MJF legit no-shows DoN fan fest, AEW unable to get in contact with him

I really don't know what to make of all this, just going to wait and see tonight. Hope the match goes ahead as planned as the storyline has been so flawlessly built up and it was supposed to be Wardlow's huge moment. Easily the hottest feud going in.

Work or not, this definitely does play in to the storyline of MJF wanting no part of facing Wardlow though, I must say.

He really is a moron if he thinks doing this is going to get him a bigger pay day from WWE. Does he for one instance think that Vince McMahon is not going to know about all of this? Throwing a public hissy fit is not doing himself any favor.

If he is let out of his contract or if he is forced to sit it out, WWE is not going to pay him more money. In fact, since he would have burned the bridge with AEW, Vince could likely get away with paying him next to nothing if he even cares to sign him in the first place.

I think he never intended to miss the match he was just trying to make a point. Unfortunately it came at the expense of the fans and was really a piss poor way to make it. But also it’s MJF and he lives his gimmick so who knows what’s going on in his mind.

I feel if he is no showing, time to call it and confirm it on AEW's part.

My idea is ditch the mixed tag and announce due to MJF's no show, WARDLOW is getting a TNT title shot. Make it a fatal 4 way between Sky, Sammy, Kaz and WARDLOW. Have WARDLOW win so he gets a big moment (and earns an AEW contract in the match too) plus gets the TNT title away from the current stuff.
