Yeah Mickelson was just incredible all 4 days and that putt put a stamp on it..... I hope Tiger and Phil winning back to back is a sign of things to come, the game is clearly better when those 2 are playing well.... Brant Snedeker just can't catch a break, 5 top 5's in his last 8 starts and he'd have back to back wins if not for Tiger and Phil... looking for another good week from Mickelson as they go to Pebble Beach where he is defending champ, could come out of it on top of the Fed-ex cup standings and back into the top 5 of the World Rankings

He played the perfect week and couldn't do a thing wrong, was never going to be caught. Snedeker's consistency has been fantastic and it is just unfortunate that he hasn't been able to pull off a couple of wins during this great run. He has now moved up to number six in the rankings and that win must be just around the corner. Hopefully Woods and Mickelson can continue this form for a couple more months in the Masters.

I used to play a ton in High School but then I went to college and more or less stopped. Haven't played regularly in about 8 years now. I only watch the 4 majors but I watch every shot and am pretty hardcore into them.

I am similar I watch all of the majors and all the tournaments during the Australian summer but otherwise I mainly catch up on highlights packages to keep track of how things are going.

Brandt Snedeker at it again, just might be the best player in the world right now.... I bet he wishes the Master's was next week as good as he's playing.... this Pro-Am is a great reminder of one thing... Bill Murray is the coolest motherfucker on planet Earth

Was another great performance by him and good to see him pick up the win this time after a couple of top three finishes. Moved him up to number four in the world as well which is a career high for him. I read earlier that he has hit something like 107 birdies in his last five tournaments, that is stunning form.

In Australia the womens Australian Open is on right now and 15 year old NZ amatuer Lydia Ko is leading after the first day, she has already won three titles and must be a huge prospect for the future. Incredible to be that good at that age.

It'squite something that on the Women's side they keep getting these teenage girl's who are immediately competing... I know on the men's side there have been some youngsters to qualify for tournaments and such but they never seem to make the same impact the young women make... I wonder if it speaks more to a new breed of young talent coming up the ranks within the women or if the current crop of top players just really isn't so good and these younger girls might just fly by them as they progress......

kind of a dud of a tournament starting today, with Tiger and Rory both scheduled to play the following 3 weeks.... Doubt I'll watch much of it but I'm certainly starting to get excited as they work towards the Master's

I think the key is that a young woman can have similar strength to the professional women on tour so they can hit similar distances. On the men's side a young man isn't going to have anywhere near the power of a grown man and so they will struggle to compete successfully as a 15 year old on the PGA tour. I hope that with Ko she doesn't end up like Michlle Wie who was hyped like crazy when she was young but it was so much pressure and hype that she hasn't really delivered on. She certainly made a lot of money out of it but hasn't backed it up with tournament wins.

Was a great win for Tiger at the Cadillac Championship. Ominous signs heading into the Masters in a month's time with Woods winning for the fifth time in the past year which is more than anyone else. He could also be number one heading into the Masters as well. I was very happy to see Adam Scott have a great final round of -8 to end up tied for third along with one of my other favourite golfers in Segio Garcia.

if Tiger can chip and putt like that, he might be unstoppable at Augusta, he can hit 3 wood off most par 4's there so his still iffy driver play shouldn't have much of an effect on his score...... Adam Scott and Rory both played GREAT yesterday.. I always get super excited for the Master's but this year could be really special if guys can keep up their good play.... I always had a soft spot for Sergio, but he always just seems to crumble over the weekend when he's near the top.. kind of like Greg Norman where you feel bad for him for a while but then eventually it changes to a feeling of the guy just can't get it done.

Sergio has always had a problem with pressure and even he himself admitted that he would never win a major because of it. I still hold out a bit of hope that one weekend it will all click for him. I hope that Scott doesn't go down the same route as him and Norman, he has choked once before but hopefully has learnt from that. Should be a good Masters if all these top guys can hold form and make it a close contest at the top.

I hate the fact that being a Golf fan means you got to go out of your way nowadays just to see who is winning. If I can't catch the tournament when it's on and just want to see highlights on SportsCenter, you usually just get nothing or some spectacular shot. Otherwise you can wait for the ticker to show up for Golf at the bottom but they are more worried about Tiger than the actual tournament so you usually only get to see what he's up to. Seriously? Why the fuck would a real Golf fan care if Tiger is barely making the cut? I want to know who is winning, it should certainly be the most important thing but I guess America and it's celebrities trumps a boring sport such as Golf. Such bullshit.

A guy like Tiger is just such a big name that they are bound to focus on him especially when he is doing quite well. Here is Australia it isn't too bad, we normally get a couple of minutes of highlights then a leaderboard which also shows Australians and notable names even if they aren't near the top. I like that format because whilst I want to know who wins I also want to know what form the top players are in and what form my favourite players are in.

Do you get the Golf Channel? they have a constant ticker rolling all throughout tournaments ...... and I hear ya on Tiger, but they don't have much of a choice. I read a while back (and I don't remember the exact numbers) but their viewership almost doubles for events he is playing in... these are people that are specifically tuning in to watch him and unfortunately they kind of have to cater to those fans as the rest (like me) will watch no matter who is playing/winning
Troy... If you remember, Rory choked on the final day of the Masters a few years back, blew like a 4 or 5 stroke lead, and everyone wondered if he could recover from that. He won the US open later that year.... So it isn't impossible to think Sergio or Scott could get over whatever issues they've had with pressure and win a major, although I think Scott is WAY more likely
