Previously on LU, with a video package focusing on Mexico being after Chavo, Black Lotus' captivity and DRAGO.

Oh hey, Drago's on the top of the Temple... with the wings and all! So, he's like Batman?

Vampiro apologizes for his actions from a week earlier. Vamp is nice.

Dario's in the middle of the ring, announcing a season finale called Ultima Lucha, also announcing a No. 1 Contendership Match for that event. He also announces the return of Blue Demon Jr. who enters the ring in a suit. To make sure he's not ring rust, Dario books him in a match with CHAVO, who's backed by Castro and Cisco, Dario makes it happen right now and it's Anything Goes. Dario's a dick. The match was more of an angle, as it was booked on the fly to humiliate Demon, also The Crew basically made it a 3-on-1 handicap match. It was proper.

Chavo visits the imprisoned Lotus. Something about the whole Mexico being after Chavo is ridiculously amusing.

Dario's in the bathroom and here comes Drago! He wants to be in that contender's match, Dario agrees but Drago must put his mask on the line. Drago has the worst Spanglish ever. Seriously.

The 6-man tag was good, it was nice to see Pimpi and Mascarita back to the Temple, Pimpi did particularly well as he/she/it got plenty of ring time. Bengala showcased his abilities in a lovely manner. But none of it matters, because CATRINA stole the show, she was drop dead gorgeous. Fucking hell, she's just soooo hot!

And here comes what is probably the greatest Dario's office scene ever, his sitdown meeting with Mundo was amazing, what a fantastic writing and acting, all the cliche lines were glorious. Ten star segment. And the best thing is, next week we get Mundo/Puma in a some sort of Ironman Match! Fuck yes!

Main event was really sweet, it was an exciting exhibition of dives and other big moves. Drago's new gear looks sick, especially the fantastic mask. Good match here. Puma confronts him post-match, apparently not knowing he might not even be the champ come Ultima Lucha, as he faces Mundo next week.

Dario's office again, here comes Catrina with her legendary ghost powers to choke a title shot for MM out of Dario. She's quite good at it. In two weeks, MM is going to challenge Drago for his Ultima Lucha title shot. Poor Drago. Catrina mentions Dario's monster, which shocks Dario. Jesus fucking Christ on a spit, she's definitely the hottest chick in pro-graps history.

  1. ANYTHING GOES (not really): Blue Demon Jr. vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. **1/2
  2. Disciples of Death (Barrio Negro, Sinestro de la Muerte, Trece) vs. Mascarita Sagrada, Pimpinela Escarlata, Bengala ***1/4
  3. 4-WAY - No. 1 Cont. for LU Title (at Ultima Lucha); Drago's Mask on the Line: Cage vs. King Cuerno vs. Hernandez vs. Drago ***1/2

Be more specific than that please, my bad. I mean is Morrison a great champ? Is the authority stuff still great? I see big names come and go, is it working in line with the timeline made so far?

Morrison isn't a champ, Prince Puma is still the champ and he's been a great one thus far.

He's had a bunch of title defenses and has always delivered.

Dario Cueto - the authority stuff, is still great. All those backstage segments featuring him and his employees are still cool.

Some new, interesting characters have been introduced, as well as new championships.

Everything about this show is awesome. If you're looking to have a blast, this is the show you're looking for. You're in for a treat!

The season finale will be 8 weeks from now, seems like you'll have plenty of time to catch up.

The following was issued today, announcing the two-hour season finale for Lucha Underground on August 5th:

ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5TH, EL REY NETWORK CELEBRATES 'LUCHA UNDERGROUND'S' BIGGEST EVENT YET WITH HIGHLY ANTICIPATED, TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE, ULTIMA LUCHA

Austin, TX, June 11th, 2015 – El Rey Network's debut season of "Lucha Underground" will culminate with their biggest event yet, Ultima Lucha, a two-hour extravaganza airing Wednesday, August 5th. Each match will be pivotal and the stakes have never been higher with every championship title on the line as the biggest names in the wrestling world collide at the "Lucha Underground" temple in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. In last night's episode, Dario Cueto announced that this never-before-seen event would be an annual celebration featuring the biggest bouts and the most amazing matches full of twists, turns, and incredible action.

"Ultima Lucha will be the biggest event in the first season of 'Lucha Underground'. All of our compelling storylines and characters will intersect in an action-packed and entertaining spectacle that our fans have come to expect from us," said Executive Producer and Showrunner Eric Van Wagenen. "Ultima Lucha is a spectacular payoff to our groundbreaking inaugural season and will hopefully become a very anticipated annual event."

The full lineup is yet to be announced but viewers can expect to see their favorite stars duke it out in the ring including: "Lucha Underground" Champion Prince Puma, Alberto El Patron, Johnny Mundo, Mil Muertes, Blue Demon Jr., and "Lucha Underground" Trios Champions Ivelisse, Angelico and Son of Havoc. Ultima Lucha will also welcome Drago, Hernandez, Texano, Sexy Star, King Cuerno, Pentagon Jr. and many more into the ring.

Ancient tradition, extraordinary athleticism and a flare for theatrics combine in El Rey Network's hour-long wrestling series, "Lucha Underground." The riveting original series introduces American audiences to the high-flying aerial maneuvers, slingshot moves, dramatic masks, intricate, rapid-fire combinations and distinctive wrestling techniques of Lucha Libre, one of Mexico's most popular sports. Executive produced by Mark Burnett's United Artists Media Group in association with FactoryMade Ventures, fans will have a ringside seat as masked villains and heroes face off to battle for wrestling supremacy. Some of AAA's most legendary Luchadores-Blue Demon Jr., Sexy Star, Fenix, Drago and Pentagon Jr. join U.S. based wrestlers Chavo Guerrero Jr., Konnan, Johnny Mundo and Prince Puma and more to provide enthusiastic viewers with an incredibly visceral and explosive experience with a focus on the artistry, originality, intense action and over the top characters that has come to define this phenomenal fan-favorite. A celebration of Lucha Libre's long-standing Mesoamerican heritage and culture, dating back to 1863, this is programming that must be seen to be believed.

"Lucha Underground" is produced by United Artists Media Group in association with FactoryMade Ventures for El Rey Network. Executive producers are Mark Burnett, Eric Van Wagenen (also showrunner) and Brian Edwards of United Artists Media Group; Dorian Roldán from Lucha Libre AAA; Alejandro Garcia and Antonio Cué Sánchez-Navarro; El Rey Network co-founder Robert Rodriguez; and FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa.
