ROH New Frontiers - ROH World Title: Austin Aries vs. Spanky

This was great really great. This was 20 minutes of great moves, telling a great story, executing everything perfectly and bringing it home with a red hot closing sequence. But the bigger story though is how close Aries came to getting dethroned and him being able to comeback and survive “by the skin of his teeth”. This Aries keeps up his streak of awesome ROH Title defenses and became one of the elite of the ROH roster with this win. ***3/4

WCW Starrcade 1994: Nasty Boys v.s Harlem Heat.

Man this match was pretty good for awhile. It was just a good brawl. Nasty Boys took the match where they wanted it and the Harlem Heat just kept fighting. It was just at one point everything fell apart for me. Stevie Ray does a move that I have no idea what his intentions were. He goes from a suplex in the aisle way only to drop his opponent shin first on the guardrail. That couldn't have been his real motive... It was just god awful but then again Stevie Ray always did suck. The match doesn't even keep it's pace after this with the intense brawling it just goes to restholds until Brian Knobbs makes a babyface comeback tag to his partner. After this Sherri Martel gets involved and costs her Harlem Heat the match. Yeah, it just needed to end at this point, it just pretty much fell off. Still the brawling for the first few minutes was sloppy but fun.

WCW Starrcade 1994: Kevin Sullivan v.s Mr. T.

This is mostly just forgettable. Mr. T clearly isn't much of a worker. Sullivan was watchable here but Mr. T doesn't know how to keep up. Sometime during the match T trips over a camera man and pretty much pins him until Sullivan pulls him off of him. This was just awful and it needed interference from Dave Sullivan to cost Kevin the match. What a waste of a celebrity. They shouldn't have even bothered following up his appearance at Halloween Havoc. Also T was wearing a referee outfit in this. Ugh.

ROH This Means War - AJ Styles vs Austin Aries

That was a pretty good match, but it wasn't amazing or anything. Not gonna lie i was slightly disappointed by it and felt it could pf been a hell of allot better. It was almost as if they couldn't decide whether they wanted to wrestle an X-Division style offensive blast or an ROH-style mat-based encounter/hard hitting contest so in the end got X-Mat-Hitting I liked that AJ focused all his offence on the back…not that Aries sold it particularly well. And Aries focused of the ribs not that AJs sold it particularly well either. The first five minutes or so also seemed like quite the waste of time as not a whole lot really happened but they did kick it into another gear after that. I just hope they do it in TNA now because i personally feel it will blow this one out of the water. ***1/4

WCW Starrcade '89 - Doom vs The Steiner Brothers

Pretty good stuff here, enjoyed it. Cornette and JR were great on commentary as well, plus the ending was real cool with Rick barely getting back in the ring to avoid the count out.

WCW Starrcade 1994: Avalanche v.s Sting.

Oh god no. Avalanche pretty much just laid on Sting for about 5 minutes doing various big man moves and resting when he felt like it. Sting comes back late but that is cut off by Kevin Sullivan. Well then Sullivan and Avalanche pick apart Sting until Hogan makes the save. Nothing really was accomplished here. It's your biggest show of the year and that is what you have for Sting? Give me a break. He gets a half ass DQ victory that just sets up Hogan for his main event yet to come. Just lame as hell.

WCW Starrcade '89 - Lex Luger vs Sting

Meh, this wasn't very good past the first two minutes or so. Hardly any actual moves, and the ending was horrible with them failing to go over the top rope back into the ring and Luger getting the win with one of the sloppiest covers ever. Sting was so over here though.

ROH Tag Wars 2006 - ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. Bryan Danielson & Jay Lethal

THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING, Both teams played their rolls to perfection. Danielson and Lethal were on another level as the two ASSHOLE/DICKHEAD's that worked like clockwork as a heel team. Strong looked absolutely unstoppable and they really were building the Dragon/Strong feud in reignited in brilliant fashion with their exchanges. Jay Lethal’s transformation to cocky prick was completed fantastically with this performance e.g. The way he stole moves from Joe and Aries and worked the crowd. Which left Aries as much as i love him he didn't do much for his character or gimmick here it was like the other 3 were all stealing the show and Aries just let them do them. Just an incredible stuff though, and makes me wish Wrestling companies let their tag champs work like this. ****1/4

WCW Starrcade '89 - Doom vs The Road Warriors

Decent big man match here that didn't feel like it lasted as long as it did (12 minutes or so). I liked the ending too. Also, what in the fuck is Nitron wearing at ringside during Doom's matches? lol

WCW Starrcade '89 - The Great Muta vs Ric Flair

What the fuck was this? Muta got locked in the Figure-4 about a minute in for 10 seconds and COMPLETELY no-sold it during and after the move. Flair got distracted by people brawling outside the ring, Muta missed a moonsault and Flair rolled him up for the win and he ends Muta's undefeated streak in a minute and a half. That was stupid.

WCW Starrcade 1994: The Butcher v.s Hulk Hogan.

Well this just plain sucked. Butcher dominates most the match with one of the blandest offense sprees you'll ever see. Hogan just takes it until you know he has to come back. He no sells Butcher's sleeper after just accepting everything else. Nothing really good about this, this shouldn't headline a Starrcade. Starrcade is known for quality wrestling until Hogan took over. I can't believe we went from Flair/Vader to this in just a year. Sullivan tries to get involved in this as well but it's HOGAN so he stops him then hits one punch on Butcher and hits a Leg Drop on Butcher for the victory. I think this match was the for belt but Butcher never deserved this match so I'll just pretend it was for nothing. Yeah, I hated this a lot.

WCW Starrcade '89 - The Road Warriors vs The Steiner Brothers

Nice match here, could have been better though. I hated the ending though, always have hated ones like that. What a weak Doomsday Device too.

WCW Starrcade '89 - The Great Muta vs Sting

Pretty good stuff here, but I expected it to be more fast-paced since it was only lasting 8 minutes. With the pace, you'd think it was going to full 15 minute time limit or even longer. Still good though.

Monday Night Raw 8/03/93 - The Model Rick Martel VS. Mr Perfect *** and a half

A well constructed main event with both working the crowd nicely, it has a good pace and blends brawling, with mat wrestling and some nice high spots too. In the end Perfect gets the perfect plex win.

WCW Saturday Night 7/8/1995: Kip Abee v.s Jim Duggan,

Just garbage. Duggan just wins after a couple moves. No development, no story, no nothing. Whatever. It wasn't supposed to be good anyways.
