Thoughts on what you hope to see in ME3?

What Shepard character classes will you be importing?

I for one cannot wait to play this game. The first two were my game of the year for those years and I was highly disappointed when I learned this wasn't getting a holiday release last year. I have 4 shepards I will be importing but my first will be my first ever Shepard. Renegade Solider/biotic (I forgot the class). I exterminated the Rachnai, killed Wrex, Kaiden, Thane, Mordin and sent your buddy Legion to Cerberus and never activated him.

The demo is great. I actually love the way they incorporated multiplayer as basically a horde mode. I think running is a bit wonky but it kind of has always been.

The demo was off the hook. I'd already seen the footage of the first level you play (not sure if that's meant to be the first level overall?) and yet again no game does a better job of making you want to mercilessly kill the bad guys in such a short space of time as Mass Effect. Emotions running high even in that same monotone voice we've heard for years.

Since ME2 I've swapped consoles and games so much I no longer have my Shepherds...but that led me to the realisation that I have just over a week to purchase 1 and 2 and play through them again. Any excuse.

You sent Legion to Cerberus?! :OhNoes:

Gotta hand it to you though, that's one thing I have never done and I've ran through that game at least a dozen times. Let me know what effect it has in ME3, if any. I'm curious about that. I couldn't bring myself to do it because I love hearing Legion's dialogue too much.

Didn't have a major issue with the running myself, though I hope the game doesn't make you engage in combat while running. The fact the camera zooms in on Shepard when running makes it a little hard to look around.

I hope there's at least a little extra stuff before the first level in that demo. I loved the demo too, I just feel the game starts in a little too much of a hurry.

And yeah, I suggest you get at least 1 Shep character to import because without an import, the default ME2 story line had pretty much straight renegade outcomes from ME1. Wrex is dead, the council is dead, the Rachni Queen is dead, you punched the reporter at the Citadel, Udina was the human council leader, the Feros colony didn't survive, etc. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the same way in ME3's default story line.

I agree, I wouldn't dream of handing Legion in to Cerberus.

I've got 3 or 4 games to import, mostly Paragon, one Renegade. All male, I haven't been able to bring myself to run a Femshep the whole way through. I'm just more comfortable and feel the game is more believable if you're a man, plus I prefer Mark Meer over Jennifer Hale even though a bunch of people seem not to. It depends on the line who delivers it better, really.

In all of them, Wrex is saved because I'm a biased Wrex loyalist, and Urdnot Wreav is dull as shit regardless, Legion was kept, and Grunt was let out of the pod. Kaidan is killed is all of them instead of Ashley, except for one of them just to change it up and see if there's something different to get from keeping him alive in ME 3. In all of the Paragon ones, everyone survived, which begs the question of why I did more than one different playthrough. In the Renegade one, the one I just completed a few days ago, I killed off Jack and Mordin on purpose. Jack because I just didn't want her around, and Mordin, as Ric Flair would say, with a tear in my eye, because I couldn't accept that the original Mordin got replaced. I HATE re-casts and from what I saw during the demo, he made Mordin boring and I just decided it would be better to leave his memory in tact. Fucking stupid to replace him, best character in the series behind Wrex by far. I might just change Jack and Mordin surviving in one of my Paragon playthroughs because that re-cast really bugs me, and even though I'm using one playthrough with everyone alive, I won't want to do it after that.

I don't remember what I did with the Rachni all the time, I think I may have changed it up. I know for sure they're gone in the Renegade one, and in one Paragon they're definately saved but I forgot which one. I know I did both, I just think I might have killed them in another Paragon one. Who knows.

Can't wait. Game of the year 2012, regardless of what the Spike tv awards say when Rockstar bribes them to pick GTA V.

:lmao Kaiden dies in every single one of my playthroughs. He is a complete bore to me.

Femshep has some good voice-acting, but like you said, I've ran through it with Manshep so many more times, it just feels more believable and necessary that he be a guy. If I ever do go through with Femshep, she's always a complete bitch to everyone. Have to make her renegade to even keep interest in it. Dunno if I have time, but I could always run through one more time before next Tuesday with a decent Femshep outcome just to see how it is in ME3. The only time I did it in ME2, Zaeed and Mordin both died and I try to save everyone.

I have 2 male Shepards and 2 female shepards. Each has a renegade and a paragon play through. I got rid of Legion because I didn't know what the hell he was. In my paragon one he's alive. I've also kept the council alive in the paragon ones. I kind of want to do a quick play through where Shepard and everyone else dies and fails their mission. I'd like to see how drastically different it is.

First off....I LOVE THE LIVE ACTION TRAILER! :mark:

1st Game:
I saved Wrex
Killed of Kaiden
Saved Rachni
Had sex with Ashley :wank:
Saved the council
Promoted Captain Anderson to the Council

2nd Game:
Stayed loyal to Ashley
Saved all my crew
Kept Legion (I LOVE THAT MACHINE)
Destroyed the Human Reaper

I can't wait to see how my choices will affect the last game. I hope they tie off your romance in a great way, hopefully they will incorporate the Rachni in the game if you saved them, and most of all, leave the story open. Halo 3 did that and now they are making Halo 4....we'll see how that goes though

My original play through I ditched Ashley for Miranda simply for the accent. Ashley looks way better though in ME 3. She had a bit of a tomboy image in the first Mass Effect. I really hope Bioware does another game like Mass Effect in the future. I can't imagine a world where I can't look forward to a huge immersive world where everything I do really affects the world.

If Shepard doesn't survive ME2, you can't import him into 3. Not sure if you meant leaving ONLY him alive, but its not possible. If everyone on your squad dies, you won't make that jump onto the Normandy when you're running out of the Collector base and he falls and dies. Even if you have only 1 squad member left, he still dies. I think 2 is the minimum, not sure about that.

I'm hoping for a prequel illustrating the fall of the Protheans personally. Would be way different for a game knowing the whole time it will end badly.

Well I know you can't import a dead Shepard but i think you can import all the actions you've done thus far in the trilogy. As I understood it, you can play as someone completely new in ME3.

I agree. I just liked the idea of keeping him alive just once for the sole reason of finding out if there was anything different. I like to explore as many different outcomes as I can.....within reason, of course. For example, I'll do one playthrough where the council lives, and one where they die, and one where I kill the rachni, and one where I let them live, but I won't do one where I kill Wrex or hand Legion to Cerberus. There's certain lines I won't cross, unfortunately for Ashley, killing her is not one of them. I agree she's better than Kaidan but if there's something different to be had by letting him live, I'd at least like to see what it is. Sure Kaidan is boring but so is Ashley to a degree.

Another main character instead of Shepard? :/ Haven't heard that before. That's news to me if true.

Definitely agreed with this. Frankly, even killing the rachni queen is one of those lines for me, considering their army is no doubt going to be a valuable ally in ME3. Killing the rachni queen is pretty much like killing a squad member in ME2 imo. Granted, I have no clue what degree of importance the rachni will play in ME3, but I just assume it's at least a considerable one if they felt the need to have that Asari chick to give you a status update on her in ME2.
