Bummer that Santana and Ortiz never held the tag titles. Should’ve been the inaugural champs or at least the team to beat the inaugural champs.

Good luck to him in whatever he does.

I’m on board with the whole Miro being a selfish crybaby opinion but I won’t agree that Miro didn’t have the window to be at a top guy. Miro was a guy in 2014 to 2015 I would’ve said that’s a guy you can build a company around. The guy was a fantastic worker. He had the look and size. And he was over. Then WWE did it every thing they could to bury him, and he still got over with the Rusev day thing. If they had gotten behind him at that point as well, he would’ve been great. But again WWE absolutely squandered it. At this point, who knows.

I would have agreed with you then, I just think today that boat has sailed and the shine is off.

Rusev’s entire stchick in that era was the unbeatable anti-American heel.

Then he got beat.

He lost he heat once he got beat. But there’s only so far you can go with that gimmick.

I actually don't think he's a great worker either, at least, he hasn't shown to be one in AEW. I can't really think of a single HOLY SHIT moment in the ring with him. Maybe he wasn't trying hard but ya, I don't think he's ultimately a great fit for AEW

Miro/Rusev has always been a good hand.

But he was never “the guy” and I don’t think he ever had potential to be

yeah Wardlow and a few others found that out the hard way, as did Tony Khan. Booking big men isn't actually that easy in todays world

Santana never came right out and said it but I’m positive this is the booking issue he had where he wanted to leave but Ortiz was fine with just getting the money.

I really wish Tony had just let them have one run while the inner circle was the hottest angle on their television.

Oh, I agree there’s only so far the initial gimmick could’ve gone, but that’s why you evolve. I also think a lot of the heat he lost was because he really should’ve gone over Cena.

Wasn’t it Santana that said they were supposed to win at the belts at some point ?

bad luck and some iffy booking, no doubt. But ya TK is still learning too, it's a harsh lesson in booking big guys in a work rate centric company.

fortunately Wardlow SEEMS to be back on track as of 2 weeks ago. 5th times the charm?

I agree that he should’ve gone over Cena…

But then what?

How does he evolve from being that Anti-American until an American beats him?

It’s like the Rocky series. The only way the Ivan Drago character evolved later down the line is cause Rocky humbled him.
