Should just say "Fuck you, I'm Tiger Woods" to everyone saying he should withdraw because there's no reason for him to. Then win the tournament despite the two stroke penalty and say "Fuck you, I'm Tiger Woods" again.

It''s a tough situation for Tiger, he admitted his mistake after he submitted his scorecard. Clearly by admitting it, he knew when he signed it. Withdrawing would have been the right thing to do in my opinion but the Execs at CBS would never let that happen. The ratings would tank if that was the case.

I made my post right when the press conference with Fred Ridley (I believe that was his name) started, and that was so hilarious watching him change his story so many times, but what I got out of it was that a fan called in, said Tiger broke the rule, they reviewed it, saw nothing wrong so when Tiger signed his scorecard, everything was perfectly fine, they could have contacted him if he broke a rule in time, but they believed he didn't, so nothing was wrong. Then this Ridley guy said that it was Tiger's interview afterwards that convinced him that Tiger broke the rule because......Tiger admitting to breaking the rule. This is just sad.

it was a ridiculous situation........... but I think they kind of got it right in the end..... I think they knew he broke the rule but were gonna let him slide and then he gave the interview and basically admitted (without knowing it) that he broke the rule so they had to do something and there is no way they could DQ him when they made their final decision well after he had signed his card.... Would be just AWESOME if he could make a Sunday run and win this thing, the Haters would just go nuts

Yeah @Troy, what happened was he hit a wedge on 15 that hit the flagstick and rolled back off the green and into the water.... he took a drop 2 yards behind where he had just hit from (which is an illegal drop), made bogey on the hole and moved on... A television viewer called the PGA and said he thought Tiger had taken an illegal drop, The PGA reviewed the drop and declared there was NO infraction.... after his round Tiger incriminated himself by saying he had dropped the ball 2 yards back of the original spot.. The PGA revisited the video and met with Tiger and gave him a 2 stroke penalty off of his score... He was not DQ'd because at the time he signed his card, he had not yet been given the penalty as they originally found no infraction and therefore his card was correct... It was only after his round during his interview that they decided to take action... LOTS AND LOTS of players calling for him to withdraw despite the matter seemingly to be in accordance with protocall... People claiming that he is getting preforential treatment

Thanks for the recap. In the end I don't think it is up to him to withdraw or not, the officials should make the decision to DQ him if he broke the rules, since they didn't I don't mind him playing on. I am stunned that the officials looked into something after a viewer called in, it could have been his ex-wife trying to prevent him from winning. Surely with all the officials on the course it should be up to them and not some outsider watching replay after replay at home.

Very happy how this final round is shaping up. Three Australians in the top five with Scott one off the pace and Day and Leishman two off the pace. Day finished poorly with two bogeys but hopefully tomorrow all three are firing so that finally an Australian can win The Masters. Going to have to get up early to catch as much of the last round as possible.

Probably the best chance they ever had with those 3 in the top 5. Always been a fan of Scott, he will have my support today if Snedeker falters.

ADAM SCOTT!

Ecstatic right now.

I was up early to watch it and I caught the last half of the days play. Day looked like he was in control and then those two bogeys on 16 and 17 cost him his chance, some strange club selections there. Cabrera looked solid in the back nine and was finding his grove. Scott sinking that putt on 18 had me on my feet, that was a clutch putt and he sunk it with ease. Then Cabrera had to come along with that perfect approach. Playoff was so intense, they followed each other shot for shot and Cabrera was so close twice. I would never have guessed that Scott would clinch it with two clutch putts.

Amazing turnaround for him after The Open last year. Finally the hoodoo is broken, first Australian to ever win at The Masters. This is up there with Americas Cup in my opinion.

Tiger Woods is in sensational form this year after he won the Players Championship as well earlier this month. Four wins so far this year and he is opening up a clear lead as number one on the golf rankings.

Was watching some of the Euro PGA Championship before and Ernie Els hit a fantastic eagle shot that turned square once it hit the green. Phenomenal shot.

The R&A and United States Golf Association announced a ban for anchored putters starting in 2016. Big call since four of the last six major winners have used anchored putters and already there is talk of some players taking this ruling to court. Interestingly the PGA Tour hasn't announced their decision next. I am not a fan of the huge broomstick putters but I am surprised that the ban is purely on anchoring to the body so even those using shortish putters can't use that technique. At least they have given players plenty of time to adjust.

yeah I'm still not sure exactly where i stand on the putter issue....While I do understand how anchoring the putter to one's self could create an advantage over player's who don't, I also realize that those types of putters have been around for quite some time and it's believable that some players may have learned to putt using only that type of club and therefor it is a direct disadvantage to them , to have them try and learn a whole new way of putting in the coming years....

P.S. I take back anything positive I've ever said about Sergio Garcia, he's a whiny little bitch....

They have let the issue continue on for too long whereas they should have dealt with it as soon as the broomstick putters started to be used.

I never realised how much Sergio and Tiger disliked each other, they really don't see eye to eye either. Agree that Sergio should just shut up and move on with things, focus on the golf and just forget about Tiger.

Been really impressed by Matteo Manassero lately. 20 year old golfer from Italy that won the BMW PGA Championship last week on the fourth playoff hole, his second playoff victory. Held his nerve under pressure to get the win. Has a fantastic short game and he showcased that quite a few times at the PGA Championship, some incredible chip shots. Has won a tournament each year that he has been a pro and is already in the Top 30 in the World Golf Rankings.
