yes, agreed.... swings the club quite nicely.... as a student of the game I have come to appreciate the guys with great technical approaches and he along with Shwartzel, and Oosthuizen are great examples of that.... if you're teaching a young kid to golf, show them clips of those 3 and you can't go wrong

So I haven't been watching any of the tournament, but ESPN showed Tiger on that hole where it took him like 7 strokes, what the fuck was wrong with him?

ahhh it happens, only with Tiger when it happens it's national news..... he played like absolute shit this week, there's no denying that, but it happens with every golfer from time to time, the difference is golf coverage shows every shot Tiger takes on every hole of every tournament..... if it happens again next time he plays, it's a story but for now it's just a bad week...... we'll see

So close to another Australian winning a major but it wasn't to be. Jason Day had a good start to the day but faded in the last eight holes to finish in a tie for second, his fourth top three finish in just eleven starts. Phil Mickelson was the unlucky bridesmaid again for the sixth time at this tournament, just can't catch a break. Justin Rose played very well for his first major victory, tough conditions out there and him winning with a score of +1 says it all.

The Open Championship is next month so not long to wait.

Very interesting US Open to say the least, ive been to Merion a time or 2 and didn't think there was any way they could have it play as difficult as some past opens... boy was I wrong. Something kind of nice about seeing the best in the world struggle like that.... cant wait for the open championship, my second favorite tournament behind the Masters... ill be in your shoes Troy, having to wake up at 3am to watch the coverage... and I will

I agree that it is nice to see the pros struggle out there, doesn't make me feel as bad when I play a round. The time difference is shocking, I didn't watch any full days, I just woke up a bit earlier each day it was on to catch the last half of each day's play. Enjoy the early starts when The Open comes around.

The open championship is upon us and once again Tiger Woods is the odds on favorite to win.... Gotta say I think this might be his best chance since his resurgance... seems to be in a good frame of mind, absolutely loves the course, has decided to not use driver so he should be in far more fairway's.... he's been the favorite for the last 3-4 majors but I didn't really buy it until this one... just feels like its time...... cant wait to get up at the asscrack of dawn to watch some golf from across the pond! !

Going to be great flicking between Golf, Cricket and the Cycling over the weekend. Fantastic weekend for sports.

Last year was horrible watching the Open, well the last four holes in the final round were horrible when Adam Scott bogeyed all of the last four. Hopefully this year he can take confidence from his Masters victory. Jason Day has been top ten at both majors this year so he has form. Woods and Mickleson are the front runners though, Mickleson picked up his first European victory in about two decades the other week and Woods seems to be back in top form. Should be a good four days.

Muirhead isn't the nicest looking course but it's location makes it a very difficult one thanks to the winds. McIlroy had a shocker on the first day with +8 and will most likely miss the cut, nothing seemed to go right for him yesterday. No Australians really had a good round yesterday, Scott had par but is already +2 today, but hopefully a few can still make the cut. Always tough keeping track the first couple of days because there are so many players, much easier in the last two rounds.

Set my alarm for 4:30 am, have been watching since... Westwood playing well today as well as the 19yr old Jordan Spieth... Tiger should probably have a share of the lead but has missed a few very short putts. Still playing well and if the course stays true to what it did yesterday, nobody should pull away this afternoon... I really, really enjoy this event

Impressed by Speith, first time I have watched him play. Looks older than 19 and has been quite composed so far under a bit of pressure. Woods has been a bit wasteful on the greens as you said. Westwood has come out of nowhere today, didn't really notice him that much yesterday but -5 through 11 already today. Just shows that there are plenty of birdie opportunities out there.

First three days have been good to watch and we are set for a quality final round. Would have been nice to see a bit more of Adam Scott yesterday but surely that will change tonight since he is fourth. Crazy that only three players are under par after three rounds. The winner tomorrow could be decided by how the conditions change throughout the days play. Westwood looked good yesterday but was a bit wasteful. Woods is only one shot behind but has never won a major when not in the lead after the third round. Will be hoping for Scott and if not him then Woods to get back to the top.

Absolutely LOVE that Woods and Scott are paired up today!! the Stevie Williams factor should have both guys gunning for one another which will make for interesting drama and hopefully some fine play...... Think Westwood would have been better suited playing against Tiger again as he usually seems to step up against him..... Congrats to Hunter Mahan, quietly sneaks into the final group on the final day of a major for the second straight time.... some decent scores out there early today, hoping that's a sign of what's to come as I'd rather see someone go out and WIN rather than watching a bunch of guys flounder and one guy "holding on" for victory

WOW!!!! What an amazing performance by Phil Mickelson on the final 3 holes!! Mathematically Westwood and Scott still have a chance but I just don't see any way either one can birdie out to catch him... Thought Tiger had a little run left in him after his terrific shot on 14 and I think he hit a very good second shot on 15, just didn't react like it had all week... Mickelson deserves the win, no doubt about it

Watched the first two holes of Scott's final round then fell asleep, too many late nights in a row thanks to Golf, Cricket and Cycling. Good to see Mickelson win on his 20th attempt, I predicted before the tournament that he would be one of the front runners. I read that Scott at one stage was two shots clear out front but then had three or four bogeys in a row to destroy his chances of victory. Another missed opportunity for him but T3 is still a good result. One day he will win The Open.
