes per, while Harden averages 36.9 minutes per.
Given Curry is incredible efficiency and low turnover rate (3.1), it's fair to assume his numbers would be even higher if the team required him to play longer.
By the way, Westbrook is turning the rock over 4.4 and Harden turns over the rock 4.0 times per contest.

Curry will win mvp because the numbers are nuts but I think the player with the most value to his team is LeBron. Heat lost bosh but without lbj they are a weird team. I guess the loss of Allen and others might have hurt too. Cave are just ridiculous now. LeBron put cle back in the thick of things and k love hasn't produced like what he's capable of. The shump/jr smith/mozgov additions were great but without Bron that team probably isn't a top 4 seed. Curry refuses to let anyone in the chase and he is one of the most popular players, as well as fan favs now. Rdy for the playoffs, there are some interesting teams in the west, and would ya know it the spurs are the spurs. I like Cleveland in the east, not sure about west but I can't bet against pop

Do you think ~70 games of LeBron is more valuable than ~80 games of Curry?

I agree LeBron is still the best and most valuable player heading into the playoffs, but Curry deserves the regular season MVP. He has been consistent and hasn't missed as many games as Bron Bron.

WCF: Spurs vs Warriors. Should be a classic series. Home Court makes me much more confident only having 2 losses at home all year (YEA one was to SA)
ECF: Bulls vs Cavs. I don't trust Atlanta in the playoffs, plus losing Thabo is a bigger blow than most realize for them.

Finals: Warriors vs Cavs

I'd love to say Warriors/Bulls because that's what I had in preseason, but I'm not going to do the whole "well I had this so I'll stick with it!" schtick. Cleveland improved over the course of the season and are the clear favorites in the East.

Warriors vs Cavs is the series we deserve as NBA fans. Would be ratings heaven and great basketball to watch

My imaginary MVP Ballot:

1.) Curry

2.) Harden

3.) Anthony Davis
4.) Chris Paul
5.) LeBron James
6.) Russell Westbrook

I'm 1000% putting a preseason bet next year on Davis being the 2016 MVP. I think he could win a string of them. He has endless potential

I have always predicted a Patrick Ewing-like carrer for Davis - a dominant franchise center stuck in a mediocre club, one or two finals, zero rings.
