I mean ffs, what is exactly a "work" about him no-showing a meet and greet of all things? Because it's "in character"? Undertaker, a man who always was in character, always appeared at meet and greets and never once no-showed without a legitimate reason for doing so.

Customers paid a fuck ton of money for this, and you're telling me some grand master strategy is to have one of your biggest names not even bother showing up? Then have to possibly refund a bunch of people? All for the sake of a little extra intrigue to a match that was already one of the most hyped matches of the year.

If it is a "work", it's one of the most batshit dumb "works" I've ever seen in my entire life. People need to stop defending this kind of horseshit and acting like it would totally be "in character". It doesn't matter from a character perspective, at the end of the day, it's the business perspective that matters most.

If the flight wasn’t booked then I would say yeah. But he had a flight booked and didn’t get on it. Which is why I’m thinking something might have been worked out.

I'm 99% it's a work. And here's my reason. I have found nothing to suggest MJF was booked to appear at fan fest. The official AEW website has times and graphics of who will appear, MJF wasn't on any of them. I found nothing regarding ticket sales/bookings for the MJF meet and greet.

The only evidence of anything has been dirt sheet writers. Who all copied the stories from a single source.

I keep hearing this "people lost $100" bs or whatever. I don't buy it. "Oh it's on twitter". I haven't seen anything from a direct source on twitter. And I've looked.

MJF isn't dumb. Tony Khan isn't dumb. This has been a work from day 1. MJF knows how to do MJF. I don't think they screwed any fans. Look at the numbers of posts and articles posted today about this.

If you're PPV is on a Sunday, the thing you want more than anything is people talking about it like crazy the day before. And it worked. MJF will be there. The man is a professional.

You probably didn’t look hard enough. I saw tweets earlier from fans there. I’ll have to look to find them again but they was there.

It makes no sense to have him not show up for a meet and greet to work people, zero. Makes zero sense to lie if he wasn’t supposed to have one, as folks there would be saying that he wasn’t supposed to be there.
