Yeah and then they fired the guy responsible for no reason, lied to talent, and had some of their lowest ratings recently lol. Anthem burned a lot of bridges in a short amount of time
They didn’t have one of the lowest numbers ever. They actually just bounced back to their pre-TNA a rebranding spike. 80K is their average on AXS. It’s always been bad.

The guy's been here since the beginning, it sucks.

Can he make it on his own though?

Contract probably quietly lapsed, but this is why I think Tony should just give releases to people that want them.
Been thinking this for a while. With such a huge roster, you can’t please everyone. I’m sure there are people that would rather be cut and be on the indies

While I agree they are dumb, financially this far things have been unaffected n they even signed hammerstone. Way too early to call imo. Now if we wanna talk about risk reward of going live, that might kill em lol

With regards to large rosters, it's a thought of mine that companies shouldn't be needing something like 80-90 talents.

Here’s a question I have, after seeing his BS in AEW..does WWE bother with Miro when he gets released?
If Miro was free…

I’d say it’s an 75% chance they took him back

Santana is already pulling his weight on the Indies. It’s actually his tag team partner that’s still in AEW that I think is gonna have a hard time.

Depends on the company , booking style n amount of shows. With regards to aew they were a startup n gave a lot of ppl jobs in the pandemic. When they lost the youtube shows, talent on the bubble suddenly lost a lot of value in the bookers eye. Asw also threw a lot of stuff at wall early. Now they are established n entering phase 2, I'd imagine you'll continue to see a slightly tighter roster. Hopefully a separation in roh one day but I'm thinking that will all depend on how much money they get on their next tv deal.

I think if AEW and WWE did a roster purge, it'd be overall good for every other company. TNA, MLW, NWA, the lot of them. The more high end talent and big name free agents available, the better for the indies to expand.

I don’t think a hard cap is needed. Just measure it by the amount of television you produce, factor in possible injuries per year and whatnot.

The main thing I think you should do though is that whenever you sign like 5 to 6 new really big name talents you should look at your roster and cut some of the lower guys that you couldn’t possibly see yourself ever putting on a big pay-per-view drawing match. If you don’t ever see yourself being able to do any real business with that person, go ahead and let them go.
