Yeah, if it ever came out he was actually on coke and the memes and jokes were true, I wouldn’t even be shocked. I’d just laugh.

I'd be far more surprised if he wasn't on coke or Adderall

MJF HAS ARRIVED IN....

By Mike Johnson on 2022-05-31 17:03:00
Several readers sent word that MJF was spotted at LAX this afternoon, so he's on the West Coast in advance of AEW's debut in LA this Wednesday at the Kia Forum and the Rampage taping this Friday in Ontario, CA.

Whether he appears or not at Dynamite tomorrow remains to be seen, but it's confirmed he's in the area.

MJF has made no secrets regarding the expiration of his AEW contract in 2024, highlighting that he’ll be considering his options when that time comes.

During a recent PWTorch VIP audio show, Wade Keller touched upon WWE’s interest in the AEW star, with WWE seemingly willing to offer MFJ a significant financial package should he decide to make the switch.

Keller also noted that WWE’s treatment of former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes has increased MJF’s own interest in joining the company.

“A source within WWE with knowledge of MJF’s stature among top WWE management indicates MJF is coveted and would likely be given a lucrative contract offer. In fact, it’s more than one source giving me information that with a big overlap on this. More than one source says that the treatment Cody has received by WWE on and off-air has given MJF a good impression of how he’d be featured in WWE if he were to make the jump. In other words, if Cody was buried or was given promises that were kept, maybe MJF would be handling this differently.”
-Wade Keller
Keller continued, pointing out that WWE would even be willing to look past MJF’s backstage issues with his current employer when considering making him an offer, although MJF may need to consider how his actions in public reflect on his professionalism.

“One source in WWE told me that MJF is seen as such a commodity that his recent and tractable behaviour on and off-air with AEW wouldn’t deter Vince McMahon from making him a lucrative offer. Although a falling out with AEW could take away considerable leverage for MJF, MJF’s value to WWE would remain high. They need people. He’s young, he’s good, and he’d be paid accordingly, regardless of his reputation in AEW. Now maybe that changes a little bit with the headache that Vince McMahon feels Sasha Banks and Naomi put him through, but maybe not. But his reputation, in general, might take a blow if details about his latest interactions with Khan and AEW reflect poorly on his professionalism.”
-Wade Keller
It remains to be seen what the next stage of these ongoing disputes between MJF and AEW will hold, although WWE’s interest in Friedman is sure to cause considerably more headaches for Tony Khan whenever the pair decide to reenter negotiations.

Speaking to Andreas Hale on The Corner podcast on Friday night, before Double or Nothing, Khan was asked about MJF's situation.

"I can't...he's been a big part of the company from day one, but I can't really speculate on what he's been saying about stuff that is unrelated to his match with Wardlow. It's not related to what we're talking about on television," he said.

MJF has been very open about his contract situation with AEW, saying he will go where the money goes and will listen to an offer from WWE when his AEW contract expires at the start of 2024.

When asked if he was surprised by MJF's comments regarding his contract, Khan replied, "No, I'm not surprised, for a variety of reasons. Coming out of this weekend, as of now and everything he's done in AEW, he's been a huge part of the success of the company and he's signed here for a long time. It's 2022, and 2024 is a long way away."

The MJF character wouldn't work well in WWE's PG territory. He's doing great in AEW, all he has left to do is win the world title.

He’d get over but he can’t be this version of MJF in WWE.

I forget if it was this thread or a different one, but I said MJF in WWE is going to be The Miz. He won’t be able to curse as much; he won’t be able to flip people off.

Like The Miz though, he doesn’t need to do those things to get heat. He’s a good enough heel that people want to see him get the shit kicked out of him just by him using the cheapest of cheap heat.

If/When he does jump ship, he’ll be fine.

He doesn't need to curse or flip people off, he's not Shane Douglas.
